A good demo, and a spiritual successor to Little Nightmares but at 4 hours long, the $40 price tag is an insult and evidence of pure greed, especially when they plan to monetize some short dlc’s in short order. Wait for a deep sale.

Ghost of Yotei2

I loved the first game while it wasn’t perfect. It had a good story, and the world was beautiful and something new. Yotei had a terrible plot, and keeps all the negative ****, cookie cutter ubisoft open world. SO BORING. I was hoping for much more.

Absolutely fantastic, in every single way. Combat, story, music, art direction. It’s the first turn based game I have ever enjoyed and finished. Mature story and characters. Do yourself and the entire gaming community a favor and play and celebrate this game.

DREDGE5

Dredge has plenty of potential but it’s bogged down by slow, repetitive and uninspiring gameplay. The art style, music/sound and atmosphere are all top notch. Unfortunately though, the gameplay is utterly simple and 90% of the content is filler consisting of busy work, mostly holding down W for hours and simple skill checks. This wouldn’t be bad if you didn’t have to repeat it non-stop for 10+ hours. The game should move faster and last about 4 hours. Your IQ will go down a notch if you get to compete this game.

BMW looks impressive and has lots of potential. However, it falls short of its promise with clunky, laggy gameplay, uninspired basic enemy design and levels that although pretty look all same-y and AI generated. The bosses are really cool but will cheese you at any occasion. Basic enemies are weak and uninteresting. There is next to no exploration. I am sympathetic to the support given, especially since the game was targeted for political reasons, but it is simply overrated. I hope they will improve it over time.

Lies of P5

A decent game but certainly overrated. Most of the difficulty comes in the form of delayed attacks and enemies health. The art direction is pretty decent but it's nothing like Bloodborne nor Dark souls 3 -- it's much more bland and the environments are more empty and bland.

Lords of the Fallen7

This game had so much potential. The artstyle and the controls are actually good. However the game design is abysmal. Most of the difficulty arises from fighting in tight spaces, platforming (in a game where platforming is at its weakest) and being overwhelmed by enemies with bad AI and uninspired combat. Rarely the game throws a fair challenge at you, putting you against a foe with a well designed moveset. Instead, they will just try to screw you over. Seriously, the game designers should be fired while the artists and developers should be put in charge cause they did a great job instead.

The is actually a very good survival horror game! There is lots of attention to detail and it's high quality. The art style, direction and puzzles are top notch. The dialogue is good and the notes are narrated and actually interesting and unique. The gunplay is decent though not comparable to the best games in the genre. All in all this is a pretty good entry and got somewhat unfavorable reviews.

SOTC's atmosphere is great and its art-style is inspiring. However, the gameplay is mediocre and the controls are plain bad. It has a lot of potential, a 10/10 on some elements and 4/10 on some others. It's a bit overrated because some people are willing to forgive its abysmal controls.

This is an incredible open world game. It's the most beautiful one I have seen and exploring the world is a real treat. I am actually not that into open world game, but this one takes the cake. It's not flawless, but the visuals, world and combat are really good and it deserves much praise. Importantly, it is possible to follow the main story (Jin's tales) and there is no grind whatsoever. This game blows AC out of the water. I am enjoying it more than I did RDR2, although the story the writing isn't as strong. Support this game! It's not getting enough recognition.

I was a bit nervous given all the controversy and drama surrounding the game. I really liked the original title, and was looking forward to this one. Well, it is amazing. It's not a flawless game, but no game is and this is definitely one of the best games ever made. I cannot believe that so many are review bombing this. They have not even played the game. Grow up. It's pathetic.

It's a very good game with some serious issues. Respwan times are ridiculous (a minute) for a game that is suppoosed to be punishing and where you will die a lot. There is no fast travel and later missions becomes really tedious. It has some glitches and performance is not great but that did not bother me much. If they fixed the first two issues I mentioned it would easily be a 9/10.

Death Stranding7

It's refreshingly different, and very well done in several aspects. Surely, it's more of a relaxing kind of gameplay and there are incredible moments here and there. It offers a level of story telling and acting that is unparalleled in the gaming world. The game play is fun, it's just limited and it should have been a shorter game! Some of the criticism going around is valid and Kojima as well as other creatives should pay attention to the negative feedback. It surely could have been great with more varied gameplay but one has to consider that this was a real project for a new studio to pull off in such a short amount of time. What it offers though is top notch and cannot be found elsewhere which is very valuable! Hopefully future projects could improve on this incredible foundation. Still a 10/10 overall especially considering how badly it is getting review bombed.

GRIS10

Gris is a masterpiece. The artstyle and music are unmatched and something we need more of. The game is all about exploration, light platforming and puzzles. These are light and simple yet well designed and never boring. The pacing and flow is good. Personally, I wish they could evolve the game to include more challenging, fast, fluid platforming as well as possibly combat, just like Hollow Knight does. However, if the developers prefer to keep to this more relaxing type of gameplay, I would still love it cause everything it does, it does it to perfection. Highly recommended. Please support such amazing talent that can push forward and bring something new and needed to gaming.

Very unbalanced game (until June 2017 survivors were OP and then killers became OP) and full of bugs. Devs prioritize monetization and cosmetics only and fixes are superficial and often detrimental to the game. Avoid at all costs.

The Way Remastered2
Jun 21, 2019
In my eyes, this game had potential. The setting is interesting and intriguing for scifi fans. However the gameplay is abysmal. It is a puzzle platformer. The puzzles are easy but that would not be a big deal if the platforming was fluid and well done. Sadly, the controls are utter garbage and will literally miss your input, generally lag and even do the opposite of what you want sometimes (this happens when climbing walls). Do not waster your time. You might get invested like I did to eventually have to give up and throw it out the window (I wish I could literally do that).

This is surely a great game and remake. However, it is a bit short. Yes, there is a 2nd run but the locations are the same and while there are variations, they are too similar. Again, it is a great remake but as a standalone game it falls short of content. The graphics are great, gameplay is fun, the story is okay. I wish it was a new game altogether with 12-16 hours of well curated linear gameplay (instead of 6-8 it offers right now for the 1st run) because all the elements to be a 10/10 are there.

RDR2 is a flawed masterpiece. Its epic story, narration and its vast, beautiful open world are phenomenal. Aside from some writing that feels cliche, these elements are the best that modern gaming has to offer. However, it is quite baffling to see how bad the gameplay is. The controls are clunky and the AI is rather idiotic. It is a dreadful shooter and yet you will be shooting around for about one third of your playtime! Overall, I still love the game because of the narration and how beautiful it is. However, it is IMPORTANT to criticize it as well, and hope to see games that will perfect the formula. To put things into perspective, take God of War. That game has excellent gameplay, narration and visuals. There, you can see they were able to scale it up sustainably and refine the game to perfection. The story is wonderfully told, the pacing is never off and the gameplay is just fantastic! Yes, RDR2 has a more realistic, epic story and a vast open world -- all things that I like -- but it has not been refined as much. Heck, in some ways it is really rough. The only thing that kept me going was the story, the world, the characters.

I regret buying the game. They clearly put much work and resources into making this, however they delivered poorly. The story is over the top and the gameplay rather unsatisfying. There is a lot of nonsense and the playing is bland and unrewarding with clunky controls. Performance is also rather bad as others pointed out.

I am astonished but how badly this game was covered. It is a really good game and better than most. It's very high quality, with incredible visuals and story, almost up to par with something like God of War (2018). Yes, it is shorter than something like GOW and the gameplay is not on par but it is still pretty decent. This title surely deserves more than a 6 or 7 out of 10. It surely is a 8/10 and beats many other games which received way more positive coverage.

Rather overrated game. Sure, it's a remake and that's fine but it cannot score similar to, say, Hollow Knight. Cons: combat is pretty lackluster, especially boss fights; controls are laggy and jumping has lots of inertia and ****; visuals are okey -- not great like some make you believe -- and the showing the damage every time anybody gets hit sticks out like a sore thumb Pros: the story and its delivery are actually good

A fantastic game in all aspects. A masterpiece. An art statement! This game has so much to offer: beautiful art-style and visuals; satisfying, tight controls; challenging yet fun combat and mechanics; fantastic, interesting bosses; an incredible soundtrack (check it out online!); a vast world with incredibly deep lore; numerous, and I mean really numerous different enemies; fantastic humor. It is clear that Team Cherry was able to focus on aesthetics beyond just gameplay and created something really special to be celebrated for years to come. Although it has sold decently and it is now picking more momentum with the Switch release, it is still rather underrated and deserves more publicity and recognition. I rate it above some awesome (if different) games I played in the last year like Zelda BOTW, Super Mario Odyssey, Cuphead, Axiom Verge. Only God of War satisfied me as much, if in different ways. Do yourself, Team Cherry and the future of gaming a favor: buy this game and spread the word!
