Bungie’s new DLC falls flat due to its rehashed Moon setting, yet there are still moments of brilliance here. The season pass price is hard to justify, but the free-to-play main game gives us hope. [Issue#169, p.94]

Shadowkeep drags out the well-known instead of delivering new impulses.

A good expansions that shines in its most difficult activities, but that does not offer enough content to keep the community engaged for a very long time. The new path taken by Bungie is very promising, though.

mid expansion bad campaign cool raid only 2 good seasons out of the 3 and then seasons went bad because of it the dungeon was good but the only reason people liked it was because most were still doing forsaken content during this expansion

I felt like the majority of complaints regarding this expansion & year of content could've been explained by Bungie finally acquiring the franchise ownership and getting their footing on what they plan on doing with it. The expansion itself had an Okay story campaign. It had a great raid experience & endgame loot. But by comparison to the expansion & annual pass content that came with the franchise's previous expansion (Forsaken), this one was very weak in terms of content quality & quantity.

Shadowkeep is an underrated expansion for Destiny 2 that definitely needs more attention than what it actually is.

Bungie's latest release is a good expansion on its own, but the way it sets the stage for the future of the Destiny franchise is its most impressive feat.

Shadowkeep levels up Destiny to its best. It isn’t perfect, but there is more content than ever before and more options to enjoy it, and gameplay-wise still has no rival.

Reviewing this as everything Destiny 2 has to offer. It is and has been my favourite game for many years and I have spent days on end playing this game like a religion. I admit this game is not for everyone but if you have ever seen any gameplay and thought it looks cool... hop in! it's FREE. Then, see if you are in for the long haul and invest some money. I love this game and I feel for anything I have spent so much time in and I am still enjoying to this day. it can only be a 10.

Earth's Moon was my favorite location in Destiny 1 and I am happy we get to return their. This is the first time I've really enjoyed Destiny 2 as much as I did the first game. There is so much to do in this game. The story is short but that is to be expected and Bungie said themselves that this is only the starting point. The new Vex Offensive game mode is really fun. Awesome new weapons through that and through the moon. The finishers are a really fun addition to the gameplay. I can't wait to get to the raid which I've heard is really fun. The new nightmare hunt thing is cool. There's so many ways to earn gear now. Almost every major NPC has a weekly quest and now there's weekly quests through gamemodes and locations as well. The season pass unlocks are really awesome as well. Much more gratifying than just an engram. I have gotten some really fun stuff from that. The Seasonal Artifact is great as well. It unlocks some great abilities like the Anti-Barrier rounds which let you shoot through shields. Overall I am having a blast with this expansion and I can't wait for what's next!

Where Shadowkeep’s story will take us remains to be seen, but the inclusion of Destiny’s core mechanics in a brilliantly revamped location has reinvigorated Destiny 2 just as it was starting to get a little stale.

There's certainly enough new content here to keep fans interested. Shadowkeep's lunar surface is no Dreaming City, but it holds enough new surprises to make it worth checking out.

Shadowkeep is an expansion that’s brimming with potential that it’s actually poised to capitalize on. Its campaign may be a lukewarm retread through the franchise’s history, but the endgame loop is feeling more robust than ever. If the game’s first post-launch update is any indication, Shadowkeep promises a compelling reason to return to Destiny 2, putting more emphasis on world discovery than an endless loot grind.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is the same satisfying Destiny 2 you've been playing (or not playing) all along. The combat feels good, the art direction's stunning, the lore is mysterious in all the right ways. But it also fumbles in a lot of areas: its campaign is among Destiny's weakest, there isn't a lot of new loot, and its newly introduced systems are so convoluted that I found myself wishing there was a tutorial buried in a menu somewhere. Still, it's a promising start for the future of Destiny 2, which is really what this expansion seems to be as a whole: the baby steps for something bigger, with no end in sight.

While its campaign is enjoyable in the moment, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep never manages to truly shake the fact that we already went to the Moon five years ago. For better or worse, this is just more Destiny, and that’s a positive for those enamoured with the franchise, but anyone who was hoping for a more dramatic overhaul of its core systems and mechanics will be left wanting. Bungie has huge plans for the future of Destiny 2, but Shadowkeep only delivers a small piece of that vision.

I’m enjoying the story 4 hours in and it’s really good step for the destiny franchise

Fun as it is to return to the moon, this ambitious but unfortunately confusing add-on leaves me in a difficult spot. The story is interesting and while it has you literally treading ground you've walked before it's still entertaining nonetheless, however the mission structure for the campaign is easily the most unnecessarily confusing in the franchises

This expansion showed so much promise but I feel is doomed to repeat the same mistakes. Bungie does not seem to prepare and acknowledge the fact that progress from year 2 has now become obsolete and that new players would be flooding servers once again. Instead of acknowledging their mistake and learning with each release they repeat it again and again.
