Season 3 was much better than Season 2, though it took a while to pick up steam. The first four episodes really dragged and lacked appeal, but from episode 5 onwards, the season gained momentum and improved with every episode, culminating in the excellent season finale (episode 10). The plot this season was far superior and much more fully developed. I found the arc set outside the Silo, and prior to the nuclear holocaust, much more interesting and well-crafted, it held my attention far better than the storyline inside the Silo. I’m eagerly awaiting the fourth and final season and the conclusion to it all.

I loved season 1 and 2, despite feeling like that they were sometimes burning time for certain story-lines so other parallel plot points could happen at the same time, I was left disappointed by Season 3, who takes this to the next level, making what feels like half the season be dedicated to a side plot. The flashbacks tell a troupe story of a journalist and politician finding out about the upcoming apocalypse which was was caused by a character who is almost identical with Elon Musk. The second i saw Elon, i knew, 'oh ok, they will make him the main bad guy', and of course, i was right. When comparing this part to the books, i noticed that this elon musk insert was not in the story, and it just felt cringe that yet another show is forced to put in politics into an already established and better story. I will keep watching but its so lame that i can already guess with 90% confidence that the big bad person of the show will be this elon musk character. The motivation for these silos is also stupid and short-sighted, as it doesnt make sense that people are just completely brainwashed and given these random rules for society, and i know they will hand-wave explain all of this by elon saying that he did all of this because he is evil and rich, thus he can.
