A fascinating adventure that is hard to absolutely ignore. The game still stands out as one of the most creatively unique and fascinating ideas for a game, with the astonishing aesthetic, the mostly tight and competent platforming, and a game that offers a bit of variety with some of the time trials and the pretty difficult achievement list. Mirror’s Edge is an enjoyable game that perfectly represents the sheer amount of variety that we used to get on the seventh generation of consoles all the time, and still stands out as a fascinating adventure that is still regarded as a cult classic for a reason. This game, with how clunky it can be at times and a bit of an uninteresting plot line, is to me an 8 out of 10 at best. It’s a fairly unique game experience that is also not hard to absolutely ignore. Pretty cool stuff.

One of the most ridiculous games that is certainly a Xbox 360 game and a half. This game is not the faint of heart. It’s a tongue in cheek third person shooter that is an example of a stupid, clunky, and very wacky experience that I’ve ever played. And let me tell you, that this game is legitimately made for me. I first tried it out on a whim on PlayStation 3 as I was looking for titles to play on the console, and this game amazed me so much that I bought it on Xbox, not even realizing that it was Backwards Compatible and I just have not much else to say. Eat Lead is certainly a forgotten trip. This game fits in the camp of being dumb and janky in the best way imaginable. This game is an 8 out of 10. Certainly not perfect, but if you are looking for the dumbest of dumbness, then this game is certainly worth it. Just ridiculous.

The name’s Bond. James Bond. When this game was first announced in 2020, I wouldn’t even know what to really expect from this game, except all I knew that I knew it was going to be an awesome experience coming from one of my other favorite developers of all time, IO Interactive (shortened as IOI), known their groundbreaking and innovative assassination sandbox that is the Hitman franchise. After a long 5 1/2 year development cycle, and with an ambitious scope after developing one of my favorite games of all time, Hitman 3, the question was that is this game that people would hoping it would be like Hitman meeting some bits of Uncharted?Well, I can immediately say that this game immediately brought back the legacy of Bond and delivered a fantastic first adventure with the iconic spy agent from start to finish.Really fantastic combat, that gives me Arkham and classic Yakuza vibes, gunplay that is reminiscent of Uncharted, story’s very strong, really well acted, pretty cool stealth mechanics that’s easier than Hitman, and despite some frame rate hiccups, a bit of a slower pacing, and some annoying sections while in combat, First Light feels like the start of something big that IOI is building up to and absolutely delivered on what it sets out to do. Gibson’s portrayal of the iconic Bond is fantastic and the animation in the facial expressions and environment is really impressive and unreal to look at, and this game is a reminder that the Glacier engine is one impressive piece of technology and continues to get better and better with more titles from IOI. 007 First Light, is nearly perfect. It’s an awesome first time experience for IOI’s take on Bond and captured the essence of what makes 007 a pretty cool and fun experience for spy enthusiasts all around the world. This game to me gets a 9.5 out of 10. Truly an awesome first time and next step for IOI as both a developer and for their 007 games going forward. Super good.

A delightful masterpiece. This game had a lot to live up to, after the many down years of Batman games, including the disappointing Gotham Knights and the disgrace that is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and combined with the fact that TT was gone for 4 years after developing the Skywalker Saga, which had a development cycle that was quite the challenge, and my God, it not only met those expectations, but absolutely exceeded it all. Fantastic gameplay, taking liberties from both classic LEGO and the Arkham series, which is highly influenced with its excellent combat system, the addicting exploration, the satisfying and funny LEGO humor that makes a lot of sense, and is a breath of fresh air having coming from the bad years of what has been happening at WB Games for the past couple of years. This game has definitely earned its place as not only the best LEGO game of them all, but easily one of the best Batman games and one of the most fun superhero games I’ve played in a very long time. Legacy of the Dark Knight is something special. It’s already up there as one of my favorites of 2026. This game is a delightful and beautiful masterpiece. This game gets a 10 out of 10. Talk about a game right there that is a match made in heaven. To say that a LEGO game is a 10 out of 10 is crazy to say that, but it honestly is, and that’s what makes it even more special.

Oh boy… this is one hell of a musical trek if I’ve ever seen one. Mixtape was something that I expected to see something that I honestly wouldn’t appreciate since I know I’m normally not into this kind of an experience but something about this game felt a bit different than what I was anticipating it to be. Something about the story really touches you in so many ways that it’s hard to absolutely explain once you are done with the scene and eventually the ending, which is really one hell of a tearjerker. And even the gameplay that is presented here is fairly simple but unique minigames that not only adds up to the story, but gives you a better understanding of what the game represents. My favorite aspect of this entire game, out of everything, is definitely the animation. The stop motion frame-by-frame animation is unbelievably gorgeous and was the one thing that truly made me invested with both the story and the gameplay, explaining how unique and stylistic that it stands out to be in a subtle but also immaculate style that it sets out to achieve. There is quite a lot more I want to say with Mixtape than I haven’t said before, but out of all indie games I played in a long time, this is up there as another one of my all time favorites. Mixtape is near-perfection. This game, to me, gets a 9.5 out of 10. A fantastic experience that certainly doesn’t appeal to everyone, but as an emotional musical trek from start-to-finish, it sets out on what it is able to achieve instantly, and to me, this game might be one of the sleeper hits of the entire year. You certainly have my trust Beethoven & Dinosaur. You shockingly got me in.

A fast-paced trip of a roguelike. Talk about an ambitious, fast-paced, beautiful, and dare I say, thrilling adventure I’ve ever been on when it comes to playing video games. Hades is the ultimate roguelike fantasy package. It has it all from the amazing fast-paced gameplay, the perfect rhythm of the roguelike structure, the absolute powerful and meta-breaking storytelling that is both satisfying and hilarious to witness, and the best part, it keeps you engaged in a way that not many other games had brought me to love as much as I truly did, and that is what makes it something special. Hades is one hell of a beast. This game absolutely deserves a 10 out of 10, and out of all of the games that released in 2020, this is definitely my Game of the Year for a game that I am absolutely happy to say that I actually enjoyed a lot. The next big adventure from the legacy of Capcom. Does it absolutely live up to the hype? Well, I can damn well tell you that for a new intellectual property coming from one of gaming’s great players, this game delivers a lot that lives up to tell the tale, especially when the game was first revealed in 2020. Pragmata delivers a lot of great benchmarks that makes a classic Capcom game so special, with the RE Engine, the soundtrack, the storytelling, and the unique gameplay that makes it stand out from its contemporaries, and for $60, in an market where so many other AAA publishers heads to $70 within diminishing returns, that’s one hell of an excellent deal, ultimately making this game a killer deal for the standards of what gaming could be capable of. Pragmata, while has a fair amount of frustration with some annoying sections and those training simulations, is a satisfying game that is an easy pick as a Game of the Year contender. I’m giving Pragmata a 9 out of 10. An excellent start to a brand new Capcom series that will eventually become both a fan-favorite and a cult classic for years to come. Super excellent.

This game is one of the most fascinating games I’ve ever seen. A game with no personality, a game with a lot of ideas that was taken from other games, and a game that got a LOT of exposure for being presented as the “new breed of shooter” at The Game Awards, when clearly it was a game with “interesting” ideas, good gunplay, and a nothing experience that I don’t get what the executives were thinking to shadow-drop this game like Apex Legends. Highguard is a fascinating tale of what not to do when making a video game. Certainly didn’t die as fast as Concord, but definitely another game where it’s like “did anyone ask for this?” This game is easily a 6 out of 10. A mid game with the game thankfully being free-to-play for that substantial chunk of players at launch. Certainly not fantastic. Certainly not horrible. It’s just fine. Okay, I have to give this out of my chest. While I absolutely hated the way that the game was OVERLY monetized at launch with these stupid Star Cards through loot boxes, now after EA has removed the money in a rare move, in one of the most tragic stories in gaming, this is a very good game when it is not over monetized, with a ton of content, between the campaign that is developed by Motive, known for the fantastic Dead Space remake, and a ton of multiplayer modes, it looks absolutely fantastic for a PlayStation 4 game, the gameplay is very fun and engaging, being reminiscent of the classics from Pandemic Studios, but when you over monetize it when you fill it with trash at launch, it is impossible to get out of that negative energy. Overall, despite being a tragic example of EA being EA, Battlefront II, in its current state is a solid game that is filled with a lot of content, a great looking game visually, and a decent story (which I heard wasn’t that good, but what can you do). Aside from save data issues while going for the Platinum on this game, words cannot even describe how much a masterpiece Astro Bot really is. Between the gameplay, the beautiful visuals, the soundtrack, the simple, but somehow emotional storytelling, the nostalgia for how much PlayStation representation there are in the game, pretty much everything about this game just screams “Game of the Year worthy” across all fronts. If you want to experience a true non-Nintendo platformer, and wanted to experience an emotional storytelling platforming experience, Astro Bot is a ride that you will never ever forget. I give the game a well deserved 10 out of 10!! Thank you Team Asobi for all of the hard work, dedication and support to help release this legendary experience.

Okay, after 2 weeks of this story, I can safely say that Concord was a concept that was an economic disaster for Sony Interactive Entertainment. With no innovation, bland character models, a fine enough gameplay, a attempted story, and on top of all that, a $40 price tag, the game is nothing short of a decent multiplayer experience that should not have cost money at all when contemporaries like Blizzard’s Overwatch, Respawn’s Apex Legends, Riot’s Valorant, and later NetEase’s Marvel Rivals are all free to play and are actually enjoyable games. Ultimate Verdict: Fun concept, fumbled by modern gaming tropes, a lack of actual content on release and a bust of a price tag: 5.5/10

Wow…This game was my first true Hitman game I have ever played, and this game is why IO Interactive has my respect for becoming one of the best and most underrated game developers ever. This game is the ultimate Hitman package for old and new fans and IO had used all of their great knowledge that they had created 16 years prior to creating a true masterpiece. This game has some of best gameplay for a stealth game that I have ever played, truly becoming the pinnacle of sandbox assassination. When I found out about the previous games and the story of their games are directly linked, it is a true sequel and surprisingly, it is a really intriguing and captivating storyline, with the cinematics are insanely gorgeous and directed very well, providing a intriguing break from trail that keeps you invested in what happens. Gameplay wise, this is a dream, perfectly executed the right balance between the snappiest of the previous game, Absolution, and the looseness of the older games, always are in control, ensuring that exploring each of the maps a breath of fresh air and the disguise has been implemented greatly as only a few will become sus if they see you, thus making this feature useful, and the awesome instinct is now implemented as a intel tool that highlights all of your surroundings- oh yeah, even throwing is hilariously fantastic, chucking that ****, thus making it entertaining and insanely useful as well. Well the game is mostly expertly designed and well polished, it has its fair share of flaws. One of the biggest flaws is that this is a single player game that incentives an always online connection, where all of your progression hinges on you to play on a server. The second issue that most people had when the game launched was IO’s understandable decision to go episodic. Sure this criticism just doesn’t matter anymore since all of the maps are released and you are getting the full experience, but for someone who was there in the beginning, it would always stick out for those people who played it at the beginning. Release structure and online requirements aside, Hitman is one of best stealth games of all time, becoming a excellent return to form for the franchise, becoming the best playing entry with a strong level of polish and care, which shines through greatly. It amazed me that it won a Game of the Year and it would never be topped as the pinnacle of the franchise. I give the game a 10 out of 10!

I have to simply say this. This game was one of the greatest gaming presentations I have ever seen for a sports game, from the audio, the bat cracking sounds, the crowd booing you in their state, and even the commentary team as they react heavily towards your play, making villain decisions that can piss them off hard. I could go about the many other features that are in the game such as in game highlights, stat overlays and replays, and visually, could see players react realistically. For my final verdict: MLB 10: The Show was and still is a fantastic video game that successfully replicated everything that you and I love about baseball. If I could pick a PS3 sports game to play for the rest of my life, I’d be more than satisfied with this game. Best gameplay, best franchise depth, and best presentation, help deliver us one of the greatest sports video games of all time. This game transports you to a era where Sony was aiming to surpass Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and destroy 2K by releasing the best possible exclusive MLB year after year, and it was not just a great baseball game for PS3, not just the best sports game for the console, but one of the BEST PlayStation 3 games of all time in general. That statement is why I give MLB 10 a fitting rating of a 10 out of 10! Just a masterpiece that Sony can’t top ever again.

One of the best examples of a franchise that is better than the new, Battlefield 3 still holds up to this day with great graphics, a incredible story, a relative multiplayer, and overall, a great FPS over Modern Warfare 3 and a fantastic experience that EA has yet to unfortunately have yet to deliver a Battlefield game in the same level as 3, outside of 4 and 1. I’m giving it a 9.5 out of 10.

“The beauty of Helldivers 2 is in its simplicity” If that doesn’t get more Sony than this, I don’t know what does. So far it is great, with great gameplay, beautiful visuals, crazy creative mechanics, and overall, a great attempt at a live service looter shooter despite having technical issues.

Just finished it, and my oh my God, the fact that I’m completed with it after two years of release is how much I don’t want to miss out, and it was a $60 pre-order purchase that is worth it. A masterpiece of a story, the graphics are BEAUTIFUL and is GORGEOUS on the Pro, the soundtrack is hella underrated, and overall, if you want a sequel that took 13 years after the original game, Remedy took everything from their previous games and made it as a legit Game of the Year contender for 2023. It deserves a full blown 10 out of 10. Sam Lake, you outdid yourself perfectly.

Even if I played it for 10 minutes, you can’t deny that Hades is just fantastic. This is the PERFECT rouge-like experience that you should play for an addicting gameplay, an interesting premise, and overall, if there is any rouge-like experience you might enjoy, then this is for you. Definitely want to see people play the sequel when it releases.

After finishing the game and getting the Platinum, I can confidently say that it’s one of my Game of the Year contenders and one of the best PlayStation 5 only experiences I’ve ever played. Fantastic graphics, great collectibles, a PEAK story, a beautiful soundtrack, and overall, it is easily one of best games of 2023, and a TRUE system seller for PlayStation 5 that people will talk about for years to come. I give it a flat out 10 out of 10!

Currently right now, the PlayStation 5 is easily my personal favorite console that came from the insane year of 2020, and what a console it is right now. The already fantastic lineup of games, the 8K compatibility, the DualSense controller, the backwards compatibility from PS4, and overall, even if the price is $500, the PlayStation 5 is definitely worth it, and coming off a high from the legendary PlayStation 4 is still incredible to witness. I give it a 10 out of 10.

Microsoft is trying to redeem themselves from the wild ride of the Xbox One and Windows, and they are so far doing a great job at making it different compared to the One, with it playingall of the games from the One (except Kinect) and some OG and 360 games, gamesbeing played in 4K 120 FPS is beautiful, and overall, Microsoft is trying their hardest to go back to the days of the Xbox 360 from 2005-2011, and it’s definitely one of the better Xbox consolesyou should buy, despite the $500 price.

Hell, you can make an argument that the PC version of Starfield is arguably even a bit worse than the Xbox Series version. Hey! You can’t even barely play it on the Steam Deck or the ROG Ally. Overall, either PC or Xbox, it is not one of the better games of 2023, but it is definitely 10 times better than whatever the hell Redfall was. Final Score: 6 out of 10 (PC), 7 out of 10 (Xbox)

With my hopes not that high on Starfield, the game itself lived up to my decent enough expectations, with a lackluster story, great combat when it works, a game that overpromised and failed sadly, and overall, it is certainly one of the games of all time, and it is definitely a game that is looked back as a game with a TON of flaws.
