Great shooter from the universe of Warhammer 40K. Dark, rough and with unfinished work. If you are looking to fill the time and you don´t mind a new crazy action, give it a chance. But there is still work to be done and things to improve.

Despite his promising beginnings, impressive artistic direction and sincere good ideas, Necromunda Hired Gun proves to be an experience far too fragile on the rest to bring true playing pleasure.

Necromunda had every chance to become a sudden summer hit. Great gunplay, nice parkour, gory finishing moves. But it lacks one crucial thing: good enemies. As it is, they’re basically training dummies. [Issue#254, p.60]

The story is a mess, the inventory management is cumbersome, and the side missions are forgettable… But the shooting mechanics are so fun, the character movement so smooth, and the weapons so satisfying to use that I can’t give it less than four stars. If you like the latest Doom games or other titles from id Software, you have to try it. My rating: ****

On its surface this game is doom eternal in 40k setting, which is something in theory i would delight. Sadly thats where the good things i can say about game ends. Gameplay is repetitive the story is HORRIBLE! Voice acting is poorly done. An ambitious game that has fails to deliver what it promises.

A bit of decent shooting with a couple of unique(ish) levels, but I can't recommend the complete package. As a boomer shooter enjoyer who likes fast paced shooters, the core gameplay is decent enough, but it's the rest of the game that brings it down. It takes place in the underhive, I get it, but man I got tired of seeing the same environments constantly. The looting system feels slapped on and not very fleshed out with a confusing inventory system. Played through on the normal difficulty and some of those early levels before you get many upgrades are brutally difficult and if you don't get very proficient in your advanced movement and abilities, you're probably gonna have a bad time throughout. A basic story that is very forgettable. I'm a 40K fan, but having a bland shooter with a Warhammer coat of paint wasn't doing it for me. I only played 1 side mission and the game only took about 7 hours to complete, though there are plenty of (admittedly not very interesting) side missions if you do happen to want more out of this. Though you can pet the dog :)

Necromunda works as a shooter, but the competition is fierce, and it remains several steps behind the masters of the genre.

Necromunda: Hired Gun has some jank and some odd qualities, but when tearing your way through hordes of cyborgs is this much fun, I don't really mind so much.

Absolutely LOVE this game. Love playing as a Bounty Hunter in the Warhammer Universe and it was money well spent!

Наиграл 50+ часов, стрельба из болтера отдельный вид оргазма. Дизайн локаций крутой, бои динамичны. Отличная игра за свой НЕ фулл прайс.

A game that will please every Warhammer 40K fan with its narrative and gameplay mechanics, but can be a bit shallow for everyone else. And the team still has to do plenty of optimization to make the game work well on most on the platforms where it's available.

Necromunda: Hired Gun does have redeeming qualities. The movement is great, the gunplay feels good, and the environmental design is stellar. There's simply a legion of issues on both the design and technical fronts working overtime to hold it back. If you are willing to overlook Hired Gun's many problems and massive amounts of jank you'll likely have a great time blasting gangers to bloody bits. But, I won't fault you for waiting on a sale or sequel instead.

Necromunda often oscillates between a brilliant indie gem and a frustrating mid-tier game. Some moments, it’s the best Warhammer 40,000 action game – as you mow down enemies and watch their skulls explode to its rocking tunes, and look stylish doing it as you chain grappling hook shots and double-jumps. Other times, you miss a major story beat because an important character’s audio mix was too low, or feel like you’re pixel-hunting for enemies like it’s Warzone.

Necromunda: Hired Gun is a frenetic fps without a moment of pause, but various technical problems, a forgettable story and a gunplay with too many ups and downs put some excellent ideas in the background.

Necromunda is a sight to behold, but it's undermined by wonky shooting, superfluous mechanics, and bugs.

The guns, movement and levels feel pretty fun. The voice acting and story are kinda odd. Also there are a decent amount of bugs nearly every players encounters. Other then that its worth a playtrhough (~5hrs) or smth like that.

After spending 21 hours and completing pretty much the entirety of this game my main thoughts are the following, while it has some characteristics of a truly great action game it also suffers by a number of issues that makes the game more in line with your slightly above average or 7/10 game. So it's an FPS action game with some light rpg elements like leveling up and upgrading some gear and abilities, so far so good and overall that's what it does well. It offers some good action while also featuring a well implemented grappling hook thing which it can really make a difference, also the shooting I think it's good enough and feels nice. What is not so great is the technical issues, how it looks and that it is in my opinion a rather outdated video game, also the characters not so great but I can live with that. So the game absolutely does not look next gen at least the way I experienced it, the vivid colors realistic high quality textures etc are not here. It is more reminiscent of an early to mid PS4 era FPS. Finally in a technical aspect this game is just terrible, from regural bugs and glitches, stacking in environments game crashing every 1-2 hours, HUD just disappearing from the screen for large amounts of time etc. A pretty big mess overall.

First of all, NHG is an arena shooter; some may like it, some may not (I don't). While the game is very likeable, IMO, it has some very annoying flaws: - it's buggy: there are clipping issues; sometimes, the player inadvertly gets out of the level boundaries, and they will be unable to get back in, necessarily losing a life - occasional "find the exit" mechanics: in an action game, such mechanics are not appropriate; it's out of place to figure out silly puzzles about finding how to escape - side missions are somewhat miscalibrated; it's hard to finish them before some levelling up; and again, some "find the exit" objectives are very annoying - glory kills are too slow - they really break the flow - and they're also not very clear as in Doom - at times, it's unclear if the objective is to escape an arena or keep killing enemies (and in the first case, one ends up wasting time) - at least one boss in the first half of the game is a silly bullet-sponge enemy; it takes something like 15/20 minutes of almost continued shooting, to the point that it's not clear if there's some other objective that one should pursue. It's a big shame, because the world is fantastic IMO.
SummaryBecome a Hired Gun. The money’s good, the dog’s loyal, and the gun’s reliable. Embark on an indie fast-paced, violent, and thrilling FPS set in the darkest reaches of Warhammer 40,000’s most infamous hive city.
