Been gaming for 30 years or so. Pretty qualified on the subject of “beat ‘em ups”. This game is not even close to the OH experience of a beat ‘em up. If we’re being honest with ourselves, even the OG beat ‘em ups just aren’t very good in 2025. They were ok when they were the best that could be made. What makes a beat ‘em ip good? Obviously that’s subjective. From my experience, beat ‘em up games are good when they FEEL good to play. This game feels meh. It’s spamming square over and over again while enemies spawn onto the street and take cheap shots. Oh you want to block? Well, hold down triangle and consume your HP and the enemies will simply be dealt with. Easy lol but rewarding? Not at all. Nevermind that using “block” hurts you. Anyways, it couldn’t hold my attention past a few levels and I was honestly bored and disappointed by the end of the training. Beat ‘em ups aren’t meant to be complex button combos and hold R2 while timing square and back on the joystick to punch in reverse. How about hold down R2 to block forward attack? Hold down L2 to block attack from behind? Very simple, very basic design…you know, the way that pretty much any successful beat ‘em up video game has done things. To the devs out there: keep it simple, stupid. Not every game needs a skill tree or crafting system and beat ‘em ups don’t need complex training to be good. Sure that can be fun but not usually with this style of art or 2D side scroll vintage junk. It was cool in the 90s (I guess) but we have innovation now. Use it! Or, if you want to sell a game by making something “vintage” stick to the recipe that made those titles successful. And don’t forget a decent soundtrack and fun voice lines/ sounds. Anyways, some people will enjoy this game I’m sure, but my back catalogue has too many titles to waste my time on this one. Praying for a new era of game devs that aren’t egotistical, lazy weirdos but I’m not holding my breath.

Miserable game. Frustration over fun is the idea, which is why nobody plays these games I guess. Some say you can enjoy it once you’ve spent hundreds to thousands of hours mastering the physics. To that I say: there are better things to do with hundreds or thousands of hours of my life. Some devs forgot that games should be fun. Especially games with extreme sports. They brag about the physics and control in this game, but a few hours will have even decent players smashing their controllers. I love extreme sports games and racing as well. Got the platinum for Riders Republic because I enjoyed it so much. Beat every Tomy Hawk title up to Underground 2. I get the idea of failing and restarting and I have the patience for that if it feels fun and worthwhile in the long run. I’ve tried 2 Trials games now, Fusion and Rising. Both of those games do not care about fun or players time sink. They want you to perform a flawless run without even leaning to correct your angle so you don’t fall. Possible? Yeah sure…Fun? No. Miserable. And you will need to achieve some of these goals to simply unlock new maps. Oh and don’t get me started on the community maps mostly all being on tracks that would cost an additional $10 minimum to buy dlc content. I understand these games have a loyal following and I have nothing but respect for those who find this fun. I don’t know any of these people and all of my gaming friends have tried these games and all of these friends stopped and said they were too frustrating. I thought they were overreacting a bit, but no. If anything they were under reacting. Some call these games the dark souls of extreme sports games. I don’t think that’s true. Dark souls has value and a clear path to improvement. I was not able to find value in playing these and if I could speak to the devs I would have to ask if any of them play the games they make. I’m sure they do not as the challenges would be too difficult. If a challenge is too difficult for you and you have made the product, consider bringing it down a notch rather than sacrificing fun and ultimately causing your game to be incredibly niche. I’m not saying make it brain dead easy. I’m saying 99% of people who pick this up will not continue playing because the frustration is not fun. Maybe if you aim for fun, people will play your video games. Ask Tony Hawk. And to the “git gud” crowd out there: I am very good at many games and other irl things. The time it would take to get good enough to enjoy this game would first of all not be enjoyable at all for me and secondly that time would be wasted when it could have been invested in something like playing my guitar, cooking, or taking a walk with my dog. All better ways to spend you time and more rewarding. That’s not even naming the hundreds or thousands of better games you could play in that time. TLDR: Game is not fun or worth your time sink and made me wonder how many devs even play their game and how many players just lie about achievements. Don’t bother. Play something fun.

Not as good as Hitman 1 or 2. Hitman 3 is much more linear, punching you into small maps with obvious stories. Very little reason to replay any map. The second map only has 1 target and then a tedious stupid safe to go open over and over and over again every time you play it. Based on the potential of this game as a sandbox, I have to say this one is an L. Should have kept it closer to Hitman 2 gameplay and fixed the janky glitchiness when I’m trying to pick up and drag quick or hang quickly. **** getting caught due to unresponsive controls. Hopefully the bond game they’re working on doesn’t **** too.

Overpowered in favor of the killer, especially if you’re new. Too many killers with too many abilities to learn. Makes sense why nobody plays this game when they baby the killer so much by giving them a ton of abilities that you won’t even understand without a YouTube tutorial. It was probably fun in the beginning though.

Terrible experience. They did something with hitting and it’s just boring. They didn’t fix the hitting engine, it’s worse if anything. Pitching is still stupidly easy on every difficulty and setting, but you still will give up random home runs on sinkers out of the zone to the cpu on Rookie. I used to love mlb the show, but something changed around 17 or 18. I thought 20 was ok in the end, 21 was a step back, then 22 seemed like a small step forward and now 23 is terrible. On ps4 you’ll get tons of lag, frame rate drops and glitches. The graphics on ps4 are muddy and you can check that by playing it back to back with the show 22 which is cleaner. 99% of the time I quit due to boredom or I literally fall asleep. It’s that bad. My advice: don’t buy this. If anything just buy 20 or 22 or just play something better. SDS **** and the community thinks rng is good for hitting so this game is probably doomed.

Another day, another trash game. Micromanagement and tedium for the sake of boredom. If you waste more than 2 hours of your life on this pos, I honestly can’t respect you. Note to devs: Tedium is not difficulty and it is not fun. I have a job, I don’t need to micromanage a scientists sleep schedule in a dinosaur park simulator. Terrible attempt at a a video game. Down there with mud runner with games that, if you find yourself playing them, you need to seriously go get yourself a real life.

Boring game where you drive slow in a false simulation of mud driving, clearly made by people who have never operated motor vehicles. Waste your time watching paint dry, it is way more fun this garbage. Boring. Nothing good to say about it.

Don’t fix what’s not broken. The first game was incredible for the story and the combat. Why would you touch the combat? Anyways, I stopped playing during the first mission after probably the 4th cut scene. Sure I can skip them but I’m not wasting my time. The crafting is tedious. They force you to switch weapons more than the first game in combat and so you’re switching and crafting and dodging and fighting. It blows. Zero Dawn did it well and is one of the best games I have ever played. I’m glad I tried Forbidden West for free and wouldn’t recommend it to anybody in all honesty.

Not a bad game by any stretch, but it’s not for me personally. Visually, the game is different. I don’t love the side scroll, personally. Decent customization for clothes and rewards for challenges. I’m not sure if I would call it a fault, but the control mapping just isn’t to my liking. If I had the option to remap and make X to jump rather than push it would be ideal and I probably would have given the game more time. Just not a fan of the joysticks controlling jumps and grinds and all of that and would rather have the button precision. I can’t give it more than a 5 because I didn’t get very far before holding down for jump got old for me.

Foul ball, foul ball, foul ball, perfect contact out, foul ball, foul ball, foul ball, foul ball, foul ball, foul ball, foul ball, strike out, foul ball, home run…..boring game. Really boring. RNG The lives on for some reason. Genuinely one of the worst scripting in a rigged game I have ever played. Play moments if you doubt it. SDS has been washed for years. Bring back MVP so we can play a decent game.

wish I had stuck with my nostalgia. The physics engines aren’t the same. They removed content. It’s just not the same and anyone rating it higher than a 5/10 is high. Absolutely high.

Only part of the game. The other part will be exclusive for PlayStation 5. I’m not wasting my money on that trash when a gaming pc is simply better. If you release **** on a console, release the other half. I don’t care about performance, I feel cheated af right now and won’t bother unless I can find a way to scam it on a pc. Not paying a cent more.

Would be a perfect score for me if the decay was not so fast. Trying to play this game 2 years after release and get a platinum is terrible. There aren’t enough active players to help contribute and if you play on hardest difficulty everything degrades too fast. You will spend a literal day of your life in game rebuilding structures so that the next time you play you can do a perfect run. If Kojima is some genius, I would expect him to have the foresight of player drop off. Some will tell you it’s doable and I won’t tell you a platinum is impossible in 2022, but it isn’t worth it. It’s an amazing idea and I wish they could’ve chilled with the decay do the game could be fun. Shame.

This is the least fun I’ve ever had playing a dynasty game. It comes down to the size of the maps, the coloring and lighting and the lack of direction. I literally only ever lost due to confusion because the way I came was now locked and I ended up on the wrong side of the map trying to get to a place that is directly next to me but the point of access is on the other side of the map. Every battle there is some stupid sneak attack that requires you to navigate through the bs mazes to where you started to kill one officer that should have been handled by your own forces. I just platinumed dynasty warriors 6. It had its faults but was enjoyable. This game **** in comparison and I’m shocked there is so much love expressed for map design. It takes minutes to cross the map and it disrupts the flow of the game every time and is only obnoxious, never have I been happy to see it. Tedious, boring at times, terrible battle choreography, I could go on. How about standing in a spot and the game just doesn’t trigger the cut scene so you run in circles for 20 min until next time you pass the spot it just works? Worst dynasty game I’ve played and I love this series.

Textbook overrated. Plays clunky, doesn’t give much direction and leads to confusing repetition that is just boring when it isn’t annoying. It’s tedious and doesn’t get out of its own way. I don’t care about the hundreds of joker trophies. I don’t care about the bat sense. I literally walked past the objective 99% of the time because I had no clue wtf I was even supposed to be doing. The objectives change all the time on maps that are maxes for the sake of player confusion and it leads to frustration. That’s what you’d expect from that formula, that’s what you get. I heard this was some of the best combat in a game? That’s a load of crap. The combat is like trying to run in water and it’s also somehow clearly designed for children. Meanwhile the clues are either obvious and right in front of you so you walk past them because the other clues are so vague you could not solve them all without a guide. Not possible. Not fun. Boring and outdated. Hope the other Arkham games are better and fanboys stop with the hype bs.

The game is meant for pc. This is not a console friendly game and if you do get it for console, you will need to buy mouse and keys at bare minimum but most likely a joystick or you’ll get stomped. Pc players target console players knowing they are at a disadvantage and they are actively toxic and will troll you by maneuvering and bumping your plane. That’s right, they can outmaneuver you so well on of that they can come around and bump you at 400+ km/hr and don’t even get me started on the maneuvers and physics. I’m no genius but I’ve seen some really crazy stuff that most definitely is not possible despite this being called a sim. This is a pay to play mobile game that looks decent on pc and looks muddy and drops frames constantly on console. You will end up smashing your controller playing this which is actually to your benefit because, like I said, you can’t win without investing in mouse and keys or joystick. Skip this game at all costs and let it die as it should have immediately after launch on console. I guess pc players might enjoy it. They should be stuck in their own corner and let the console players play each other. This game is a prime example of cross play being an absolute failure and doing it just to fill lobbies to pretend the game is alive. Period. It’s also the prime example of pay to play behind the lie of an initial free download. Stop rewarding bad devs and companies and maybe we’ll get a good game again someday.

The aspect of this game being cool because of history is completely ruined by the boring gameplay. Even when you try to have fun you’ll be staring at the clouds for 3 minutes on some watch mission trying to spot an attack. Or you’ll press the bomb button only to find out you weren’t precise enough. I’m talking you hit the pavement directly next to a plane and that’s considered a miss. I’d like to see that plane work irl, but of course it’s a game. That being said, it is a miserable game. Sometimes the controls flash on screen, other times the same line of directions was printed 8 times repeating on the screen. A wall of the same line. Sometimes your bullets line up with the hit markers and destroy enemy planes despite the hit markers constantly fighting you every time you line them up. Don’t get me started on torpedos. The tutorial explains little to nothing so good luck. This game begs the question: if this is what you’re putting out then why even bother? At least it’s free, but so is staring at a wall and that won’t raise your blood pressure.

Absolute mess ****. The worst combat system I have encountered in a long time. Movement is clunky and that makes parkour just not fun. If the parkour element fails, assassins creed fails. Period. To anyone praising this game: please stop. You like it, but your praise of the parkour and combat and stealth is really just not right. People are buying this game based on that and getting upset when they find out the game actually ****. Play a game that does it well, like Ghost of Tsushima for example. Then come back and play unity. That’s called perspective and it’s something most of you lack and it makes up it reviews nothing but bs that leads to purchases by people who were mislead. If you only play assassins creed, your perspective is not worth hearing . I’m sorry, but that’s a fact. Don’t buy this game. I know I won’t be buying another AC game. This was the last straw for me.

Remove SBMM. Every Call of Duty with SBMM will get a 0 from me. Also, stop breaking up the lobbies? Who tf thought that up? I know it’s linked to the terrible matchmaking so I’ll just reiterate my first point: Remove SBMM. Get the message.

Fanboys are gonna fanboy. Repetitive nonsense bogs the game down. The combat ****. The parkour is SO overrated and done very poorly if anyone is being honest. The story was written by someone with a head injury. It is dumb and often you find yourself wondering how this situation is happening because common sense does not exist. It loses any and all charm within a couple hours and never regains it. You can’t even compliment it on being unique. It isn’t. It’s another zombie game except for some reason you get a plank of wood to start and it takes 20 bashes to hurt them. Others you’re just supposed to run and do stupidly impossible jumps and make them look easy. Also you’re supposed to just have basic electrician knowledge, for example what a power box looks like and where to find it. They’ll just send you out to turn them on and not even show you a picture. Weird huh? Common sense doesn’t exist with these developers. But like I said, fanboys are gonna fanboy. Buy it if you are into the hype. I can’t stop you from wasting money.

Self righteous developers and fans who have developed a little bubble of bs for you to learn before you can even know what weapons to use. The game is utter confusion, nothing makes any sense. People might help you for a bit but they’ll eventually get tired of teaching you everything because the game does not. It looks nice. That’s all. It’s too easy to fight, too annoying to have to solve a simple puzzle in the middle of a fight, annoying trying to negotiate with a bunch of basement dwellers to teach me wtf this thing does or where to get that to build this to do that. The game ****. They wanted to confuse you into paying for bundles instead of grinding. Don’t give them money. This game blows.

It’s better than Real Farm, but still doesn’t come close to The Farming Simulator games. I won’t call it a bad game, but it has so many unnecessary extra components to it. Also, note to devs: plowing has not been done well in any farming game I’ve played. It always takes too much real life time and is way too tedious to be worthwhile and so if it is an option, I shut it off. Now I find it hard to believe farmers are still dragging single line plows for days behind them on dinky tractors, but I’m just a gamer. Which brings me to my last point. Realistic or not, if it isn’t fun, it isn’t fun. If it isn’t fun, is it worth making a game? I’ll let your profit margins answer that. Anyways, if you want a farming game ONLY buy the Farming Simulator brand. They do it best, though still could do better. Anyone else putting out a farming game needs to stop going so hard on the sim and lean into more into fun. Disagree all you want but the sales make my case for me.

The game is fun if you’re a fan of staring at walls, simulating sleep, and generally being bored to death. It’s not realistic nor is it fair when it comes to needs or balanced at all. If you eat, you’ll be hungry again in 2 real life minutes. You’ll get tired after a 5 minute walk. I’m used to winter hiking and camping in real life. I also am certified in first aid. This game is a joke, a really boring joke. Stranded deep is much more enjoyable even if it suffers in some areas. This game has zero redemptive qualities for me and anyone defending it should understand they are a very small niche of people who enjoy very poor quality games and have no understanding of actual winter survival, or even winter in general. I recommend going outside on a really cold snowy day and you tell me how long before you’re dying of hunger or even frostbite. How long before your gloves start to break down from simply standing outside? Game is trash.

Not fun for casuals. What is the problem with difficulty sliders exactly? That you’ll feel smaller if someone else can accomplish what you did in a video game? That’s sad. Almost as sad as saying “get good” instead of accepting criticism. It might be surprising to find this out, but some people like to enjoy games without sweating and have zero interest at all in learning the finer things about cars and rally racing. Some people would like a very basic driving option. Refer to Dirt 5 for the solution. And to all you try hards, honestly, get a real life hobby and let the games be for fun.

I bet the game is great, but they screwed up the lighting so it’s either too bright or too dark. There are comparisons of previous versions of Hitman 1 and you can clearly see the difference. It was $12 on sale for me, but it’s unplayable. I’m playing it via Hitman 2 so it was advertised as an upgrade. It ****.

Way to take a winning formula and completely over complicate it. The changes ****. Don’t “fix” what’s not broken. If you’re a fan of classic Pac-Man there is no way you stand by this title. Jumps, spark corners, bumpers, all this extra bs. Just make a Pac-Man game a Pac-Man game ffs. Devs these days…they ****.

I hope they aren’t claiming someone tested this pos game before release. Everything the other negative reviews is saying is 100% true and any positive review could only have been bought. I say that having platinumed every farming simulator game. This is trash, utter garbage. From the “physics” to the crashes to the pointless driving to the weather to the inconsistencies in the status bars on different jobs. Ever wonder what spending time in hell would be like? Play this. But don’t really because it’s awful. Still better than any 2k game though

Like most sports games these days, you have an illusion of control but most of it is rng simulation based on “likely outcomes” from your skills. This game won’t even let you have fun though. Try playing a career. It’s hell. I’m a casual basketball fan, I don’t care about getting gold. I want to play like it was before the e sports and streaming scene ruined things. I want to be the best on the court without spending 10 hours a day practicing at a video game. I’ve played this franchise for about 10 years now and this is a low point. Having played 2k21 I can say it’s continued to go downhill. Not everyone wants to compete online. Some people want to chill in their free time. I guess that’s not allowed anymore. Save yourself the bs and skip anything 2k games. Seriously.

As bad as 2021 is, this game ****. People argue about whether or not events and game outcomes are predetermined or scripted. Well, they are. I’ve copied save files and replayed moments and games to see the outcomes and get the same results each time, the same at bats with the same runners on and the same score. The game is pure sim since about 2018, maybe earlier. The team at SDS is a bunch of liars and the community is full of morons who believe them. Waste of effing time.

Overrated af. If you’re into the original MGS, but always wanted it to be boring, here ya go have fun.

I tried so hard to like this game. The only thing positive I can say about it is that it has an interesting artistic style…I guess. The inventory is frustrating, the sailing is ridiculous, the combat is simple and repetitive and the story is lacking. Not just the worst “survival” game I’ve played, but one of the worst overall games I’ve ever touched. The worst pita rat about this is the game seems like there is actual potential, but somehow just threw it away. It does blatantly rip off elements and styles from games like BOTW, but fails to use them in any meaningful way and thus falls flat. Your stamina will immediately drop after eating and your character will be perpetually hungry. Resources are scarce and sailing is an absolute nightmare. You’d be better off never upgrading your boat and simply rowing through the game. It gets a 1 because underneath this awful trash fire I can tell there was the possibility of a decent game. Avoid it even if it’s free. Save your time for something better.

Boring, tedious and glitchy. **** is more like it. Enjoy using a knife and goofy cannon as there are no weapons in the game. Enjoy your submarine if you can due to all the maintenance with batteries and bs like fires. It‘s a game that should be or could be really fun but just isn’t at all.

Fun for a few minutes. The game is bland and lacking in any direction. The tutorial is not a tutorial doesn’t prepare you for anything and the training missions rarely apply to the actual missions you’re tasked with. You have to wash your truck all the time and repair it, but I’m not sure when that’s actually supposed to be done so I just do it in between calls. Apparently that draws criticism from the chief because “firefighters don’t pump rides” or something. That’s despite the fact that every morning he tells you to make sure the inside and out of your vehicle is in working ****’re the only person working at each call btw, it makes no sense. It routinely tasks you with using equipment you’ve never been introduced to or wouldn’t recognize and they can’t even put a name over the items. Could have been interesting. I’m giving it a 2 and that is being incredibly generous imo.

If it’s a baseball game, I’ve played it. This is hands down the worst experience anyone could have with a baseball video game. The Show 20 is actually better by a long shot. Time your swing perfect, aim your reticle perfect, ground out. Pitching is incredibly easy on the other hand. Leave it over the plate and you’ll get away with some against AI. If you’ve played an MLB title before and enjoyed Road to the Show, it’s completely ruined now which is a shame. The 2-way player didn’t make anything better. It kind of broke the game by making you play Diamond Dynasty despite what anyone tells you. It’s strange to go from enjoying every game mode in the previous release to hating every minute of this one. I stopped playing outright actually. If you’re considering buying it, the only thing you’re getting is frustration and try-hards in the community with a whole lot of simulation. Eventually it all feels very scripted when you play enough and especially in certain modes. If you enjoy it, have fun, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone buy this baseball sim.
