The first episode alone is a grabber, defying our every expectation. Can’t say how. Throughout, the storytelling and world-building maintain the highest standards. And that final episode promises there’s even more yet to come. If you love “Dune,” this is a gimme.

“Silo” has echoes of projects like “Blade Runner,” “The Expanse,” and even “The Platform,” but it also has its own confident voice, a complex storytelling tone more reminiscent of literature than traditional streaming dramas. ... One of the best of 2023 so far.

It is an instant classic and the thrilling conclusion will no doubt leave viewers desperate for further visits to the silo, even if growing numbers of its inhabitants might be considering going out to clean.

Ultimately, season 2 is another gloriously pacy yet fleshed-out instalment and a masterclass in how to follow up a successful first season.

Apple TV has never shied away from going big with its sci-fi shows, but this truly unforgettable third run proves Silo is in a league all of its own.

Overall, Silo continues to be must-watch television. Even with limited time and an enormous dystopian world and story to build, the series succeeds where many others fail in our new world of streaming: Character and relationship development.

Graham and his co-writers have effectively set the stage for a captivating finale and eventual season three. While it may sometimes feel like we are spinning our wheels here before we get to the good stuff, this show still remains one of the most puzzling and fascinating in the Apple TV+ library.

It's an incredibly rich, smart show.
