Last Year: The Nightmare
Last Year: The Nightmare is an admirable take on the asymmetrical survival horror genre, and despite not doing too many things outside of the box, the stellar presentation and level of detail throughout helps the game survive long enough to warrant the price of entry for fans of the genre.
While Last Year: The Nightmare shows a lot of promise, the game simply feels shallow at the moment. The game can be really fun at times but no progression, bugs and glitches and horrific balance issues can ruin all the fun.
The core gameplay offers moments of undeniable excitement, but without more depth, variety, and some sense of progression, Last Year won’t survive long against the competition.

Last Year: The Failure. Poor devs, bad management that ban players for no reason, poor mans version of every survival type game there was, months of wait for Steam release, voice chat done so horribly on discord, etc. This game is a huge flop and we all called it. Good job Elastic Games, you released a boring dead on arrival game and even they abandoned it too. Grand opening of the company, grand closing.

Last Year: The Nightmare is off to a great start. It's a fun team-based horror title that is addictive to play and you can get lost in for hours, whether as the killer or the potential victims. My only real complaint with the game is that three levels is a bit on the slim side, but to their credit the maps are fantastic and exciting to play across the board.

Last Year: The Nightmare is a five vs one team-based jaunt through a decimated high school playing tag with a serial killer that entertainingly evokes the feel of popular horror B-movies.

Last Year: The Nightmare is a fun, albeit shallow experience that could use more content and reasons to keep playing. In the increasingly crowded market of asymmetrical online horror games, Last Year manages to streamline a lot of what usually makes these types of games so frustrating to play.

This is a solid game if you are a fan of asymmetrical horror. There are some definite bugs to be fixed at launch as well as some much needed balance patches, however as a whole I give the game a buy. It's already better than similar games and is on par with dead by daylight which had a considerable head start.

Last Year: The Nightmare is one of those games that has a lot of replay value. Sure there's not much since it just came out, but that doesn't mean it's a bad game like some people think. This game was obviously meant for fans of slasher horror flicks, so if you're not a fan of the horror genre, then this game is not for you. It is also an intense game, but once you get the feel of it, you're good to go.

This game has a long way to go. The graphics are good, but at the moment, like most games in it's genre, it's one sided. Killer is weak as can be, and too predictable. You completely rely on Survivors to either split up, making it possible to get some kills, or be in a group, in which case you might get one single kill if you're lucky before dying. At which point, the Survivors can gather a ton of scrap, save their fallen comrade, and usually finish at least one objective, of which there is about 3 -5. Insta-kill spots for killers are always easy to see, and require someone completely not paying attention to be used at all. And the use of Discord in this game? Seems completely pointless. Either you're telling the Killer what you'll be doing, or no one ever talks. As it stands, not seeing much of a point because there is no middle ground here, either 5 Survivors talk because half of them know each other, or it's a silent lobby, even when someone is being attacked by the Killer. $30, and as it stands, this should be a hard pass, unless they actually add more into the game, and change a lot around.

"Dead on Discord" - There's 26 players online. Should have been on steam, it would have done well.

this game isn't worth for $29. but yes , you can play as small game, not anymore just like app games. this game has neither big conntennts nor interesting background story. there are only a theree school maps getting quickly bored. only you can have fun because of multiplay that will be dead sooner or later. $8 is the rightful Price!
