Os cenários são muito bem elaborados, rico em detalhes e muitos objetos, que para a época de lançamento era absurdo, são interativos e bem detalhado. A trilha sonora é o ápice. A qualidade na versão de PC está muito melhor. A jogabilidade é simples e fluida. A iluminação dos cenários, as transições, efeitos sonoros tudo é impecável. Acho que o único erro foi em insistir em contar a história por quadrinhos, mesmo as cutscenes já existindo nesse jogo e com uma qualidade muito boa e não ter dedicado mais tempo de jogatina com a Mona.

Max Payne 2 was a great game when it came out and it still great now. I played it a year ago and I expected worse. Much worse. It's the oldest game I officially got.
The worst for me is:
- Hard to understand were you should go in game, or what you should do
- Easy to die, hard to spot some enemies. But what is the point of game if you know where every enemy is?
So it's still worth of playing

Frankly, Max Payne 2 makes me confident that the best is yet to come for gaming, that the awesome narrative and creative capability of this medium has yet to be explored to its fullest extent.

The visuals are excellent, the voice work is superior to what we usually get dealt in the action genre, and I only wish the game was a bit longer. A lot longer actually, but it's more because this kind of game is such a rare find than because that find is relatively meager.

It’s a game that fatigues quickly. There’s nothing wrong with the gameplay, per se; it just feels a little bit empty. Try playing through the game without using the bullet time feature, and you’ll see how bland it really is.

Its ragdoll physics may not match the flying limbs and broken faces of Soldier of Fortune, but its throwaway approach to life and death is genuinely shocking, leaving a bitter, metallic aftertaste. The physics system is a great way to enhance the gameplay, but everything rest given by Remedy and Sam Lake's Max Payne 2 is nothing revolutionary. Personally I didn't like the new distorsion of the story, but still a great story.

Если бы не товарищ, который подстёгивал проходить дальше, игра была бы дропнута на первом часу. Резкая смена тона, существование Пэйна не в вакууме и его взаимодействия не только через ствол забрало у меня ощущение, которое давала первая часть. Не оценил ни обновленного героя, ни его одержимость мадамой, ни уровни. Геймплей вроде остался тот же, но без остальных составляющих для меня не работает. P.S. Друг после того, как увидел ещё раз игру и как я ее прошел, поменял мнение и не понял чем она ему так понравилось.
