Very well produced drama which closely follows the video game it's inspired by. Both Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey excel in their roles.

Season 2 continues the dark and emotional world of The Last of Us with strong atmosphere, excellent acting, and a beautifully produced story. The show still captures the same tone that made the games so memorable, and visually it looks fantastic.However, the series remains second best compared to the original game, The Last of Us Part II, which in my opinion is a **** thing that surprised me is how the story is structured. The first season adapted the entire first game, The Last of Us, but Season 2 only adapts the first part of the second game. I didn’t know this when watching, so it felt strange when the story suddenly stopped in the middle. I assume they are planning a third season, but the season itself feels incomplete because of this **** show also adds several story elements that were not present in the game. Personally I didn’t enjoy most of these additions. They may exist because television works differently than games, but they didn’t improve the story for me.Another issue is the portrayal of Ellie by Bella Ramsey. In the game Ellie feels much tougher and more determined, while still being thoughtful and complex. In the series she often comes across as weaker, more childish, and sometimes angry without clear motivation. The character simply feels different from the version many players **** storytelling style is also more linear than the game. In the game the narrative structure creates surprises and reveals information in a more interesting way, while the show feels more straightforward and less impactful.Overall, Season 2 still has great production quality, acting, and atmosphere, but compared to the game it feels like a weaker version of an excellent story.

Ruined by the loss of Pedro (insufferable in real life but an accomplished actor) and the persistence of the other lead. The shift of focus to THIS iteration of Ellie ruins what the show had going for it. There were so many great options for that role and Bella simply is not talented enough to carry this show, nowhere near. Maybe there are roles she would excel in but it seems hard to believe watching this. Unfortunately just another excellent IP infected by the slop Hollywood is pushing in recent years. I'm sure there are fans with no connection to the source material who are simple to please...they will watch the show because they liked the first episode/season and have to continue to tell themselves that there is quality here, lest they feel they lost something great. Denial is often easier than reality. Hopefully this is a wakeup call to showrunners everywhere. A show with great potential sunk by a terrible casting choice and sub 70IQ messaging. Sure, there are fans who fit that bill...there are millions with profoundly simple minds who will clap along because they think something SHOULD be good and don't want to believe otherwise. If that is the crowd they seek to pander **** same crowd that The Witcher, Star Wars and post endgame Marvel pander to...then they hit the nail on the head. But for any discerning viewer with the capacity for taste and appreciation for quality, this is not it.

I did not play any of the video games and found this to be an imaginative zombie series with perhaps a bit too much emoting and not enough action. Overall, I'm satisfied that I watched it.

Monster hunting monsters? Why? The main actress is so ugly that the monsters are more pleasant to look at. I’m really glad the show is a total disaster of woke propaganda. Truckmen thought he was a genius, and he knew better than other people. But reality showed what he has done. I’m really glad that he was totally humiliated.

This is the perfect way to destroy a franchise. I would assume that many of the creative decisions here were Neil Druckmann’s, and that’s why HBO just decided to let him go. It appears that Druckmann’s reputation has now been severely tarnished in both the gaming, and TV show, industries. It’s a shame.

The series is great, but I wonder who said to Bella Ramsey, "You'd be Ellie." This girl has nothing to do with Ellie. Come on, we ignored that in the first season. But couldn't you have found someone who looked like Ellie from the game and included her in the series in the second season? Was that even hard? I hope you fix this in the third season and manage to make amends. Although they will focus on Abby in the third season. Also, I hope you don't keep us waiting too long, dear HBO.

La mejor adaptación que se ha hecho de un videojuego con actores reales. Buenas interpretaciones de los personajes, de todos. Quizás no tiene el impacto que tuvo el juego, porque obviamente muchos ya conocen la historia, pero sigue emocionando. El episodio dirigido por Neil es de los mejores. It was the only time you could heavily deviate from the source material and get standing ovations from most fans. Sadly they adapted the story of the second game. With this its the same experience. You will enjoy the first season and grow fond of the characters while season 2 destroys everything. We gamers were falsely mocked as istaphobes for that and now we are proven correct as the non gaming audience has the same reaction. The story is set in a world after civilization collapses. A version of the cordyceps fungi has spread and infected humans are zombie like (The 24 days later variety). No cure was found and everything collapsed. You follow Joel Miller and Ellie who have to make a journey through the fallen United States in hope to find a cure. Here I stop to avoid spoilers. The cast is hit and miss. Like many I say Pedro Pascal is fitting and carries his role as Joel and the show. Bella Ramsey while not being awful has not the presence and acting range to carry the show alone. I feel sad for Kaitlyn Denvers who has to play Abby who became one of if not most hated character in videogame history. I hope she gets not harassed or harmed her career. I shorten the rest to hit and miss and say it is the script that harms and elevates. The script is the problem. Neil Druckmann has pushed his ideas against all (valid) criticism and fan backlash. I admire those who stand up and defend their ideas. However the customer is king. They had the negative fan reaction for the games and lower sales as warning. Sadly they ignored it to repeat the mistakes made. Overall it is a disappointment. Just stop after season 1 and you get a 8-9/10 show. If you continue it will drop a lot. I give a 4/10.

While the game (only the first one) is really great, the series is just too full of propaganda. I couldn't watch past (or even finish) the unnecessarily shoe-horned in third episode, which had nothing to do with the source material and just existed to push an agenda.

About me / what I associate with it: I’ve been a huge fan of The Last of Us ever since the PlayStation 3. The game gave me so many emotional and heart-wrenching moments, countless hours of gameplay, and most importantly, I fell in love with the franchise and the world of The Last of Us. It’s one of my all-time favorite games, and more than that, it’s one of those games that truly represents Sony. I can’t think of any other game more deserving of a TV series adaptation by Sony than The Last of Us. Conclusion: I really hope there will be a third season. I’m very impressed with Seasons 1 and 2, and honestly, I don’t understand the hate toward the actress. Sure, she’s not exactly like our main character from the video game, but let’s be real – not everything can be 100% perfect.

Normally, season 2 is where most series find their stride and fall into what makes the series shine. But with ’The Last of Us’ Season 2, the show takes a step back. We found ourselves questioning whether we really cared after the short 7-episode season, and with it being only season 2, that’s a problem. It mainly falls on once the big sequence happens in episode 2, the season feels a little lost. Ellie’s journey, which is the main part of Part 2, is chopped up and feels like they were afraid to give us the hard emotions with her (and let her truly shine in action sequences). With season 3 potentially leaving Ellie behind to tell Abby’s story, our so-so cliffhanger from season 2 will get left on the back burner for years, and has left us wondering how the audience will stick with it. The potential of The Last of Us Part 2 taking 3 seasons and 6ish years to tell is a difficult thing to feel excited about. In the end, ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 takes a step back with it’s storytelling and emotional impact, while also steering away from the virus and clickers to focus on other human groups. La historia buscaba tratar el sinsentido de la venganza con un descenso a los infiernos más psicológicos y personales del ser humano, donde la violencia y la deshumanización son factores muy presentes en un universo terriblemente hostil. Y desde que HBO anunciase la adaptación a la televisión en conjunto con Naughty Dog y Craig Mazin (Chernobyl), no había dudas de que se iba a realizar una gran inversión en la serie. Tras el reciente estreno y finalización de su segunda temporada, parece ser que los espectadores no están totalmente convencidos de cómo se está desenvolviendo la historia de Joel y Ellie.Sinceramente, a nosotros esta segunda temporada nos ha dejado con un mal sabor de boca y a pesar de intentar apreciar la serie desde una mirada totalmente ajena al videojuego, es evidente que se han tomado decisiones que no terminan de convencer, en cuanto a ritmo, tono y dirección. El cierre tiene momentos de tensión que sobran y no aportan nada, como ese encontronazo de Ellie con los serafitas o el grito cortado de Ellie con el sonido de disparo solapado en ese momento concreto.Algunos aciertos, muchos fallosPero en general, la estructura y el tono han sido el mayor error. La Ellie de Bella Ramsey es un personaje plano, que vacila entre ser un adulto atormentado y una preadolescente incoherente; un personaje que tropieza en desarrollo. En una serie de esta envergadura y presupuesto es algo mínimamente exigible, que haya un reparto que esté a la altura de las circunstancias de la historia y obviamente no podemos echar toda la culpa a una actriz principal que parece quedarle grande el papel, cuando el guion y la dirección tampoco **** historia se esfuerza de sobremanera en explicarse y justificarse, trata al espectador como ingenuo y fuerza el sentimentalismo más barato; prueba de ello podemos verlo en el capítulo final con el personaje de Jesse explicando a Ellie que va él y Dina van a ser padres y no pueden morir. ¿En serio necesitamos que nos recalquen esto? La narrativa intenta ser poética y simbolista por momentos, pero esto choca frontalmente con momentos de sobrexplicación como este, que parecen sacados de los peores capítulos de The Walking **** resumen, esta segunda temporada cumple grandiosamente con el cuerpo de la serie, pero falla en el alma. I will now rate the Last of Us Show, I do not have anything against any of the actors, I just think some were incredible miss cast for the sake of DiVeRSity. Season 1 is a 7/10, while they added a lot of details to the already perfect story, there were a lot of changes, some good, some bad, and since this is also trying to appeal to a minority that doesn't exist I have to subtract points. The video game to this day is the best way to experience the Story. Now as for Season 2, I will admit that the first and Second Episodes even though Joel Dies...again. Is great, and then after that I managed to get to Episode 4 where Ellie suddenly says the line that she is going to be a Dad and makes the Segs with Upgraded Dina. Season 2 is Part 2 but just worse because the Story already is bad. So you are trying to take a Bad Story and attempting to make it seem not bad when it is. And no it's not because of Joele Dying, it's because the writing **** ass. It **** in the game, it **** here, and when you couple it with Mrs Potato Head and a few of the Characters you will not be interested. I'm sure many of you who pray to The Last of Us, or are unfamiliar with it will like this series, but when a series literally shoves LGBTQIA HD TV stuff in my face and then make a joke about it that bugs me and shows what the priority of the show is. For god sake, Dina Finds out that Ellie is not infected and then starts making out with **** the Apocolypse right after an attack. Is this a Joke? Look I would love to make out to Dina too, but when I am safe not during a place of high exposure. So Season 2 for me is a 3/10, just because you take a bad story and make it into a show, swapping different events and pivotal story points, does not mean better. So my Final Rating for the Last of the TV Show will be a 5/10, controversial, some may like this, and others (Real Fans) will not. Neil Drunkmann f*cked up one of the greatest game series of all time in storytelling, and I do not forget the pain I endured playing the Second game, nor Will I forget Watching this show. If you want to watch this show for some reason, it would be for the Infected and Action.

I’ve got to give credit to the set designers and art team — they did an amazing job recreating the world from the game. Visually, the show looks **** everything else? It’s honestly a mess. The script feels empty. The dialogue is flat. The characters have no depth or believable motivations. There's no emotional development or proper arcs. The relationships go nowhere. And some of the world-building choices — especially how Jackson’s society is structured — just feel like the writers’ weird fantasies rather than something that would make sense in a post-apocalyptic world.Then there’s Neil Druckmann’s obsession with certain themes — like putting women in charge of everything, sending pregnant women into battle, etc. Yeah, right. In a real apocalypse, women — especially those who can have children — would be the most protected and valued members of any group. That’s just basic logic for survival.Bella Ramsey was a terrible casting choice. Let’s be honest — she looks nothing like Ellie from the game, and her acting wasn’t strong enough to carry such an important role. It’s clear the showrunners realized this too, because they either cut or rewrote most of Ellie’s emotional scenes from the game. And when those scenes were kept, the camera often avoided showing her face.Joel, on the other hand, was turned into some kind of weak, overly sensitive version of himself. And what was this random therapist character in Jackson? I guess she was there to explain what's going on to the “dumb audience” because the show couldn’t develop them naturally over seven episodes. But seriously — a therapist? In a tight-knit commune where everyone’s supposed to work hard and pull their weight to survive? You really think a guy peeling potatoes in the kitchen is okay with feeding someone whose only job is to read books and talk about feelings?If this show had been pitched as some artsy personal project — like the creator’s unique take on the story, made just for a small niche audience in Santa Monica — I might’ve been more forgiving. But they marketed this as a serious adaptation **** loved by tens of millions of fans. This was supposed to be a big mainstream production, not some ideological experiment for a California bubble.Bottom line: The show had everything it needed to be great — a beloved game, a huge fanbase, an amazing world. It could’ve been the next Breaking Bad. Instead, it turned into a half-baked parody of the very "progressive messaging" it was trying to push.

Excellent series! Not quite up to the awesomeness of the game, but almost. It was interesting to see Elie's character change so much, and it worked. The actor playing Joel was excellent. More clickers and bloaters required though!! All in all, very watchable and can't wait for another series of this!

No probé el juego así que creo que eso hace que tenga libertad para poder decir que la serie me pareció que estuvo impecable. Tiene muy buenos efectos, lo cual hace creíble el escenario apocalíptico y las criaturas sobrenaturales. Bella Ramsey se ganó una fanática, compré todo el personaje y su actuación! Nada tengo para decir de Pedro Pascal que el resto no sepa. Destaco la banda sonora, es la que hace que puedas atravesar la pantalla y sentir que estás ahí, sea corriendo, escondiéndote o disfrutando de los pocos momentos en los cuales no se está luchando por sobrevivir.

The negative review bombing is ridiculous. People liked that Joel "did the right thing" in season one, yet they hate that season two deals with the consequences. Season two is a great and logical follow-up to season one. It's not perfect. Some of the characterization is uneven, but it's still a very good show overall.

Great visuals and set pieces can't hide the fact that this is a genuinely miserable attempt at adapting The Last of Us: Part 2. I can't believe how blatantly this misunderstands and fails to achieve the vision of the game. It **** to say but I won't be finishing it.

I honestly can’t believe people think there’s such a thing as the “wrong face” for a part. I was okay with S1, even unnecessary changes were done very well and I enjoyed most of the season. Season 2 is audio-visually pleasing however the show itself is just awful. Changes they are doing are absolutely pointless, adding nothing to the overall plot or TLoU universe. Acting is often just.. meh. And NO, THIS IS NOT ABOUT LOOKS, this is about acting - Bella is not good. Writing for Ellie is absolutely horrible and she is not good in the role. I do not believe her scenes, I do not enjoy her scenes, it´s all so.. cringey. I am sad that one of my favorite fictional universe is being treated like this but I am done.
