I'll just say one thing, the combat in general is phenomenal, at first you may find it very strange but persist a little and see tutorials on youtube that are really worth it. The story is pretty mediocre. And let me tell you something, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne = Monster Hunter World 2. The story is better than the base game and the difficulty of the climb is very good, the only problem is that some of the DLC monsters 'move' too, glad they changed them in the new Monster Hunter Rise. The graphics are good, especially the scenes. Beaten with 49.5 hours base game on save. The DLC passed from 100 hrs.

Nothing against stories with subjective nuances, but one almost totally like this is that it DEPENDS on you to read files to understand something, I consider it simply BAD (at least the execution point). The gameplay is the star of the game, very frenetic and delicious. You are a Jedi/God. Most of the 'levels' are reasonable but man, the Ashtray Maze is absurdly good. Some puzzles are good and some are not so good. Soundtrack taking off by Ashtray Maze is basically non-existent.

This game was obviously made just to farm on top of the original Minecraft. This is probably why the game in general has little inspiration, creativity and is very short. BUT this does not mean that the game is to be played out. It's fun and playing with a friend adds to the fun.

Considered by many the best Dark Souls, simply for being the first one I would say. Dark Souls III is superior in all aspects compared to this game. But if you've zeroed and done everything in Dark Souls III and want more, play this game because it's good. I thought that not having the teleport until Anor Londo was very fine, since the shortcuts and such manage to keep the exploration and backtracking very good until then. I think the soundtrack is kind of hard to evaluate because it basically only has a boss fight soundtrack, and the boss fights are good. I don't like this 'format' very much. But man the music of the final boss fight is amazing. But damn, the 'remastered' of the title is almost an embellishment since the game is basically identical to the first game, they didn't fix anything and improved almost nothing.

It is a remake of the Nintendo GameCube classic. At the time maybe it was something more special, but nowadays it's an average game for good, with a fun and cool exploration to pass the time. But for me personally this style of play doesn't appeal so much. I admit that there is a lot of creativity and originality in general in the concept of the game, and it's good to see Luigi having a greater representation in the games.

However, for some moments that you just walk, I'm not talking about the beautiful contemplative moments, I'm just talking about corridors or straight floors.

The game drinks heavily from the source of JRPGs in general and despite this it can be quite unique. Haven's story is totally character-driven, and it's not even focused on their development but on the interactions between Yu and Kay. I love the interaction of characters and I sometimes complain about the lack of them in stories, what they did here was very unique, especially if we consider that the game already starts with them together, it is a lesson for many entertainment media (especially Japanese ones I would say ). The conversation with Yu's mother and the drama between her and Kay was very realistic and very good (it's the highlight of the game towards the end). The dialogue with the guy who was supposed to be Yu is very good. It is strange to think that the game has 4 characters and 2 of them appear in only 1 scene each, the two supporting actors could have more appearances, in flashbacks at least. What brings me to my biggest criticism, not showing the past was something that bothered me a lot, just that the protagonists comment directly and some scenes appear on the loading screens. The loading screens are very good, you can imagine a whole mini story on them, sometimes they are just funny or even dramatic, in short, the variety of them is very good. The game has 2 endings, I made the 'right' choice and I only saw the 'good', although it was a bit bittersweet, as Yu was a little silly, they paid the price of freedom, which was fair and the epilogue is cool. Amazing how ALL the lines have VA, and he is very good. I didn't understand anything about Opening but I liked it. The ending of the game is cool too.

This is an indie game with a big budget and some really cool ideas that I hope will affect Roguelike's genre. The beginning of the story with finding out about your mother is cool, but this is one of the only cutscenes in the game. They put a lot of expectations in the story and I was really disappointed, you have to go to play for the gameplay. But what surprised me was the amount of dialogue with the characters and how everyone has VA even though it is an indie game. I got True Ending, I don’t know if it’s worth it but it’s pretty good. I had the relationship with Meg and it was very meh, but the system of giving the offerings and finding out more about the characters is something very cool. When I dropped the game in the first 2 hours, I thought that the eternal upgrades are kind of bad and took too long to upgrade. Then I decided to **** and just get well and started to like the game more and then I started to unlock good eternal upgrades quickly. Currently several games have some luck system (RNG) within their gameplay, either in the criticism of their attacks or in the game loot. But Hades builds his gameplay totally surrounded by "luck", with each 'run' you get totally different skills, the only possible side that I see in this is variety of gameplay but it is possible to create this variety in several other ways. I didn't really like the 'structure' of the gameplay, but the combat itself when you have at least a decent build is very good. And after the 3 boss, in the Nyx temple, the gameplay was much more boring than the previous 3 dungeons, the idea of the dungeon to go after Cerberus' food and choose the rewards is interesting. But the claustrophobic level design, enemies with HP as hell spamming those pools of poison everywhere, low variety of enemies and it's not just one or two of these levels, it's one after the other. At first it is highly irritating and after you learn to cope it just gets a little boring. The Heat system is very interesting and adds a lot of replay value. The variations of bosses is something very interesting, with each run the first 2 bosses change slightly. The soundtrack is good but little varied and only plays in a few 'rare' moments. The sung songs that play in some moementos are good, there are 4 of them if I'm not mistaken.

This is one of those indie gems, which has improved in some ways compared to its predecessor. The story has a certain connection with the first game, but it is possible to understand it without playing it. I liked it a lot more than the first game in general. It was much better than I expected and still had a twist at the end. Despite this, the focus of the game is by far the gameplay. Which by the way is very good and fun, you need to calculate your actions and be really cold-blooded. The camera more focused on your character made it easier for people to see / watch your character. The goals made the game easier (compared to the first), but it made it a little more arcade and fun in general. They increased boss fights (two in this case). The first is simple, but very functional. And the final boss is very interesting and has a concept behind it, although it is more of a puzzle because after finding out how to beat it is easy. In addition, the game has a decent replay factor. I found the graphics very good, they are in a phenomenal 2.5D that is rarely seen. Descending soundtrack.

The gameplay is very good and different, it’s not just headshot everyone. Really bad that the game does not have HUD (and it is not needed). The Plasma Cutter (the 'main' pistol) is really cool. Very cool skill tree, it reminds me of FF X, but less deep. The story is below average overall but has 2 twists near the end. For the time that came out the graphics were absurd, nowadays it's okay. Some scenarios are repeated. The soundtrack adds a lot to the experience, due to the ambience and jumpscares (light by the way), but it's not a big deal. I had a very serious bug, which the elevator does not reach and you are obliged to close the game and load your last saved save.

You don't have to play the first game to understand this one. The game's introduction is really good. The way they introduced 'Pilots' and the tutorial was very natural. The starting plot is pretty good. The story is 'short' but it didn't have to be longer and its pace was good. The end is slightly expected and honestly it is quite a cliché ending, especially in the FPS genre. The gameplay outside the Titan is already good, but inside it is even better. The variation of gameplay within your Titan is huge, thanks to the 7 'classes' that dramatically alter the gameplay within it. Melee combat owes a lot, but it's obviously not the focus. Level design is great for the style of gameplay they did, something that is extremely necessary here, otherwise the frantic gameplay would not work. The stages were excellent overall. I played on the PC and the graphics were so beautiful. The soundtrack is only used when necessary, nothing remarkable.

Almost straight sequence in the first game, at least in my view. I was at the beginning of this one, I stopped and went to play Ghost of Sparta. In some ways I prefer the first game and in some this one. The story of God of War 2 is much more complex in narrative aspects than the first, but I liked it a little more, Kratos' story captivated me. The 'prologue' is quite frantic and cool to play. But the beginning of the game is really strange, Kratos is very pissed. I did some research and saw that Ghost of Sparta was made between the first and the second game 'fixing' this hole. Zerei Ghost of Sparta and I recommend playing before that. Anyway, my main criticism of the story was the presentation, I found the rhythm of the story very bad, at first it was reasonable but here the distance of each cutscene worsened a lot. Only the beginning and end of the game are full of them. Apart from that the game ends in the 'climax' of Kratos' story, which at first is badass, but the truth is that it is kind of a joke. The gameplay is better in general, but without major changes. The parry system is much more useful and is much more 'complex' than in the first game. The number of boss fights increased a lot compared to the first game, but that left most of them in that little striking. Some pretty bad sequences, like the one with the falling pillars and the one with the skeleton elevator. In the first game, this was practically non-existent. You can use 2 weapons 'at the same time' and the way of combining the two is reasonable, personally I didn't do much combining despite switching between 2 constantly. The puzzles remained good but I found them a little inferior in general. Some checkpoints are 'bad', something I had no problem with at first. Many things were reused in the first game, with slight changes, from textures to enemies, combos, and a specific skill. The graphics are very similar in general. The cinematics are fantastic, they were good in the first one, but here they are absurd. The soundtrack remains very unique and characteristic of the saga. I found it decent but very little varied.

It is a game with cooperative puzzles and a considerable amount of action, especially later on. In addition he has a lot of focus on storytelling. It is a very interesting cooperative experience. It's a game from the same creators as Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. The story of the game starts out a little strange, you don't understand until after a while that the plane scene is in the future and they didn't know each other until the first meeting. The story is very simple and cliché in general but it keeps you entertained and wanting to see more, which is good. The plot twist at the end is really good, but I thought there was a lack of forshadowing from him (some 'tips' from him before), except that he makes you feel a little bad. The 2 finals of the game I didn't like so much but this is something personal, because in technical matters he is very good (direction, gameplay and script). For the time of the game the protagonists are quite deep, they did a good job with the assistants too. Gameplay. The action is good and the controls are very interesting. Decisions that affect 'missions' are pretty cool. I just found the puzzles (the focus of gameplay) too easy and simple. In Brothers, the difficulty of this item was much greater in general. The minigames are cool. The soundtrack does not add so much, except for one moment in the end of the game, that it is really good.

Final Fantasy X-2 is an average game in general, I recommend it if you want to see the consequences of the events of the first game and want a much lighter and happier game (despite having some small emotional moments). The story has a 'prologue' to a show that is ok, but the first real arc in the story is pretty bad. The whole theme of hunting like spheres was okay, but the way they did it with those stupid LeBlanc interactions was pretty rough. Later on we have a context for LeBlanc and she becomes a more pleasant character (despite being tainted by the horrible presentation). At the end of chapter 2, the story takes a slightly more serious and less boring turn. The political issue for an interesting idea, but it didn't really affect Yuna's 'main' story. Personally I liked Paine because she is the only one who has a real serious tone to the main characters, but the way her story was handled did not please me (the story itself was okay). The Gullwings in general was one of the 'light' aspects that pleased me most in history. The game has some emotional moments, but almost all of them are due to the events in the first game. And the 'new' emotional moments don't have much weight due to the lack of 'context', focus and detail on the history of the past there (I don't want to give spoilers). Perhaps my main criticism of the story was that it has too much secondary content that has significant importance in the story or simply adds to it or the world, unlike FF X. The fight is very different from the first game but I still consider it a good fight, but I certainly found it worse. It involves much less strategy, but more timing and reflex. This is not exactly a problem and only that when I play a turn-based RPG I want a combat as strategic as possible. The game has a new movement system, only in the last dungeon did I discover how to use the 'right' of the jump system, you have to keep holding the button (strange). But I admit that this system made it possible to add another layer to the level design (even if it was sometimes misused). The change in Yuna's personality and a very complex theme, I thought it was kind of forced, for sure, but from what I had read I thought she had changed from water to wine but I didn't think she had changed so much. As for the design ... the face and hair I found peculiar, that '' 'strand' '' of her hair, especially the face, I just didn't understand why it changed. A good OST like others is average. Another thing was that the story had billionaire, even compared to Final Fantasy X. Obviously I thought Good Ending was very good, but I recognize that it 'spoils' a certain aspect of the original story (100% True Ending, I didn't think it was so much better). And although I tried unfortunately I couldn't get Good Ending. At the end of the day, I would say that this game was made 110% to farm on fans of Final Fantasy X, which at the time was a huge success and success (I would say unexpected) from Square. It is the second best seller in the franchise.

If you like open world RPG with an interesting lore, I highly recommend this game. This is not my case but I ended up giving the game a chance and I definitely didn't regret it. The beginning of the story is interesting, Aloy sector in a very natural way, and when the time comes for the test, there is a break of expectation with unexpected ones. But after that, the 'second arc' is pretty boring. There comes a part of the story that has a 'more primitive policy' that is very interesting. Some nomenclatures do not follow naturally as in some great games (tribes mainly). The mysteries are cool, but in this game you know you have something behind certain things. I find it a lot more awesome when something you thought was normal, having a twist or a revelation that you didn't even see. The final mission is pretty cool. The final battle of the game I thought was weak, it doesn't even have a Boss ending. The gameplay against the machines is a bow monster hunter with some mechanical extras, I liked it. Melee combat against machines is ok, but against humans it didn't work very well. I really liked the physics of the game. I was only surprised at the climbing system at first, but then I got used to it, extracted too automatically. The graphics in general are very good (for PS4). The scenarios are good. Some faces are very ugly, especially outside the cutscenes. Not even for the developers to make a cutscene when you climb the tower and the game reveal things from the past (during this campaign), did holograms run in the game, I found it very weak. Soundtrack is reasonable, it didn't add much to my experience but it didn't do it badly. I found several bugs, graphics, in the world and one in particular that I was stuck in a hole impossible to get out of the map. I didn't expect that from such an old game. The DLC is quite decent, adding lore and giving a sense of what the possible sequences will be about. The final boss is much better than the original, unique, challenging game (it may be because I was 15 levels below) and the fight still has interesting mechanics.

The gameplay is very unique with a focus on stealth and the various ways of completing a level, generating a very high replay value. The maps in general are very good and have 'secret' areas. I just thought the game is too easy. The story. She is very ok, but let's agree that nobody plays hitman for the story. The protagonist has no goal and does not seem to seek anything, it is just a tool. But my real problem with the story is because it is divided into chapters, the end of the game is totally open, they could have closed an arc or something like that and therefore my 'low' grade. The graphics are so beautiful and the cutscenes even more (even being a billionaire). The soundtrack adds practically nothing to the experience.

God, I started playing and I couldn't stop. The game has a story that kept me focused on it and with some really good points, the main characters and some are very good, the gameplay is great, good soundtrack, good sidequests and interactions between the characters. Really good game. The story is very good even though it is generic in some points, it has a plot twist, two moments that I found exciting, some interesting tactics, a great pace and a very nice ending. The part I thought was great about the story is how most of the missions in history advance the plot for a credible reason and often have a reason behind it to happen (it's not: a group of underdogs is attacking the village, let's protect it or you are going somewhere and in the middle of the way you are intercepted by guards, it happened in the classic Fire Emblem and this time). The way it is told is much better than its predecessors thanks to better hardware and a larger budget. The last half of the game mainly some of the missions have strategies behind the political reasons for happening (which they already had before), which was really cool. You feel Chrom's growth during the story. I chose the end of the 'protagonist' and in the end they did something very interesting. My biggest problem with the story was that all the villains were unmotivated, just bad. Fire Emblem likes to pretend it ended the story in the middle of the year. The gameplay. Being brief is Fire Emblem and his gameplay is great (it was literally hard to stop playing), the map and the battles in them were a really cool addition. The mechanics of "Pair Up" between the characters was a unique addition to this Fire Emblem and very interesting, generating new tactics only possible in this game. The last maps I found bad, they are very open and involve much less strategy than the first ones. Until chapter 15 I found most of the maps great, but from 19 onwards for me the game was lost in terms of maps. All side quests (except the first 4) are very good, adding to the characters and gameplay, literally. The cutscenes are great (but there could be more), the only problem with them is because they are Fire Emblem and their characters can die the cutscenes are all with immorrible characters (and there are very few that if they die it's game over) which damages the story a little and his immersion, not even his character, who is a protagonist, does not end up actually appearing thanks to the customization that the game provides. And the graphics are pretty decent for the 3DS. The game has a lot of characters, actually too many, and the fact that you can support S rank among practically all the characters made the conversations very generic and mediocre in general (Intelligent Systems laziness but anyway), considering how many characters did a good job all the Suports I saw I found at least ok. Supports between parents and children are one of the best. I saw a lot of people complaining that it was almost a 'dating yes' or something like that, but the romance is almost non-existent even in the 'supports', excluding the S rank. Chrom is a very good character has an ok development (but I thought he was good too much). Your avatar has personality and interacts a lot in the story, I liked the way this system was made (I thought I was a good kkk character). The soundtrack is very good but it doesn't have as many OSTs as I would like. The dubbing is very good although practically nonexistent. I played on Hard and the difficulty was good but I found the game relatively unbalanced. On Hard, enemies are stronger and there are extra or more frequent reinforcements. The mechanics of "Pair Up" becomes much more important in this mode, although you do not need to master the mechanics completely to be successful. One problem is that if you want to have a really good troop of characters you will need to grind, otherwise you will have 4 or 5 OPs characters, 1 or 2 okays and the rest is to die and the worst is that you can reset the game only with these 5 OPs and this is one of the reasons I said that the game is unbalanced. I grinded a little to have 5 or 6 okay characters besides the OPs.

this is an FPS that has some differences that I have never seen before. The protagonist is a character with personality and the story revolves around him in a way that makes sense. The soundtrack also adds to the game generating immersion. For an FPS the story has a lot of focus and a lot of cutscenes. The prologue is very good. The plot is very cool, and its development is really cool in some parts. The characters are one of the best I've seen in an FPS, but they are relatively weak compared to good RPGs (but being fair, an FPS doesn't have the same time to develop them). Level design is pretty good. The graphics are very good (for 2020) especially if we consider the time when the game was released (2014). The range of enemies is large enough. The game generates a lot of variety in each mission, nothing too absurd but different enough and good. Your arsenal constantly changes, diversifying your weapons or giving them improvements. And the nightmares are fun. The difficulty curve was well thought out. The only defect for me in gameplay is the way to change weapons, it's not very good (you have too many, so changing by numbers is bad and that roulette is very mediocre).

This game doesn't have a very high budget, as you can see some savings, but something that it doesn't save is in the script, very well written, different from several AAA games out there. However, I felt a little potential wasted in the story. The game is very creative, generating a good variety of missions and events. He's unlike anything I've ever played. I thought the third case was somewhat unsolved, none of the suspects seemed right. The last case I thought was pretty much too. What I found most interesting is that you miss the culprit, always leaving you with one foot behind and theorizing a lot. I liked how Sherlock is idealized by others, he has defects, is manipulative, has family problems and does everything to solve a case without caring about the feelings of others. But he is certainly a great detective.

The level design is very good. The races are mass. The robotic earthworm phases brought a cool variation on gameplay. And changing characters was cool. But the game has lost some of its essence by making you explore the map and not focus on running faster and faster and not dying in the process. The Tails workshop is also cool. Now, to be rejecting the stages to catch useless collectibles and can advance the story is awesome. The game has 34 medals and you need to get 30 to face the Boss final. It is one of the Sonic that has more focus on the story (which I liked), only that I found it ultra mediocre, but nobody plays Sonic for the story. Good but rare Cutscenes and the dialogue between phases are cute, and the cool thing about it is that they add a little depth to the characters. It's a different type of Sonic and it's definitely not bad. You just have to play it open minded and focus on having fun.

The level design is excellent and well diversified. And some worlds are really challenging. The game is full of new controls compared to its predecessor. The difficulty of the boss's fights is one of the biggest in the franchise (at least like normal Sonic). Now you can also select the levels and change your character between them at your discretion. One of the first Sonic films to have cutscenes, but they are very few and barely add. The story is the same as always.

This review has very light spoilers from the beginning of the game. The story is very good. I'm not going to go into too much detail but basically there is confinement and he creates a lawless land and this ends up generating many situations that make the player reflect, an example is what would happen in an environment without the state, people would still be ethical with each other the others. And thanks to this realism and the extreme situation that occurs in the story, it has a very dark and heavy atmosphere, but even so, this tone never gets past the point, because there are some light and funny moments (which are very welcome). The 'biblical' elements of the story really pleased me. The characters have a lot of focus on the story, and some have very complex development arcs within it, there are 2 arcs of two very good specific characters, from Keisuke and Midori, there is some really cool development to change your thoughts, and by the way this change it is very difficult (as it should be). In addition to the mysterious and intriguing plot, the feeling of tension in this game is very great and very good, there is always some urgency or some danger and there is always something that will happen in a few days or a few hours, leaving the player very curious and anxious. Often, the real danger of the characters' death (they can die and affect the story) is something that also ties you to the game. The atmosphere is very immersible, the title survivor lives up to the game. This theme of survival has a lot of focus in the first 5 days, in addition to being very realistic the script makes it work in a smart way. The game has a message system, that at the beginning of the day it counts some events that will occur during it (but it is vague). And the script being very smart takes advantage of that and creates a great rhythm and even 'telling' what will happen he manages to remain unpredictable enough. The dialogues at night are a moment of interaction between the characters and a moment of summary of what happened on the day, I found something very good, because the story is long and you may end up forgetting 'less important' things (it is worth mentioning that this summary is optional). The Naoya route is very good, but the end of the original game is very open (it's good, more is very open), in the Overclocked version they gave a much more decent direction and closure, I really liked the outcome of the post game technically still having ended up open (and this is VERY rare for me). The only defect of this route is that Keisuke, Haru and Gin didn't even appear on the 7th and 8th of the Naoya route (not even at the end of the game!). The story revolves around the characters a lot and if it weren't for them the story wouldn't be so good. The characters are very deep, have backgrounds, add the narrative, some are developed in the middle of it and everyone has their own beliefs and point of view (as I said this game generates many different reflections and points of view are important for this). The disagreements of thoughts within the party are quite interesting. Confinement affects a lot and everyone in it, everyone deals with it in a very different way (and these ways are very realistic), some are selfish and want to use demons as slaves to do their job instead of them, some want to use demons to stay strong and oppress the weak, some just cling to life, a few want to help others and so on. Another very interesting thing is that depending on the route you choose, some characters can enter, continue or leave your party and the determinant of this is whether what you chose coincides with what each character believes. But there was a lack of a better introduction of each character, it should have given more focus to the before and after confinement, showing the direct consequences on the personalities of each character, and this did not happen because the story wanted to mesh too quickly (barely enough time to introduce the 3 main characters). And in my opinion I thought that the game has few dialogues in general and I missed the more mundane and everyday dialogues of the characters (the dialogues needed to be more frequent). I wanted to know more about them and the party's relationships with each other, for example: the friendship relationship between Yuzu and Midori and etc. (some characters have it but most don't). Another bad thing is that half of them are very generic, but as there is the other half and even the clichés have their unique points to reveal. The gameplay of this game is divided into 2 parts, combat and 'survival'. The survival system is how history occurs. The game has a system of days and one of hours. You have a number of specific character events that you choose which to do and in what order to do (aside from some events that are mandatory for the story's progress), something worth noting is that the order in which you see the events of the characters can change some future events.

This is Yoshi's first port game for Game Boy Advance. The gameplay is a Mario mixed with Kirby and some more unique aspects of this franchise. The game starts extremely easy and more towards the end it has some very challenging moments. Star Mario adds a nice gameplay diversity, but unfortunately it is little used. The game also has some morphs that bring a good diversity. The story is basically a pretty stupid fan service but it does its job. The soundtrack is good and unique but too repetitive.

Definitive version of the Sinnoh generation. The first generation of pokemon that had a decent OP. The region map is ok. She has great starters. And Sinnoh's Pokédex is good too. Gameplay is slower than normal. Pokétch was a really cool addition. In the game there are also several moments when you pair with a character, I thought it was really cool. The twisted world was a cool puzzle and a nice addition to the story. Pokemon Platinum is a little more difficult than Diamond and Pearl and ends up being one of the most difficult in the franchise because some bosses have a high level gap (for Pokemon), have Berrys who recover their HP and use potions. Nothing too difficult but for the Pokemon standard the difficulty is quite high. You have very little freedom when choosing gyms (you can choose the order of 3 of them if I'm not mistaken). The story in general and especially the beginning is very basic without anything innovative. The Looker is a very cool character, who added the story. Professor Pokemon had a lot of appearances in the story, they haven't changed much but overall it was ok. Cynthia appears at various times as well, but her appearances are quite random and only served to familiarize the protagonist with the champion of the region. Barry was an ok rival, with a cliché personality never before used in the franchise, he had a decent development during the journey. The villain, head of the Galactica team is an interesting villain but his motivation was very weak. The Galactica team is very dark (and very stupid), and had a specific moment when they made 3 legendary suffer to reach their goal that surprised me. In short the first half is as usual and the second is ok. The soundtrack is one of the best and most diverse in the franchise.

The Last of Us Part II

The Last of Us Part 2 is a game about consequences, trauma, revenge, redemption, emotions and love. And all of this is very well portrayed by the almost impeccable direction. Which makes sense as more than two thousand people worked on the last of us 2, but for that many people working on a game, personally it ended up becoming disappointing. Gameplay against humans is more difficult mainly thanks to dogs, but to balance you have silenced weapons. And against zombies easier thanks to new weapons, plenty of resources and Ellie's pocket knife. The addition of a Boss fight was interesting. The skill tree is much more complex than that of the first game, but most of the improvements are totally superfluous. The real problems are the fact that it is basically the same gameplay as 7 years ago and it ends up becoming quite repetitive and tedious towards the end of the Abby part, because you need to explore "all over again", the combat gets repetitive, your equipment and improvements are basically reset. Melee combat has improved, now it's more skill and less luck (except against dogs). The level design remains great. Ellie's diary is a really bad addition, I never thought a diary would add so much depth to a character. The game is very linear 99% of the time but still has a lot of focus on exploration, there are those who like it and some who don't, personally I liked it. The narrative again is very simple, but the feelings generated, the consequences of these simple actions on people and their emotions are very complex. And unfortunately the story focuses a lot on the development and personal drama of certain characters and there is very little development in the relationships between them (which was the focus of the first game), it hurt the game too much. This script is much better than that of the first game, much more directions and unpredictable events (in the first game there were exactly 2 that surprised me). But even with more events, these events end up being small and do not change the course of history much. The story of the first game is more 'solid' than that of this one, the general coverage was greater, it is easier for people to like it. For example: in the story of this one if you don't like Abby, half the game becomes horrible (for me it even worked). So it ends up being very personal if you think this game is better than the first, mainly because its strengths are different. The problem with the way they "folded" the story was that the predictability of it would compromise on the other half, since the story was bound to happen in a certain way. In addition to the huge problem generated by you being totally immersed in Ellie's story and what will happen next, only you need to "reject" the same story to continue where you left off and when you get there you are no longer filled with hatred , grudge, thirst for revenge and full of the urgency of what will happen next. What could be a problem for many was the fact that the game humanized characters only after you killed them, so their deaths had no weight. Personally I didn't think it was so bad because I don't think they needed to have a narrative weight, the goal was to kill the characters out of anger at what happened to Joel, the problem was that their humanization for me was relatively useless, it wasn't bad or tedious, just unnecessary. You can argue that it served you to see the other side of the story and regret it, and it's all right. I also thought that Abby saving and caring so much about Lev and Yara was forced and the script knew it and **** I found it very interesting how certain characters simply die with a shot to the head and thanks, you have to keep surviving and fighting. But the problem with this is that the script seems to have completely forgotten that they existed after their deaths, there is no more mention of them. And there is the fact that the dead characters are very superficial and have a tiny focus during the story. Another problem was that the first half of the game is far superior to the second and it bothers you during the game. And for some reason the writer appeals to pregnant women too much to make you care about the characters. Joel's scene is very good but it happened too soon, it lost much of its impact. And this scene needed to be much more impactful, one way that I saw many talking about would be to put the flashbacks before his death would solve this. Maybe it would solve more I liked how all the flashbacks were embedded in the story (with the exception of the party flashback that Ellie kisses Dina, this one was too late for no reason and could have helped in the initial immersion of the game). I think they needed to have given more focus to Joel before he died, before the sequence of his death he doesn't even appear, if they had created some current everyday scenes of Ellie and Joel it would have been a lot better, but it looked like they wanted to rush right to it.
