Apple TV has never shied away from going big with its sci-fi shows, but this truly unforgettable third run proves Silo is in a league all of its own.

Even if half of Season 3 may test some patience, “Silo”’s back half will remind the already committed that Yost and company know what they are doing and have an endgame in mind.

Season 3 feels like a critical culmination of the first two seasons in regards to what Juliette discovered in Silo 17 and what our other characters learned from the Season 2 rebellion. It's great, exciting storytelling.

Silo is going in a somewhat new direction in Season 3, and we’re here for it, mainly because it sets up a few new conspiracies while answering some of our questions about the show’s mythology.

Revealing just enough to satisfy while withholding enough to obsess over, Silo remains one of television’s smartest science-fiction dramas. Yes, it demands patience. But the rewards are handsome.

Without going into too much detail, I'll just say that I found this storyline [Daniel and Helen's] to be a bit more interesting than what was happening to Juliette, even though Ferguson remains the best actor on the series.

The less-interesting characters taking the spotlight and the drag of the early timeline make for the first season of “Silo” that often drags. Having said that, the ensemble is still strong enough and the concept sturdy enough that the show never completely collapses.

This is now definitively confirmed - all book adaptations, especially edgy Sci-Fi, into TV series HAVE TO screw the material up, it is not allowed to keep the story and characters as they are, it simply HAS TO be ‘creatively enhaced’ for a modern TV show. That means the obligatory gender and race swaps for the main characters, unnecessary addition of disabled persons and all the other nonsense you’d expect over which a culture war is raging on. And that is not even the most irritating aspect of these adaptations! The worst part is that the pacing CANNOT go an inch over a crawl so the TV company can milk it for more profit and it simply MUST be dumbed down for the lowest common denominator, any nuance and finesse from the books (that made it great in the first place) NEEDS TO be thrown out entirely, otherwise - it is not being greenlit for TV! The author of this, yet another upsetting disaster is Graham Yost, the writer of Speed, the only commercially successful and critically acclaimed thing he ever did, everything else he wrote turned out a flop, no wonder. Anyway, after passable first season where they followed the source material and so-so second season that suffered from suffocating pacing, this third season slop can easily be skipped hard, especially the fans of the books. The rest should just go read the great trilogy by Hugh Howie even though he himself seemingly got paid pretty penny as he is publicly singing praises to this attempt to ‘breathe new life and space into the original material’ (eyeroll).

Boring boring boring. What the hell are these writers doing with these shows? Two episodes and im Barely! Paying attention. About half the episodes are in the past with exposition but nothing of value is provided. Then current events is just as bad if not worse, terribly written amnesia epsides

The first season was incredible. The second season was okay, but paced terribly. This season, like the vast majority of content slop being shoved down our throats, is both terribly paced and written terribly, including crucially dumbed down as if the audience is incapable of nuance. The books are pretty good, they just have a rushed conclusion that doesn’t respect tension build up. This series undermines the quality fresh ideas in the book, and presumably slows the narrative down to a standstill (including this season’s annoying amnesia bit) so Apple can milk it for more seasons. I really don’t think this is worth watching at all. The screenwriting decisions in this and other modern television shows is so baffling and disrespectful of reality. Is AI writing these scripts? Go learn an instrument. Tech companies have killed television through incessant AB testing. These neckbeards have no idea how to make art.

I'm not going to say it's just generic, it's just simply a basic idea that makes no sense and that keeps digging (#sarcasms) its own grave. The acting is as nonsensical as the story.
