Overall, the game is fun and a worthy addition to the Resident Evil franchise. All it needs is a couple of tweaks and a dedicated fan base, and it could become one of the more popular Resident Evil games purely because of its endless replayability and fun factor.

Resident Evil: Resistance is the multiplayer game attached to Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, and unfortunately it's just that - a mere attachment. It's half-baked, and not very good at all. I also strangely like it, or at least I've been playing it a lot. I wonder what it's like to play as a Mastermind though. Matchmaking won't let me try.

With a refined matchmaking system (and rewards to go with it), as well as a balanced set of character classes and improved monster control, it could be a sleeper hit for many. For now, though, it feels like a missed opportunity. The fact it's bundled with a fantastic 5-star game in the form of Resident Evil 3 Remake, certainly helps. But as a standalone product, it's a fun but ultimately flawed experience; albeit one we hope improves in time.

One of the most underrated games ever. Incredibly fun coop experience, deep strategic complexity with tons of different builds and playstyles with both survivors and mastermind. Each survivor for example has different skills and skills variants that forms different roles and playstyles. Tons of different skins and cosmetics inside the game, all for free, unlocking by playing the game. The graphics are beautiful and just as amazing as the RE remakes and the gameplay is fluid and smooth. Every single detail in the game is made to be 100% faithful to the RE franchise universe, making a Resident Evil fan feels like home when playing, just like I did. The voice acting are incredibly good with the original voice actors voicing some classics RE characters. This is literally the best asymmetrical multiplayer ever made, much more dynamic, interactive and strategic than DBD for example. The only reason I don't give a 10 out of 10 is because of Capcom, that refused to create a dedicated servers for the game, what leads the game have to bad technical issues like lag and disconnects. Another sad downside is the fact that this game is hidden behind the horrible "remake" of RE3, meaning you have to buy it to have access to REResistance. Unfortunately both issues are refused to be solved by capcom. Sad to see such a gem with literally infinite potential being neglected by these damned corpos that not only murdered RE3 but killed REResistance as well.

Resident Evil SWAT. Do not let the college looking kids fool you, the team work required between survivors is second to none. Dead by Daylight is good, this is better. I have thousand hours on each game, like them both, but Resistance has more fun packed into its matches. -1 point for no proper matchmaking(game very hard on new players), -1 point for capcom giving up on game no new updates. Still incredible 4v1, it has to be, over 3 years since release and there is still a lot of people playing this gem on playstation. Every other RE multiplayer game was dead month after release, this title is still going strong and you can still find games within few minutes even in the middle of the night. Capcom is my favorite publishing house, tons of top action games, but they goofed this up. Resistance deserved better.

Resident Evil Resistance is a surprisingly terrific topper to its base game package. It is one of the only multiplayer games where teamwork is genuinely essential. Not only that, but playing as the Mastermind is a truly unique and empowering experience. Accessible, layered, and blood-pumping, this is a marvelous multiplayer foundation that will only get better.

As a freebie included with Resident Evil 3, you can't really fault Resistance, but it helps that its asymmetrical multiplayer is also a lot of fun. It’s a unique take on the Resi universe and I hope it finds some longevity.

The game was being developed to be more like a RE: Outbreak PvP, but Capcom decided to rush the devs to launch it in bundle with RE3 Remake because they knew they made it a small game, so they needed something to complete it.+

Resident Evil Resistance is wildly inconsistent. There are great ideas buried underneath abysmal balancing, annoying technical issues, and matchmaking woes. Playing as series icons like William Birkin and Mr. X is an appreciated novelty, but the routine objectives make playing as the survivors tiresome. With enough love and care, hopefully Resistance’s better ideas can rise to the surface, but right now there’s still a lot of work to be done.

The Mastermind gets to have most of the fun in Resident Evil: Resistance, but surviving is less than a blast.

As it stands right now, however, it simply isn’t fun to play most of the time. Stick to Left 4 Dead in the meantime; Resident Evil Resistance is better left buried until its developers have reanimated it with some much-needed updates.

The Resident Evil multiplayer curse continues. Resident Evil Resistance presents some promising ideas, and messing with people as the Mastermind has its moments, but unsatisfying action, clunky level design, a lack of content, and manipulative microtransactions snuff out the game’s potential. Sadly, trying to wring more than a few minutes of fun from Resident Evil Resistance is futile.

My theory is that the game was cancelled even before the launch with RE3. If we pay attention, everything that came with updates is content that was already made, but kept off the game to use as update later, to give it some extra life through the year. +

RE resistance is a good time for a short time that I think would truly be great with a group of friends. The game pits survivors and a mastermind against each other both played by players. The survivors play like typical resident evil characters all having their own special abilities like hacking the masterminds cameras, temporary unlimited ammo and a aoe healing ability. The survivors need to collect key items in each area to advance with their being three areas in total per map. The Mastermind has a set of camera from which he can observe the survivors from as well as set traps such as mines, zombies and other creatures including an ultimate monster depending on which mastermind your playing. The mastermind are given a deck of card that include the above items and where you apply them creates a strategic gameplay style that was fun to mess around with. The goal of the survivours to escape all three areas by beating all the objects within the time limit and the mastermind has to stop them from doing so. The actions of each faction increases or decreases the time which means a well placed monster can change the tide quickly if the survivors aren't careful. Playing as the survivors gives you new micro sized RE areas to explore that I honestly enjoyed exploring and the structure of being able to buy stuff based on performance gave me strong COD zombies vibes which is rarely a bad thing. Overall this game was enjoyable and not the afterthought I assumed it was.

It's a good game, The idea was interesting, the graphics are good and it is fun to play. Those were the only positive points. The cons: you will get bored after a few days, maybe weeks, the are a lot of bugs and above it all the servers are bad and the game crashes a lot too.

I hate re3 2020 but ok i'll say my real opinion here. Its a good idea but really bad performance. RE3 2020 deserves a grade ZERO its dog **** But i can see resistance as another game, even then Both was made at same time. I'll be honest and give a 4. Really broken mechanics. If you face a master might lv30,60,100... you'll die in less than 2 minutes. If your hero team is 30,60,100, you'll win in less than 2 minutes. Terrible host connection. This game needs a better balance.

Resident Evil 3 may have been disappointingly short, but this...this is just a straight up dull, unoriginal 4 vs 1 multiplayer survival that doesn't make much effort to innovate from the very games it rips off. It's a rushed, lootbox-infested online game that will likely be dead within a matter of weeks. Nobody wanted this. RE3 Remake as a whole would've been so much better if they had just given us all of its now-missing original content instead of trying to make up for it with this unfinished crap.

Unleash your inner evil as a cunning Mastermind or join the fight as one of the resourceful Survivors desperately trying to escape... Read More
