Marvel's Spider-Man 210
Oct 22, 2023
This is absolutely amazing. A genuine experience. Its bordering on being a masterpiece, of storytelling, gameplay, technical and other aspects. That IS IF you can ignore the VERY unfortunate occasional woke rubbish they throw at you. For me, a person that can't stand that kind of thing forced into media, its JUST occasional enough, and the game is so good that, it's relatively easy to look past/ just ignore when it happens. Through gritted teeth, unfortunately. Shouldst though. There really is something special about this game. The love is bleeding out of every single game. Every cut scene, every set piece, every new costume, the love for the source material is extremely evident and this IS the best spider man game to have ever been created. Don't get it wrong. It's just a little unfortunate that marvel as it is today has left its own evident fingerprints on it with the typical box checking, which is exactly how it feels in game as each little w9ke moment happens. Its like a brief check mark should appear at the side of the screen. You'll have to okay to understand exactly what i mean. But that IS how it feels. That's my only criticism. I can't stop playing this game, and frankly don't want to. I suggest, for whoever for whatever reason HASNT played yet, does so on the highest difficulty. It adds hours to the game, and makes every fight a genuinely really fun challenge, forcing the player to utilise the majority of the spidermens abilities in order to edge out what can be genuinely overwhelming amounts of enemies at times. It's at the highest difficulty that you really see what the combat system can do though, and it's that difficult that'll make you LOOK your best in game in terms of style, as it pushed you to use everything at your disposal. I'll say it again, highly recommend you play the highest or atleast second highest difficulty. Everything about this game is better than the first, but I'm only gunna mention one more thing before wrapping this up to go play some more. Traversal. It's been given a beautiful booster shot, and the new options add SO SO MUCH to the power fantasy it's unreal. This can't be overstated. Moving around the city is an absolute dream, and if you're anything like me, you'll lose hours to that alone, attempting to master the mechanics old and new. There are dedicated skill trees to traversal, two i believe. Which is just awesome. So all those that were concerned by the trailers about repeated animations and what not needn't have worried at all. There's SO MUCH NEW HERE. You can DYNAMICALLY SLINGSHOT NOW. Yes you heard that right. Dynamic slingshot is a thing. That sick thing spider man does in the movies that we always wished we could do? That's in the game. Launching yourself half way across the city from a sling of YOUR choosing, with Web placement, elevation and location,of YOUR choosing is absolutely magical for us nerds that have always dreamt of this. And to be honest... that sums this game up. The thing about the slingshot actually being a dynamic part of the game now... really sums this game up. Everything you wanted in a spiderman game, down to the silly little niche nerdy details like that, it's all more or less here. It didn't have to be. But it IS. And that its what makes this game amazing. Its for the fans. And it shows. (Oh, and why the 10 out of 10 you ask? Why, because of dynamic suit damage, as you get hit in fights, and you notice your chosen spider suit get absolutely torn to pieces, until you manually heal, thats is why. Another feature that's been wanted by spider nerds like me forever, and is thoroughly here now, for EVERY DAMN SUIT, ALL THE DANG TIME. ugh). Jokes aside; I'll stop now. I could go on, trust me. About the story telling and how masterful it is and everything else. But i won't. Not about to touch on shoulder territory for those that aren't able to experience this yet. So yes. If you like spiderman, just do the sensible thing.

Incoming spite and review bombs, because the world is genuinely just devoid of joy now. I have no idea how one could play this game and NOT be returned to that nostalgic wonder only experienced in childhood years. That's exactly what's on offer here. And of course, a game this good, attracts angry jaded human beings. If you're still even remotely happy in life, do yourself a favor and pick this up. It will only increase your happiness, as it has mine. During a particularly difficult time in my life, this has been a god send. I adore it. And it has put a smile on my face during a time in which I didn't think it possible. Ignore the ridiculous reviews. Buy the game, realise this is what gaming is all about, and HAVE FUN AGAIN. 10/10 EASY.

(Tl once youre used to the controls, playing factorio portable, from bed, couch, on the go, is amazing.) It's the very same game you get on PC, only without mods (which confuse an already confusing game for most anyway) and the obvious change, controls. This was a worry for me initially, and while it took some time to get used to the new layout, now that I am, it's second nature. Everything else is more or less exactly as youd remember it. Performance is perfectly fine on a mid to high level factory, so far.

okay, elephant in the room, on pc, this game is not working as it should. but its a patch away from being quite possibly one of the greatest games i have ever played. what ive played, thus far, has been absolutely amazing. im totally immersed in this amazing open world. its more than a step up for this genre of game, taking what breath of the wild laid down, and running with it to all new lengths. then, theres the fromsoft formula, which is just flawless, a deep combat system that can be as shallow or in depth as you choose, amazing exploration, caves, dungeons that could honestly be games of their own, theyre better than anythin any other game actually does even when focusing on dungeons alone. this game is amazing. trust me. once this is fixed up a little, we're looking at what is quite possinly the best game in the last 15 years. fromsoft just need to get on that patching game. If you can bare to do it, wait for the game to be patched, especially on pc, before you play. i know youve waited long enough for this game, but a little longer could genuinely make this the experience youve dreamed of and more.

CHECK STEAM REVIEW SCORE FOR REAL REVIEWS. metacritic is just a cesspool lol. Saddens me to see how many trolls have gathered here just because theyre angry they cant have their fortnite skins without paying. The real problem is the playlists. Not some stupid skins and colors. We need playlists, not your pathetic decorations. Also, since when did collectibles and open worlds become and inherently bad thing lol? just because you saddos have sickened yourselves with them by shilling out to ubisoft every time they release a game doesnt mean the rest of us are that dull in the brain. Halo actually does the open world better than any other game, and it does it without actually being and open world lmao. People saying "wah, 9 hour campaign for 60 dollar" are intentionally choosing to leave out the part that this is the play time only if you rush through to missions and play on normal setting. They are doing that because they have an inherent hatred towards the game, and purposely choose to ignore that theres easily 20 hours or more here. which they are well aware of, but why mention that when you can poop on the game in another way. lol. This is easily, EASILY, the best halo game since halo 3. and i dont say that lightly, because i HATED halo 4, 5 and Reach with a passion. Ive been hard on halo because i love it. This game needs some fixes. Mainly multiplayer stuff. Like, how can we not have slayer as a playlist? Other than that, some optimisation problems in the campaign are annoying, considering i run this game on a RTX 3080 and I9 9900k @5.2, It should run a lot better. The gameplay here IS phenomenal. And anybody denying that is just straight up lying in order to make the game look bad, because it makes them feel happy and fulfilled. Its called being toxic. Go outside, catch some sun. The graphics are just outstanding. The sound design is INCREDIBLE. Gun play is better than anything released in the last 10 years. and thats another fact. People complaining about "biomes" are just pathetic. We get given the most interesting, well made open world in years, and all you muppets can think of is "muh biomes" lol. The game is designed so that you can more or less ignore the open world if it isnt your thing, and go straight to the missions which are varied in map design and location. So the crying really is just bored sony ponys looking for a way to try make people feel bad about something they like. Though this game isnt perfect, mainly due to missing content, it deserves far better than it is being given by you lot of miserable souls. In a short time, this game will be the best game on the market, and will further continue to make the PATHETIC releases that are Battlefield and COD look trash. long live the chief! halo is finally back, meet me on multiplayer. ill out BR you because its halo 3 style again baby.

This game makes all previous entries look like they came from the 1800's. An amazing leap for the series, a beautiful experience. Amazing visuals, like you've never seen in a Tales game before. Characters are potentially the best since Symphonia and Vesperia. This is an absolute masterpiece in my eyes and SHOULD be experienced by any JRPG fan. And as for you Tales of fans, you're about to be gifted one of the most mind blowing experiences in your gaming history. This is how you take a franchise into next gen. Everyone else should be taking notes. 10/10

An absolute gem. This is my first Resident Evil game (other than RE2 remake) since RE:4. If this is the direction they're going in with this franchise now, I am so very happy to continue purchasing these games. I'm playing on pc with an RTX 3080 and let me tell you, this might just be the most beautiful game I have ever ever played. Sometimes the hair on the character models can be wonky, but that's the only complaint I have. End of story. The rest of this game is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. The game length is perfect, the combat, graphics, sound design, all perfect. I have verrrrrry few complaints where the actual game is concerned. However, I do have issues with the port itself in terms of UI navigation. Navigating any menu or even the map on mouse and keyboard is awkward and counterintuitive. It works, and I really don't take THAT much issue with it, but it is there. It's workable, I can live with it, but for those that find these things a big issue, it's worth noting. And, so ends my list of complaints for this game. The rest is absolutely amazing and you SHOULD buy it. Seems we have a shortage of good story driven single player games these days. This one makes up for it. 9.5/10, MUST-BUY.

halo reach. The catalyst to bad halo. Armor lock. Sprint. Jet packs.. REALLY? Literally a button that turns you invincible for like half a minute. You get somebody 1 shot, with you being better than them, but it doesnt matter. because they have a get out of jail free button and turn invincible for an hour while their teammate comes around a corner with full shields and finishes you off. HOW IS THAT GOOD TO PEOPLE? how. HOW does this game have a higher user score than halo 3 on this website? please, i mean please. Even the campaign fails to follow the written lore. Its a joke all round. SPRINTING in a halo game? JETPACKS? Bloom? i mean., seriously. This game was so ridiculously unrefined and RNG based that even your 50 year old mother could score some kills. I get that they wanted to appeal to the casuals more, but, theres appealing to them, and then theres catering to them with zero consideration to the good hardcore players , Theres appealing to a casual audience, then theres giving them a halo reach around. Disgusting game. ****. This game was the start of the downfall of halo. We can only hope that 343 have finally fkn learned a lesson and make infinite more like halo 3. 0/10 disgusting game.

Halo reach has a higher user score than halo 3? REALLY? do you guys even understand what made halo great? armor lock and bloom? sprint? forge maps as multiplayer maps? really? jet packs? holograms? thats good halo to you guys? you people are the reason halo met its down fall after halo 3/odst. Halo 3 is the best in the franchise, multiplayer and campaign both. Halo reach was the catalyst for bad halo. An abomination both lore wise, and multiplayer wise. Absolute joke that this is lower than that trash game. Clowns have no idea what halo stood for. Reach destroyed everything halo was. WTF is sprint doing in a halo game? Armor abilities? Really? A button that literally makes you invincible, while you get somebody one shot and they slam armor lock, and his friend finishes you off while he sits in his little invincible state. That is not good halo. Unreal to me that people think so highly of reach. I guess it's a case of a bunch of casuals. Casuals that dont understand the deeper mechanics of halo/ in other words, scrubs and noobs. Halo was turned into a game even your 40 year old mother could play. Heres hoping halo infinite can drag halo out of the mud and return it to its former glory. meanwhile, halo 3 is the best halo game. halo 2 is meh and unfinished tbh. but still decent. halo 3 just fixed everything halo 2 came up short on. thats what good sequels do, see. What reach did was akin to self destructing. HALO 3 10/10 HALO 2 6/10 HALO REACH 2/10

The start of the bad entries in to a beloved series. This game is nothing, NOTHING, but a disappointment. After the exceptional SH2 and the great but not quite as good SH3, this game lets fans down in a way only Konami could come up with. Team silent will be missed. Its almost like they TRIED to find every way to make this game worse than the others. Like they had a checklist and ticked every box to hit this level of turd. Worst game in the series, and close to one of the worst games of all time. It's a 4/10 really but i want to bring the score down so i will be rating 0/10 today because i see the user score here is too high and i will fix this.

This game sums up perfectly a series that never came close to being what it wanted to be. Halo. Even its best entry "Killzone 2" comes nowhere near the greatness of Halo and its weakest entries. Amazing narrative, amazing combat, amazing visuals, amazing voice acting, amazing adventure through a trippy mind boggling facility. Remedy consistently push the boat out for games to be something DIFFERENT. Something SPECIAL. Not just another shooter game with no story or interesting setting. This is what video games should be about. Trying something new. Give players something they haven't experienced before. Yes, we have played third person shooters before, but not like this. This is special. Absolute GEM ****. Ignore the review bombs from people crying about epic store or having computer potato so they can't run the game. Milking a popular franchise is something that has been happening since the dawn of media. But never like this. Not like this. It used to atleast be quality milk. This is bad milk. Milk that has gone bad over 14 months. This game blows my mind. Not in a good way, but it blows my mind nonetheless. Take the most popular media franchise in the world right now, throw it in a pot along with nice graphics and trailers that look amazing, WOW we can PLAY AS ALL OF OUR FAVORITE AVENGERS. Throw some minimal effort into the pot, stir it up, wait for it to brew. Now, your final product is "MARVELS AVENGERS". Ship it out to the millions of children begging their parents to buy them this game. THEY NEED THIS GAME. IT LETS YOU PLAY AS AVENGERS. PLEASE MOMMY I MUST HAVE IT. What does all of this sound like? Wait, i think i figured it out. It sounds like MONEY MONEY MONEY. Absolute disgrace to the gaming industry. Square turning into the next bethesda with this dismal entry. The stench of greed flows out of this pure mediocrity. Gaming is becoming just another marketing technique.. it's being invaded. Games will never be the same. An avengers game should have been something to CELEBRATE. It should have been amazing, open world, deep story. NOT THIS. We should have been celebrating that somebody finally made a high budget game based on the avengers. It should have been MORE.. not this empty soulless money making husk. The Darkness II10
Feb 4, 2021
It's perfect for what it is. Brutal, bloody, edgy, fun, short, linear. You will have A LOT of fun in the 6 hours this game lasts. Highly recommend playing on harder difficulty, adds some challenge and pads out the game time by a few hours. Don difficulty took my almost 10 hours which is more than enough. For me, this game supersedes the first game, and does so while being a better game on almost every single level. Graphics are stylish and still hold up to this day, gun play is super fun, darkness powers NEVER get old. I will NEVER get sick of wish boning people or just lopping them in half with a single satisfying swipe from your allies. The gore is amazing in this game, balls to the wall in a way that we don't really see as much in video games nowadays. The shooting is perfectly good, with some nice feedback and punch, going hand in hand with the stylized violence and art style nicely. This all feeds in nicely to the surprisingly competent story which you will find yourself being satisfied with way more than you might expect. "Expect" is a really good word to use when describing The Darkness II, mainly because nobody had any expectations for it. The first game is extremely mediocre save for it's amazing premise and creative introduction to the "villains" of the series. If you can call them "villains". They're more like heroes of evil. I could go on and on about how much i love this game, but i'll finish with this: if you are in the mood right now to just play a good old balls to the wall gore fest with solid mechanics and heaps of fun, this is probably something you're going to enjoy. If you're also SICK of the alternative options, the military shooter, or the zombie shooter, y'know, pretty much EVERY shooter these days. If you're sick and tired of those, but you still want to play a violent shooter, just without those banal cliche over done themes, then The Darkness II is DEFINITELY going to be something you enjoy, You might even love it. I know i do. If that hasn't sold you, nothing will. To really finish up, i'm now going to list the only thing i "dislike" about the game. It's short. I would have loved for even 2 more hours of game here. It would've been the perfect 10/10 (It's still a 10 anyway, but it couldve been the 10.1/10 lol) and sure, a lot of people might find the length disappointing, but looking at it from another perspective, the game is short, sweet, doesnt ever drag to the point you're sick of it, leaves you wanting more. Those don't sound like negative things to me. So, the rest is up to you. (JUST BUY IT)

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End0
Jan 4, 2021
It's an on rails shooter at best and a movie you sometimes participate in at worst. Obviously the graphics are good, but what else would you expect when naughty dog get budgets beyond comprehension. It's a shallow game with good graphics, voice acting, story. But that is it. There is nothing to it. Point, click, press button to climb. That is as much depth as you will experience in this game and it's the same with the last of us. This should've been a movie, just like the other games. The reason uncharted 1 was so successful is because we hadn't had a game like it since the earlier tomb raider games, which trump uncharted massively just by the by. The series continued, turning into just a set piece machine. Huge budget, small gameplay. It's sad, because this could have been something special. It has the graphics and story, like we said earlier. It also has the characters and acting. But it's missing the most important thing that makes games great. BEING AN ACTUAL GAME. THAT YOU CONTROL. NOT A GAME THAT IS ON RAILS, HAS 3 BUTTONS YOU USE TO SLIGHLY INTERACT. It's honestly pathetic to me that this game gets so many good reviews compared to games like Quantum Break or Control. Absolutely zero effort went into uncharted 4 to make it interesting to play. The proof is in the pudding. Play this game 3 times, and each time you will have EXACTTTTTTTLY the same experience. And i mean exactly. Graphics aren't everything. Picking up toys in a loft and inspecting them is not gameplay. On rails shooter is not gameplay. Pressing the same button repeatedly to climb, where there is no chance of failure because the game plays itself for you, is not gameplay. Climbing is also on rails. Pathetic. There are literally no ways to die in this game if you play on medium or below. Climbing is impossible to fail and is the most boring thing in this game. Which in itself tells a story, considering how much this game MAKES YOU CLIMB. climb climb climb climb. Not a game. It plays itself like i said earlier. The story is fun for the first few hours, before the monotony kicks in like a nasty pill. Judging by this game and the last of us 2, it becomes more and more apparent how incompetent of a studio naughty dog is. They should move to making movies, fire their script writers, and PLEASE stop making games. Or atleast, go back to making crash bandicoot or something. Actual games. Not this on rails press button to win garbage. Makes me so frustrated because this could be something special with the budget these idiots get for every game they poop out. Washed up hacks, LOU2 is proof that these guys need to just stop. Another sad thing to note is how much the sony fan girls eat this stuff up. Praising it as if it were the second coming. I bought my PS4 because i was told the exclusive games can be amazing. This turned out to be true, mostly. Spiderman, Horizon, God of War, these are the games people with half a brain cell want. Brain dead zombies that want a visual novel to play are the ones buying into naughty dogs trash. Makes me so sad. Oh well. 0/10 on rails shooter. Never buying a naughty dog game ever again.

Sooooo.... 7.2? Really? Games that actually try to do something different and unique, these are the games we turd on? Absolutely astonished by the lack of praise this game has received. I'm playing on a super computer, RTX 3080 and i9 9900k @5.3 ghz, and the game is very smooth and a pleasure to in terms of performance and visuals. I'd really like to preface before i go on, that i do NOT, by any means, think this game or any other in the remedy universe is "perfect". The performance of each game can leave a lot to be desired on lesser hardware. Especially Control. But, on with my opinions. The story? Absolutely perfect if a little convoluted. I've had an absolute blast playing through this game, watching the episodes that play as you go through the game. The acting, in game AND in the live action episodes dispersed throughout the game, is absolutely phenomenal. Nothing oscar worthy, but for a video game spliced with a TV show (which is so effing unique, still don't understand how somebody could rate this negatively) it is way, way more than just adequate. The key point here that i'd like to help everyone appreciate, is that Remedy are innovating as far as story telling goes in video games. The "remedy expanded universe" is turning out to be one of the most interesting "universes" in media history. Alan wake, Quantum Break, Control. Each of these games in their own ways, are extremely unique. But they all share a universe, and that is the real draw. It **** you in, and doesn't let go. Like i said, none of these games are "perfect", but this is meaningless when you consider the absolute fact that NOTHING in the video game industry is perfect. Not Mario 64, Zelda OOT, Golden Eye. NOTHING has ever achieved perfection, only in nostalgia do these games look perfect. Halo 3 is the closest i've seen a game come to being perfect, and even that isn't quite there. I digress. Quantum Break is the epitome of "Multi-Media", and i say Multi-Media quite literally. The spliced TV show is as entertaining as the game. I found myself enjoying the breaks from the frantic and fast paced gameplay. The 20 minute episodes move at a relentless pace and give exposition perfectly, if a little clumsily at times. The fact that these episodes make up almost 2 hours of the time you'll be spending with this game running on your machine is a unique thing in itself. I believe the only other games that really ask you to sit without having your hands involved in the story directly are the amazing efforts by the one and only Hideo Kojima. This game gives you the option, however. So if you don't fancy sitting around or aren't heavily invested in the story, you do have the option to skip. I'd recommend you don't. These episodes are extremely well made and largely entertaining overall. If you give this game and the "TV show" that comes with it a little of your time and attention, i guarantee you will end up hooked. It grabbed me and did not let go until the very end. Strong recommendation, 9.5/10. Ignore the negativity, give it a go. Once you have and if you enjoy it, i suggest you try out Control if you haven't. It's very much similar to this game.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order6
Dec 3, 2020
This game is both disappointing and somehow at the same time managed to exceed everyones expectations. I think the latter achievement can be explained by the fact that nobody expected an EA published Star Wars game in 2020 to not be an incompetent cash grab. That it isn't. I still feel like this game could've been so much more. The graphics are its best quality, stunning in places. The performance of the game and the technical aspects leave a lot to be desired however. The game, to this day, does not run very well even on extremely modern hardware (in my case, a 3080). This is forgivable however, because the game is far far away from being unplayable. It's very playable, and at times can be a challenging and satisfying experience. That being said, the problem lies with how safe it all feels. The game doesn't really manage to do anything all that original, and has quite obviously taken a lot of inspiration from other game formula that are already tried and tested and proven to work. This isnt inherently a bad thing, in fact, i attribute this to be the main reason the game isn't a failure. While the game is made better by its copied ideas and gameplay loop, it also ends up feeling extremely safe because of it. The game does absolutely nothing in the way of breaking new ground or creating an original experience. It suffers because of this. So while the inspirations the devs have taken into account when designing the game certainly help keep it from being a bad game, they also are its biggest problem. Technically, this game is better on almost every level when compared to The Force Unleashed, yet, i had more fun playing through TFU. This game has far more depth than TFU, and yet i was more interested in the main character in the latter game. This is telling of how safe this game has played it. Where TFU was extremely experimental and arguably unfinished in places, it was also extremely fun and succeeded in fulfilling the power fantasy a lot more than Fallen Order has. "Playing it safe" applies to Fallen Order in more ways than just game design. Although it may seem like a small detail, the lack of dismemberment in the game is extremely revealing and telling of just how safe this game needed to be. It shows that the creators of the game are willing to sacrifice something that has been part of the franchise and something that is logical, just to achieve a wider audience. They chose to hurt the gameplay just for more sales. This ****. Again, the dismemberment point is seemingly small and inconsequential to some people, but when you consider it in the grand scheme of things, it becomes a much bigger problem than when taken at face value. The power fantasy is suddenly extremely damaged, lightsaber feels like you're beating people with a powerful stick rather than a white hot futuristic weapon. There are more domino effects that come of this safe decision. I wont get into them here. After TFU, the force powers here feel extremely underwhelming and while i understand that TFU is no longer canon and was definitely OTT, i feel like Fallen Order could definitely have had a little more fun with its force powers. In conclusion, all of this adds up to a very competent and deliberate package. A laser precise design, crafted to be experienced just how they want you to experience it. I could go on for hours about how safe every aspect of the game is, up until the end when something actually fun and cool finally happens. But ive already written enough.. Safe is the best word i can think of when describing the game, and its the one i will stick with. Safe/10

Remnant: From the Ashes8
Dec 3, 2020
Solo, this game is forgettable and distinctly average. With a friend however, the game truly shines and becomes an experience worth having. The laughs and frustrations you will share with a buddy make this worth the price of admission alone, but the exploration and teamwork are what elevate this from being average to great. The graphics and performance leave quite a lot to be desired, especially the performance, but this is somewhat understandable given the budget and relatively inexperienced dev team. On the positive side, the fact that this team with its budget managed to create such a coherent 3RD person co-op shooter is quite impressive. Procedural generation is more or less a none factor for me, neither here nor there. I just don't care about it. Most of the time i prefer hand crafted maps and enemy spawns because it usually leads to a more balanced and coherent experience. This game, with its partial procedural generation, somehow manages to avoid (for the most part anyway) these annoyances. Not entirely though. Balancing and difficulty spikes are definitely prevalent in the game and you WILL experience them in your play through. These problems are alleviated and much more lenient when playing with a friend. In fact, like i said above, the whole game just gets exponentially better when played with a buddy and i wholly recommend that you play the game like this, otherwise, you will likely find yourself saying "meh" a whole lot. Conclusion: Grab a friend, a few beers, crank up the difficulty, and let the good times flow.

Half assed port for a half assed game, i guess. The game itself is every bit as mediocre as you've heard. Maybe even a little worse than you would expect. Never seen a bigger cash in with as little in the way of actual deep content since Anthem. But, i mean, what do we really expect these days? I think it's high time we stop buying tripe like this and support good games and good developers that maybe don't have the budget or reach that the big cats have, but are making endlessly better games with endless amounts more love and passion. This game is a corporate check list and it absolutely disgusts me. About the only thing it has going for it is the shiny visuals, and even then they are looking dated by todays standards. It amazes me that these people have the balls to release empty husks of "games" such as this. No shame at all. And they know for a fact that kids everywhere will be tugging their mothers jumpers begging them to buy this game. They know this, and therefore, they know a game like this could never fail. Especially when it includes the words "marvel" and "avengers" in the title. This game is a shining example of everything that's wrong with the video game industry today. If you buy it, shame on you and i feel no sympathy for you.. Stop being part of the problem. With every garbage cash-grab product you guys purchase, you fund another. You show them its okay and that we accept this quality in our video games. You are encouraging them. PLEASE, STOP.

There's no getting away from the fact that this is an absolutely ATROCIOUS effort from Bethesda. They deserve every bit of criticism they have and will continue to receive. Only reason i have played the game in order to write a review for it is because it went on Game Pass a few months back and i thought i might as well give it a try. Boy, do i regret that decision. Possibly the worst 4 hours of my life. The game is every bit as bad as it is made out to be, and remains to this day, possibly one of the worst "triple A" experiences one can have on any platform. Do not, under any circumstances, spend ANY money on this game. Dont do it. Do not do that. Dont encourage them by buying this trash. a

Borderlands 38
Dec 3, 2020
This being an epic exclusive on release shouldn't detract from its score as much as it did. It should be judged purely on the game that it is. I will say that some of the criticism aimed at the game, i entirely agree with. The characters are annoying and the story is so forgettable i couldnt even tell you what happened. However, since when were people buying Borderlands games for the award winning story telling lol? Never. Thats when. Every story in the franchise thus far has been bad/forgettable and this game is no different in that regard. What this game does get more wrong than its predecessors however, is the characters and dialogue. It's super cringe and i MEAN super. Infact its so bad id almost recommend you just mute the game entirely and listen to music while you shoot the ever living poop out of things. You wont be missing anything worth experiencing if you do, and thats what i ended up doing after having my fill of the asinine writing and voice acting. Which brings me to my final point. The fact that i was able to mute the game entirely, yet still play it through to the end and have a lot of fun doing so, tells you something about the game and its gameplay. I have only ever really played borderlands because the gameplay loop is extremely satisfying to me, and its no less satisfying here. Infact its endlessly more satisfying, because the shooting and combat as a whole has been overhauled and boy does it pay off. SO much more responsive are the guns and shooting mechanics, the movement is sleek and fun where the previous games felt clunky and slow. As a game, Borderlands 3 improves on almost EVERYTHING in terms of gameplay over the previous titles. It also somehow manages to do all of the other stuff waaaaay worse than the previous games. But ask yourself this.... Do you really care about the story or do you just want to shoot 5 acres of **** out **** variety of enemies with an extremely good variety of guns? if the answer is "no i dont care about the story at all" then this game will not disappoint you and in fact will most likely leave you very happy.

Mass Effect: Andromeda9
Dec 3, 2020
Wow, a 5/10? Really guys? Look i kind of get it to a degree. The game was super buggy and unfinished on release. It isn't anymore, and to be honest, this game is kinda great. It was a victim of its own hype, like so many games are. It's far from perfect, but so many games are. This game is essentially what i imagine the devs envisioned when they set out to make Mass Effect 1. Now with the technology to fully realise their vision, they more or less achieved it and succeeded in properly realising the ambitious things Mass Effect 1 could only attempt on a very basic scale and in some cases could only dream of doing. I got around 100 hours out of this game, seeing perhaps 95 percent of its content, and i have to say, i thoroughly enjoyed the game where i expected not to. The awful word of mouth that followed this games release had lowered my expectations a great deal, but i was pleasantly surprised when i landed on the first planet and realised just how cool the game really is. Graphically the game is gorgeous, combat is fantastic (i HIGHLY recommend playing on the hardest difficulty for the best challenge and experience) music is brilliant, map design is fantastic also. The game still has its faults, mostly being the story telling and some cringey dialogue. Also some of that awkward facial animation remains, but you'd have to be an extremely shallow person with unreasonably high expectations to let that ruin a game completely for you. It should be more about game play with this game, and with the game play, it truly excels. I wont try to tell you the game is perfect because it isn't. But i will come here to try to give what i think is a more fair assessment in contrast to the overwhelming negativity i see here in the user reviews. If you are a fan of SCI FI, Mass Effect, exploration, fun combat, just play the game for yourself and see if you agree with the abundance of 0/10 reviews here. Because i really dont.

Dec 3, 2020
Now that the awful port has been somewhat fixed, this game can finally be truly appreciated for the fantastic piece of art that it is. Performance is better now and the game is absolutely still stunning in 2020. In terms of story, gameplay, graphics and everything else, this game is a HUGE step-up from the first title, which is saying a lot considering Dishonored 1 is one of the best stealth/immersive sims to be released since thief 2. If we get Dishonored 3 somehow, i seriously hope the devs pay a little more attention to the PC port because the games reputation was more or less destroyed on release due to the atrocious performance and bugs. Stop doing this to pc ports. This game and those with rigs powerful enough to enjoy it at max settings, deserve so much more than what was delivered with the port of this game. Just stop. It's fixed now, but that doesnt change the fact it was sold to people broken, its unforgivable. However, the game, as i stated above, is absolutely fantastic and deserves a place in your steam library any day of the week.

Battle Royale games are inherently bad. The sooner this trend dies off the better for the game industry as a whole. Warzone is no different to other BR games, only this time it comes with 200GB storage requirement which is nothing short of RIDICULOUS. Harder doesn't necessarily mean better and no game proves this better than Spelunky 2 does. The first game is something of a masterpiece and i have thousands of hours clocked on it. This game however, after reaching the 50 hour mark, i feel no motivation to ever even think about getting close to those hours i achieved on the first game. If you want to see difficulty increases done right, see DOOM Eternal as a prime example of skill combined with fair and tight game design. Spelunky 2 is fine. But thats all it manages to achieve, which is extremely unfortunate considering how brilliant the first game was. This sequel somehow manages to feel less refined and while being much more difficult, it feels less challenging in the sense that you stand a fair chance. More artificial difficulty, and i hate it.

Absolutely my favorite part of my Switch library. Hundreds of hours of gameplay, on maddening, failure after failure, and im still as in love now as i was the very first day i bought the game. It's brutal but fair, long yet never boring, fully voice acted and beautifully so. The battles are well thought out and offer variety and incredible map design.
