Shattered Crystal isn't your typical Sonic game... Instead, it's a competent maze-based platform game that you'll probably enjoy.

It is fun whilst it lasts and is definitely deserving of a play through. This is Sonic, just not quite as he was previously known.

I really enjoyed Sonic Boom **** crystal, way better then the broken wii u version my, only issue is that the game is kind of short and I wish the game was longer.

Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal is not that bad. Not as bad as the Wii U version anyway... But it's not really brilliant either. To be honest, the game from Sanzaru is rather well-realised and easy and precise to handle. But it becomes boring quickly: the four characters and the three kinds of levels available can't hide a real lack of good ideas.

And the wait for an outstanding, groundbreaking Sonic continues. Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal does not live up to the expectations due to a dull level design, a sub-par outlook and gameplay that is simply not compelling.

Sonic Boom: Crystal Shards could have been, if not a good Sonic game, at least a decent 2D platformer, with its pros and its cons. But SEGA and Sanzaru Games have inexplicably decided to kill their own creature by adopting a really cheap trick: in order to progress, it is necessary to play the same levels over and over again.

The sorry "story" segments largely amount to random combinations of the four main characters trading bad jokes, such as running the difference between "who" and "whom" into the ground.

Another unspeakably bad platformer that beyond its more general faults seems to purposefully misunderstand the appeal of the entire Sonic franchise.

The Wii U version of Sonic boom was actually fairly decent GGoldMile, but this one just makes it look a bit inferior. Good game, I love the adding of sticks to it, kinda makes me feel like I'm playing Sonic Rush Adventure but with a distant-relative of Marine being a playable character. Nostalgia.

It’s actually kinda fun? Definitely too slow for a Sonic game, but I wouldn’t call it bad, it’s pretty competent in what it’s doing.

Nostalgia aside, I think the game is good, but not the best of Sonic games. But one thing for sure, It's way better than the Wii U port. (a.k.a "Rise of Lyrics") 71/100

**** Crystal: this game is so bleak it makes me wonder why people give it 10 or 8. It's better than Sonic 2006 and Rise of lyric but it doesn't feel like a "Sonic game". Dimps where are you making the good Sonic handhelds?
