If someone owns Metro: Last Light, there's absolutely no reason to buy the Redux version. Graphically its the very same game, while the DLC content and the Survival/Spartan mode are not enough to justify this new release and the 20 euros price, even with the differentiation the later offers to the gameplay. On the other hand, whoever hasn't played the original game yet, has another good reason to do it now.
The game becomes much more of a survival-horror title with the new available options, and if you’re new you can try both styles and decide for yourself. Otherwise, there’s really no reason to prefer the original over this remastering.
It certainly rides on the coattails of 2033 Redux’s release, but it’s still incredibly fun. If anything, it’s a testament to how much fun Last Light was to begin with.

Metro Last Light follows up from the first game, Metro 2033, where Artyom's story continues. When I finished Metro 2033, the first thing I did was to download this game because of how much I was immersed in the storyline and the atmosphere of this series. Last Light properly follows up the first game with a solid job, so let's talk about it a bit **** I said in my review for Metro 2033, the greatest strengths of Metro games are the storyline and the atmosphere. Last Light continues this pattern from the first game. I wouldn't say it introduces a brand new idea, but more so follows up from the books with the story of Artyom. It's weird that some people think this is bad, since they expect a new thing every single game within a series, but sometimes what you need is a solid game that can pickup the storyline from the previous game and continue it without issues. Last Light does the job with that. We get to play outside a bit more as well compared to the first game as we get to see what really happened out there. Action is one thing I wished they would have improved on. Spending 3 years to develop this next game, it was clear to see the main improvement point of the first game, but the developers didn't seem to get that too much. It's pretty much the same as the first game, with repeating patterns as you play through. If you worry about action mechanics a bit much, you may be disappointed with this **** other things are quite similar to the first game. It's almost a copy paste of Metro 2033, with only the storyline changing the most radical. Overall, it's a good game. However, I feel like there was potential to do more with this one with the time they had to develop this game. Story is the main focus of Metro series, but what makes a game great is the ability to keep a high level in all aspects of gameplay.

Still as atmospheric and impressively grim as it was last year, but inessential if you have the original.

Muy buen juego, una historia que te atrapa, aunque a veces un poco oscuro. Recomendable jugar con audífonos, ya que se vuelve más inmersivo.

I realise all these caveats render a scored review somewhat meaningless, so the takeaway message is this; if you've never played Last Light, you should – it's an excellent game, and you should opt for this version. If you've already played it, however, you don't need to upgrade.

Nada nuevo con respecto al primero. Si lo vas a jugar porque te dijeron que necesitas hacerlo para entender el Metro exodus... mejor mira un video en YouTube resumiendo la historia porque sino lo vas a odiar a la franquicia.

Super lineal game with a disappointing story and ending. Graphics and animations are quite bad. Most of the game you're in stealth but not so many stealth mechanics were developed, just don't stay in the light feature. You can't move corpses, the NPCs AI is not well implemented to patrol, search, ... NPCs can see you from 1 km away, no killing animations. The monsters are bullet sponges at the point that you doubt if you really can kill them. Even worse because some are really immortal and you never know. No information at all about the weapons. No stats, or something to compare weapons and know wich one is better. You need to realize about the mods by sight in a small draw were you can barely differentiate a silencer from an extended cannon. No weapon names being shown, so you don't really know what you're picking up, and some weapons are too similar to realize it. Completely broken morale system. Having different endings based not in your decisions but in random events like listening NPCs conversations when the game doesn't teach you about this system is just stupid. The only good point is the immersion. Small details like the lighter, compass, watch and gas mask implementation makes you feel like you're there and need to use real gadgets to do your job.
