Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem

Serious Sam Siberian Mayhem won’t scratch the itch for something new, but if you’re craving a fix of some chaotic FPS goodness, it certainly hits the spot without overstaying its welcome.

A new Serious Sam game! And guess what? You get exactly what you’d expect! Siberian Mayhem is a mindless fragfest that does not overstay its welcome. Just a shame that graphics also seems to be coming from 10 years ago.

More of the traditional Serious Sam gameplay that gets to the point faster than the main game, whereas it still runs poorly.

There’s little that’s particularly groundbreaking in Serious Sam’s brand of predictability, but there’s also comfort to be found. As Sam said, the fights are their own rewards, after all.

While it does not dramatically change the radical dinosaur that is Serious Sam 4, it does provide more unbridled carnage that defines the series – just now with a distinctly Russian flavour. Blasting enemies with dual-wielded AK-47’s and joking about vodka define the experience, and while it may not appeal to everyone, I know a lot of us will get a kick out of it.

Serious Sam - Siberian Mayhem is an insanely driving and cool action game that ends exactly when you already want to take a break from the constant screams of opponents, pieces of meat that fill up the monitor and special effects. Siberian Mayhem brings absolutely nothing new to the genre - in fact, the game quite successfully steps on the same rake that the original Serious Sam 4 went on. However, they managed to make a good game that is just fun to play.

We all know what a Serious Sam game has to offer in terms of gameplay when we sign for it, and Siberian Mayhem delivers, but with technical glitches and general low performances that are not acceptable.

This game is pure fun. It is fast, has enough gadgets for its play time, and manages to keep you entertained for the time you play it. You can finish it in about 6 hours or so if you do all of the sidequests. Sidequests are ignorable if you just want to quickly finish the game but I would really suggest you to finish them since they provide some good extra content. I must warn you, this game is pure fon and nothing more than that. So, don't keep your expectations high.

level designs were not as good as the serious Sam 4. I couldn't even see the end. maybe I will try to give a second chance in the future but I dont think so
