Everyone simply seems to be having more fun this year, and that can be infectious. If the first season felt like an obligation to ride a wave of video game adaptations, the second feels like an honest effort to satisfy both fans of the games and those who never played them. The result is a season that finds its tone in ways that the first never did.

It’s the hilarious love child of Death Race, Blood Drive, and … well, the long-running Twisted Metal videogame series. Is this show for everyone? Assuredly not. But in Season 2, it’s not trying to be. It’s just trying to be Twisted Metal, and it finally has that figured out.

Twisted Metal is a wildly entertaining series — packed with humor, action, and charm, it’s one of the most fun adaptations in years
2 season the best!

Though part of me wishes the show had found a better way to balance their arcs with more vehicular action, season 2 is a fun expansion of the game adaptation.

Season 2 gives us a satisfying deepening of the characters and lore, though some of build up to the climactic Twisted Metal match gets repetitive as it moves from one random death race to another.

Twisted Metal has improved because it remembered that character development is as important as anything else, and it makes the show a lot less mentally tiring to watch.

The metal is certainly twisted, but this solid sophomore season still shows that it’s not quite as twisted as it should be.

Season 1 was kinda novel and interesting, at least, even though back then, Sweet Tooth was by far the only thing actually carrying the show. That is still the case in season 2, yet EVERYTHING else has become even MORE cringe. Soooooooooooooooooooo much cringe, the "jokes" are just sooooo terribly bad! **** me ... such disappointment.

So cringey. I accidentally watched episode 2 first. I don't know how that happened. But I thought eh, doesn't seem quite as good ss the first season. Kinda cringey, bad dialogue, bad jokes, even bad acting by a lot of the female cast. Including the actor who plays quiet who I thought generally did a good job in season 1. Even Mackie had bad acting on some lines and scenes. I don't know if it's because the dialogue is just so **** the actors phoned it in or the director didn't get the best performance or what, but the acting is a step down from the first season. Which wasn't the best acting there either but was much better than this in my **** the way they made it girlboss central, I mean, even females I kbow hate that stuff. Anyway like I said I accidentally watched ep 2 first and thought? Well it's not as good as first season and kinda cringey but I'll give it a shot cause I did like the first season. So then I figured out my blunder, and I'm like oh I have gotta watch ep 1. And holy crap was it even worse. Sooo bad and cringe right from the start and it kept getting worse and worse! About halfway through the episode, around the 17 minute mark I had to stop watching. Some guy is rubbing one of the dolls feet while she calls him a little **** and he loudly proclaims "this footsie is done! Whose next!" And sys something along the lines of, "hey girl who is grinding on quiet can I please rub your feet, next" and she says basically "no, I'm busy" and the guy looks very saddened by this. Also while I am on it the feet he was rubbing were dirty and gross looking. Then the leader who is John's sister, yells out loud "queens, you have a good reason to celebrate" and right there, I turned it off. I couldn't take any more of the girl bossing and man degrading. The bad acting, bad dialogue, bad characters. They replaced raven from season 1 with a literal witch who casts spells and stuff and is also your typical girl boss. In episode 2 Quiet is a huge Mary Sue who is super woman all of a sudden for no reason who don't need no man's help ya'll! And she let's John know this too, her character is totally different from the first season, I really don't like when shows have huge character personality shifts between seasons. It doesn't make sense to me and is almost always handled badly. In ep 2 it was just more of the same girl bossing and men being lame and dumb. The first season really wasn't like this. It wasn't groundbreaking or anything but it was entertaining and had some good plot lines. This crap is a **** show of stereo typical "tough chicks" being cool and bad ass. And it just comes off lame and boring really. I can't watch anymore of this so I didn't get to the tournament, not even close. I did see the race to decide who would drive in the tournament for the dolls and boy, was it lame. If that is the kind of action I was gonna be looking forward l to for the rest of the season, I don't feel like I missed out on anything special.I know critics are praising this and some people are saying the game was over the top and campy type stuff. But I don't think anyone played these games for the story, of course the crazy characters and cars were cool and added to the game. But nothing was ever fleshed out really. They coulda did so much better. And I realize I am judging this by 1 and a half episodes of season 2. But I can't sit through anymore of this trash. I'm out, it ain't for me and that's okay. If you like it, do you. But I will pass on this one.

Sweet Tooth is still fantastic, thanks to Arnett's voice. Mackie started playing Mackie and there was almost no fun left in the show. It's full of unbelievable drama and idiotic plots, and now there's a kid too. Yes, they added a kid. I won't spoil the season finale, but it's 1/10 only for S2.E4: LZGTBZY, otherwise 0/10. Probably the worst second season I have ever seen.
