Typically when a movie gets sent straight to streaming or has a short run in theaters its not a good sign. And lets be real both our Leads are not normally box office Gold. BUT that being said Shotgun Wedding breaths life of fresh air back into Romcoms. Or should I say action Romcoms. This movie reminds me of everything I loved about early 2000's Romcoms, when movies could just be fun. I feel like nowadays everyone takes everything way to serious, reading some of these negative reviews on this movie it seems like everyone has a stick up their ass. Shotgun Wedding is very enjoyable, alot more then I thought it was gonna be. Pretty much they are getting married on an island in the Philippines when suddenly it gets interrupted by some pirates who want their money. So they have to find a way to save their wedding party all while getting rid of the Pirates. This movie has tons of laughs, I was chuckling to my self alot and there were honestly some actual laugh out loud moments. Jlo does a great job in this, some people dont like her acting but I think she does good. Josh does a good job as well and their relationship is believable. I love the banter they have back and forth during this movie. Also this movie had some surprising violence in it and some actually good action scenes, full of funny moments as well. There is also a twist in this movie I actually didnt see coming which was nice. Jennifer Coolidge was a really funny side character. The Pirates all had unique looks to them. It also had some sweet and heartfelt moments as well. This movie is a strong hour and 40mins with no slow parts and boring bits. It was fun laughs and action from beginning to end. Give this one a shot I think you will enjoy it. Solid 8/10

So I went into this movie completly blind. Didnt see a trailer, just saw that Aubrey Plaza was in a new movie and wanted to go watch **** story follows Emily who is a college drop out,struggling to make money and is just trying to find a stable job. She also loves art but the passion is there like it used to be. When she gets invited to make $200 in a day from an contact she was given she learns its credit card scam. Once she gets a taste of how easy it is she slowly falls down the rabbit hole of wanting to make more and more cash this way. This is deffinitly a character driven movie with Aubrey doing a fantastic job in this movie. She is known for her more dry comedic roles but she plays a serious character who is down on her luck and does fantastic in it. The movie shows how its hard for her to get a job with small crimes on her record. I like how personal and real this movie feels, with mostly medium and close up shots through out this whole movie, making you feel really close to her and feel everything she is feeling and going through. As the risk of the jobs go up during the movie and her making more money it gets really tense in some scenes. I really enjoyed this movie, fantstic acting from Aubrey and even Theo did a good job. This is another movie with a first time Director in John Patton Ford who I think did a good job with his first outting. He also wrote the movie which is impressive. From beginning to end I was investing in her character growth and the story and was really interested to see how it all unfolds. If you like these kinda movies I say deffinitly check it out.

This new Netflix original movie stars Jamie Foxx and Dave Franco in a action comedy vampire hunter movie. Right out the gate this movie has a great action piece with Bud played by Jamie Foxx taking on a vampire. The story is pretty simple, Bud who is going through marriage problems and is trying to provide for his daughter all while pretending to be a pool boy but is actually a Vampire hunter. Who is accompanied by Seth played by Dave Franco who is apart of the Vampire Hunters Union. Meanwhile our Villain is trying take over LA with houseing units to have more Vamps move in. I find it interesting that there is a Vampire Hunters Union in this movie, its funny to hear the random guidelines they have to follow and all the rules Bud violated in the past. Also how overly strict they are and its always nice to have a movie with interesting Vampire Lore. The action is top notch in this movie which is to be expected being Directed by J J Perry who has done stunt work and 2nd unit director for tones of action movies. This is his first movie he has directed. This movie has tons of gore and violence, great Vampire kills and its fun to see Jamie foxx take them down. There is alot of vampires getting scorpioned in this movie which is hilarious. If you dont know its when you get ur face slammed so hard into the floor ur legs come up in the back. We do get a brief guest star from one of the best action stars in modern day Scott Adkins playing a Russian Vampire Hunter with Steve Howey playing his brother. The big fight scene that they are in is bad ass. Tons of different kills and one of the coolest reloading's I've seen in movies recently. Wish they were in the movie alot more. We also have Snoop Dogg in this movie playing Big Jon Elliott who is known as a bad ass vampire hunter in his own right. Ima give Snoop props he does a pretty good job in this movie. Also we cant forget the lovely Meagan Good who plays Jamies wife and Zyon who plays his daughter and she does a good job in this as well. Some negatives is the villains motives are alittle weak and not alot of depth to her character. The pee jokes were alittle much, you can have a nervous character and not do that joke. But other then that I had alot of fun with this movie, good jokes, alot of really good action and good chemistry between Jamie and Dave.
