C-12: Final Resistance

It stacks up well against the graphics of something like "Syphon Filter," which is what it ought to be compared to. [August 2002, p.20]
It's very fulfilling and a challenge. The graphics are very good, and the music sets a appropriate mood. If not for some camera issues and a bit of "unfair" attacks here and there, I'd rate it higher.
It can be really fun when the wonky camera and the troublesome lock-on control don’t get in the way, but once the ride’s over there’s no incentive to go back (i.e. no multiplayer mode).

Graphics are well made, maybe sometimes excessive as regards effects. The camera management is often annoying. The GUI reminds me of Syphon Philter and Metal Gear Solid. Sounds are decent, many ambient parts, rare soundtrack parts. I guess it's the best part of the game. Gameplay is confusing and controls are un-editable. Targeting enemies is a pain: can't switch to an enemy to the other, as only one button is used to auto-target enemies, but it as a decent 1st person mode. Unless this game impresses you for a specific reason, you won't play it more than once. The game difficulty rapidly increases during the last levels, making it a bit frustrating to play without cheats, while the first part is fair as regards difficulty. In short: a sci-fi mission-based shooter that adds nothing new and tastes like a sort between : One, Apocalypse, Syphon Filter and (just for the GUI) Metal Gear Solid. You won't lose anything new by not playing this game.

A great game, especially for it's time. It has wonderful atmosphere. The feel of despair gets you as you walk through ruins of Earth's cities. Honestly it is second only to the Terminator. You feel the same eternal darkness, the same despair of human resistance. Also the aliens were pretty unique. This game is very good, but it's shame it was underestimated big time. Needs a sequel or a remaster.

If a Playstation is all you have and three Syphon Filters just isn't enought, then C-12 is worthy of your attention. [August 2002, p.86]

It's just not that fun and the camera ruins much of what could be fun. I was repeatedly frustrated trying to kill lame enemies while looking at stale, last-generation graphics.

Don't let the staggeringly dull, generic name fool you: C-12 has mood, challenge and even something of a personality, but with the dated gameplay and visuals, it just takes some time to see it...perhaps longer than many gamers will be willing to wait.

It's hard to call a game good when it features such shoddy controls and camera positioning. [July 2002, p.102]

If you've got a real "post-apocalyptic-fight-the-aliens-and-robots" itch to scratch, then you might get a kick out of this one. Anyone else will become bored far too quickly to bother.

It was pretty boring, and mediocre. It wasn't bad, but it was not good in anyway. The weapons are cool, but thats about it.
