Heaps of new content provides hours of fun, even though the campaign could use a little extension. But if you’re a fan, this is a must. [Issue#241]

Blizzard did the obvious: literally transformed Diablo 3 to what it should have been from the start. It took them some time, but finally Blizzard got the message and moved finally to the right direction. While we expect the next expansion, fans of action / rpg can now sleep peacefully ... the king is here!

Fantastic game. Brought back the dark fantasy into Diablo. I loved it. And I love it now!

While Reaper of Souls didn’t hit with me the way the original game did, it still was a blast to play and added a lot of cool new things. The crusader class was another really fun playing class that the game needed, especially after spending so much time with all of the other ones, it felt fresh. This also added a fifth act, which was great, and Rifts, which were super fun and the new way to gear, along with adventure mode. They fixed a lot of look issues and made it make more sense, which was great, but maybe this could have been a hotfix beforehand. It still offered the same great gameplay and revitalized the game for a bit. Honestly, thinking back, both of these are firmly merged together in my head as one game now, so it’s a bit hard to separate the two. But, I do remember how much the loot system changed and how much better it made the game in general. Even if spamming Rifts could get a bit tedious, that is why you were there, for the grind. It also improved a lot of builds and gear and farming those set pieces was really fun. Your character felt completely different and way more powerful after getting your build’s set pieces and that was super rewarding. It might be a bit simple by today’s standards, but, I bet Reaper of Souls still holds up.

The past week of my life has been devoted to the Reaper of Souls and I have to say it wasn’t easy getting out of the game. The damn thing had me hooked so bad I had to explain my mysterious absence to all my friends and family.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls is a great experience and an excellent add-on to Diablo III. With the Adventure mode and Nephalem's Rift, Blizzard erases almost perfectly every inherent problems of Hack'n Slash games. It's actually quite difficult to find real defects in this add-on.

The good news is that players whose gaming palates DO lean toward slaying nightmarish minions with tongue-twisting weapons are finally getting the game they probably wished Diablo III was to begin with.

The game Diablo III should have been from the start, and an absolute must for anyone who likes Diablo. With the massive injection of new content and total renovation of several core systems, Reaper of Souls in many ways feels fresher than Diablo III did two years ago.

It’s really only giving fans of the original a few more toys to play with. Unfortunately, the $40 price of admission weighs heavy on this title, and the sparse new content doesn’t quite justify it. In short, if you weren’t a huge Diablo III fan then Reaper of Souls won’t change your mind. However, if you enjoyed the original then Reaper of Souls adds a new class, several new environments, and a bunch of replay value.

I liked the story and the graphics, but despite increasing the difficulty to hard, it still was very easy and I couldn't increase it more without re-starting the campaign.

RoS fixed many of the problems of Vanilla D3, but the core issue still remains. The game is simply boring. Looting items is an unrewarding experience, identifying legendaries is as exciting as opening and closing a door. Rifts and Bounties are interesting at first, but later on they become a chore. On top of that, in the next year they'll add a new class: the Necromancer, in what they call a class pack. Thanks Blizzard, we have to pay 20$ to do the same mind-numbing, boring grind with a new class. Just abandon this mess and focus on making D4.

After patch 2.2.0 I would still not recommend this game as there are now better games with the same gameplay, however it is better with the patch they released April 7th. It shows they still are working on it and not just threw it to the side. Thank you Blizzard.
