The Secrets We Keep is a film directed Yuval Adler and is about a Maja, played by Noomi Rapace, who in a post WWII america runs into a man she believes committed an heinous crime against her during the war. This film has a lot of potential, the set up and concept could have made for great film. Plus the acting was solid. Yet this film falls a little pit short of greatness. The film tries to build up reveals, yet accidentally shows the big reveal early. Add that to the fact that the actual story of the film is pretty boring you have to wonder what made them decide play this film the way they did. They try to make us feel for all party's involved but fail to give them all equal screen time. In conclusion this film isn't bad by any definition but it just could have been so much better.

The Broken Hearts Gallery is the first film to be directed by Natalie Krinsky and is about a girls named Lucy Gulliver, played by Geraldine Viswanathan, who collects stuff from her past breakups and one day after she goes through another breakup decides to open up a gallery where people can come and drop off items from a past breakup. This film is okay for the most part. The acting is pretty good especially Geraldine Viswanathan who brings a great amount of energy and charisma to the role of Lucy. The jokes can be hit or miss at times but for the most part the film is pretty funny. However this film does have big problem with its writing in the that it is just cliche. I literally was able guess what was going happen with in the first few minutes of the film. I know that there isn't much that hasn't been done in a romantic comedy but you still need find something unique to give your story weight as it is I could just put on any romance film and get a similar feeling that I get in this film. In conclusion Like I said earlier this film does have good acting and good jokes that make it worth the watch just don't expect anything new here.

The New Mutants is a film directed Josh Boone and is about Danielle Moonstar played by Blu Hunt who wakes up after an incident to find she is in a "hospital" for mutants. This will most likely be the last X-men related project to have the 20th century logo. The X-men happen to be my favorite superhero team so I always have high hopes for any film remotely related to them. However this is a minor disappointment. The concept of blending superheros with horror though interesting is executed terribly. The first half of the film just drags its feat so you end up wondering when something is going to happen. Add that to the fact that the characters are written in such away that they all feel cliche, yet the actors do portray there respective characters well, especially Maisie Williams who played Rahne Sinclair and Anya Taylor-joy who played Illyana Rasputin. However, good acting wasn't enough to save this film. In conclusion unless you are a hard core X-men fan who needs a movie fix than stay far away from this film.

The Man Who Cried is a film directed by Sally Potter and is about a girls journey to reunite with her father. This film is a perfect example of visual story telling at it's best. Our main character speaks so rarely that we need good visuals and great score to explain the story, which this film has. The movement of the camera combined with the directors singular view make the film flawless, but what really stuck out for me is the score. The score is used in such away that it makes you feel like you are watching a modern day opera. This film is near perfection, however it is not for everyone. Like I said our main character has vary few lines and the same is true for her love interest, so if you are looking for film to spoon feed you the plot than this film will disappoint. You really need to be an art lover and a theater nerd to really get this film. In conclusion if you are looking for a fantastic art film than this is the film for you.

Charlotte Gray is a film directed by Gillian Armstrong and is about a Scottish women who becomes a Currier for the british government and than is sent to France to help the french underground during WWII. This film has all the makings **** film, good acting, some decent shots, and some wonderful writing. However it's all brought down by it's message which is that war isn't black and white. Now this message would be fine if it wasn't for the time period in which the film is set. You see I am of the believe that the **** were pure evil, so when I see a film state that though yes the Germans were evil the other governments were just as bad, it makes me very upset. Look I get that other government did bad things during WWII but nothing compares to the evil of the ****. In conclusion if your looking for good war film than stay far away from this film.

The Mummy is a remake of one the classic Universal monster movies and is directed by Alex Kurtzman. This recent retelling of the story is about a soldier turned treasure hunter played by Tome Crusie, who accidentally awakens a ancient mummy played by Sofia Boutella. This film wants so much to be like the marvel films, with it trying to set up hole universe in a single movie. But that just doesn't work, you need take time to set up an entire world of myths and monsters not try to clam it in to one movie. The story on it's own would have been perfectly fine if it had the time necessary to grow. Yet the film makers seem to want to go out of their way to make the film feel rushed. Another problem is Tome Cruise as the lead. Now I have never been a Tom Cruise fan, but in this film in particular he just comes off as one dimensional and **** only thing that saves this film from being a complete disaster is the acting of Sofia Boutella she plays the titular role of the evil mummy brought back to life and she plays it beautifully, this is only the third film I've seen her in and I'm quickly becoming a fan of hers. In conclusion even though I like Sofia Boutella in this film and doesn't change the fact that film is still just a big mess.

Blade Runner 2049 is directed by Denis Villeneuve and is the sequel to Bade Runner. It Follows officer K played by Ryan Gosling, who is android Blade Runner, as he discovers a mystery that might shed some light on his destiny. To be honest I never could get in to the first Blade Runner film. It was slow and took unnecessary detours, but the acting was good. In this film however every character is bland and boring. The same can be said for the story. it just feels like it goes on forever. On my first watch I actually feel asleep at the halve way point and woke up at the climax and knew exactly what was going on. If that isn't a sign of a film with some pacing problems then I don't know what is. However just because I can't stand this film doesn't mean there isn't an audience for this film. Remember I didn't like the first film either, so if you like that film than you could a different view on this film than me. In conclusion if you had problems with the first Blade Runner you might not like this film, yet if you are fan you might need to check this film out.

Zombieland is an action horror comedy film directed by Ruben Fleischer and is about a group of four trying to survive the zombie apocalypse. This group consist of a nerd who is afraid of everything named Columbus, played by Jesse Eisenberg, an insane bad-ass called Tallahssee, played by Woody Harrelson, a con woman named Wichita, played by Emma Stone, and Wichita's little sister Little Rock, Played Abigail Breslin. The acting in this film is spot on. Every time I see a movie like this I usually expect the performances to be phoned in, but in this film every one is at there best. The writing is also pretty good, it hits the right balance of action and comedy. My only real nitpick is that for a zombie apocalypse there very little zombies around. I mean there are times in this film you have to stop in wonder where all the monsters went. In conclusion if you are looking for a film with good comedy, good action, and great acting then this film is for you, however if you are looking for a great zombie film than this one might be a disappointment you.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the second Captain America film in the MCU and is about Cap fighting an international conspiracy that involves an old enemy and an old friend. This is probably my favorite of the Captain America movies. The actors are all at their best which is what we come to expect from the MCU. The writing is also top notch. But what really set this movie apart is its story. It's talks about the debate between freedom vs security with great touch realism, while blending it with characters that could never exist in our world and the film does seamlessly that it doesn't feel campy or fake. In conclusion if you are looking for comic book film with added realism than this is the film for you.

Edge of Tomorrow is a sci-fi movie directed by Doug Lineman and is about Sargent Cage, played by Tom Cruise, who through a set of circumstances ends up on the front line of a war between humans and a group of aliens called Mimics, where he kills one of the bigger aliens getting its blood all over him causing him to continually reset the day every time he dies. Before I continue I feel like i should mention that I hate time loop stories so my opinion might be affected by that. However I found this film to be just fine. The story isn't as repetitive as other time loop films. The ways in which our main character dies every time is unique enough to make it especially compelling. The characters are all written pretty well too. Yet this film does have it's fair share of problems. First the reason they give for why the aliens who have ability to control time don't just destroy the world instead giving us a fighting chance makes no sense what so ever. Second our main character can only reset the day by dyeing over and over again which for a normal human would servery damage their psyche yet Cage is perfectly fine after about a hundred times through the loop. The biggest issue is the performance given to us by our leads. They just don't have any compelling personality or chemistry. In conclusion though I have my fair share of problems with this film I still do feel like there is enough here that any sci-fi lover would find enjoyment, however I can't call it a great masterpiece of genre or anything like that.

Rocketman is a biopic about Sir Elton John directed by Dexter Fletcher and stars Taron Egerton as the titular Elton John. This film is presented amazingly well. The performance given by Taron Egerton is right on the money, which to be honest didn't surprise me one bit I have been a fan of his since the Kingsman movies and I already knew he could sing Elton John songs with is performance in Sing. It helps that the story betrays Elton with respect but doesn't shy away from the dark times in his live. Where most films would have tried to trim down the dark parts of his live this film dives head first into it. The biggest asset that this film has is the music numbers. Now normally I'm not a big fan of Elton John songs, yet this film presents each of them in a strange and unique manner that I couldn't help but get into them. In conclusion if you are an Elton John fan than you'll like this film, heck even if your not you might get some enjoyment out of this film.

Onward is a Pixar animated film directed by Dan Scanlon and is about 2 elf brothers, Ian voiced by Tom Holland and Barley voiced by Chris Pratt, who on Ian's 16th birthday are given a magic staff that will let them meet there dead father. However because the spell goes wrong and only the bottom part of there dad is brought back Ian and Barley must go on a quest to get a magic stone so they can meet their dad. This film showcases why we love Pixar so much. The characters make sense given the situation. It can be really difficult to sympathies with characters in fantastical setting at times putting the pressure on the writer to make the charterers fit in with the world as well making them feel real to the audience and this film manages to do it no problem. The story is also very compelling. Fans of D&D will love the not so subtle reverences to **** made through out the film, while others will enjoy the family aspects of the film. However this film does have it's fair share of flaws especially with the rules involving it's own magic. There are plenty times when the film fails to explain why it's magic doesn't work in a certain way. Yet This doesn't take away from my overall enjoyment of the film. Also there is the problem that this film though original in concept isn't all that original in execution. Again however, this did not bother me much. In conclusion if your looking for a good animated film that has something for everyone than this is the film for you.

Jin-Roh is an anime film directed by Hiroyuki Okiura and is about Kazuki Fuse a member of a special police force that specialize in taking down terrorist until one day he fails to shoot a little girl with a bomb. This film is an acquired taste. The action is bloody and they don't shy away from the carnage. It also gives us some visual that can both amaze and confuse the viewer. Plus it doesn't give us much background on our main character. However this didn't affect my overall enjoyment of the film. This is mainly because of my personal taste when it comes to anime films. for example I like animes like Ghost and the Shell and Akira. I like Sci-Fi imagery and I like characters that are hard to relate to. But I can understand why someone wouldn't like this film. The Hours is a film directed by Stephan Daldry and is about 3 different women in 3 different time periods and their struggling depression. This film is one of the most depressing films I have ever seen, and I mean that in the best possible way. It gives us relatable characters dealing with relatable problems. The story is presented in such a way that we have to feel exactly what they are feeling. Plus the music composition, which is done by Philip Glass, is used brilliantly. Add that to some great performances and you've got **** film. However this movie does have one major flaw in that one of our leads, Laura Brown played by Julianne Moore, isn't given a reason to be depressed. She has a family, a husband who loves her and good friends. So why is she depressed? I have no clue. Yet this problem can easily be overlooked thanks to the other great stuff in this film. Underwater is horror movie directed by William Eubank and is about members of an underwater drilling crew who after their rig is nearly destroyed have to walk across the ocean floor to get to safety, however there seems to be more than just fish out there with them. This a good example of a movie knowing exactly what it's audience wants and how to achieve it. From the concept alone you know your in for some B-movie style horror and the film doesn't waste time and gives you just that. The acting is also pretty solid especially the performance given by Kristen Stewart, who plays our main character Nora. Plus the film just looks amazing it captures the darkness of the bottom of the ocean wonderfully. However the film has one major problem, that being it's story is bland and almost non-existent and the set up is vary stereotypical. Yet this doesn't bother me. If I could use one word to describe this film it would be dull. That's mainly due to the terrible pacing of the film. There are just to many moments where nothing happens. The story doesn't help either, it's literally a bunch of similar plot points that we have seen in better films with barley anything new added to them. This is one of the rare time times I get to say that everyone who participated in this film is at there best. All the actors play there roles perfectly, the screenwriting and direction are both at there peak. Yet this film short of being a great film. That is because the way the actors interpreted the script is clearly different than what the director had in mind. Tomorrowland is a film directed by Brad Bird and is about a girl named Casy Newton who fins an orange pin that when she touches it shows her a futuristic world. almost as if on cue she gets dragged into a story that involves the entire fate of the world. I found film enjoyable from beginning to end. It's full comedic whit and stunning imagery. The actors are all at there best in this film especially George Clooney. This makes almost all the characters interesting. There is one exception to this rule however and that our main antagonist Nix play Hugh Laurie. Though Laurie plays the character perfectly with what he is given the character fails to realize any type of depth tho the failings of his own motivation. But to be honest since he isn't in the film all that much it doesn't really hurt the film. Rambo Last Blood is about Rambo going after a group of sex trafficker who kidnap his niece. If that sounds like taken that's because it pretty much is. The story is the weakest part of this movie, it's mainly a bunch of typical elements I've seen in other action films. So if the story is bad maybe the characters are memorable, but unfortunately the only characters name I can even remember is Rambo's. If this is the case than why is I'm giving this an okay rating instead of a bad one? Well that would be because of the only other thing that matters in a movie like this, the action. This film is the most brutal action film I have ever seen, and I love it. The way this film shoots the action is incredible you can feel every hit. I really hope future action films take a notice of this one I would love to see more action like this. Fast and the Furious presents: Hobbs and Shaw is a film directed by David Leitch and is about Luke Hobbs played by the Rock being forced to team up with the man he hates the most, Deckard Shaw played by Jason Statham, in order to save the world and Shaw's sister. This film is exactly what we have come to expect from the Fast and the Furious franchise, mindless action with over the top characters and and a plot with several implausibilities. Meaning this film could either be wicked fun or simply horrible, thankfully this follows the way of the former not the latter. The characters all written and portrayed well and the action is well paced add that to your standard Fast and the Furious message of family and togetherness and could have a really great film. However, this film does have it's fair share of problems. First being that it feels 30 minutes to long. The second problem is they don't give a good explanation for why they don't call the rest of the Fast and the Furious characters for help. I get not having them because you want to start a new series of films staring Hobbs and Shaw but you still need to give us a narrative reason why they aren't there. Lastly though the action was well paced it wasn't shot all that well and it relied on to much slow motion. Yet those problems don't stop me from having a good time with the film. This movie follows in the same formula as the classic film 7 Samurai, samurai get's hired for a job, samurai puts together a team, team trains for job, and team executes the job. Now that formula alone wouldn't be enough to make the film worth the watch, but what the movie adds does. That would the debate between 2 different practices of bushido the practice of protecting people less fortunate and the practice of protecting ones lord. Also we're given some really good characters including a villain who's every move makes your spine chill. Godzilla: King of the Monsters is the official sequel to the 2014 Godzilla film and takes place in the same universe as Kong Skull Island. It takes place several years after the Godzilla and MUTO fight in San Fracisco and is about more monsters being released and beginning a fight for dominance. If that doesn't sound like a fun concept to you than you will not like this movie. I liked the 2014 film just fine but had a problem with there being only one real scene with Godzilla in all of his glory, so I was hopping this film would feature more of him and the other monsters and oh god this film certainly delivered on that front. The monsters design are all brilliant and the fights are all awesome. However this film does come with it's own fair share of problems. Like I said the concept is fun however the over all story get's kind of ridiculous and over complicated. You see they try to set up the debate that these giant monsters might be here to put humanity in check and save the environment by killing millions of people. Which is just stupid. This is a giant monster movie no one is going to buy a ticket to this film hoping to hear a debate on the human problem. They're going to see a giant monsters kill each other. Add that to the fact that most human characters are as generic as possible and some parts of this film feel like time wasters. I grew up with the original Hellboy movies so I really got excited when I heard that they were rebooting I thought the film could have tons of potential. But sadly all my hopes were quickly crushed. This movie is terrible from beginning to end. The story is a mess that takes to long to get going. the first half of the film is just a bunch of random people with no real personality trying to kill our lead, while the second half is your stereotypical story of villain trying to convince our hero to join them in there quest to rule/destroy the world. Now as bad that may sound the film still could have worked as long as it had good characters. Sadly the majority of the characters are uninteresting or contribute vary little to the story including the big bad of the story, The Blood Queen played by Mila Jovoich, who is supposed to be the all powerful evil witch but instead of intimidating she comes off as boring. But even that could have been fine as long as the action was fun and accelerating. Yet even that falls short. The fights are poorly done and CG is of a low quality. In conclusion if your looking for a fun action adventure with some supernatural elements than stick to the originals and stay far away from this hell spawn.

The Lego Movie 2: the Second Part is the sequel to the original Lego Movie and is directed by Mike Mitchell. It takes place 5 years after the events of first film where a once colorful Lego as turned into a baron wasteland during the invasions done by the Sistar System. Leaving the people to become harden and serious from the devastation all except Emmet voiced by Chris Pratt who still believes that there is still something positive in this wasteland. Until 5 of his friends, Wyldstyle voiced by Elizebeth Banks, Batman voiced by Will Arnett, Unikitty voiced by Alison Brie, Metalbeard voiced by Nick Offerman, and Benny voiced by Charlie day, are kidnapped by General Mayhem voiced by Stephanie Beatriz and brought to the Sistar System leaving Emmet to pursue them. I thought the first Lego Movie was a good film but I didn't think it needed a sequel so I didn't expect much from this film but man was I wrong. This flick is fantastic with a story that keeps you engaged from begging to end. All the returning characters are highlighted excellently in this film, they even throw in some references to the Lego Batman movie. The comedy is nice and balanced. The new characters fit in nicely especially Queen Whatevera Wa'nabi voiced by Tiffany Haddish a form changing queen who is always more than she appears to be. But the best part of the film by far are the songs. They're are perfectly composed and paced to the point that there really isn't a bad one in the bunch. However the film does have one issue with that of it's message. You see film tries to have multiple messages, that of the relationship between siblings and that of growing up losing that childhood whimsy. Both messages are fine on there own but putting them together can cause the problem of feeling like there's something out of place, because inevitably one message will out way the other. If I where the film makers I would have just focused on the relationship between siblings message, since that would fit with what the first film did. In conclusion though I can't say this film is perfect I did find my self thoroughly entertained through it's entire running time, so if you've seen the first film than sit down and enjoy the show.

Green Book is directed by Peter Fairly and is about the journey and friendship between Tony Vallelonga, an Italian driver played by Viggo Mortensen, and Dr. Don Shirley, a black pianist played by Mahershala Ali, as they journey though the south in the 60's. That concept sounds pretty simplistic but this film executes it so well that you don't think that. The relationship between our two leads is portrayed excellently. The film is at it's best when it's just the two of them having a simple conversation. Viggo Mortensen plays Tony Vallelonga perfectly as the typical Italian during the 60's, his comedic timing and delivery makes him hilarious but relate able and is balanced excellently Mahershala Ali's stoic and dramatic portrayal as Dr. Don Shirley. Peter Fairly has established him self as good comedy director with the Dumb and Dumber movies, but this the first time that I have felt like he has hit that perfect balance of drama and comedy. In conclusion this is the best film of the year so far and if you haven't seen it yet then see it immediately.

Halloween is directed by David Gordon Green and is the official sequel to the 1978 classic. It is about the escape of Michael Myers and his return to the town of Haddonfield. This film is okay for the most part. The story is what you expect from a Halloween movie, simplistic and open for a director to play with. The characters are good. Jamie Lee Curtis comes back as Laurie Strode and as always she's amazing, Haluk Bilginer is also great in this movie as Dr. Sartain, Michael's new doctor since Dr. Loomis dead. The only real forgettable character is Allyson (Laurie Strode's granddaughter) played Andi Matichak, she's pretty much your typical shallow teen stereotype. Unfortunately that brings us to my main problem with the film since it decides to focus on the granddaughter for more than half the film. Meaning the story focuses on it weakest elements instead of the main conflict between Laurie and Michael which what we want to see. Luckily the last third of the film refocuses on that exact plot line turning the film into a chilling struggle of life and death. In conclusion though this film isn't as great as the original it's still pretty good, so if you like the other Halloween movies then you'll like this new entry to the franchise.

When I heard that Brain Henson was making an R-rated puppet film I was so excited unfortunately this movie doesn't live up to expectations. The story is your basic murder mystery with out any real surprises. It relies on shock humor to get laughs but after a while it gets old and lame. It tries be adult by using crude jokes and sexual imagery but unfortunately it comes off as childish. The characters are are boring and uninteresting. The protagonist is a complete ass while the supporting characters are all idiots who's sole purpose is to make the protagonist look smarter. The only one who is at all interesting is Bubbles played by Maya Rudolph. She is the protagonist's secretary and has more personalty than all the other characters combined. In conclusion unless you have nothing better to do stay away from this film.

When I heard that there was going to be a Christopher Robin movie I honestly couldn't of cared less. I wasn't huge fan of Winnie the Pooh or any the properties related to it. But after seeing this film that opinion might just change. Almost everything this movie tries to accomplish, from making you feel wonder of childhood ignorance to making you laugh uncontrollably at the stuff the residence of the Hundred Acre Wood say, it succeeds in doing. However, that doesn't mean the movie is perfect. The story is generic and it gets of to a slow start, but the good does outweigh the bad in this case. When Pooh finally enters the story the film begins to fire on all cylinders. there is so much good thing that to explain all to you in this review would be an injustice. So all I can say is that if you are looking for good film that the entire family can enjoy than this film is the perfect one for you

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is the 5th Jurassic Park movie and the second in the Jurassic World line. The film is directed by J.A. Bayona best known for his work on A Monster Calls. This film is about the main characters from the first Jurassic World trying to save the dinosaurs from going back into extinction, but an evil business man has other ideas for these massive lizards including a plan to create another man made dino, because that turned out so well the first time. I thought the first Jurassic World was fun and enjoyable so I wasn't shocked when it was announced that there was going to be another one. This movie isn't as fun as the first but it's still an all round good film. The scenes on the island are well done, they're brightly lit and full of that wonder that we have come to expect from these Jurassic movies. The third act is suspenseful and action pact. The film unfortunately does have it's fair share problems. The first one being that it focuses a little too much on the morality of concepts that the story presents. This wouldn't be a problem if the was as serious as the problems it presents, but since the film is the latest in line of film that are all supposed to fun action adventures it just comes off as out of place. I mean you do have to glance at the moral questions your concept provides but you shouldn't be making them front and center for the majority of the film. Second the film as a twist in the third act that is unnecessary and barely ties in to the rest of the film. The third problem is that the big bad dino in this film isn't nearly terrifying as the one from first film, in the sense that first was designed to be the perfect killing machine one that could blend with an surroundings and out outwit most humans, but this one does none of those things which leads to a climax that feels lackluster at best. Making me fell like this film is a step back words from the first one. My final Problem is that it feels like no one learned anything from the last film. I mean why would think making another smart dino would be could idea after the first went berserk? Of course that's not to say that this film isn't bad by any meaning of the word. The characters in this film are all fantastic. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard both return with there characters from the last film and enjoyable as always, and the new side characters are both fun. Plus the scenes on the island are amazing. In conclusion If your liked the first film then you like this one, just don't expect it to be as good as the first one.

When I heard that Aardman was making another original claymation work I excited to see what they had come up with this time and I'm to say that Early Man does not disappoint. Early Man is about a group of caveman who kicked out their valley by Lord Nooth and must challenge his bronze age society to a game Football/Soccer for the fate of there valley. Aardman as always has done a great job building the world in which characters interact. The comedy in this movie is perfect. However there some flaws in that moves really quickly. In conclusion if you like Aardman's work than you'll love the is film.

I grew up loving the X-men comics. So much so that if I had to rate my favorite comic book teams they would number 1. So when I first picked up the movie I was looking forward to seeing what director Bryan Singer had up his sleeve and the end result was a movie that was generally an ok flick. It doesn't really channel what made X-men so interesting (the idea that a bunch of social outcast were fighting not just to save the world but for acceptance). Instead the movie focuses on Wolverine, played brilliantly by Hugh Jackman, who really doesn't care what happens to the world. That's not to say there some good things in this movie. Magneto, played by Sir Ian Mckellen, is portrayed masterfully and really get where he's coming from. Also the way they portray Rouge in this movie is amazing, she's honestly the best character in the movie. In conclusion if you really want to see an X-men movie than you could do worse than this.

Argo is exactly what you want out of movie based on an historical event. It's both exciting and factual. The film is about how CIA got 6 people out of Iran during the hostage crises while posing as film crew. The movie centers around CIA operative Tony Mendez (Ben Affleck) who enlists the help of Lester Siegel (Alan Arkin) and John Chambers (John Goodman) to make a fake movie called Argo in order to get the 6 Americans out of Iran. Ben Affleck does an amazing job playing Tony Mendez. Alan Arkin and John Goodman are are both hilarious in there respective roles. The movie doesn't change much of the original story, it jut adds some scenes for dramatic effect witch works well. In conclusion if your looking for a good movie based off an historical event than this is the movie for you.

I love fantasy movie and I'm also fan of the story King Arthur. However there hasn't really been a good movie adaptation of this story and sadly this movie didn't change that opinion. The story is pretty generic and they fail to catch what is fantastical about the original tale. They turn the character of Arthur from someone you want to see succeed into someone that we really don't have reason to care about. Finally they change the story to be about stopping the evil Uncle which feels like a rip off Hamlet. In conclusion if your looking for a good King Arthur story then stick to the books.

When I first heard that Fox was making a movie on P.T. Barnum I was excited, but then when I heard it was going to be a musical staring Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron I groaned a little. Lucky the movie pulled a win in the end. The characters where well written and the songs were amazing. If I had pick a favorite one it would be The Other Side. Jackman portrayed Barnum fantastically. However there are some problems I have with the movie. Like how it an over romanticized version of Barnum's live. Also they don't give the movie much time to breath in between musical numbers and some do just feel like music videos slammed into the movie. Yet you can still enjoy them. In conclusion if you like the circus and musicals than you'll like this film, if not then sadly this film is not for you.

I have no idea why everyone love this film so much. The characters are bad stereotypes went out with the 90's, the plot is boring, for the most part, and the ending is given away in the scene. There is one thing might make this film worth while and that is the antagonist Aggie, who well written and very likable. After you hear her backstory you'll immediately understand what she's doing why she's doing it. The other good thing this movie does is the last 30 minutes which is full of things we want to see. Action, drama, and some funny lines. What the the movie forces us to sit through to get to that point however, is just dumb. The movie is about our main character Norman, who is kid who can see interact with ghost. How? The movie never explains that. But everybody else in the movie hates him because of it. Why? I don't know. Plus there a witch's curse that only Norman can stop. If you haven't figured it out yet this movie pretty generic. This not helped that the characters are are all one dimensional stereotypes. In conclusion if you don't through of nonsense and make to ending you might like this film, if not then stay away from it.

Ridley Scott has once again made a good movie that I wouldn't mind watching over and over again. I have always loved the story of Robin Hood and to see one of my favorite directors take stab at this amazing tale is awesome. However, this film does have it's fair share of problems. The way it portrays King John is absolutely terrible, they made him look like a bumbling idiot who was easily manipulated. Second the decision to make an original villain (Godfrey) for this movie instead of sticking with King John and the sheriff Nottingham was mistake because they didn't give us a reason for why Godfrey would England. The great thing this movie does, however comes in the form of our protagonist, Robin Hood played by the great Russel Crow. It also fantastic action scenes. In conclusion if your looking for a great Robin Hood movie then there are better ones than this but this a bad adaption to watch either.

Sing is a movie that lures with the promise of being a modern day jukebox musical but ends up being a complete waste of time. Illumination was looking for another great hit since the only great movie they have been able to make was Despicable Me, but this wasn't it by long shot. It's not funny, unless you are two year old, and there are way to many characters to focus on. Thus every character in this film comes off as one dimensional and boring. with one exception, Johnny the Gorilla. The only other good part about this movie is the ending scene which is when, shock of all shock, the characters actually preform full musical numbers. you see in the majority of the film we don't get full musical numbers just pits of the characters singing. Which, for a movie called Sing is a shame. In conclusion this movie is terrible if your looking for good Jukebox musical go check out Rock of Ages and stay far away from this pile of crap.

But is that really a bad thing. Don't get me wrong I love the original and I recommend that movie to any one. Yet I do have to admit that it can come across as corny for modern audiences. Doctor Strange is a movie that is based off comic book and is one of marvels best characters ever created, yet they failed to capture what made the character so interesting in the first place. This movie tries to make this story of the master mystic arts as believable as possible but in doing so makes the story into a boring snooze fest. The story follows are title character trying to recover from an accident that has left him with serious nerve damage in his hands. Meanwhile the antagonist of this story is trying bring an evil entity of mass destruction to our world. Why is he doing this? So we can all live forever. Yes because the king of a place the dark dimension is totally trustworthy! All characters in this movie are underdeveloped and come off one dimensional. With the exception of our title character of course. But they don't really give us a reason to like him. Finally the way our protagonist beats our the big bad just seems lazy. In conclusion if you like Doctor Strange stick to the comic books, because they are ten times better than this pile of crap.

Risen is a case of a technically good movie overstaying it's welcome. It sticks to the source more than most biblical films usually do, but its just so boring. this movie is 40 minutes to long it spends most of the movie trying to get us to know the main character as best as we can, but that should 30 minutes of the film when it takes this movie almost an hour. The last chunk of the movie is pretty interesting but takes the film to long to get that point. It is true however that it is not an accurate representation of Egyptian mythology. Yet I think this might be one of the rare cases where the movie benefits from not being to close to the source material. This movie takes a classic approach to gangster movies and does decent job. True it's not as good as the old gangster movies but it has a certain style that Hollywood lacks today. It's about the city of Los Angeles during a time when gangster ran the town. this gangster was named Micky Cohen. Nobody in the the city dare stands accept for the ex-military officer turned cop John O'Mara. O'Mara ends up having to put a special task force to chase the gangs out of Los Angeles. This means that the movie needs portray a handful of characters well enough so the audience can find interest in all of them. This is were the movie fails because instead of showcasing every character to the best of there ability they make it so some character just feel like stereotypes. In conclusion if your looking for an old style gangster film with new film making techniques involved than this film is for you, however if your looking for an interesting story with interesting characters stay far away from this film.
