Same barely improved engine, lots of reused assets from the first two games (with some AI-upscaled textures, yay). Normal enemies are too easy; they simply do not have enough health and do not deal enough damage. Boring "wannabe ER"-like open world; I'd rather have proper mission-level game structure, with bosses at final points. Character switch mechanic is not something I personally care about. Deflect feature arguably makes combat worse, by mostly nullifying stamina management and by switching focus away from dodging (which has more nuance than deflecting) and from positioning in general. There is lack of atmosphere in areas and lack of aesthetically appealing visuals. Story is bad. Game feels more like a big mod or expansion, and not like a proper high quality triquel. Overall, quite disappointed. I'm writing all of this as someone who is acquainted with the series since the "closed alpha" of the first game.

This game is a slow burn. Exploration, combat and character progression are enjoyable and will keep you going. I will probably get a few dozen hours out of it at the minimum. Graphically Crimson Desert is outstanding, atleast with a high-end pc (I'm also using Lg Oled C5 tv). Ray reconstruction is too heavy to run even with a 5090 though (in 4k native resolution). You can criticize garbage mess of a story, awkward controls and menus, **** Stable Diffusion paintings on the walls, frequent pop-in and low res textures. But what is truly unforgivable, is that there isn't any busty elven ladies in bikini armor. Which is unexpected for a korean fantasy rpg. Devs, really, wtf.))

Enjoyed the game quite alot aside from the last two chapters. Combat was fine, bosses were okay, level design is good, main character is very attractive (but could probably use more personality in addition to the looks), some of the vistas are nice to gaze at, graphics is solid as of 2025-2026. If you're not completely burned out on "souls-likes", I could definitely recommend this game. It manages to provide it's own unique flavor of souls-like. With Nier and Stellar Blade we had "sexy girl goes postapoc sci-fi" action games, with Wuchang we have "sexy girl goes medieval China". Medieval Europe or Middle-East next maybe?:) Hopefully with level of quality that is atleast about the same as above-mentioned titles.

Story, quests, characters and character designs are not great. Locations lack in atmosphere. Aesthetically nothing in the game really stands out. Character creator leaves a lot to be desired; prosthetic options are cool, I suppose, but there is no body sliders of any kind; game developers should really look at something like Nioh 2 as a minimum baseline of what character editor should be. Combat was mostly okay. Played on the hardest difficulty and haven't gotten stuck on anything; it was pretty chill for the most part (saying this as someone who is mediocre, but decently experienced in the FPS games). Leveled mainly "speech" and "lockpicking" with occasional points in the "guns" and "observation". AI is not very good when it comes to both the enemies and the companions; when it comes to enemies, you can easily cheese them by disengaging and reengaging. Performance is bad in relation to the graphics that is on display. Currently I am level 25. Not sure if i'm gonna bother finishing this. First OW was not exactly an incredible game, but overall was more enjoyable than this one (in no small part due to feeling fresh).

Dropped soon after getting to Egypt. It was just too boring to play through. Unless you're a big Indiana Jones fan and/or puzzle adventure enjoyer, it's kinda hard for me to recommend this game. Will point out, graphically it's very nice. But at max settings, graphical fidelity does not justify the hardware requirements. P.S. RTX Hair feature would have fit something like Stellar Blade way more - a game where you actually stare at the character constantly. Maybe you could have actually noticed the effect there.

What the hell is this character design, Lmao. Look at the Vanillaware games (like Dragon's Crown), and then look at this. Yikes. Gave Absolum a chance... It's one of those games where politics chokes aesthetics.

Too short, too easy and too streamlined. Seikret and ranged looting ruin the immersion and exploration. Game isn't running that great even with 5090 + 9800x3d. To make the game not look like a blurry flickering mess, you have to force DLAA/DLSS transformer model through nvidia app. And install a mod that disables TAA. Story is garbage.

Hades II

Game is quite good overall. Plenty of things I would personally criticize it for though. 1. Played a bit during the start of early access, gotten Chronos relatively quickly there. Started a new save for full release, killed Chronos on run ~8, gotten to credits on run ~26 (not counting chaos trials and mandatory Surface failures). I still have no clear understanding for half the Chronos' moves and kinda just burst him down. Felt like final boss of Hades 1 was harder while at the same time had much better readability. 2. Unavoidable and stacking debuff from Eris made to prevent you from progressing the game too quickly is certainly a design choice. Can't say I totally hate it, but seeing it run after run for sure was annoying. 3. There is not enough gods with full sets of boons. If there was like 3 more, would have been nice. 4. Having alternate game route is good (Hades 1 did not have that), but boss and enemy variety is still lacking. 5. Hammer upgrades maybe not as impactful as they were in the first game. 6. Thanatos' Axe is the only weapon I really enjoyed. Where is the bow, a gun, or atleast a sword?.. 7. Final surface area - worst part of the game. Unappealing locations, boring mobs, generic videogame boss. 8. Now, when it comes to character desgins and dating sim aspects. Some designs work well or really well (like Hephaestus), some are "virtue signalling" (Athena) that harm the game. Aphrodite's face is better than in the first game but still looks inappropriate for Goddess of Love. It's like developers are scared to make her too attractive; really weird. As for Melinoe, she could've had wider hips and bigger chest. And some costume options.Bath scenes art is bad and not sexy at all. Makes those scenes kinda off and pointless.

Got to the credits yesterday, during the starting weekend, playing exclusively with random teammates. Was using only Raider (would recommend! Despite Night 3 bosses being a bit rough on slow melee). With all the reused assets, game would have been received more positively if it was just a DLC. Core gameplay loop is really fun, and in the end it's all that truly matters even with whole plethora of issues that Nightreign has. Gameplay is fun even with complete randoms.

Beaten the game in 28 hours (a few of them afk). Mostly leveled hp and equipment weight, and partly due to that the game was very easy. Aesthetically and gameplay wise Lies of P feels largely derivative of Bloodborne, DS, etc. Somehow got lost in some areas multiple times with them being very linear. Final area overstays it's welcome quite a bit. Main antagonist for sure is a failure (though could've been worse). Key issue for me in the end, is that I was pretty bored most of the way through the game. With all that said, I wish the developers creative growth and success in all their future endeavors. Hopefully there is some potential.

First, I would say Sony is straight up racist against Asian developers. And it's going on for years. Games like BG3 and Witcher 3 show full blown nudity and sex scenes, while showing some cleavage in an asian game is a no go. How is that attitude allowed in the modern "tolerant" world? As for the game itself, it's very enjoyable. Combat is fun, characters are beautiful, outfits are pretty and stylish, exploration is satisfying, music is fun to listen to. My main gripes are with kinda whatever story and questionable voice direction in english dub. And maybe with lack of some harder difficulty available to be selected from the start. As far as the future of the game goes, it would be nice to have updates that will add more outfits and photomode. And in the sequel (if it's to be made), they should allow mixing and matching of different clothes and add the ability to freely dye them.

Might be the weakest RGG game i've played. - Side quests are boring. Main questline ranges from "okay" to downright silly meme stuff (in a bad way). Also, fanservice, obviously. Lots of it. - Mini-games are whatever aside from karaoke, which is enjoyable as usual. - Combat feels very clunky. And is a far cry from Lost Judgment, which probably has the best combat RGG have ever done. - Gear upgrade system is complete garbage. - Weird and hollow relationship system with half the vendors/NPCs you meet. Just Why is it even a thing?.. If you are looking to get into Ryu Ga Gotoku series, i would strongly advice against playing this game first. Yakuza 0, Yakuza Lika a Dragon, and Judgment - are all fine starting points.
