Forever Skies stuns with its visuals, score, and storytelling—but its true magic lies in the freedom to build and pilot your own airship through a post-apocalyptic sky. It’s thrilling, thoughtful, and wrapped in a tight gameplay loop with real emotional weight. The launch had a few bumps, but with updates on the horizon, this game’s future is nothing but skyward.

Forever Skies is essentially a cozy survival game for anyone who values exploration and a dense atmosphere more than a tough and complex survival experience.

I love build and expanding the airship. And fun from extraction. The locations are a bit too drab at times, but that's the beauty of the generated world. A pleasantly different approach to survival games.

I have followed this game from before the original demo release and watched it evolve into a beautiful and engaging experience. I particularly love having a base of operations that i take with me on my explorations! A unique gaming experience!

A really satisfying survival game, focused more on fighting the environment than monsters. At times, it doesn't communicate with the player in the best way, but manages to draw you in front of the screen with more inventions and opportunities to expand your flying house.

Forever Skies takes you on a breathtaking journey above a ravaged Earth and down to its toxic surface. Its stunning visuals, paired with an excellent soundtrack, make for a captivating experience. Building your airborne base is both engaging and visually satisfying — and flying it is a real treat. Unfortunately, the story falls a bit flat, and the gameplay loop starts to feel repetitive too soon. The game could really benefit from more inventive mechanics and a greater variety of enemies. Still, it's an enjoyable title that just doesn’t quite live up to the full potential it clearly had.

Forever Skies offers a fun narrative survival adventure with a unique spin on how your home base operates. Sadly, its survival mechanics feel unnecessary and its combat is quite boring.

I really wanted to love Forever Skies and I’d hoped that it would recapture the magic I felt when playing Subnautica for the first time. The foibles that I’d been prepared to overlook during Early Access became disappointing features in the final release and to be honest, I walked away wishing that the developer had taken more time to polish the experience. It’s been working hard to squash bugs since release and has promised a content roadmap going forward, so by the time you read this some of the issues I’ve outlined may be addressed. All in all, I did actually enjoy my time with Forever Skies and I recommend checking it out if you like these kinds of games, just don’t do what I did – and temper your expectations going in.

The early hours spent getting to know your airship suggest Forever Skies might soar. Sadly, from there, it struggles to get off the ground. [Issue#411, p.104]

I won't give it a 10 since it still needs more love from devs, some things are a bit... icky. But I know they're still tinkering at the game and they're not done yet. I have seen this game grown from before EA release. Devs sure not let me down. They said themselves they were inspired by raft, by subnautica and some other games, but the end result is very much their own work. Yes it has small elements reminding you of other games, but everything has their Signature. It reminds you at most. I love how they created an unique environment with different views at different times.
No other game have those. While I don't like all creatures they introduced, they aren't a copy paste from any other game I played previously. A lot of work and thoughts went into this game, made by a relatively new development team.

I recently picked those game up as I was expecting subnautica in the clouds and I really needed a game like that. I really love the game and it's story. It makes you feel like you are alone, the last survivor while you are also uncovering what happened. A few hours in the game started feeling repetitive as the places you visit are, for the most part, procedurally generated. Once this repetition became a chore I decided to stick to the main story line and improve my 'base' doing so I found back my connection to the game. So yeah, I can really recommend this game with the following 2 things: improve your ship to go faster asap and stick mostly to the main story

This game is a borderline scam. Performance is atrocious on a PC with above recommended sceps, co-op is unstable and causes insane amount of lag for clients. Procedurally generated world is empty, boring to explore and filled with bland copy-pasted locations. Despite leaving Early Access 17 months ago game is still under development and receives updates that drastically change the core gamelpay loop. Writing is on the level of 5th grade, story has more holes than a mosquito net and so cliché it got my eyes rolling into my skull. Considering that devs claim they were inspired by Raft and Subnautica they should feel ashamed as they never understood what made those games click.

Brings nothing new to the table as a survival crafting game, has a lot of bugs and unstable performance. Story is shallow and doesn't create any engagement or tension.
