Wreck-It Ralph is smart, funny, sweet and sassy. And that's just Sarah Silverman's character... The movie is a treat for kids and the parents they drag to see it. Or maybe it'll be the other way around. Either way. It doesn't matter how you get to it. Just get there.

Replace the toy box with the arcade machine, and Wreck-It Ralph is basically a repurposed "Toy Story" movie, suffused with the same mix of adventure and nostalgia and themes of friendship and the existential crises that come with age. A cynic might dismiss the film as reheated leftovers. But that cynic would be wrong, because those leftovers are delicious.

The genre of video game movies is a tough nut to crack but this movie manages it very well, I think because it looks at the concept as a whole and not at one particular game. Loads of call backs to arcade classics and newer games and an enjoyable story to boot. As a kid who was amazed by Tron this movie would be this generations version of it. 9/10 in isolation but 10/10 for being one of the few that have 'cracked' the code.

Más que increíble, la vi varias veces y no me aburrió, una trama compleja y bastante bastante completa (no es una historia tan sencilla y ya, tiene un trasfondo, desarrollo, y giro de eventos que resulta espectacular), engancha al espectador, se enfoca en la calidad a lo largo del tiempo (nunca decae, al menos no recuerdo que lo haga), recuerdo que desde el inicio hasta el final hace que valga la pena (cosa muy difícil de conseguir, porque debes pensar mucho en la trama, y muchos detalles que pulir y demás), tiene ese ambiente familiar, cálido y alegre que hace que me sienta en casa, es impresionante ver que hagan cosas así y me gustó en mi niñez (el hecho de que la viera y la pasara entretenido una y otra vez de niño me recuerda su calidad, no solo eso, es que la recuerdo así, siendo muy buena y notándose que la hicieron con cariño, para los niños).

and i'm a bad guy.. Wreck-It Ralph The movie starts off slow and takes too much time to chew off the characters before the plot thickens and surrounds the characters under a pile of troubles with lots of twists to come and the final act where the writer shows off majestically.

Classic video games character cameos and video games come to life in a hyper detailed CGI world. Sold. Unfortunately this movie falls flat overall. Too many characters, overly tricky plot twists and really is two plots smashed together. This movie really should have been called "Sugar Rush" because Ralph's overarching plot seems lost in the meat of the film's race and betrayal story. The ensemble video game cast of characters never really gels for me in the same way as the toys do in Toy Story or Finding Nemo. I'm still waiting for an awesome video game move. Like Tron this one falls short of the mark.

"Wreck-It Ralph" starts out completely promising, witty, and filled with a sense of smart blending of arcade and video game culture. However, as the film progresses, the story becomes weak and the characters are lackluster in any comedic wit or compassion. The film fails as a comprehensive plot and becomes a completely missed opportunity for the blending of such popular characters sharing the screen for one of the first times.
