It’s an understatement to say this exhaustive and, at times, deeply disturbing docuseries lands clearly on the side of “devil,” as we hear one former Playmate or Playboy employee after another recount stories.

The Playboy mystique and Hugh Hefner's legacy receive a serious debunking in "Secrets of Playboy," a 10-part A&E network docuseries that explores the dark side of the lifestyle Hefner sought to embody. Somewhat bloated in its format, there are plenty of disturbing revelations scattered here for those with the patience to reach them.

Secrets Of Playboy does go into aspects of Hugh Hefner and his empire that people may not have heard before if they’re not following people like Madison closely. We just wonder if the revelations will start becoming repetitive or less shocking as the series examines each part of Hefner’s life and the brand he started.

Separating truth from fiction can sometimes be difficult in Secrets of Playboy, which freely blends concrete proof and conjecture. On the whole, though, the docuseries unearths an overwhelming amount of rottenness.

Is it a secret that Hefner's girlfriends got real used to the 'good life', and when he moved on to someone new, the old one had to leave the mansion, and move back into her studio apartment?Is it a secret that men applied for jobs at Playboy because they "really" liked naked women?Is it a secret that most men that own a popular business, provide their close friends with perks?Is it a secret that all prospective Playmates showed up at Playboy ready to bare it all for international distribution, and took off all their clothes the very first day for test photos?Is it a secret that most women wouldn't pose nude for "any publication"?Is it a secret that most women regret some of their decisions and actions from their past when they were young and naive?Any Playmate Centerfold that entered the Playboy Mansion property after she was published, was well aware that she was taking a risk for better or worse. Unfortunately for some.... it was for the worse. Her job posing for Playboy was completed. Why was she at the mansion afterwards?... If there is a secret... that's it.

I've never seen a piece of media in my life that lies more than 'Secrets of Playboy' and they do it so proudly. From race claims to sexual assault claims without police reports or any other tangible piece of proof; the showrunners and participants should all be sued to the absolute maximum of defamation. This is the most disturbing mini-series I have ever seen my entire life because the lying itself doesn't even always apply to Playboy; sometimes they switch to other media outlets such as OnlyFans. Yet Playboy and Hef take the blame for absolutely everything after all the lives they changed for the better. It's misguided from the beginning to the end and most of it has nothing to do with Hef who remains an outstanding visionary and the lead of print media.
