A great sekiro-esque hack & slash, a little bit of RPG elements, etc. I have not played anything else since release. Some things kind of bug me a bit, the soundtrack is great but the majority of vocal songs don't work on a loop, and maybe the dialogue is a little bit emotionless. I am inclined to switch to Korean voiceover instead, lastly the censorship in which shift up lied about is unacceptable. Neoliberal fascists ruin everything.

Good FPS horror game, bad DOOM game. You basically play as a random space marine and not even the infamous "BJB/doomguy". Those things alone would probably make it a bad game overall, BUT DOOM 3 does horror better than the modern revival of horror games out now. It has some really awful character lighting/models, but the demons (not the human mutants) look ok. Sign of the times I guess.

Watching gameplay of this game does not do it justice, and it is a lot more fun to play. With that said, there are some rather annoying things due to "dated" shooter mechanics, and the fact that you're a robot that weighs a ton. Enemies that throw grenades and machine gun nests seem to be annoying when you're starting out too.

Bad propaganda probably made by AI, seriously... the entirety of this new trilogy storyline makes all the Western nations the bad guys and does nothing to make you care about the [legal under international law] retaliation from the Russians. What really takes the cake is this game is blatant false advertising. It is a scam, it is a rushed expansion pack with no platinum trophy, Multiplayer is... ruined by AI bots/EOMM/SBMM (with some design choices I dislike, Ghost should be the non-movement version because there is insane UAV spam, and COLD BLOODED DOESN'T WORK! Zombies is honestly the best thing in this package. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, and a whole lot of filler content to level up weapons in peace. There are a lot of bugs, that were not there in the beta... yet the game feels as if it was glued together at a children's arts and crafts event... and certainly for an AI that is only a few years old... that is probably what you should expect. The developers hate all Russians like the previous two games and have a track record of only showcasing flags of oppressive regimes, purely fascist and NOT bastions of "democracy", and with a history of human rights abuses (i.e: Israel, Ukraine, USA, Canada, United Kingdom (England), Australia, New Zealand) NATO ARE NOT THE GOOD GUYS. I cannot justify this game being $70/$120 for bad storytelling, repeating "missiles and gas" over and over again, and warzone training. There is a mission you can spawn an APC with a turret which obviously you cannot even use to the full extent of it's potential. Lastly, they have AI speech police which is incapable of understanding logic, context, and racial language cues - so what you essentially have is a fascist robot that will ban you for any little thing. Don't use game chat. Period. This is unforgivable and I would ask for a refund if I could.

Pretty low for Konami to release an incomplete compilation of Kojima's work, let alone an incomplete compilation of the franchise. Secondly, much of the games included are lower quality versions from emulators. A remaster of the HD collection would have been a better choice. People who buy this probably were struggling with demons of being mad at Konami for doing Kojima wrong, or wanting to play the games again IF you don't have a PS3 anymore, and well if that's you... I guess it's a justifiable purchase. I can't give this compilation anything higher than a 5.

My real gripe with the game is more or less the coop/random matchmaking stuff. A pretty cool cyberpunk OG fps / movement shooter, a little bit conservative on when levels give you additional weapons (a la Quake I: E2M1). Enemies have weak spots, health bars, and flash when they enter a mode you can use finishers on and drop ammo/hp/armour/adrenaline (DOOM remake mechanic) which you use to enter slow motion mode. Soundtrack has songs reminiscent of Ghost in the Shell as well.

Updated review: Multiplayer is hit and miss and entirely dependent on good connection, some latency just ruins the online experience. Additionally, the seasonal updates haven't started, and there's nothing to grind the in-game currency for... it has potential to be fun, still. But lack of updates has really hindered this game. I'm inclined to say this is in a state like Cyberpunk 2077 in 2020. Yikes. It's AEW's first major console game & YUKE's expertise comes from the N64 arcade style wrestling games, which is forgiveable that it isn't a simulator game. Controls are easy to pick up but hard to master, I had to change the running controls to L2 and do training to figure out how to play. The default controls are not the best, and I would recommend changing them. This base game is NOT perfect, and there are glaring features missing upon launch. Difficulty is not scaled correctly IMHO, a 1v1 can be beaten on elite relatively easy, but a 4v4 on easy or normal will kick your butt. There is very limited voice acting for the story, and if you're wanting depth it's not there. Road to Elite basically exists to level up your Create a Wrestler, unlock the photo postcards, and convert your rewards to the grindable currency. It's a relatively short experience, and worthy of your time atleast once a week. Most of the minigames are cool, PENTA says is probably the hardest one to master. The weapon list and the overall craziness from all the matches with no disqualification is fantastic. There are 4-5 moves in the move list that just don't work, and need to be fixed ASAP. The Create a Wrestler & Arena modes are lacking in features and NEED an online ecosystem to keep the game alive. The in-game store is lacking in content currently, but will be updated in the future. Additionally, most clothing options and hair need an overhaul in colour selection. (It probably won't happen so it's unfortunate) In closing, the real draw to this over the WWE2K series is the gameplay.

Initially I thought it would be a dry story because I don't like medieval setting games, but it deserves a 7 for a medieval anti-imperialist plot, it's pretty cool for the modern action RPG style combat system, maybe lacks in summons but that's just me. World tour is a bit odd... Essentially you are a bully who can pick fights with random civilians throughout the game on your road to leveling up, it's logic is weird and I guess you're just supposed to pay no attention to the random grannies you decide to beat up. I am not a huge fan of the day one roster, but maybe after "super deluxe edition EX" it would be in a state that is acceptable for purchase. The controls are obscene in my honest opinion, I am not at all a good fighter game player anymore but removing the skillgap on purpose so people could hold a button down and do all their moves is the worst idea I have ever seen. Online is online, if you can't emulate a stable connection, or have ranked protection for DDOS/adversary rage quits, etc. - if you cannot create a fair playing field, then you deserve a fail. I hate all games with online latency for fighters. so I prefer the arcade/LAN/splitscreen competitions only. Skins locked behind annoying gatekeeper mechanics or spend money lol.

So I wasted $20 on this game (and returned it) a few months ago, but when it was available for PS+ I decided to give it another try. This latest update has put it in a passable state and it is much better now. With that said, I don't think it does enough to make you WANT to play it because I haven't played it in two months..., the plot is nonsensical and was clearly abandoned while they tried to save the game from it's demise. Nopats (non patriated forces) were supposed to make this game essentially a PMC warzone, with the inclusion of "hero-shooter mechanics" a la Overwatch, but was pigeonholed into factions of US v RU which is the antithesis of the entire game. This design choice was done deliberately to sell battlepasses and cosmetics, and it did not work. Lastly, Battlefield 2042 should have launched in a finished state, not early access. And that is a trend that will continue if you support EA and DICE in the future. This franchise is irreparably damaged and should be avoided.

Perfection and incredible care taken to realize J.K. Rowling's vision. With that said, people will nitpick the game's "lack of combat diversity" because it's mostly ranged attacks because you are a witch/wizard. Additionally, the character customization is fantastic but the voice options really only consist of male/female and the pitch shifting is not necessary because then you sound like a robot. They should have hired additional voice actors to act the script so you would have options to choose a voice that suits you.
