It's a genuinely peaceful and relaxing experience, with a wonderfully becalmed atmosphere, subdued beauty, and an earnest, innocent attitude - all of them rare properties in games.
Essentially, you’re getting a lot more game for your money with Endless Ocean 2; it’s less free-form and meandering than the original, with greater purpose and direction. Whether that’s what you want from a diving game is up to you, although truth be told there’s few other alternatives.
With a greater emphasis on structured gameplay elements, and the continued freedom to go off and explore to your heart's content, Arika has ensured that Endless Ocean 2 is a much more rounded experience without ever compromising its unique qualities.

Endless Ocean: Blue World (most I think would call it Endless Ocean 2) is definitely a step above its predecessor in every aspect. The world is incredibly fleshed out with fun, but solely optional objectives (referring to the marine life catalogue, coins, scavenge targets, and side quests outside the main story) that gives you as much satisfaction as you want. This game contains a surprisingly complex and captivating plot in addition to its already expansive worlds, and without spoiling too much, it is certainly worth exploring everything the game has to offer beyond just the main story and open-world elements. The only reason I rate this game a nine out of ten is due to the nature of the endgame (both for reopening and aquarium) for avid fans. Although they are meant to be monumental tasks to tackle, this game really does not stand when you have objective-driven grinding that may continue for tens of hours. This game is still fantastic, every part of it is fascinating and is a joy to dive into.

Favorite game of all time and after Endless Ocean Luminous was such a monumental disappointment, it only makes me look back on this game even more fondly knowing that even its own creators could never dream of topping it.

Blue World is a great sequel: There's lots more to see and do, with refinements all around, from graphics to gameplay.

As a self-proclaimed non-game, Endless Ocean: Blue World is a charming diversion and comes recommended to anyone looking for something unlike anything else out there.

Endless Ocean 2: Adventures of the Deep offers a unique and rather original game experience. Pity, though, it is way too similar to its predecessor.

I appreciate what the game does and how well the game does it, but the overarching concept just never resonated with me with the same impact it had on other reviewers.

I know this game isn't for everybody, but it's a guilty pleasure for me. It's weird that I like it so much since it's barely even a game. It's missing two key game components: a challenge and a way to lose. It's just a fun and relaxing experience that captures the wonder of scuba diving without the tension of "I'm gonna die down here!" I'd say I don't recommend it if you're a hardcore gamer, but then again I consider myself to be a hardcore gamer. It's strange how many hardcore gamers like this game. So I'll say this. What's your favorite part of Skyrim? If you'd say the exploration like I would, this game is for you.
