Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete10
Oct 1, 2026
This was one of my first Pc-gaming experiences as a kid, and I was instantly addicted.
I have played it for probably well over a thousand hours, and still play occasionally to this day - it never gets old. It is just too much fun to play around with the Map editor, and create your own worlds for the heroes to conquer. One of my favorite games of all time for sure!

I just finished the game today with north of 15 hours of total playtime, and it was a really unique experience.
It has a gripping and quite touching story, as well as interesting gameplay and combat mechanics. And.perhaps the best part: there was no modern "message" to be found, I didn’t find any woke nonsense during my playthrough, which is unusual these days.
It is simply just a fun and interesting game focusing on just that - being entertaining. Props to Capcom!

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption10
Dec 28, 2025
This was my first experience with the Metroid universe, and I was simply drawn into it's amazing world almost instantly!
What really clicked with me was the ingenious level design, and how puzzles are integrated into the world in such an interesting way. The pacing is near perfect, the way you slowly discover new suit and weapon upgrades, and use them to progress through earlier non-reachable areas is so masterfully planned out. I also particularly loved how they implemented Samus' ship into some of the puzzles, as well as used it for fast travel between areas. There's a bit less back-tracking in this one, compared to Prime 1 & 2. I have since played most of the games in the Metroid franchise - both 3D and 2D, and it's one of my favorites of all time, and this game in particular holds a special place in my heart. I have finished it several times over the years!

God of War7

I think the game starts off very interesting, and as the story enfolded, it made me stick with it to the end.
But I don't know, there's just something about it, there are too many twists and turns in the story near the ending, it all gets very confusing and I got burned out on it - almost like the story got lost in translation or something.
As an action/adventure game, there are many others which do what this game does much better Imo.
I also didn't feel compelled to explore the world outside of the linear story progression, it simply wasn't that interesting too me. +++Positives: The combat was pretty fun however, the visuals impressive, and a certain likeable character you meet mid-game which joins your journey.
Overall a pretty good, but severely over-hyped game, that didn't really click with me unfortunately.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess10
Dec 21, 2025
This was my introduction to the Zelda universe, and It made me instantly love the franchise - as well as the action/adventure genre in general.
Before getting a Wii and this game, I had been very casually into video games for years, but from the videos I saw and all the hype I heard from Zelda fans, this looked very interesting to me. And I'm really glad I played it, as it became one of my favorite Zelda's, as well as games of all time!
This took many of OoT's ideas and perfected them. It was engaging from the start, and I have finished it several times.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D8
Dec 21, 2025
I didn't play this game when it came out for the N64, as I was just casually into video games at that time, so my review is based on the quality of this game as a "modern" title - not based on nostalgia.
I can see why this game is as hyped up as it is, as I can imagine it was very revolutionary for it's time, and I think it's an overall great experience - albeit dated, even today.
But for someone who didn't get to play it until the remake on the 3DS, most of it's mechanics have not aged well, and newer games in the franchise have definitely done much better in the action/adventure universe.
But as stated earlier, it is overall a great game even today, and it is mostly a fun experience, although with some frustration moments.

Super Mario Galaxy 210

A fantastic follow-up to one of my favorite games of all time! I slightly prefer the first one, probably because it was so revolutionary, and felt so new.
But the inclusion of Yoshi as well as many new innovative stages, makes this game as much of a must play as the first one!

What a treasure this masterpiece is! I remember getting a Wii and this game in 2011, after a long time of not being interested in video games, and just pursuing other interests and hobbies.
What an almost magical moment it was playing this game, it made an adult man like me feel like the kid I was, getting my Nes for Christmas in the early 90's.
The platforming is absolutely superb, the music is exhilarating, and the pacing is simply perfect. One of the best games Nintendo has ever made!

God of War: Ragnarok3
Dec 19, 2025
This must seriously be the most overrated game in existence! It does not feel like a video game, but a boring interactive movie, where the player barely does any actual playing at all.
The amount of cut-scenes, walk-and-talk sequences, as well as quick-time events made this game nearly unplayable for me.
The final nail in the coffin was the extremely out-of-place Angrboda story, which doesn't seem to fit in the general narrative at all, it just seems shoehorned in for some reason.. (I wonder why) Isn't this game supposed to be based on Norse Mythology..?
There's probably a good game hidden in there somewhere, but it's completely overshadowed by the flaws I just mentioned, so I won't even bother mentioning the somewhat good aspects.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 3310
Dec 17, 2025
I just finished this game today after spending about 70 hours playing it - almost non stop!
I'm usually not into turn-based combat in RPG's, and prefer action styles, but this game really made me a believer. This has to be one of the most engaging combat-systems in video game history! Kind of blending the best of both worlds, I really loved the parry/counter-attack mechanic, and once you get the hang of it, it's truly addictive.
The combat and several of the game's bosses remind me of Elden Ring - another game I love!
I also have to commend the music in this game, so many memorable scores that stuck in my head, and with different tunes for each combat encounter, amazing stuff!
I played the game for several hours each day, and when I didn't play it, I was still thinking about it.
Highly recommended!

Metroid Dread9
Dec 16, 2025
I am a huge fan of the Metroid Prime games, but hadn't really gotten that much into the 2D-series, so I went into this thinking I might like it a little bit, but it probably won't be anything special. But man was I wrong, I was pretty much hooked within the first hour, and struggled to put it down until the very finish! The exploration, puzzle-solving, sense of isolation and atmoshere is like no other. The developers did a fantastic job nailing the Metroid-experience! The game is also pretty challenging, with several of the bosses making me really break a sweat. This is definitely one of my favorite Nintendo-games in recent years!

Metroid Prime Trilogy10
Dec 16, 2025
Three of my favorite games of all time, in a single package, with the first two greatly enhanced with Wii pointer controls, making shooting, puzzle-solving, and looking around in general that much better. Prime 3 is definitely my favorite, but all 3 are timeless classics which I still occasionally play to this day.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart9
Dec 16, 2025
A really great game, with lots of different quirky weapons to play around with. It has lots of action and fun exploration, and really held my interest from start to finish.
I really liked the one on Ps4, so I was looking forward to this as well, and it did not disappoint. It is slightly on the easy side on nomal mode, so if you're a veteran, you probably should try out a harder difficulty for an enhanced challenge.

What a fantastic experience this masterpiece is! Games like this only show up once every 5-10 years, and it stays in your mind for a long time after you've finished it. The world is simply enthralling, filled with secrets to uncover. I have probably played through it upwards of 10 times now, experimenting with different builds. And I still find content I missed in earlier playthroughs. One of my top 10 favorite games of all time fo sure!

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond1
Dec 16, 2025
I was hoping to experience a new Metroid Prime game in all it’s greatness - like past entries, but instead got a mixed bag of modern slop obviously meant to appeal to anyone who’s not a real fan of the original trilogy.
And yes it's true, you actually have to pay an extra $30 for an Amiibo if you want to have music while riding your bike in the desert area, and you'll be driving there A LOT, so get ready for some tedious, silent hours. If this indeed is Nintendo’s way of revitalizing the Prime series, it should‘ve just been left in the desert..
