Mechstermination Force is a terrific boss-rush adventure that grants a few hours of undisputed, frenetic, and fast-paced gunplay against gargantuan robotic titans. Climb up the legs and torsos of these mighty beasts and take back Earth. Up to two heroes can blast away these monsters to the backdrop of fantastic audio tracks, while using a plethora of the biggest and most damaging guns. The visuals look neat, and the action-heavy fights are pretty to look at. If one downside had to be mentioned, it's that this experience can be over pretty quick as there aren't a lot of MegaMechs to battle, and the three-star system used to replay previous battles doesn't feature any further incentive other than bragging rights.

Mechstermination Force isn’t the longest game, but that’s no negative, just an observation. There’s nothing wrong with cutting to the chase, and there’s also nothing wrong with a developer focusing on what a game does best as opposed to bolting on extraneous extras. This is a perfect example of all meat on the bone and no fat. It’s fun to imagine Mechstermination Force with actual platforming stages littered with baddies to blast, but ultimately it feels like Hörberg is a master at zeroing on in what best serves the games that he makes. The gauntlet of MegaMechs in Mechstermination Force sucks players in from the outset and never lets go. This is a must for any Switch owner.

If you are looking for another run ‘n gun boss rush game for Nintendo Switch, Mechstermination Force is definitely a great option and cements Hörberg Productions as one of the most consistently great Nindie developers. As the indie scene on Nintendo Switch gets more and more crowded, it is important to know which titles are worth your time.

Un excelente boss rush ,algo corto pero muy divertido .Ideal para la Switch con una gran banda sonora muy en la línea épica de las películas de Kaijus y un apartado gráfico artístico muy agradable.

This would be a great game if it wasn't impossibly difficult. A few simple tweaks would make it a lot of fun, but it's not worthwhile playing as it is.

This game is very underrated and I hope more people find out about this game. The boss fights were very addictive and there was a lot of creativity put into this. I kept replaying boss fights until I mastered them. I really recommend Mechstermination Force for people who like a challenge and for people that are fans of old school arcade games.

Get Mechstermation Force, get a partner if you can, and get ready to save the world. You’re going to frequently die trying, but the process will be a blast.

Mechstermination Force is the result of combining the boss structure of Cuphead with the shooting mechanics of Contra. An indie game that shows a great game design, with an excellent balanced challenge. You should't miss it.

Mechstermination Force is a fun and demanding game based entirely on boss rushes that will provide a series of tough and enjoyable moments to any players who are looking for a difficult but rewarding experience and to all those who are motivated to pursue a good challenge.

Mechstermination Force isn't a game for those easily frustrated; it requires a lot of patience. But beating a boss on the first try would never be fun. Only after losing again and again and nearly giving up but then whispering to yourself "one more go," should the boss's patterns be fully revealed.

I found some of the MegaMech abilities felt a bit cheap – bullets shouldn’t be able to travel through hard surfaces. There are over a dozen boss fights in Mechstermination Force, and we logged in over 5 hours playtime, which is a pretty decent value. If you’re looking for a challenge and a solid co-op game, then I can easily recommend Mechstermination Force.

If you’re a fan of boss rush then you already know what you’re in for with Mechstermination Force. The difficulty is punishing, but the feeling of accomplishment after each victory makes it all worthwhile. Well, mostly.

Fun, creative, and challenging boss battles dampened by outdated controls. Frustrating fun.

Contra meets Shadow of The Colossus. + Challenging yet rewarding when you finally figure out how to take each Mech down. + Requires patience and a willingness to experiment and learn from each new death. + Focused design makes a welcome change from sprawling open world epics. + Addictive "one more go" arcade action - Character can feel "floaty" and imprecise - probably intentional, but hope the devs will tighten this up through updates

Insanely disappointing game. Just stick with Gunman Clive. Feels very unpolished and has very clunky controls. Wait for a deep deep sale or just skip all together, it's just mediocre as mediocre gets.

Mechstermination Force is extremely dissapointing. In this review, I will compare it to Cuphead quite a bit because they are in the same genre, but I will basing my score based off of the merits of this game alone. Mechstermination Force is a bossfight/boss rush game where you have to take down giant mechs who are attacking the city. First, you must break their armour and then you must hit the big buttons located all over the mech's body. This game has an awesome premise but is so poorly executed. The controls feel horrible and it is hard to do even basic platforming. The game severely lacks polish and feels like a project made in the free version of Unity. This game's bosses resemble those of Cuphead's in their unique movesets but fall short everywhere else. The shop mechanics are also super wierd - you get coins just by playing levels, even if you lose. It feels like the devs want you to die over and over to get upgrades rather than earn them. The game itself doesn't feel that hard - the difficulty comes from the lack of polish and the mechanics that don't work with each other very well. Some fights require platforming, and this game is terrible at that. It is clear that this wasn't a cash grab which is why I still have respect for it, but the more and more I play the less and less I like it.
