i do not want to grind old content over and over and over and over and over and over for a super tiny small mini cutscene or anything that resembles a game progress in hindsight of a story . the original story was "ok" but the "game pass" is a joke.. grinding hours upon hours of dusty old boring game modes in order to get to play against one of 6 recycled end bosses is **** at best,.. the nerfs add to this.. i want to bit my way through new content.. but i do not even want to breeze through old content.. especially not matroshka style.. first do this then do that before you can do this and then you need to .. frigg this.. new boss , i want to go against that one and not old stuff over and over and over.. and i do not want to change my loadout every friggin month.. im out.

Ghost of Tsushima8
Jul 20, 2020
- love the positivity around the game . and the total lack of everything else than THIS game. - love the visuals and the esthetic of the game it really takes you back to the old samurai movies. - i do not like the similarity to assassins creed .. Its solid, its robust, it does what it came from .. Ghost of Tsushima is doing a solid job and accomplished what it wanted to do . but i do not really 100% like what it wants to accomplish. A super tiny bit of Japanese fairytale and magic would have spiced up the game significantly. i think the game will look way way better on PS5 and i am already not happy with some of the textures being flat and pretty boring , but the overall esthetics is GOOD! and nice and the environments are nice but its really limited by what a ps4 can do. But they made the best of ps4. it drags a bit it feel a bit too similar to assassins creed/Farcry/tombraider/last of us 1/etc etc.. so i am a bit special here because i played way too many open world games already so GoTS feels way too similar but my friend who did not play a lot of open world games likes it way more.. so i would like to have a "skip" button for people like me that have seen the entry of the first boss a 1000000 times but then it would break the game for first timers. so i give it a 8/10 , its solid, its good, its recommneded, it does what it came here for with a solid performance but for me, this is not enough for a new game but then its the last of the ps4..

The Last of Us Part II2
Jun 26, 2020
The game answers three questions. Sadly none is related to the first part .. - why is forced diversity bad for video games - what are game outlets willing to do for access - how trustworthy are “official” reviews This game takes all of the parts from the first game which were boring but needed and expanded on them in a massive way . The human to human combat was the least interesting and most annoying part of lou1 but if you followed the story you understood that it was needed. And during the play session as Ellie it was created in an interesting way .. in lou2 the combat is almost always the same old human to human combat which wears boring pretty soon and is rather something that is endured than enjoyed. The whole “us against zombies” Is pretty much gone to a tiny bit of the game .. The story is “weak” as in I understand what they wanted to convey, but they clearly missed the mark and made the same mistake as Dr Who season 13 made .. way too many people are brought into the spotlight leaving none with enough time to be developed . Naughty dog should have concentrated on Ellie and Abby and left the others in side notes .. it does and did not work to make the player care for all those brief encounters and stories . And it never will since you need a complete game to be able to relate to a character and some games do not even manage this.. it’s about 8-10 hours game and 10-16 joyless dragging narration you basically care less and less since the protagonists will die anyway .. Moral choice, you have none . Kill them all in the end is not in any shape form and way a “moral choice”.. if you force a character to slaughter its way through the game you can’t call the character out on this . No choice is not a moral choice option. Yea yea environment is beautifull and nice but so was lou1 . No extra points from me here . Cohesion: the single stories are patched together pretty loosely and by character decisions that would not even fly in trainspotting when a character was heavily drugged . That’s not how humans work.. none of it . And so it takes away immersion and creates a disconnect between what’s happening in the game and the player . The suspension of disbelief doesn’t work here .. All in all .. same issue with mass effect andromeda .. on “ok” game as long as you haven’t played the parts before .. the. It’s a simple miss. Naughty dog tried and did not succeed, bringing this idea to life . Try it on sale or as a used copy if you did not play Last of Us 1 .. and if you did play Last of us 1 and enjoyed it, please save yourself the frustration and disappointment. It is not worth it .

Evade with x?, run with holding x?, L3 makes you croutch? Parry with o?, shooiting with d pad? and worse, pause with L1? and the trigger buttons need to be pressed all the way through to even register L2/R2? while the camera sensitivity needs to be turned down to a minimum or else you have a very wonky camera movement , who the heck was thinking that remapping all the basic commands for a video game was a great idea? And no means to change the button mapping ? who came with that idea? The Game is far from being fluid, or integrated.. its a horrible mess when it comes to controls and i havent even started with grafics and story .

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order8
Nov 18, 2019
Star Wars - the good, the bad and the ugly No doubt, this is the game we are looking for. the scenery is gorgeous, the typical star wars nitty gritty environment full of used droid oil flavor is brought back en point and the enemy types so far are great while sometimes frustrating (out of different reasons) The story is an ok 7/10 with quit some flaws and quite some missing parts in the front end.. this game could have seriously used some horizon zero dawn treatment where you played the young eloy before you got thrown into the main story line.. there is no real in game justification for why Cal just seem to have forgotten some of his Jedi powers and needs to replay his old training missions with his Master other the game wants you to not unlock the entire planet at once. the planets are meadow shooter, you have pathways and along them, enemies **** enemy variety is ok to good with some wildlife being way harder than some of the human special enemies. The maps are severely lacking some fast travel options since backtracking to your ship is always required and that backtrack alone makes you not want to go there in the first time.. i have traveled some areas more than i can count during my level up phase; since i remembered that one force power that i needed to remove that barrier only after already having left the planet. As for the combat, there are two type of players .. the devil may cry /bayonetta type and the dark souls, sekiro, nioh, bloodrayne, lord of the lost type.. and if you dont like dark souls style you are not completely lost, but you will feel annoyed.. the combat has a very light "fight telegram" style where you need that one enemy move that you can counter and then hit attack with a series of combos and different attacks, the basic attack lacks almost everything, in mobility, range and damage but this improves over time when you unlock certain moves, which then make some enemy types going from a very tough fight to near trivial like dash strike where you gain an incredible range now but it requires some force.. also force pull and push gives you a suitable replacement for your lacking blaster (no , you cant use it like in control you will have to throw humans.. or other enemies) most frustrating aspect is the complete lack of the traditional healing over time or finding healing items. You start the game with 2 stim packs which give you approximately 50% health back and use some time to use but you cant regenerate any health until you rest and that will respawn all of the enemies.. -.- Another frustrating aspect of the game is that most movements in this game are delayed. You will have to think and button press ahead. Its not as annoying as in Lords of the Fallen where you have to press evade about 5 seconds before the boss even moves, but its noticeable. When i "learned" force push i was hit by that trainings ball a good number of times before i noticed that i need to press it WAY before the ball was close to me in order to hit it. Same goes with evade, or block, you need to think ahead and not just react. the motion controls are in dire need of a more direct response. You will have this 1 second slip, when you go left and then press the opposite direction Cal will keep on moving 1 second to the left before he changes direction.. especially nasty on those sliding sections where this can easily yank you off the track.. The Camera sometimes yanks around you for no obvious reasons and since jumping and sliding in in the direction of the camera, this will let you shoot you off the target. one jumping puzzle i had to do with the activated lightsaber in order to get a bit more control all in all a nice game, nothing ground breaking but in this day and age this is a desperately needed positive entry in the star wars franchise and i would dare to predict that Cal and BD-1 action figures will sell way better than Rose Ticos. advice : start on low difficulty and get higher if you feel like it, other than Sekiro, it does have this bonus and its wise to use it. at least for the first run .

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep6
Oct 7, 2019
"Instructions unclear" please proceed with caution... could have been the title. I was a bit swarmed in the first hours of the gameplay with a lot of questions about the how and why of certain assets the game threw at me.. Good example is the "new" old, "Risk Runner" exotic SMG Quest.. we get a quest out of seemingly nowhere, popping up in your quest log, have to get and perform some tasks and then go back to the cosmodrome, to fight the D1 opening scene devils walker. Just to proceed the quest and eventually get the "Risk Runner" SMG, an exotic that you have gotten anyway in the vanilla D2 campaign. further down the road you will get bounties for weapons that you need to cleanse and the bring to eris morn but you cant proceed until you are at a certain point in the story.. and while all other quests clearly state this in red above the text , this bounties do not indicate that you have to go further in the story. same with the vex invasion game mode.. it states that you should see eris but eris wont be interacting with you until you absolved a vex invasion on the moon.. and the list of either no instructions or very confusing ones goes on and on.. you can find dead ghosts but you have to collect a random drop then show it to eris, trade them in for a quest then find the ghost (you cant find it before you started the quest) and after you found some there are none left to turn that item in.. so you collect those ghost items with no way to use them.. there is also a currency called "vex chassis" that drops from vex all over the system but you seem to need them only once and then never again, yet they litter every encounter with the vex and you can collect them, they just do not show anywhere.. * so there are a lof confusing and misleading things you will have to look up on reddit to get a clue on what to do with it or how to solve a certain quest.. NOT great,.. game-play is mostly the same...finishers break the flow of combat with its dark cloud obscuring the view and cost super energy you will need anyway so its more or less an very rarely used combat mechanic unless you create a build around this.. the new artifact lets you create some mods (sorry solar classes not a single mod for you this season) and adds a whole lot of random stupid mods like "weapon parts on vex Minotaur kills " ? really ? why would i need a mod for this when in am already drowning in weapon parts due to the constant flow of weapons i need to dismantle 24/7? Story is as always , WAY too short , not verbose enough but nice tease of whats to come but as of now there is not really a new enemy or boss in the game that we haven't fought already countless times.. -.- GOOD thing: they finally added matchmakign for nightfalls. but just for the two lower difficulties.. but thats something.. at least.. as of now the dlc seems to be throwing everything at you at once and i am literally worried about the second week. nightmare hunt and vex offensive are great for one time use.. maybe twice.. but then the novelty factor wears off and the weapons and armor isn't really a big factor o grind more if you already have your loadouts.. Negative: Bungie slapped a price tag on the masterwork costs.. (bad idea) and now people have calculated that masterworking a single set of armor would require you among other 1000 masterwork cores and 1.000.000 glimmer.. Bad bad PR when then players consent was "remove masterwork cores from infusion because the cost is too high". although they "technically" did this.

Control6
Sep 9, 2019
Let me Collect my thoughts and find a point to start i will shortcut to the conclusion and then come back to dissect that stuff.. Control is a "Beyond, two souls" meets "Warehouse 13" third person mystery shooter but without the interesting outside shots from warehouse 13 and without that vast story in "beyond two souls" with everything in the game "Control" located inside one giant multidimensional concrete building ... with A gun (to that later) the Story is quite interesting but the developers somehow show no interest in telling the origins to actually set this story up correctly. The Game basically starting with you being the main actor -out of unknown reasons-.. going to this unknown building -out of unknown reasons- guided by an unknown force and encountering an unknown federal agency with unknown origins guided by an unknown "board" to help you with unknown abilities to hunt down an unknown enemy.. and then later during the game you will then get clues about those "unknowns" That is, you are willing to collect and read them .. there are also some video clips to watch, but those are actually glorified audio clips with a video loop playing in the background. One of the issues is, that the prologue is completely missing to set up the main character and her motives.. you start without a clue who "Jesse" is or why she is here or how. You will get insight later in the game but you will have to collect codex entries and have to read them and then see if that entry covers the main Characters story or if that is an information about something different. i found myself going from stopping the game every time i picked up an object to read the codex to simply mindlessly collecting the flashing item on my screen and then scrolling through the codex without reading them. new codex entries have a marker but that marker disappears once you scrolled over them and on ps4 its hard to see those entries since the marker dissappears once you scroll over them. a filter function or simply a sorting new to od would have solved that issue. After you killed any new enemy that showed up, you will also get a new database entry to look up the new enemy type you just killed. The gameplay is sometimes wonky and feels sluggish but nevertheless quite entertaining. Force pushing objects into enemies was fun in Star Wars and is fun here. Frame rate drops are often and in dense encounters you can drop down to single digit frame per seconds The game lacks some "pivotal" moments (It has them, but just at the wrong time, e.g. when you play the sidequests and encounter the bosses there. which is also the only time you encounter real bosses )and it feels that you just run into new encounters on your way to somewhere else. The map design is horrible and most of the time you have to guess and simply brute force your way to the new area by runnign around since you cant even zoom in or see on which level you are. The sigs on the wall are often way more helpfull tha the map. For encounters there is quite some background explanation missing on why and how you get all of your abilities and equipment and how it works.. and most important why.. .. And to be honest, most of the abilities do not fit the playstyle of the game , but you are fine without using them. i havent used a anything for combat than evade and force push. Lets talk about "the gun".. you basically have a handcannon, a shotgun, an smg and a sniper.. all in one "grip" with several different barrels .. but you just need the base gun and level that up. You will find out later int he game that this gun is supposed to be like Mjølnir or Excalibur, but that feelig did not transport itself well. its a nice gimmicky gun. You can kill most of the enemies with the standard gun and finsih them off with a forklift in the face. Some positives: I did nopt know about the SCP but i loved the TV series "Warehouse 13", it really was one of my favorite popcorn shows and i found a lot of parallels in "control" with those "Objects of Power"; thats definitely one of the reasons why i will keep on playing.. what else is left to say? the main actor is not as pretty in the game as in the box art but that's not important, the dialogues are quirky and those "inner monologues" take WAY to long and too much room in the game without realy contributing lore/story sometimes just pops up in your inventory/database without informing you. I will definitely finish the game for the Story although it looks like they somehow tried to bolt on some "endgame" with some challenges and unlockables. I think the story of that game could have been fine without any configurable weapon and character skill trees, its not an RPG .. i do not understand the games media and their willingness to give the game a 100 out of 100 other than to assume this is paid advertisement.. Yes you are allowed to fangirling over this game but this isnt God of War. Fazit: "OK" game.

Far Cry New Dawn2
Feb 19, 2019
Lets talk about the elefant in the room for a second. *since the game has been already well disected and torn apart for good reason on the games lackluster mapdesign, the poor story and poorly implemented other segments. Far Dry "New Dawn" is ubisofts try on the proressive "crowd" amongst PC gamers.. and it seemed that the woke crew was pretty happy with the two black chicks on the cover, celebrating "diversity" and a "new take" to the genre, until someone killed the whole party mood by pointing out that farcry always had the, main villain on the cover. Man, what a party pooper.. but nevertheless, turned out you cant sell copies **** merely on diversity quotas and leave other aspects of the game unchanged, unimproved .. like the map or the base controls or a meager story or basically any other aspect of the game that was not changed to far cry 5. Far cry new dawn is a 15$ dlc to Far cry 5.. and it looks like, that none of the new additions to the franchise was worth the additional 25$ to the audience that ubisoft wanted to have.. ... And while Apex legends with its 2 LGBTQ representations and 3 female legends has shown astonishingly that the mostly male FPS/BR gamers simply arent that toxic masculin about player characters if they are simply good and the game overall is working as intended, games that are putting lgbtq and divesity focus instead **** game system were not doing as well. the games that put on focus instead of creating a good game were seeling bad. So, turns out that diversity isnt a selling point after all, which did surprise actually noone that was going to buy the game, but it seems to be a painful relevation to those people that wanted wokeness inetad of game assets included in their games and hoped for that relatively cheap game asset to boost sales. it did not.. =)

Apex Legends5
Feb 7, 2019
I am not really sure if the world of videogaming needs another old take on the battle royale mode.. ERA sure does since they want to milk the cow before the caravan moves on, so its been an inevitable move for them to bring out their own syringe to tap the seemingly endless stream of revenue that come from an audience that purely plays to not see your own character while still trying to impress the other players by their own looks (they cant see) .. so here we are.. Titanfall 3 was sacrificed on the altar of comerce after titanfall2 was such a good single player game. but thats not what EA wants from a game they want player driven content free of any burden to write story or to create cutscenes and develop a plot. SO here we are.. the newest clone of Fortnite and overwatch minus the builder function but as a hero shooter. i am very sure it will find its fans since the shooter is actually workig and functioning quite well. apart from some inconveniences like not being able to play the tutorial as something other than the medic its been a solid but very limited experience on launch day.. the fact that its free to play further sparks the spreading of that title, its for players that have been too late for the Fortnite bandwaggon and want to start their own hobby as a streamer and "contentcreator" in a desperate shot to make this a living and somehow be the one of the guys that can generate an income with that new game.. (make no guess about it, the game even has the tools for them build in from launch.. ) (i wished the servers of Anthem would have been as thoroughly tested for the vip demo than the server architecture of the robust apex legends launch. But also do not mistake this as anythign other than it is.. it is a pocket money dispenser , aimed at your money for skins and cosmetic upgrades.. which is fine in it self and i really hope on the one hand that respawn gets the money they need to finally make that titanfall 3 game but i also fear that if Apex makes too much money , EA will force Respawn to stick with that boring system. dont get me wrong, if YOU like Battle royale, its awesome for you.. i dont play video games to make my character look like dipped in pink ink with bright green weapon skins. and i do not need to compete in video games tohave a sense of "accomplishment".. i am not a PvP guy and i find very little interest in those game modes compared to a captive story driven environment like for example Halo, "Last of us" or "Enslaved, odyssey to the west".. and similar games.. so i would love to see more of those games and less of those games that should be an offsrping of those.. i dont mind the multiplayer mode in Last of us, or in Tombraider, since the actual game is there.. but carving out a game mode and selling it as a complete game is shoddy and has brought us the pvp modes of a proper Star wars titles as stand alone desasters in the past and will continue so in the future if people will continue buying into it. TL Apex Legends is technically solid, but has no innovation we havent already seen in the last year, and is clearly create to have EA tap into that lucrative Battle royale market..

its mediocre at best and all of it content should have been in the game from release on.. PLUS the game , again, fails to deliver the most needed story arc and explanation.. once again we get the order to kill targets but no real reason apart from "they killed us, so kill them back" no background and the worst : no Queen interaction.. Destiny is REALLY lacking storytelling and on top social features.. i have no clue why destines "community manager" DeeJ stil claims taht Destiny is a "living social environment" while its clearly not.. since there is no possibility to interact apart from 4 worn out emotes with no meaning. The best addition to the game is probably the Trials of Osiris PvP content (and thats fro m a non PvP player like me) since there the loot is, for the first time in destiny, working.. if you get to the lighthouse, you can clam your reward with a guaranteed elemental damage primary weapon.. thats one thing thats utterly lacking in Prison of Elders. even if you beat skolas, its still RNG IF you get an elemental primary , not which, that has to be changed since there is absolutely no incision to play this anymore apart from the grimoire card, since the rewards are quite lackluster with horrible useless perks,, also destiny once again failed to deliver a mean to contact sort, and manage your friends or group, or search for them.. it was still possible to enter every activity in destiny even if you played solo, but with ToO you are doomed to use a third party website or you simply cant start the activity since there is not a simple mean to contact, create or apply for a group in the game.. so much for "play it your way" again bungie forces the player to play it "their" way, which is basically the notorious snowball system to aquire new "friends" for activision and paying customer.. overall, nice addition, should have been free and included in the vanilla game, poe is way to little tempting and the rewards are awefull, ToO needs matchmaking in some form, and the game still lacks any social features, and last but not least there is still absolutely no explanation to the story f destiny and why we are here, where are we from and who are our enemies.. and sadly the taken king looks exactly the same.. seems as if activition wants another "Titanfall" while trying to hold the players..

PLUS it doesnt integrate with the curent game.. the speaker does not do anything, even afte killing the second god of the darkness.. no reaction, no response.. on top how can a studio be so stupid and put a shady dark character up the balcony in the blazing sunlight?

Im not sure why... its a polished disney showcase.. nice to look at , but dont touch or use it.. death zones and invisible walls are like the glass cover on the plastic food in Disneyland. Random loot , disencourages doing difficult missions and encourages finding loot caves (you will always find some) defeating the Guardian in borderlands resulted in a RAIN of Loot.. ok. 99% was crap but it was there. in Destiny killing the hadest bosses grants you nothing. but sometimes ONE Chance to get a good loot =D
