It's a rollicking children's entertainment, gorgeously animated and wittily cast, and also an unusually astute exploration of the complex bond between mothers and daughters, a relationship that's often either elided or sentimentalized in children's literature and film.

It's one of the most beautiful movies I've ever watched. Everything about it is perfect. A unique type of adventure them and story telling that teaches us to stand up for what we really want to be on the inside and never give up on it.
I think that's why this movie is named Brave.
To teach us to fight for the person we want to be and never be afraid of it.
If I'm going to rank all princesses movies , This one would be the second one.

Masterpiece movie. The story is so enjoyable, scoring is really great, visual is decent, and the voice is stunning

Merida may be a headstrong heroine, a feisty animated hybrid who calls to mind Katniss Everdeen, Bella Swan, and the neo-fairy-tale protagonist who faces off against her evil stepmother in "Snow White and the Huntsman." But she is also, for safety's sake, a nice girl in a pretty green dress who loves her family and believes in dynasty.

The core family relationships ring pleasingly true, and the rebellious Merida is, alongside Katniss Everdeen, an intelligent, capable, and empathetic proto-riot grrrl with stupifyingly kickass hair and even better aim.

Gorgeously animated and featuring a tapestry of real-looking wonders, Brave is certainly a thing of beauty. But its emotional layers don't yield the same depth.

This isn't the NASCAR-fellating cash grab that is the Cars franchise, but it's still Pixar on preachy autopilot.

Had very positive memories of it and rewatched it. Wasn't good.Story and scenario very interesting, with good opportunities and addressing interesting themes. There is a dose of humour, sometimes very good, sometimes completely dumb. As if you couldn't use clever jokes with children. Animation is rather good and fluid. Environment is amazing and mythology is just **** the pace is very jerky, with numerous phases of let downs, of story going nowhere. The ending (no spoil) is really quick, and a bit too easy, almost incomprehensible. Faces of characters are definitely not good, with such weird **** to me 'Brave' wasn't actually bad but not good neither.

Brave shoots arrows in various fates as it really shines with tartan Scottish culture but my main negative is it really does have a frustrating balance.

I have no idea why this film won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature 2012, Brave was not that great. It had a very bland story with very bland themes and it was not inspiring at all. I really don't know why Pixar made a stupid film like this. All it was was just eye candy which was good as usual for Pixar, but the story was not good. Wreck-It Ralph should have won that Academy Award, that film was actually creative; I felt that they just gave the film that reward just because it's Pixar...that's it. Besides the Cars films, Brave is one of Pixar's biggest mistakes. I would not recommend it.
