I didn't play the game since it wasn't playable in the bundle but purely based on story I'd give this an 8/10 because it expands on Roxas and Xion's relationship as well as how they are both different versions of Sora, the storytelling was damn good and for that I'll give this an 8/10

This game introduced me to the KH series and it has an incredibly beautiful/inspiring story, I am very grateful that I was able to play this game. I was particularly impressed by the ending, Roxas vs Riku cinematic had amazing animation/graphic for a DS game, so good that you almost can't believe it.

Days is one of my favorite games of all time with a story that brings me to tears every time I replay it. It puts you right in the shoes of the character by making the gameplay feel like working a 9 to 5. The only bright spots being the cutscenes after each set of days allowing you to spend time with the central trio of characters. Whenever I think back on the game I know I had issues with the gameplay, but all I can remember is the characters and how much I grew to care for all of them.

This review may be based on nostalgia due to this being my first rpg game but there is such an unmistakable charm ti this game. When I rewatched the cutscenes I nearly cried. The combat is good but could be better yet the story and the charachters are immaculate a top 10 in my collection

Arcade RPG with very nice graphics but clumsy controls, a corny story and irritating music.

I don't care what you say I love this game. Roxas' story is so tragic. Xion and Axel are interesting and the game is so different. The depressing melancholy as you know that everything comes to an end because of kh2, it's just so beautiful.

30/100 358/2 Days is most definitely the worst entry in the Kingdom Hearts series thus far, with painfully repetitive gameplay due to an extremely lacking combat system with very little depth, enemies with decent variety but repetitive, dull attack patterns and some abysmally boring missions. There are a handful of interesting ideas like making Magic and Abilities acquisition more of a resource management matter, giving the gameplay a somewhat strategic feel, but even that is implemented in such a way that it often becomes more of a chore than anything else. The story is enveloped in a charmingly melancholic, somber mood that elevates the beautifully poignant emotional struggle of the main characters, but the drama is severely held back by the tragedy not hitting as hard as it could've due to the friendship uniting the main characters feeling somewhat forced and underdeveloped.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is a lousy game with just as lousy of a title. This handheld spin-off is an overlong, repetitive slog with an uninteresting story focused on the blandest and most obnoxious group of characters from the Kingdom Hearts series -- Organization XIII.

One of the best KH games and has the best story of all imo. Best game on the DS. Unfortunately Days is the last masterpiece of Kingdom Hearts, started to be way too complex and anime after 2010. Pros: -Amazing music and story -Great characters and insights into KH -Amazing build up story wise, deep emotion -Can play multiplayer with friends, unlock more characters (Only KH game that has that) -Very challenging and alot of content, spend 150 hours on 1 save, which connects to Multiplayer as well. -Very rewarding to do everything, endless keyblades/weapons with different names for each character. The best customization in the series to date. Cons: -May be too repeative at times but nothing like BbS and the games after that. -Story being great, the new games kinda ruined it, so Days story is not as amazing anymore if you're thinking canon. Personally i look at games after Days to be spin-offs, even KH3. -Camera angle can be hard to manage and invisible walls are quite prevalent -It is a DS game so gameplay wise it can be repeative and tedious, the leveling design and some missions are dreadful at times.

This is definetly my favorite game in the Kingdom Hearts franchise, with a few stipulations. Everything works for the story its trying to tell, one of mundanity and the friends we have that make the boring parts of life worth living. Because of that the game itself is.. kinda boring. But in an intentional way, its such an interesting idea to me, and while boring the game is still fun, it looks absolutely beautiful, and I would rate 11/10 if I could

A pretty good game, with some of the best graphics on the DS, with amazing controls and all sorts of worlds from classic Disney franchises. The story is a little all over the place though.

For me personally 358/2 days has one of the best "sidestories" in the franchise. Concentrating on the relationship of a few characters and giving more insight on them and what was happening in the background of the story was really cool. It focuses on completely different characters than in the numbered games and has a bit more "mature" story. The gameplay, though being repetitive, is still enjoyable and if you consider the story, it makes sense, why it's repetitive. It's like meant to be repetitive :-P. A And the graphics and music are really great for a Nintendo DS title.

Although the story is my favorite and is the best in this whole series, the repetitive gameplay and the horrible graphics just lose the experience. Now I know why Square Enix didn’t fully remaster this one.

The gameplay wasn't fun at all and have to much repetitive mission but as the story keep going on, I believe it have the most sad story for KH game and I love the story of this one.

The history Is the best wrote of all games, making characters so memorables and a realistic story of that make you feel so sad The gameplay is good considering the limitations of the DS and the HUD is well made

Its a unique game, different from the rest of KH and still very good, it has a darker tone, it makes you care and feel for the protagonist as the game builds up. it has a very nice gameplay and allows you to play with a lot of charaters after the ending of the game. i personaly enjoied every moment of it and will revisit it soon.

As a kingdom hearts game this game is an absolutely awful experience to play. Not only does this game have the worst level-up, inventory, magic and accessory management, the disney characters are not tied to the story or gameplay at all. Just watch the movie. You'll be fine.

The best of the handheld games, this game fills in the blanks between KHI and KHII that COM didn't cover. Too bad it turned out to be nothing. Xion, Axel and Roxas' story is very touching and makes you feel even harder for Roxas in KHII. Being able to see more into the plans of Organization XIII is also telling and allows for a more in depth experience of the second game. This is worth the play, just dont be surprised when you find yourself wishing it wasn't 358 days

It's not a bad game, for a DS standards it's very fun... But for the "Kingdom Hearts" series it's a pretty mediocre tittle. It's storytelling it's dull and uninspired, Tetsuya Nomura has great ideas for stories, but he's unable to tell those stories without stupid dialogue and Anime cliches. Although all this criticise, if we look at this game "objectively" it's good, it's job fine: It's fun, the story gives us some interesting details of Roxa´s life at the Organization XIII and the graphics are good for DS standards... But as a Kingdom Hearts lover I would have preferred a more complex game, not so damn repetitive and with less storytelling problems (Although nearly every Kingdom Hearts game has this last problem).

This game is my personal favorite entry of the Kingdom Hearts series, as well as one of my favorite Nintendo DS games. But I can personally see why so many people consider this the worst of the series. The story is very slow paced most of the time, the missions are repetitive, and the gameplay may seem a bit simplistic due to the limitations on the DS at the time. (Luckily Re:coded fixed this problem.) But when the story gets going, it gets going! This game features one of the absolute best stories the series has given us. Showing the emotional bond of Roxas, Axel, and new character Xion, as well as their growth as both characters and people throughout Roxas' days with Organization XIII leading up to the events of Kingdom Hearts 2. And while the gameplay may be repetitive and simplistic, it does have its perks. I like the panel system a lot and trying out different combinations and keyblades, the high dosages of nostalgia I get when visiting worlds from Beauty and the Beast and Nightmare Before Christmas that also help tie up to KH2, and some of the bosses such as the Antlion and Imperial Machine I did have a good amount of fun with. (Just don't be so excited about bosses like Leechgrave and Ruler of the Sky though.) But the real highlight of this game is the Mission Mode, where you get to play as all members of Organization XIII, plus Sora, Riku, Donald, Goofy, and Mickey (who is my main, btw). Playing through old missions with different characters with their own weapons and styles I massively enjoy, even if the missions are repetitive. I just like testing different characters and see which ones I'm most comfortable with for certain missions. Plus, multiplayer is always fun too. Overall, is this the best KH game ever? No. Is it the best DS game ever? No. But can the game be really fun at times? Yes. If you're looking for one of the best stories in KH history, (even if it's slow-paced) get this game now. But again, if slow-paced stories aren't your thing and you're just in to play as your favorite member of Organization XIII, this game will definitely be worth your time.

The best game ever I've ever seen, for Nintendo DS. Actually, story is extremely sad, but I still enjoyed the game. Graphics do not basically matter. The story, gameplay and combat is great. This game is fascinating, fantastic, it beats any Nintendo DS game. We all thank Square Enix for making such a wonderful game.

I did not like this game. I LOVE Kingdom Hearts 1, I even really like Kingdom Hearts II quite a bit but I did not care enough about Roxas to have an entire game about him. Of course, when I figured out this game WAS about him I was thoroughly disappointed and very much annoyed. I honestly didn't care about Roxas... at all much less enough to make a whole game about him. The controls were awkward and I just.... didn't care AT ALL about the story nor did I get a reason to throughout the game. It's just bleh. The graphics are up to par and so is the music but neither of those saving graces are good enough to make the game worthwhile...

Probably kingdom hearts 358/2 days is one of the best games made for the Nintendo DS. The plot is well done and moving, solid gameplay and really fun and great to be technically done for DS. The only flaw is that there is a wide variety of worlds but for the rest is done really well. Fans of the series will appreciate it very much.

If you know the KH story or have played other titles in the franchise, you will want to play or at least watch a play through of it. The story for 358/2 Days explains the events that occur between the first game and part 2. I gave it 2 of it;s points just for that. However, I did not give it many more because of the presentation of the story. It felt chopped up and crude. It was frustrating how you had your Kingdom Hearts story line, then the distracting Disney story lines that chopped it all up. The conversations were a little crude at times as well. It is a great game though for, really, anyone. Roxas' story is a sad, heart breaking, and also very romantic. All you need to get into this games story is to know a little about the first game. The controls were descent for a DS game, but I felt they where over stretching the limits a little. So to sum all that up, good for Disney fans, KH fans, and somewhat hard core gamers.

A technically impressive game but not the most fun. The game focuses on events before kingdom hearts 2 with you playing as Roxas. The story has some good points particularly near the end but overall it just didn't interest me that much. It was nice to develop the characters of organization XIII more but it just felt unnecessary and uninteresting. The combat is all well and good except the DS's lack of buttons means we get the terrible camera controls from KH 1. Also the difficulty spikes return as well and come literally out of nowhere. Also the game adds nothing new with the same locations as in kingdom hearts 2 and no new characters except Xion who confuses the plot even more than it already was.

The saddest part of the kh's story. Of course it's not even near the level of the ps2 titles and I expected a bit more from the graphics, but I still enjoyed it 'cause it's freaking kh.

Flaws: it's heavily combat-focused, and it gets really repetitive over the course of the 30 hour campaign; the story-telling isn't too stellar (poor pacing and not much feeling of the player advancing the plot); and the camera is really annoying, as you'd expect in most 3D DS games. The worst example of the last flaw came with one giant flying boss fight where the target continually moved, had lots of health, and really powerful attacks, which was all the more frustrating in that most magic attacks need perfect aiming, and when you attack with your Keyblade you stay in one spot, so the target's moved after the first hit. Good points: I actually got really into the story and these characters, even if they weren't the deepest or most complex out there. The only reason I persevered through the aforementioned annoying boss-fight was because I wanted to see how the story ended, and I'm glad I did. Also, while repetitive and frequently frustrating, the combat still had just enough satisfaction and fun to it to keep going. I also quite liked the panel system they implemented for switching between different weapons, magic attacks, items, and perks. The extra modes were quite interesting too, in which you can play through previous levels with one of over a dozen different characters, including other Organisation members, Donald, and Goofy. Overall, I found it good, but not great. It was interesting enough for me to see it through to the end, but you'll likely find it incredibly repetitive and more than a bit frustrating.

This installment of Kingdom Hearts was a unique experience. Granted, I've seen better, but this isn't that bad ****. Unique multiplayer characters, each with their own unique weapons and fighting styles, somewhat make-up for a rather slow story. The dialogue frequently makes you want to skip, but at the same time you will miss the story if you do.

This is a decent game. The gameplay is the same as kingdom hearts(More or less). The story is good. The voice acting, of whats there, is pretty good. Also, the boss fights offer a decent challenge some of the time. Graphically, this game is one of the best on the D.S. The slot system is interesting but can be a real pain. The multiplayer is somewhat fun but some of the characters you unlock are downright terrible. Still, 358/2 is a decent game.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is a remarkable experience you don't want to miss out on. If is very emotional and all the characters pull you in. The 3D worlds are an incredible feat for the DS to handle. It is quite impressive how Square Enix managed to scale down the PS2 worlds onto the DS. The gameplay is just like how it was. Real time fighting with an RPG menu on your side. Through out the game, you take out on missions to do certain tasks. The tasks range from defeating an enemy to investigating a world. You should get this masterpiece for your DS, it is really fun and it has an excellent story to back it up.
