It's a shame that Cavill won't be present to see the show through to its conclusion, but given what Season 3 of The Witcher establishes in terms of mounting conflict, rich character growth and relationships, and phenomenal performances, there's still plenty worth tuning in for into a fourth season and beyond.

Sometimes the political manoeuvrings cause a glut of sequences where characters explain or complain about what just happened without furthering the story, but the ensemble is capable of distracting us with pure fun.

Season 3 pays off much of the show’s early promise—particularly between Geralt and Yennefer, whose shared scenes could snap any second from the romantic and sexual tension.

The Witcher is back and more complex than ever, but its dry approach to courtly intrigue and prophecy stalls its few true instances of fantasy fun.

Based on the initial episodes, Cavill could leave on a relatively high note, thanks to a tighter, more focused third season, at least initially, than the second offered.

Yet for all those plusses, The Witcher struggles once more to tell a coherent story – even the subplots have subplots. Maybe Cavill is leaving at the right time.

On its own, volume 1 is a fairly well-crafted beginning to the season, giving us most things we could want from The Witcher and raising the stakes as we knew it would.

Huge thanks to Lauren Schmidt for a great job. I felt the power of Netflix adaptations in a new way. I understand your philosophy and idea. This concept just amazes me. I remember this series for a long time. I experienced new tastes of excrement. You've done a great job to make this series close quickly. I am grateful to you. I think Andrzej Sapkowski too. If you are a witcher fan don't waste your time on this series. It would be better to read books, play witcher games or watch the 2002 TV series.

It's clear to see why Cavill jumped ship, this season is as dull as dishwater. There is just nothing to keep you interested. Scrap S4/5 with Hemsworth and just put this show out of its misery.

I really wish the story would’ve focused much more on the main characters (Gerald, Ciri, Yennefer) and the other witchers. The bigger story of the politics of the continent with all the random side characters is way less interesting and the actors/actresses portraying all these random characters are poorly cast. Too bad they killed off all the other witchers in previous seasons. I would much rather watch Geralt, Ciri, and Yen travel around to small villages fighting monsters and lifting curses then suffer through scene after scene of dull exposition about the political struggle for the continent. Quit trying to be like game of thrones. It is not working.

They killed the show with terrible ignorance of the lore and awful cast. Women are physically stronger than men, lgbt is everywhere and all the unnecessary woke performance

Weakest season yet. There might be 3 decent episodes out of 8. One of them draaaaaags out for so long with nothing going on. Other episodes have a lot of plotlines going on, but the character motivations are so basic and one-dimensional that it becomes hard to care.
