If you hate the Last Jedi as much as I do, go see this movie. This was a big middle finger to Rian Johnson and his trash film that derailed the trilogy. Was SW9 a great film? No. There was some really dumb stuff in it. Was the story a hot mess? Yes, but it had to be if it was going to fix the Last Jedi and still give character arcs for everyone. Rey actually has a character arc and no longer a Mary Sue. Ghost Luke acts like a master Jedi instead of a bum. Poe is respected and has some of the funniest moments (yes, this movie actually has jokes that land), Finn is not a goofball character. Our three main heroes actually bond and you can feel their friendship. C3P0 and R2D2 are in this movie a lot, which was missing in the first two. The dumb plot points from the leaks are true, but our characters are saved. Go see this movie.

Wow! I was sick of X Men movies, but Logan makes me want more! If this film and Deadpool are the new direction for mutant comic book movies, then 20th Century Fox is doing everything DC wishes they could do, which is create a cinematic universe that has it's own style and dedicated audience. We already got family friendly super hero movies perfected by Marvel Studios, so don't try to copy their formula. Do your own thing that attracts a different demographic.

Very cool idea for a monster. Went into this movie not knowing anything about it, and I was pleasantly surprised when it wasted no time hitting me with the suspenseful horror. Very eerie! I would say that my only complaint was the poor acting and uninteresting characters. However, the story and monster kept my intrigue. Also, there were some funny moments slipped in. Not sure if they were intentional, but a little bit of humor in a horror film is always appreciated.

I didn't expect to like this movie, but I saw this the night after I watch the new Ghostbusters... and man did this movie feel like a masterpiece in comparison. The two ladies in this film were funny, and Adam DeVine kills it! Surprisingly Zach Efron was the least fun. There were plenty of dumb parts in the film, but overall it was enjoyable.

You could tell the whole cast knew this movie was garbage, because their performances were so flat and uninspired. Everything was over-the-top silly, and it felt like there were no written jokes for this film. So boring throughout the film. I wanted to give this movie the benefit of the doubt, but in all honesty is deserves its really poor reviews.

This movie is overrated by the critics. I do appreciate a horror movie done well, which this movie was. However, I left unsatisfied, mostly because there was no resolution between the witch and the family. It was mostly internal fighting among the family when the witch turns their world upside down. That wasn't interesting to me. I wanted the family to get revenge on the witch... not "this" ending.

Never a dull moment. The Martian has a great blend of tension and humor, and if you're a science geek, this movie will be a treat. Every problem encountered is solved through logic and reasoning. I would say the only problem I had with the film were in those moments the movie was trying to hard to be funny. Several of the jokes felt forced, which made them fall flat and even awkward at times. Other than that, this movie is one of the year's best so far.

Simply put, this movie is fun! It's definitely a change of tone from the typical Marvel movie, which actually works to its benefit. Our hero is not some super ultimate being that's able to destroy anything with sheer strength or firepower, rather he's an average Joe with a great talent for breaking into secure places who comes across a rather unique suit. I found myself constantly smiling throughout the movie. Not only are the side characters hilarious with their shenanigans or propensity for drawn out anecdotes, but the action sequences themselves have a lot of humor to them. The visuals are amazing, and the use of the ants themselves were creative and fun. The concept of a superhero controlling ants could have turned into something really stupid, but Marvel in all their genius pulled it off perfectly. I was cheering for ants! Can't believe it... Unfortunately, my major problem with the film was the villain. I don't know if it was the actor who played him way over the top, or if it was written way over the top. Every scene with him made me feel uncomfortable. So much so that it made me lower my score on a film that should be higher. Also, the final fight with the boss felt like it borrowed from the first Iron Man movie. Our hero in his new super suit fights an evil corporate guy with his better equipped super suit. Definitely done more creatively, but I did notice.

This movie is not as groundbreaking as all the reviewers will have you believe. It's a great movie without a doubt, but there were some aspects of the film I didn't like that made me lower my score. First off, the world Miller created is amazing. Everyone and everything is crazy in true Mad Max fashion. This leads to having great visuals and action scenes throughout the entire film. However, there was almost too much action in the film, that by the end the finale just wasn't that impactful. The action itself is amazing. It didn't feel choreographed at all. It had a very spontaneous feel to it, which made it seem real and authentic. You know, the way action should be! I'm tired of watching computer game action sequences in films today. So this was a much needed breath of fresh air. Second, I hate movies in which I can't understand dialogue anymore. Actors are instructed to talk crazy to give characters more depth. Ok, I understand that, but it's so bad that I can't understand half the things being said. Luckily, the female characters (who are not crazy) I can understand clearly. All the male crazy characters have weird accents, machines over their faces to distort their words, or are just flat out yelling. Yes, the world is crazy in a beautfiul way... but I would like to know what they are saying while doing crazy things. I'll put on subtitles next time I watch this film. Finally, my biggest beef with the movie is the Mad Max character himself. I know the main complaint some might have is that he wasn't the main character in the film. I'm not bothered by that at all. My problem is that he doesn't feel like the same character I loved in the original films. The whole charm of the original Mad Max films for me is that Max himself was a calm, cool, collected badass in a world gone crazy. Max is suppose to be above it all, however in this film he's portayed as someone who's pretty much as crazy as everyone else. He's no longer calm and collected, but not he's screaming, paranoid, frantic, and haunted by his family's death... His family's death in the first film didn't consume him several years later when looking at Road Warrior or Thunderdome. Did anyone else feel like this Max character wasn't really the Max we've seen in the prior three films? It didn't to me, and it was bugging me the whole film.

I really enjoyed this movie! Not as amazing as the first Avengers film, but it did come close. There were a few things that really bugged me that prevented this movie from being a 10. Warning: SPOILERS I didn’t like how they threw us into a huge action sequence. We didn’t even know who they were fighting until several minutes into the scene. That’s a terrible setup. Very over the top. However, after that sequence with the Hydra base, everything became very very good! I loved Joss Whedon's dialogue scenes between the many characters. I especially loved the part when Thor got worried that Captain America would lift his hammer… then sighed with relief and smiled trying to hide his fear. I also loved the story of how Tony Stark created Ultron to help them defend Earth, which totally backfired. It made total sense given the events in the past films. Another thing that bugged me was how Black Widow all of a sudden was in love with Bruce Banner. Where the heck did that come from? She had her moments with Hawkeye in the first Avengers, and then with Captain America in the Winter Soldier film… but now she loves the Hulk? I guess they can’t figure out a real story for the Hulk, so this gives him something to do. Also, I didn’t like how the bad guys made the Hulk go crazy again, so the Avengers had to subdue him again. Total copout as it’s identical to what happened in the first movie. Although, that Iron Man vs. Hulk fight was epic! I also didn’t like how this film really didn’t push any of the Thanos storyline forward. It was more of a story about how the Avengers almost doomed themselves, which is a good story in itself, but not for continuing the overall series. So when Thanos shows up in the credits and says, “Looks like I have to take care of things myself.” That implies that Ultron not being able to destroy Earth was of his doing… which made no sense. Anyways, this totally explains why the Infinity War story is going to be broken into two films… because Thanos really hasn’t been hands on at all so far. I think they did an awesome job with balancing the characters in this movie, while still giving Hawkeye a big piece in the film. I LOVED THAT! I also think they did a great job introducing a ton of new characters (Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and Vision), even if their abilities are supernatural, they did a great job without making their abilities feel too cartoony. I was always afraid that when they got to these more mystical characters, that it would ruin a universe that’s been mostly grounded on reality. When Iron Man, Thor and Vision were blasting Ultron all at once… Vision felt like he fit right in. Dope!

I'll admit that the beginning was a little bit chaotic story telling wise, but as the film progresses it gets better and better, and you end up leaving the theater in a good mood. Everyone I've talked to who's seen this movie have all agreed this movie was enjoyable. Not a single person has told me it was bad. If you got kids, they're sure to love this movie.

Slow at times, but the scary parts really do pay off. This film has a very simple concept when it comes to the monster, however it really does a great job in building the tension. This film takes a lot of elements from A Nightmare on Elm Street. For example, you'll see a female lead struggling to sleep through fear, you'll see skin bruises caused by an invisible monster, you'll see a group of teenagers dealing with the monster, while none of the parents appear to be involved, also they take a scene straight out of the movie when the female lead tries to call her friend (who happens to look a little like Johnny Depp) across the street through her bedroom window at nighttime to warn him about the monster before he dies in his bedroom... There are still a ton of original ideas in this film, but this just stood out while I watched the film. Really good film, but I wouldn't consider it a masterpiece. Still way better than all the other crap horror films that come out annually.

You know there's something terribly wrong when the most memorable part of the movie is the sequence after the climactic finale... yes, I'm talking about a baby dancing Groot. There was nothing about this movie that really drew me in, and it's because the character stories were rushed so fast that you didn't get a chance to feel anything for them. We get to see each character for a few minutes before their paths collide. So when the characters only know each other for a few days, we're expected to believe they've bonded to the point where they'll die for each other? This movie should have been an animated film for kids in my opinion. The dumbed down dialogue sure fit. I really wish they focused the story on Peter Quill, instead he felt like a side character. That's probably because we have five heroes, four villains, and tons of side characters: Yondu and his crew, the Collector and his slave, Nova Prime and the entire Nova Corps. So many pointless characters could have been cut from this film, and the necessary time could have been given to develop Quill's story. This would have improved the movie dramatically. Don't get me wrong... all the characters in this movie do look really interesting, however, you can't squeeze all their stories in a 2 hour film, otherwise it's a mess. The directing was great, the overall story was good, the action and special effects were superb, but the characters are so shallow... the core flaw with this movie is the numerous characters that shouldn't be in a film that's introducing the casual viewer to a completely new universe. Keep it simple. This is not the Avengers, where each super hero already had their own individual films that established their character's background.

Not as consistently funny as the original, but definitely had the biggest laughs of the two. Channing Tatum and Ice Cube steal the show, while Jonah Hill comes off as less memorable. Not only is this movie hilarious, but it's also clever with its character dynamics between Tatum and Hill. They are so different in every way, but their bond make them inseparable. This is put on display perfectly when we meet their dorm room neighbor twins, but it's what makes them so lovable. Watching them share screen time together is a treat for everyone. I enjoyed this movie just as much as the first, and I recommend this movie to anyone that isn't offended by foul language and sexual jokes.

This is a very good film, but for me it lost the charm of the original. Typically, sequels to an animated movie end up being trash, but this film doesn't follow that trend. As a sequel, it has more dragons that are very interesting and cool looking. The action, graphics and overall story in the film are great as well! I'm very happy with the progress of the main characters, and it really sets up the 3rd film well. Where I was turned off, was the constant need to force Toothless into doing cute actions. In the first film, Toothless had a genuine cuteness to him, but in the sequel it was overdone and quite frankly became distracting. For example, there would be some important dialogue between characters, and then Toothless would be doing something in the background... I guess they put this is for the kiddies who could care less about what's going on in the story, but as an adult, I care about the characters and the challenges they're trying to overcome... but I couldn't focus on what they were saying with how distracting Toothless became during those scenes. Also, I really liked the rag-tag bunch of Hiccups friends in the first film. They were a ton of fun, but in the sequel, they didn't have the same impact. Astrid as Hiccups girlfriend is boring, and Snotlout, Fishlegs, Tuffnut were not really funny. Ruffnut was definitely the best of the group, but her "joke" quickly ran its course, when they used it over and over again. Other than the many distractions from Toothless and the lack of fun from Hiccup's group of friends, this movie was a fantastic sequel. I will recommend it to all families and feel like it's a great challenger to Lego Movie for best animated film of the year.

This is a very solid movie. At one point, I was debating on giving it a 9. After many disappointing films this year, I would say this is easily the second best film of the year behind Captain America: Winter Soldier. The only reason this film doesn't get a perfect 10 is because some of the acting from the soldiers were poor, and the beginning and ending made no sense to me. Other than that, everything is top-notch! I loved how the movie was directed and written. I had to keep on guessing on when Tom Cruise's character was experiencing a scene for the first or the 100th time. Also, there was good humor in the film that had great timing and placed well in the story. I also really liked the design of the alien race. Those are some scary cool looking creatures that I would never want to meet. I would say that this film was on par with Minority Report, if you want to compare it with other Tom Cruise action films. *BEGIN SPOILERS* Just because I want to mention the things that make no sense. The beginning. I don't clearly understand the general's motivations on sending Tom Cruise to the front lines of the war. Tom Cruise is pretty much the media spoke's person for the military, in which they're promoting their new infantry battle suits. At the beginning, you see Cruise's character getting interviewed and leading ads to say that anyone could wear one and pretty much kill tons of alien bad guys. Ok, so the general wants to send every abled body at the alien race, and he knows there's going to be a ton of casualties, which he will most likely be blamed for... so his plan is to order Tom Cruise to lead the charge, who has no combat experience. By doing this, Cruise will be blamed for the battle? That's doesn't make sense. If the general wants to make Cruise the bad guy, don't make him a martyr. He's already the poster child for the military. If he convinces millions to volunteer and fight the alien race through the media, then he's already going to be the first that's scrutinized... it is he who's saying the human race is unbeatable with his infantry suits. Next, if Cruise is so famous, how come no one recognizes him at the military base where they're prepping for the battle? The general ships him off to this base with his identity removed and a new rank of private. So naturally when Cruise explains to everyone there's been a mistake on who he is, no one believes him? Everyone and their mom's should recognize him... has the whole military been living under a rock? Do they not have TV or internet at military bases in the future? Anyways, once this confusing beginning is used to explain how Tom Cruise gets into this bad situation, the meat of the movie begins. From here on out, everything is fantastic! Cruise gets killed during the battle, but not before soaking in some alien blood that lets him reset to the day before the battle in which he dies. I was ready to give this film a 9 until the last 10 minutes happened. The film makers refused to let Cruise die at the end when finally defeating the main creature that's controlling the whole alien race. Basically, Cruise loses his ability to reset at one point, so at that point his choices become more crucial when it comes to surviving. This was great, because we needed to increase the stakes for our hero. Otherwise, the audience wouldn't care if he dies again. At the end, he blows up the main alien, but dies in the process. But as he's dieing, he soaks in some more alien blood to reset the day again... OK... so he wakes up prior to the battle ever happening (which is before he blows up the main alien) and everyone is celebrating that they killed the main creature which controls all the aliens. Uhhh... this makes absolutely no sense. If he reset to before he blew up the main alien, shouldn't he have to do it again? I guess they couldn't make this movie 3 hours long. Anyways, they shoehorn a happy ending in so Cruise lives rather than being an actual martyr... so he gets the girl at the end, which is suppose to be cute, because it was like they never met, based on the time he reset to one last time. Thank you Hollywood! *END SPOILERS* Note: Did anyone else get annoyed by watching Emily Blunt do a seductive upward-dog yoga pose 4 times? It's like they wanted to take the most awkward shot in the whole film, and torture the audience with it over and over again.

May 27, 2014
Damn. This was disappointing. Lets just start off by saying this is a good movie, but not the fantastic film that I was led to believe by all the positive reviews. There are things that I loved, things that I hated, and things I found mind-boggling. Things that I loved: 1) The introduction and huge importance of the Sentinels. It's about time one of the films introduce the Sentinels, which play a big role in the overall story of the X-Men. I also like the depiction of these mutant hunters. It did a great job presenting a huge threat to X-Men and all mutants in the universe. 2) The concept of time travel. I like the idea of time travel in movies, and it always interests me how each story takes the idea in a different direction. In this version, it's your consciousness that inhabits your original body in the past, and not your whole being. Great idea! 3) Quicksilver. This guy's ability and attitude fit the film perfectly! Professor X and Magneto have such a serious demeanor, and he brought some good comic relief. He also had the best sequence in the whole film. 4) The action sequences were very well done and entertaining... but this leads into... Things that I hated: 5) There are way too many action sequences. Too much **** thing is a bad thing. You have to balance out the action with the character stories, other wise you as a viewer end up not caring about what's happening. 6) Mystique's character. Wow! I usually think Jennifer Lawrence does an amazing acting job, but her character was written so one dimensionally... No one could have played this character and made her interesting. She might have said the same speech 3 times in the film. Yawn. 7) Magneto's character. I LOVED Michael Fassbender's Magneto in First Class, because he had great depth. It's the complete opposite in this film. I have no idea what his motivations are in this film. They spent so much time on Professor X's character, that we got very little out of Magneto beyond him just doing bad things. 8) *SPOILER* Everything that happened in the original trilogy has become pointless!!! Remember all the pain and suffering us fans went through when each X-Men made huge sacrificed for the greater good of humanity? Well I guess non of it matters anymore, because as a result of the ending everything has been null and voided. Why Hollywood, Why?! *END SPOILER* 9) The 3D is ugly. Ok, this is not a knock on the film per se, but there were so many sequences where the background looked completely fake. Honestly, I couldn't tell you if it was the film's bad use of green screen, or the terrible use of 3D to create depth in the background. It was a big distraction for me. Things I found mind boggling: 10) Professor X's magical medicine. Why does taking a drug that reduces your mutant ability also negate your inability to walk after having a bullet hit your spine and paralyze you? What purpose did having Professor X walking around in this film serve other than the convenience of placing him in the same scenarios as the other characters. Thinking back... was there any scene in this film they couldn't shoot with him in a wheel chair? He does end up in a wheel chair anyways. He was taking the drug in the beginning the get the voices out of his head... he never said walking was important to him. Whatever... 11) Magneto's ability extends past metal bending. I'm not an engineer, and I'm assuming that Magneto isn't either, yet Magneto is able to weave metal through the interiors of the first models of the Sentinels to control them. Huh?! How does Magneto magically know the circuitry within the Sentinels without dismantling them first? This felt really dumb to me... but I guess it gave the audience a good chance to see how Magneto can make metal do whatever he wants. 12) The future. Terminator 2 anyone? I'm sorry, but this future was very unbelievable to me. The human vs. mutant war desolated the whole Earth?! I didn't see a war... I just saw innocent mutant being hunted down like dogs by the Sentinels. Where was the backlash from the mutant population that destroyed the planet? I didn't see that... so we have to assume that humans killing off the mutant population with this Sentinels caused their planet to become unlivable. Well that's dumb, because the humans just screwed themselves, because they have to live on the planet too. Also, where are these Sentinels coming from? Must be from some sort of factory, because the humans (which we never see), are pumping these things out by the hundreds. There has to be a place that's not destroyed, where the humans are living in a better place than what we're able to see. It would be nice to have a face behind all of this... the Sentinels are not controlling and producing themselves... right? Don't get me wrong... I did say quite a few negative things about the film, but this is still a good movie to watch. Just make sure to turn off your brain.…

The over-the-top soundtrack while people were simply walking around took me right out of the film. It's alright... I can see why fans of the original Godzilla would love this movie. I'm just not a Godzilla fan to begin with. I just wish humans had a bigger role in this film to save themselves. At least it wasn't terrible... also, I didn't realize that Godzilla likes to constantly take naps. He wakes up from the sea, fights, sleeps, fights some more, takes another nap, wins the last battle, and then goes back into the ocean to sleep until another giant monster appears.

Did I watch the same movie as everyone else? I'm sorry, but I can't laugh at scenes that make no sense. I'm too busy questioning the actions of these characters to care about what's going on in the story. Why do these parents even care about their noisy neighbors? They love partying, doing drugs, and leaving their infant child home alone. Why would these parents care if their baby can't sleep? They are already having intercourse in front of the child... Also, why would a police officer rat out a neighbor that filed a noise complaint? Why would someone dry hump a bush sculptor of a person bent over to get rid of it? Just cut it down! It's like an 8 year old wrote this script. I found myself asking constantly, "Why is this happening?" I must have missed the part where I was suppose to laugh. I was expecting to find a funny clever film like This is the End... Oh, how wrong I was. Good job everyone. You fooled me into paying a lot of money to see this garbage. The joke's on me.

I really liked all the new characters in this film, because each was unique and brought a different perspective on vigilante super heroism. Of course, Hit Girl was the best part, but I would disagree with many that she was the only good part. If you are a fan of the first, I guarantee that you'll like this one.

What a huge disappoint. As someone who absolutely loved District 9, this movie was my most anticipated film of the year. I'll start with the positives. The movie was amazing when it came to creativity of the world, special effects and action. But as amazing as those were, I couldn't get over how dumb and terrible the characters and story were... especially the acting. I cringed every time Jodie Foster was on the screen. *shivers* I swear, how come everyone has to yell in this movie? I can hardly understand the dialogue half the time. This movie was so blatantly black and white between the rich and poor. One rich person actually had the word "riche" tattooed on their face. It's like without that you wouldn't be able to tell how evil he was... Also, it was stupid how the robots on Earth were programmed to discriminate, while the robots on Elysium were dumbed down servants. Really? You would think that all robots would be programmed equally, like in iRobot. Oh, and how they pushed the story along was terrible. You'll understand when you see how Matt Damon's character gets sick. I was really buying into the concept, but it was executed so terribly.

What a disappointment. I was expecting great things from this movie. I thought McCarthy was great in Bridesmaids and likewise Bullock in Miss Congeniality. The two ladies together would be comedy gold, right? Wrong. This movie failed not because of these two talented actresses, but because the screenwriters were just flat out lazy. The story was terrible, and the jokes just lame. I believe I lost all respect for this film when they introduced an albino character where they continued to insult him on various "white" jokes. Just lazy. There were some funny moments in the film, and just one I would consider hilarious. Overall, this movie had a good concept, but the filmmakers blew it.

Evil Dead fan here. This movie was actually decent for a horror movie. Think Evil Dead with a budget, but missing the comical genius of Bruce Campbell. In the original, the actors outside of Bruce Campbell were terrible, but in this film everyone does a decent job. Also, glad that they used hardly any CGI, and went mostly with traditional makeup. I don't think we needed a reboot of the film, but as a movie it's pretty entertaining.

This was a good movie with enjoyable characters. I found myself laughing or smiling constantly. The director made some really good movies in the past, like Lilo & Stitch and How to Train Your Dragon. This was definitely his weakest film, but still good. The one flaw with the movie is that it was very repetitive. The whole movie the family is constantly running from danger and they reused some jokes. I think all kids well like this movie.

This movie was terrible! Bad acting all around. Nothing made sense. They tried to make the movie shocking with the violence, but it was laughable. Worst movie I've seen in a long time. I thought this movie was going to be better than Die Hard 5 based on the scores, but it was actually worse. I think there were only two good scenes in the movie: when Butler interrogates two bad guys, and when he saves the kid. There were so many scenes where they were trying to be serious, but I couldn't help but laugh out loud because they were so dumb. How this got a mid 40s score from the critics is beyond me.

I wouldn't call this a good movie because it was really cheesy. However, I did enjoy it enough to say that it's not a complete waste of time. I'm not a fan of the orginal, so I took this movie for what it was. My wife is a die hard fan of the orginal, and she hated it. I guess that tells you everything you need to know.

It seems like the concept of the father and son relationship could have worked. However, when you have garbage filmmakers (director, screenwriter, composer, editor, etc.) involved, it's bound to be a mess... I'm a Die Hard fan, and it's a shame they let this happen. Still not on the level of crap as Indy 4 or the Star Wars prequels... but definitely a bad movie. Word of advise if you plan to make another Die Hard film... get a good actor for the villain (i.e. Alan Rickman, Jeremy Irons, Timothy Olyphant) that actually has a clearly defined motive.

Boring, predictable and a very weak ending. I don't understand the critic's love for Steven Soderbergh. Only positive are the performances by the actors.

If you love Quentin Tarantino, you love Django Unchained. Yes, it's bloody at some points. Yes, the language can be offensive. However, everything about this movie is the definition of "cool". This movie was also casted perfectly. I loved everyone in this movie. The single problem I had with the film was when Tarantino went a little over the top with the humor. Imagine watching a classic western, and then out of nowhere comes blasting rap music for your hero... little things like that were a little bit too absurd for me. Overall an amazing film.

The Hobbit was a very good movie! It could have been perfect, but I thought they used way too much CGI for characters, when they did such a good on costumes and makeup in the Lord of the Rings. Also, I really didn't like the Brown Wizard at all. All his scenes were horribly out of place. They rest of the movie was great! I loved all the dwarf characters and the in depth back story of their race. Gandalf, Bilbo, and Golem were really good. If they went back to costumes and makeup and edited out the Brown Wizard entirely, my score would of been a perfect 10.

The best aspect of this film is that you see Lincoln the person and not Lincoln the hero. The acting was so superb that you forget you're watching actors. Also, had a great blend of political humor. Amazing film! The only reason I didn't give this movie a ten, was for the fact that it was a bit dialogue heavy, which made it hard to follow sometimes.

Pass. I right this review for adults that like animated films, like myself. This movie had a great concept, and the world was well defined in the first 20 minutes. After that, all your beloved classic video game characters disappear from the movie. I thought the movie was going really well up until the point where Wreck-It Ralph reach the candy racer video game. This is when the movie turned terrible. I don't think I smiled or laughed once for the next hour. I will however give them credit for the last 15 minutes of the movie, which was the best part. This movie had great potential, but most of it ended up being the same quality as Ice Age.

This movie was way overhyped... and as a result it was a let down. I should let everyone know up front that I'm not a James Bond fan at all, but there were a few that I liked. So from all the review, I figured this movie would be very enjoyable. Unfortunately, the first half was very boring... like most James Bond movies, and the main villain shows up over half way through the film, which at that point it turned interesting. However, the ending didn't really leave me satisfied. You'd think that they could come up with a better way for Bond to dispatch the villain... Oh well... I'm sure all Bond fans will love it, just like they love all Bond movies. But for those of you who aren't fans, you can pass on this one. There are other movies out there that probably deserve viewing first.

Wow! The most original movie I've seen since Inception. Very intelligently written! This movie is the complete opposite of most movies that come out today, which aim to please the easily entertained. You'll definitely be thinking about this movie for awhile after you see it. It's an instant classic sci-fi film, which I'll have to add to my collection for sure when it comes out on video.

This movie is about pure entertainment, and it does not disappoint. The best way I could describe this movie is by saying it's a cross between a badass John Carpenter 80's film and the original RoboCop (Director's cut). The only problem I had with the film was the lack of back story on the characters. Each actor played their roles really well, and the settings was well designed and gritty. This is a must see for anyone who's an action junky.

Yeah, it was surprisingly good. Not enough to justify rebooting a good movie to begin with that was made only a decade ago. A lot of really hokey stuff...especially all the scenes with the CGI Spider-Man. If I had to hear Spider-Man yell "Woo-hoo!" one more time while swinging on a web, I probably would have thrown my popcorn at the screen. Please, no more first person-view Spider-Man shots while jumping from building to building. Garfield's acting while Peter Parker saved this movie, and lucky for us, that pretty much dominated this movie.

I was really disappointed with this film. I was looking forward to a great movie, but Brave is very bland. The main heroine is a very unlikeable character, because she's very selfish and even seeks harm to her own mother. All the male characters are bumbling idiots and can't even comprehend something that's being yelled in their face 5 times in a row. The main bear character, without giving away too much about the story, is very repetitive in its manerisms. All the main characters are very unlikeable... and when you reach the point where you are not cheering for anyone in the story, you don't care about anything that happens to them. The only positives I can say about this film is that the computer graphics were amazing to look at, and the witch and triplets were entertaining (but only had a combined 15 minutes of screen time). I'm sure kids will love this movie, especially little girls who want to see a strong female character. However, for the adult crowd that appreciates a family film that includes feeling and humor, this movie missed the mark by a mile.

I thought this movie had a really good story, great special effects, inspiring movie score, fantastic cinematography, creative creature design, and scary moments that were actually scary. I enjoyed every minute of it, however... the execution was off. The story had plot holes and the transition between scenes were awkward. Now, I know Ridley Scott has a tendency to make very long movies that are very difficult to edit for theatrical release. For example, his film Kingdom of Heaven suffered the same problem and it ruined the movie, but then the directors cut showed us the full version and everything flowed perfectly. I will give Ridley Scott the benefit of the doubt until I see the full version. The movie wasn't flawless do to some poor acting and lack of great characters, so I'm going with a 9. If I see the full version of this film, and it still has those plot holes or transition problems, then I will downgrade to an 8. I think everyone was expecting perfection, and we didn't get it, so the disappointment is resulting in lower user scores than it actually deserves.
