Resident Evil 48

As of today, i had 7 playthroughs because of the platinum trophy, which i now have. Also have to say that i never played the original game from 2005. I don't love this game, although a lot of Resident Evil fans love it. People say that this version have more survival horror content compared to the original version, but for me it's not enough. Honestly, i think that Resident Evil 4 Remake is only a action horror game. That being said, i prefer survival horror Resident Evil games. About the scenarios, not one stand out for me as very good or not good. All locations are simply avarege for me, comparing with other Resident Evil games. However, the level design and ambience is very well done, also the world created is very beautiful. Just as other RE Engine games, the graphics, sound, optimization and gameplay is amazing. The story is ok, which is something that i also can say about most of the base enemies and boss enemies, although boss fights are very fun. The insects are just boring and nonsense. Overall, the game is very fun, but the experience gets worse the more you start new playthroughs, which didn't happen for me in most Resident Evil games. As i said, this one lacks horror survival. However, still a fun and very well constructed game, if not, i wouldn't have played 7 times. As action horror, it's the best i have played, but it's not on my Resident Evil podium.

I have to start this review saying that i have more than 500 hours of gameplay, in both Playstation 4 and 5 versions, which is a lot for someone that doesn't have that much time to play. Also have platinum trophy in both console versions. Until today, in my opinion, this game is the best open world RPG ever made, and i'm still looking foward to have a equal experience in other games. Geralt is a fantastic character, the continent is rich and alive, the exploration is very rewarding and challenging. In my first playthrough i thought about the game all day long. Even in 2026 it still looks amazing and the gameplay still fun. Playing this game in "Death March!" difficulty is the ultimate open world RPG expirience.

I have the platinum trophy both on Playstation 4 and 5, had a lot of playthrougs and playtime, and really like this one. For me, the best horror in Resident Evil games, with the right amount of action, great survival features, backtracking and puzzles. The scenarios are great, i like even the ship. The Baker family are fantastic characters and bosses, with Jack Baker being one of the best stalker bosses in the franchise. The first person view is not the usual on the franchise, but in this game i think that was a really great choice, and adds a lot to the horror atmosphere. I actually like Ethan Winters. I know that a lot of people dislike this protagonist, but i have nothing against him. What i actually dislike is the fact that Capcom chose to not even show him or his face on cutscenes. I honestly think that if his face was shown in the cinematic parts of this game, a lot of people would like him more. The lack of common enemy diversification is a negative aspect of this game, but not enough to downsize the score. And something to say, just like as the other RE Engine games, it's notable how well optimized is the game, with great graphics, sound and gameplay.

Played and got the platinum trophy for this game. I think that it is a nice game, with, as usual for the RE Engine, nice gameplay, great graphics, sound and optimization.I can't say that it's not a good game, but i don't think it's a great Resident Evil. Too much action and lacks horror survival, and on the contrary to what we see on Resident Evil 7, i really dislike the first person gameplay for this game. Only a small fraction of the game utilizes it well. The map is too open, a third person view would be better. The "deluxe version" has a third person view that is horrible, it's very noticeble that it was a rush decision to add that.Just as Resident Evil 7, i like Ethan Winters and his reasons to be there fighting monsters, but i hate the fact that Capcom chose to not showing him and his face even on cutscenes. The enemies are actually ok. The game brings a lot of inspiration on horror genre, just don't make that much sense in the Resident Evil world. The boss fights are, without exception, boring. The boss characters are also boring and not memorable. The stalker boss is laughable. In general, what i can say is that this game has a fun gameplay, and with the addition to the quality of the RE Engine are the aspects that boost this score to a 7. But it lacks a soul. Almost everything on the story and boss characters are just blend and boring. The fun is just killing base enemies. The game seems to be a cheap copy of Resident Evil 4. The only thing that has a actually meaning is Ethan motivation to be there on the Village.

The most beautiful Resident Evil game ever made. The RE Engine is fantastic, game released well optimized, as always great sound, graphics and gameplay. This game is a fantastic entry to the franchise and has a great fan service on bringing back Racoon City in the year that Resident Evil franchise reaches it's 30th anniversary. The story is overall well written. Leon is a fantastic character and protagonist, and Grace was a great addition to the franchise. Also, i think that the voice acting in english was the best ever made on Resident Evil story, with an absolute fantastic Grace. The survival horror sections are fantastic, one of the best on the franchise. Altough i don't view "the Girl" as a stalker in the same way as Mr. X or Nemesis, the parts that we encounter this boss are amazing and difficult, even in the additional playthroughs that i played in order to get the platinum trophy. Leon's sections actually have a right amount of action, even for a Resident Evil franchise, in which i like a more survival horror approach. What i dislike in his section, and the mainly reason for this game not getting a 10 rating on my review, is the fact that his Racoon City playthrough is too bright because of the daylight: for me, the same gameplay at night would be better. Also i hated, on the first playtrough, the "cybepunk-like" soundtrack that played in every enemy encounter while playing as Leon. That not so good feeling kept getting worse on the other 3 playthroughs that i had in order to platinum the game. There is a lack of boss fights in this game, if we don't consider the Girl sections as boss fights, but i actually don't dislike it. Maybe the game would be better with more boss fights, but i didn't miss them that much.

Played this one and got the platinum trophy in both Playstation 4 and 5, so i had a lot of hours playing this one. Amazing survivor horror with the right percentual of action for a Resident Evil game, with fantastic backtracking and great puzzles. Leon and Claire are great protagonists. The Racoon City Police Department, very well known as R.P.D is the best scenario i have ever seen on Resident Evil games. Also the famous Mr. X is a fantastic and terrifying stalker, one of the best in the franchise. Fantastic overall atmosphere. The only part i don't like, as usual in Resident Evil games, is the laboratory, but still not enough to downsize the score.

I can't go higher than 6 on this game. The score is just because of it's great technical features: amazing graphics, sound, gameplay and overall optimization, just like the recent Resident Evil games released on RE Engine. I have the platinum trophy on playstation 4 and playstation 5, so i played it a lot of times. This game has a lot of problems: story too short, even if you haven't played the original you can notice that a lot of things are missing. The first section of the game has a terrifying Nemesis and great survival horror, but from the second boss fight onwards it kept getting MUCH WORSE. This release feels like a Resident Evil 2 Remake's spin off.

Played this game too far after it's released, i think it was too late to like it compared to other Grand Theft Auto games. Compared to San Andreas that was released close to it, i just don't think that it's as good.

Fantastic game, played the game and Shadow of the Erdtree, and even got the platinum trophy. Amazing open world to explore, great and difficult boss fights as expected for a Soulslike game. Not a 10 because i still don't understend more than 50% of the story, even after playing for at least 200 hours.

Played this game in Playstation 3, 4 and 5. Completed the story five times, and maintains it's enjoyable gameplay even after more than a decade. Great characters with a very fun story and a very likeable open world. Not a 10 because i enjoy platinum trophies, and for someone that don't like online gameplay, it was really boring doing it.

The best open world ever created, even in 2026 no game surpassed. Fantastic story and chatacters, this game has a very serious approach storywise and the world is full of details that we keep learning about. The gameplay is incredible, like other Rockstar games. Arthur Morgan is one of the most well written protagonists on gaming history, complex and very likeable, even for an outlaw. The single player story is so great that holds by itself a 10 score even with a poor online mode and unbearable platinum trophy.
