I can honestly admit that I have spent way too much of my life playing this game. I may have taken a few months or maybe even a year break but going back and playing this game is still fun. The best SimCity to date, far better graphics with an array of options and much improved game play. The mechanics of this game are brilliant and are actually pretty darn realistic in comparison to how a real city may be. Another amazing thing about this game is fact that there are thousands of mods, buildings, and cities available for download online that REALLY adds some serious amount of content. Also, I am more excited about SimCity 5 than any other game coming out, it will be epic! -HAHA EA played me (and us all) for a fool! Funny to look back years ago when I was "so exited" about SimCity 5, this really was the era that marks the downfall of quality games coming from EA! 'Fool me once, shame on ... shame on you. I have to say I am a little surprised at the level of hate towards Destiny 2. Maybe it's because I received it for free with another purchase online or I haven't played much of the original Destiny, but I don't have nearly as much negativity towards it as man other reviewers do. Yes the game is grindy after completion and yes the itemization and overall customization is a little sub par, but Destiny 2 looks incredible, runs completely smooth, and is continuing to offer a fun multiplayer/co-op experience with BattleNet friends. The music is enjoyable as well and matches up with the several different planets available to explore, which as stated are unique and very pleasing on the eyes. Combat is somewhat tedious at times but is very fluid, and although weapon variety is somewhat lacking the guns available are likable and fun to use. The story is not strong, rather mediocre, but with the continuation in DLC and the main focus not being the story I still think there is potential here because the world is mostly lively and fun to travel about. Overall I personally enjoy Destiny 2 but even though I was surprised at the negativity, after reading many user reviews I somewhat agree about the complaints in price and continued cost of soon to be released DLC, it would have been better if all the content was released at once.

Mass Effect: Andromeda

User ScorechronoT
Nov 27, 2017
I've tried several times over the past few months to like Mass Effect Andromeda but have now fully realized this will not happen, and unlike Mass Effect 3 I refuse to stand up for Bioware on this one. I am a slow learner because the Mass Effect series is near and dear to me, but the latest installment is an utter disappointment and I believe a true testament to where we stand in the video game industry. There are only a handful of games that I've purchased that I truly regret spending my money on because I tend to do my research and form a usually informative decision but in this case I am painstakingly upset. I feel Andromeda was a complete waste of money and I really don't want to state this but releasing games of this quality actually encourages pirating and I think EA should be ultimately ashamed. Just about every aspect of ME:A is a complete downgrade and a move in the opposite direction. The combat, dialogue, story, characters, and overall RPG elements are lacking tremendously and it shows in every category. The story and questing get boring so fast and almost the entire galaxy feels empty and pointless. We all know how bad the facial animations are even after corrections, but how sad is the directionless plot and meaningless quests? The core game ends rather fast and you are left with about 5 empty planets that are left 90% unexplored because they are left out of this core game. On top of all this is the dreadful galaxy map and travel system that even after a tab skip was implemented the entire system is tedious and a real bore. The final icing on the cake is the less than mediocre multiplayer and in the end you are left with a steaming pile of crap. I think it is also important and humorous to mention that I have a very good rig with an overclocked GTX 1080 and the game with all current updates runs horribly, constantly lagging and stuttering in 4K, which does not occur with any other PC title I run. It is hard to say these things and this is tough love because I have old attachments to the Mass Effect series and Bioware, but the direction their moving in and EA in general feels very easy to criticize. If things continue in this direction I will be forced as a gamer to completely severe my support of EA and never purchase a title again that has their name anywhere near it.

I would tell you to get out your guitar and play that sad song, but seeing as it's been 2 years since release that would be a bit inappropriate. Maybe in 2 more years there will be some amazing MOD that changes the experience and ultimately my opinion but until then I will remain truly disappointed with Fallout 4 and what it offers. I absolutely loved Fallout 3 and had very good feelings about New Vegas as well, but this game is lacking in just about every category. I won't need to go on about this because there are THOUSANDS of reviews that spell it out but to sum it up in my own words I would say a failed vision. Instead of getting better or more interesting Fallout 4 feels like a downgrade that makes a failed attempt to bring back the old. The textures I'm afraid are a huge factor for me, they are terrible on the eyes even with new texture packs offered. The graphics along with laughable dialogue and tediously boring missions don't help tie together a sequel that had high expectations. I really do hope something is done about this though because I still love the Fallout series and I still have some confidence in Bethesda even with how hit and miss they seem to be lately.

A play-through of Shadow Warrior 2 was an unexpectedly exhilarating rush of fun an excitement. Not having experience with the first game of the series, I dove in with low expectations and no grudges, and I enjoyed every bit of it. The beginning is a little bland and the story may seem cheesy at first, but as you progress things pan out nicely. Lo Wang is at times annoying an offensive, but he still finds a way to be funny and move the plot along. Combat is very fun, fast paced, and open to where you can move about freely and kill according to your style. There are plenty of weapons, tons of upgrades, and a decent array of skills to take advantage of. I would have liked to see more offensive skills that aren't tied to melee, but swordplay is still satisfying. Overall I was impressed by many different aspects of the game, most importantly though would be the combat and graphics. Shadow Warrior 2 pumped up at 4K with max textures is a pleasure to look at and has a very unique art style. A few areas of improvement for the game could include better itemization and an expanded leveling system where you control more of your characters' attributes.

Due to past glory I decided to give Assetto Corsa shot on PC in 4K. Overall the experience was a bit disappointing due to single player and most of the extras being a complete bore. Once you're done upgrading your car and have made your way through the tracks, there is no extra or exciting content that is offered. I do have to give praise for the graphics however, they are truly amazing and as far as realism goes I would say it ranks close to the top. The realistic driving control may be fun for some but I find it far too unresponsive to be as demanding as it is. Turning and overall control is difficult at times, but especially frustrating on harder courses. It will take time to get used to the tight controls, which once you do it doesn't seem the content is there to warrant continued play. On any future release I would like to see more single player and online content offered.

Overall an awesome remake to an epic FPS! You get thrown into action right away, and instantly you see the fast-paced, smooth, and most of the time wild game-play. The worlds are visually amazing, starting off on Mars and traveling to Hell, Bethesda did a wonderful job creating the atmosphere. The weapons/upgrades are nice and you continually receive new, more powerful weapons as the story progresses. I love how many aspects and most monsters from the original DOOM are brought back into this game. The shootout battles that ensue are very fun and extremely intense at times, especially on a harder difficulty. A few downsides though stop this title from becoming a masterpiece, but it is still absolutely worth a play-through or two. Negatives include an overall short single player campaign and a multiplayer option that is hard to get into because there are so many other choices out there.

SWG was an attempt at a Star Wars based MMORPG, an attempt that utterly failed. From the minute I installed this game I was plagued with bugs, lag, and glitches. My computer more than met the requirements, yet SWG always seemed to run like crap. The graphics were terrible, the areas were way too big and way too plain. I could literally feel this game dying before it began. Worst of all, the interface was impossible to deal with and most of the time you felt completely lost. This was a total failure by Sony, and if you want a decent Star Wars MMO check out Bioware's SWTOR. This is a prime example of why subscription fees don't work for most games. @babaganush - I understand and respect your opinion but please realize also that my review is based on the game when it was initially released. I had to dish out a decent chunk of change and the end result at that point was a huge letdown. I never played any of the future updates or patches, so I cannot comment on this.

This is especially disappointing because the game has amazing graphics and the combat is fun if that is what you prefer. Beyond these two points though, there isn't much **** here, and it is a chore overall to play. Besides the fact that I am not a big MMO RPG fan, the overall presentation of this game is still a let down to any die hard Dragon Age fan that fell in love with Origins. One day I envision a DA game that will live up to its' expectations, a true fantasy RPG with a good story, not a mmo-like sandbox that sends me all over collecting blankets or doing other useless chores that aren't even fun.

Besides a few setbacks XCOM 2 is fun to play and brings back some memories of the Final Fantasy Tactics days. The customization and building of your ship and team is spot on and I love how I can formulate a group from all over the world. A few annoyances though include the countdown timer on most missions, which can be disabled with a mod. Also, the game can be quite difficult and punishing, one wrong move and a major party member can die permanently, and many times you get screwed on percentages of landing attacks. lastly I believe Project Avatar builds up too fast and causes you to rush around in certain instances. Overall though I am glad I gave XCOM 2 a try because it offered something different that requires a bit of cleverness.

Glad I did because even single player is fun, I was hooked all the way until high level and a full set of legendary items. I didn't think I would enjoy the graphics as much as I did, but they fit in well with this game and most of the scenery is cool to look at. The extras and secrets are rewarding and fun to go after and the boss fights are sometimes challenging. The map layouts and higher difficulty play can get a bit repetitive, but it never really gets in the way of the enjoyment factor. There are also mods available that make the adventure more interesting and co-op play is fun as well.

I am a classic Zelda fan so the more vintage Ocarina of Time story and environment is what I prefer, but many play style elements in OOT are improved. I do not like being timed or the childish aspect of many of the masks, but the puzzles and dungeons are so well made it overshadows these minor flaws. I will start off by saying that alot of die hard FF fans may not get attached to this game, but IMO it definitely has its' own unique identity that is worth observing. FF 1 - FF 9 will always be a special set for me and I consider these "classic," but like FF10 this game brings something different and interesting. First, FF12 does look pretty nice on the PS2 and I do enjoy the new combat system where it is not as turn-based and you can move around while attacking. Also, even though the maps aren't completely non-linear, they do a much better job compared to 10 and 10-2. This game is a challenge for sure, you will get stuck in certain places and have to train to progress. There is nothing wrong with this, its the way the game is meant to be. Anyone remember how hard FF1 was at first? It was actually unbearable at certain points :) FF 12 brings in fresh ideas, but I am not a huge fan of the crystarium leveling and I think this is where I miss the other games the most. There are many people though that really enjoy this system, you may be one of them! I also have to say that I am really not a fan of the time spent on Cocoon, kind of a slow start to a FF game and this is the linear part of the game. If you are a fan of the series though, I believe they did make some improvements but they can even take it further.

I was a huge fan of Diablo 2(thousands of hours), and everyone with experience knows this game does not live up to it as a successor. With that being said, for the money compared to other games, Diablo 3 still provided alot of entertainment for the buck. This is especially true if you like the current format of the game, which includes clearing rifts for the best time, a competitive addition. This includes the fact that the game overall is short, less than 10 hours for a full play through, and several of the missions were outright annoying and poorly designed in my opinion. The sound effects and music meet expectations but the voice sound is sometimes hard to hear and understand because it gets muffled by other noises or your location relevant to the person talking. I was a huge fan of SimCity 4 and have been searching for a modern city builder that could satisfy my simulation needs for quite some time. I am thrilled that I discovered this game after being let down by Cities XL, and extremely let down by the new SimCity. Cities Skylines is a fun, detailed, and somewhat realistic city builder that brings back many good qualities of past games and adds many new features. You can zone industrial and commercial areas to make certain goods to meet trading demands and use natural resources. There are many different types of transportation and flow very well with the city when properly implemented. You can make very large cities with populations in the hundreds of thousands, and the graphics overall are very neat to look at, especially in cinematic view. A few things I would have like to see different but aren't major flaws include not much interaction with citizens/automobiles on the road, the time settings aren't different enough, and building can go by rather slow depending on the status of your city. Overall though this is a must play if you enjoy city simulation games, I have spent many hours on my city, and plan to continue with all the amazing mods and add-ons that are available.

I have spent a great deal of time with this game, thousands of hours I am sure, and even though it has flaws(some that make you want to break things at times), it is still the most addictive game I have ever played. You can view my profile to see my gaming history, I feel my opinion here is pretty valid. I can't really explain the depth with PoE, you will have to play it for a while to experience it, but this is definitely a game for hardcore gamers in the ARPG field. The way items drop, how the economy works, and crafting, all make for a wonderfully challenging and time consuming experience. The skill tree is of course incredible and the amount of builds are endless. This is the first 10 I have given in a long time but I do feel it is necessary to say that this game is not perfect. I give it a 10 because although it is not perfect, the amount of entertainment (play time) I have received is beyond any other game and it has all been for free. In the future I hope to see improvements with the servers in general, including lag, disconnections, and desync. There also needs to be more end-game content, I have consistently ranked in the top 20 on ladder seasons but grinding the same four maps is getting a little stale ;x All-in-all though if you are an ARPG or Diablo fan this game is a must try!!!!!! I have been playing Dishonored non-stop for the past week, it is extremely refreshing and a blast to play. You definitely see the Bethesda elements here and damn are they good. This game is by no means perfect but it brings a new twist to gaming that I think most anyone will enjoy. - Story (8): the story gets going right away and I don't want to spoil anything so I won't go into details. It is easy to follow, at times a bit bland and similar to other things we've seen, but it keeps you going. The conversations and voice acting are great and the plot can change depending on your choices/actions. - Graphics (8): The Graphics are not the strong point of Dishonored, but they get the job done and present the Victorian style scenery very well. London in this time period is an ideal place for this game and even though it won't stress your card the graphics and surroundings **** you in and make you feel directly involved. - Sound (10): I fully enjoy the background music, voice acting, and all the sound effects from weapons and skills. At times the sound sets a dreary mood and makes the whole thing more enticing. - Gameplay (10): An absolute 10 here, the gameplay is truly awesome and the best aspect of Dishonored. Whether you want to be "stealthy" or not, you are presented with numerous options and abilities that alter your course in the game. Duel wielding weapons, skills such as blink where you can travel to spots unreachable by jumping, or the many bone charms that give you other special perks, all of it is useful and rewarding. Finding schematics and applying upgrades is also extremely pleasing, along with powering up skills depending on what works for you. Depending on how you choose to play there are tons of pathways and choices at your disposal. - Endgame (8): Other than replaying for a different style of play I'd say that the endgame is a bit lacking. I really wish Dishonored was longer and took many hours to complete but that's just not the case. You will find yourself finishing in 10-15 hours and feeling pretty satisfied after your first play through, except if you went totally "non-stealth" and desire to do so. Overall (44/50 = 9): I am certainly glad I purchased Dishonored for the PC and played it all the way through. The entire time it felt rewarding and I loved sneaking my way to the next area and planning my next move.

I don't care if it is 100 years from now, I will still enjoy playing this game, it is THAT good. There's basically an unlimited amount of characters you can use, until your screen fills up, and each character can select from over 20 different classes and learn numerous abilities. There is so much content available it is amazing, and it plays like a 3D tactical board game. The first time I saw it in action I was completely HOOKED, all I wanted to do was get Ramza to master a monk, ninja, and then a samurai. Seriously folks, this is one of the funnest games ever made, and takes true tactics and skill to progress. Even though the graphics aren't marvelous, they certainly suffice, the experience here is absolutely one of a kind. If you like any FF, strategy, or even board game, I HIGHLY reccommend playing this, your in for a real treat. Also, you can literally pick this game up at any time and play it is so intriguing. A marvelous introduction to an epic series. When Mass Effect launched it brought us a visually stunning sci-fi action role-playing game that was unlike any other experience. I really enjoy how the original has more RPG elements than later titles, with more story line choices and customization, and squadmates have an inventory. The weapon/armor choices and upgrades are the best the series has to offer. The only thing that sets the original back from the second and third is the combat. Mass Effect's battles don't feel as smooth, especially aiming and the use of skills. Also, having unlimited ammo actually makes the game feel less realistic. It is although important to mention that the first is the most challenging in my opinion, where I found myself dying even on normal difficulty. I was off to a slow start, in the vault and still not knowing what to expect. Once I moved out of the vault and into the world, that's when it all began. By "it all" I mean a truly wonderful gaming experience. Fallout 3 did for me what no other games have in a while, get my full attention and for a continuously long time. This was the first title I played where I could make multiple choices that would lead to many different consequences. Also, you can play it in first or third person so it's like a FPS / Action RPG all-in-one . This game was amazingly fun, going around D.C. which really looked and felt like a post-apocalypse world. Incredibly rewarding, scary, and VERY satisfying are the words that come to mind. It was great exploring to collect new guns and bottle caps, trading and buying at the store, and leveling your character. You eventually become very powerful and able to basically run the city. This game brought me into the next level of PC gaming, and I am still thanking it and Bethesda to this day.

If your PC can graphically handle the Witcher 2, you will experience some of the best visuals to date. Be forewarned that this is not an easy task, the game has some of the most demanding requirements. I did not play the original Witcher so I really didn't know what to expect, what a pleasant surprise this game is! -- Story (9): The beginning is a little slow but once your rolling the Witcher 2 has an extremely rewarding story, strengthened by some of the best voice acting I've seen. Your character, the Witcher, is kick ass and his personality and actions are epic. -- Graphics (10): If your machine is adequate, this game has some of the best graphics around. Better than Skyrim on max settings , the visuals are breathtaking, every city and surrounding area is a pleasure to look at. -- Sound (9): The environments, the voice acting, and the effects from spells, skills, and fighting all sound really pleasing. Your character also participates in conversations, making the whole experience more realistic. -- Gameplay (10): Even though everything else here is so good, the gameplay is where the Witcher 2 shines. Some of the best controls I've used for an action RPG, they are extremely smooth very adaptable. The fighting is also superb, addressing all the problems presented in games such as Skyrim. No more generic 3rd person hack and slash, your moves are fluent and responsive. This game also presents a challenge, be prepared to save, die and try again. -- Endgame (8): Multiplayer support would have been great but it's such an epic single player experience that it suffices. There have been numerous support updates and an "Enhanced Edition" with more content is now offered. You will be very satisfied with the starting content itself, this is an adventure that will take some time and effort. Overall The Witcher 2 has been an extremely refreshing addition to the "action-RPG" genre and will make for an extremely awesome addition to your gaming collection. -- Overall: (9)

This game was disappointing to me overall, showing that Final Fantasy may never return to its' epic roots. FF 13 feels more like a generic Devil May Cry than it does a FF. The game is extremely linear once again but even worse than 10/10-2, the story is bland and some of the characters are extremely annoying. This really hurts because as a kid I absolutely loved FF 1-9, and ever since 9 its has been steadily going downhill. I could name a few positives, the graphics look very nice and battle system is different but actually really fun to use.

Since I don't own a PS3 this is my only option for a baseball game. Although it's definitely not on par with MLB the Show, I do not think 2K12 is a terrible game. Presentation (8): The franchise mode has tons of options as usual and season mode is also more flexible. Graphics (6): Although 2K12 has improved lighting and graphics from previous titles, some animations are lacking and not nearly as smooth as they should be. The crowd is pretty detailed but limited in textures. Sound (5): The game sounds decent in surround but the commentators seriously lack variety after a while. This is a issue I've had with every 2K12 title. Gameplay (6): Pitchers have a new throwing system and hitting has new variations with more realism. The mechanics do seriously lack though in comparison with The Show, fielding at times is unresponsive and pitching gets tedious after a while. The AI is slightly improved as well but still nowhere near where it should be. Endgame (7): Not a whole lot more content from previous titles, but 2K12 still offers trading, drafting, and adjusting rosters, so if you enjoy building your own team this game is worth a shot. It is sad to hear that this will be the final game and the series is retiring, someone needs to step up to the plate because I crave a good baseball game for the PC. Overall: (6)

Yes, I finally get to review a game and give it under a 4! Long story short, I am a huge RPG/Final Fantasy gamer, I have a lot of respect for FF 1-9, and for others on PS2 and XBox. Please check my reviews as I love the series and give my intake on a few, my lowest game is a 4, and that is SWG. Sadly though, there is one game that I thank my brother for showing me before I almost spent real $ on it, and that would be Final Fantasy 14 Online. I will say right now there are only a few other times in my entire life where I saw my bro so upset, after 1 hour of playing he was appalled that he spent money on this game. After witnessing it as well I felt genuinely sorry for him and told him I would try not to laugh about it. I know this is a superbly late review but I am new to reviewing so here it is. I have no idea what the creators of this game were thinking, releasing it in this condition. Also, having the nerve to charge more money for a supposed "exclusive pack" + $12.99 a month subscription. They refused to refund either of the 2 months that he paid for in advance and definitely didn't want to use. He literally paid $111 to dry dump a mushroom for an hour and a half. This game is a broken piece of trash and honestly I think all players deserve a FULL REFUND!!!

I will have to admit I was extremely skeptical that this game would be better than the original Starcraft. After its release and playing for an extraordinary amount of time, I can say that SC2 is an amazing game. It is fair to also assess that it is the same level of quality as the original. This is an exceptional level of quality because Starcraft is truly in my opinion Blizzard's gem and a revolution in pc gaming. Let it be known that there are people who devote their lives to this game, expect to get schooled in multi-player. If you do play for a while though, practice makes perfect, you will improve significantly over time. SC2 is remarkably flexible and balanced and every battle is a fight to the end. There are so many different strategies at your disposal, and even if you don't want to fight others you can team up against the computer or join one of the HUNDREDS of AWESOME UMS games that are provided. UMS for those who don't know means USE MAP SETTINGS, and is pretty much where the players create a map for others to play. I absolutely love defense UMS games such as turret defense, they are so simple yet totally satisfying. You will need a good PC to run SC2 on FULL settings, but if you qualify the reward is terrific. Blizzard truly did an excellent job making this game a successful predecessor to one of the best games ever made, too bad that didn't happen with Diablo 3 :)

I never thought in a million years that my most played PS2 title would be a snowboarding game, but to my surprise it pretty much was. SSX was truly a good game, the unrealistic aspect of it made the experience even more fun and to this day this is one of the better PS2 titles. The best part of the game was learning and performing new tricks, tied in with some sweet maps. Even though I didn't own any of the predecessors, I've seen Tricky and SSX 3 and they are both worthy of the name and add some meaningful content.

I'd have to say that out of all the Blizzard titles I've owned, Warcraft was the least intriguing. I did however buy WC3 being a fanatic of Starcraft, and had mixed feelings. Looking beyond the flaws WC3 is a very well made strategy game. The races are extremely balanced and you have a lot of build options. The single-player is not what sold me so I didn't end up finishing, but my friends really enjoyed it. I will however say that this game is a gem online. There are a variety of different types of games, and this is where the birth of "turret defence" took place. I will always love Starcraft and Warcraft for the UMS (use map settings) feature, it adds so much possibility to the game.

This is the first and only Battefield I owned for PC, and while I had it I wasn't disappointed. This game was very refreshing because unlike shooters in the past you could really take advantage of and use vehicles. This is what makes this game, rolling around in a tank to stomp the enemy or get em' from a far in a plane. This was the first successful attempt at an online-mulitplayer FPS war sim and the battles that ensued were epic at times. Battlefield definitely has a learning curve, you will die a lot more than you kill starting off, but once you've trained a bit you'll be ready to go.

Like I said, this game is not for everybody, but if you can handle the action you'll have **** time.

For a good 3D game similar to Super Mario 64 it sits well, for a follow up to Donkey Kong Country... not so much. I am a huge fan of the Donkey Kong Country series, DK 64 takes it in a different direction and overall does a decent job. Story (8): Same ol' good ol' story here of King K being a banana thief and reacking havoc on DK's life. Graphics (9) Damn good, pretty much the best 64 has to offer. The island is pretty cool, does feel a bit like DKC and has some rich areas. Sound (8): Some of the music and sounds bring back memories and some other music is pretty mediocre. Gameplay (9): Definitely a fun game to play, the controls are nice and the areas are diverse. There is actually a lot to do, you can interact with other characters as you progress and they can unlock different content for you. Endgame (8): The game is fairly large, and there are a lot of extra things to collect and areas to explore. You will notice as you travel many areas are off-limits at first but open up later. Overall Nintendo did a pretty good job bringing us back DK and his friends. I personally prefer DK in a 3D platform enviroment, but if you like open world exploring games such as Mario 64 or Banjo Kazooie, this games absolutely worth a shot. Overall: 8

If you love Super Mario 64, I bet you'll heart this as well. Even though Banjo Kazooie can be a bit childish at times, it is actually a fun and rewarding game that surprises even the biggest critics. Story (7): could be better, this is where the childish aspect shines. The witch is pretty annoying and the least bit scary. Graphics (9): For its time Banjo Kazooie offered some of the richest graphics. The world diversity is similar to Mario 64, and in some parts is even more detailed. Sound (7): Some of the environments sound ok but most of the music and noises get repetitive. Gameplay (9): Feels similar to Mario 64 with a little more diversity, being able to play as 2 characters. You will notice the controls are rather responsive. The game-play surprisingly is where this game shines, the world is fun to explore and collect the extras. Endgame: (8) The game will take some time to complete, and there is a lot of secrets to go after. Some sort of multi-player support would have been nice. Overall Banjo Kazooie was a worthwhile experience, and even though the witch was annoying she sure was a ***** to kill at the end. Overall: 8

This review is for the SNES version of Yoshi's Island, that is the one I owned, as you can't rate it on metacritic (put snes games back plz). Yoshi's Island was a follow up to Super Mario World, and set aside the crying mario this game was very good. The levels were fun and in it was rewarding to try to clear 100% on them. The artwork was actually pretty neat for its time and the bosses were really cool. All around I enjoyed this game very much when I was younger, can't say the same for Yoshi's Story though, YIKES!

Outdoing the original Half-Life is no easy task, but I am happy to report that Valve has succeeded in exactly that. Half-Life 2 is a breathtaking FPS that will have you on the edge of your PC chair from start to finish. Story: (10) Just as good as the first, Gordon is one of the best characters ****. There are even a few unexpected twists and parts that are actually scary. Graphics: (10) Some of the best available when released, this game looks awesome on full settings and still respectable today. Sound: (10) Best of the best sound effects and background music. The soundtrack is definitely worth checking out. Gameplay: (9) Just as good as the first, if not better. There are several challenging areas and some of the boss fights are epic. The shooting feels more accurate and I must say the AI in this game is incredible. Endgame: (8) It is fun to go through again on harder difficulties but I would have loved to see some sort of multi-player support besides deathmatch. Overall if you are a PC gamer you CANNOT pass this game up. Just the story alone is enough to keep you going and the suspense builds at every corner. Still to this day the graphics hold up really nice and the source engine is smooth and a blast to play. Overall: 9

What I desperatly needed was something positive and refreshing on the PS2, and my desires were fulfilled with Devil May Cry. I still believe to this day that this game is Capcom's gem and a brilliant title all around. The dark, Gothic appeal to this game is finely presented and Dante is one bad ass character. The weapons are another huge plus, upgrades and perks add a lot of content and makes it all worth your time. Devil May Cry isn't the longest game but extra difficulties are rewarding and worth attempting. This game is what PS2 badly needed, a gem action title with the potential for sequels.

I've played the original Metroid for SNES but Prime was the first I've owned. Let's just say Nintendo did an excellent job with this remake, it feels exactly how a Metroid should feel. The graphics and gameplay are the best GameCube has to offer, and the world this game creates is pretty intimidating. Like it should be this game is very challenging and some of the puzzles will take some time and patience. This is one of the only games that can literally "freak you out." Some of the enemies are really tough but a few are REALLY annoying, including metroid. When I got to the point in the game where you have to fight metroid, my satisfaction with this game took a hit. I can't stress enough how annoying these guys are, but after a while you get used to fighting them. Overall Metroid Prime is a great game and one of the best the GC has to offer, just be ready to get occasionally flustered.

This game is pretty satisfactory overall with a few flaws here an there, but if you liked the previous MP games you'll like this as well. To start off, the damn game is about 26 gigs, which is bigger than GW2! Secondly, you will need a pretty damn good computer to run it, I am using a Geforce 670 SLI and it runs perfectly smooth. If you have the space and good enough card, this is a unique shooter in that it allows you of course to slow down the scene and carefully plan shots. This makes for a lot of fun, but to be honest, after about 6-7 hours the game seems to get a bit repetitive. Max Payne 3 will only take you 9-10 hours tops on normal, and maybe a little longer on harder difficulties. I will admit right now there are 5 difficulties and the hardcore and old school are no joke. Overall I still don't understand why this game is so big in file size, the graphics do look nice but not 26 GB nice. This game really is a personal preference, hit or miss for people.

I have put a serious amount of time in both this game and RCT2. I can firmly say that both games are tremendously fun and addicting, but I think they could have taken 3 even further. RC3 has updated graphics, but it would have been amazing to see a more "serious" and "realistic" look rather than the "cartoonish" environment. I do thoroughly enjoy the "on ride" first person camera view, it makes you able to experience your park first hand. The rides overall are pretty cool but again I would have liked to see a more realistic detail. What RC3 did get right was the mechanics. They are terrific, taking ideas from RC2 and making them even better. Budgeting is as fun and challenging as ever, and some scenarios worth exploring. I do enjoy RC3, there is also loads of content available online including fully made parks. I do have a little more love overall for RC2, only due to the originality and extreme customization and modding. I would absolutely love to see another Rollercoaster Tycoon, they are truly fun and addicting, and better yet if it had a more "serious" and "realistic" design it could be my favorite game ever.

All around a sick game I just would rather play it on the PC. I did own San Andreas for PS2 as it was my only option, and I'd say the big downfall besides graphics is load time. This game is massive though, and so large that it is one of the few games I've owned and not completed. At release this was the best GTA available, the graphics and gameplay were improved over Vice City. I do recommend though that you experience the Grand Theft Auto series on your PC if possible, but you do need a kick ass machine. I currently use a GeForce 670 SLI and no joke I still get minor frame rate issues with GTA 4.
