Utter trash. A shame for Hardy and Bennett. As for the others, they can do an uninspired cheesy stereotyped mob soap opera, no surprises there.

Hardy's de Souza is irresistible. Hardy owns this show. An enjoyable gangster flick let down only by some poor casting choice. Eddie Harrigan is loathsome, but unbelievable. Brosnan & Mirren's Irish accents are a joke- cartoon diddly-aye Darby O'Gill bacon & cabbage leprechaun Riverdance. If you can get over that, which you probably can if you're not Irish, then this a thoroughly enjoyable UK gangster show. Those accents though. Wow! A betrayal of our history and country. Should have cast Ciara Hinds and Fiona Shaw.

It was so engaging and addictive. Just loved it and the casting was right-on. Every character fit their role and Tom Hardy? I would watch him read a phonebook.

Very good, Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan freedom is awesome! For season 2 give us more bike sequence/action like in the manipulated (kor).

Weak storyline, a let down all round by some great actors, Helen Mirren was especially bad. I imagine it appeals to people with low attention spans

Some shows win you over simply because of who’s on screen, and this is exactly one of those cases. From the first minutes, MobLand makes it clear that the plot isn’t its strongest weapon — we’ve all seen this kind of crime-family setup before — but the cast absolutely devours the frame. Tom Hardy is fantastic, of course, but the one who truly knocked me out is Harry (Paddy Considine). Every tiny gesture, every pause, every stare… he’s unsettling without even raising his voice. And Helen Mirren is terrifying here — pure ice. She radiates this cold, merciless energy that makes you sit up **** story doesn’t break new ground, but it works. It has that familiar rhythm of betrayals, tension, and calm moments that feel like they’re seconds away from exploding. It could use a bit more bite, sure, but it still holds your attention. You can feel the craft behind it, even if the script plays safely within the genre.What I enjoyed most is how the show comes alive when the characters face off. Some scenes seem written just to let the actors shine, and honestly, I’m not complaining. Hardy has that quiet, coiled danger that makes every scene unpredictable. And Mirren… she’s a force of nature.There’s also a touch of dark humor — very Guy Ritchie — but more controlled, less chaotic. It doesn’t try to reinvent anything, yet it keeps you inside its world without **** the end, it’s a series that doesn’t offer anything new, but the performances are so strong that it hardly matters. It kept me hooked, especially thanks to Harry and Mirren, who are simply outstanding.

“MobLand” works because Tom Hardy grounds it as Harry Da Souza. His mix of toughness and vulnerability makes the Harrigan family drama hit harder than the usual crime-drama beats. The story may feel familiar, but Hardy’s performance keeps the tension sharp and the show worth watching.

The best thing about this show is the cast, but there it stops. It is fine with mob stories that is rough and tough, but this is just dumb and lacks charm. I dont think there is any likeable characters, there is no one to root for, to many "cool" speeches, it drags on with that dreadful Eddie, and to use 8 hours with this lot and story is a waste of time. I rather watch Sporanos again, or watch Gangs of London instead of this.

Em Terra da Máfia, o assassinato do filho de um dos chefes serve como catalisador dos acontecimentos — e tudo o que vem depois se desenrola de forma coesa e natural. Nada acontece por acaso; tudo tem consequência, e os desdobramentos vão escalando de maneira orgânica. Você se importa com cada personagem, com cada decisão, traição e aliança. O roteiro constrói de forma sólida os laços familiares, as alianças estratégicas e os momentos em que essas relações são colocadas à prova. Outro ponto forte é como a série desenvolve suas reviravoltas. Algumas pistas são plantadas sutilmente ao longo dos episódios, e as revelações finais acontecem de forma convincente e surpreendente.A condução também merece destaque. O ritmo inicial da série é excelente — um verdadeiro gatilho para mergulhar de cabeça na história. Claro que isso se deve também às ótimas atuações, tanto do elenco principal quanto do coadjuvante. A série constrói bem as desavenças, os interrogatórios, as perseguições e tiroteios, fazendo pausas estratégicas para respiro com diálogos que aprofundam tanto os personagens quanto as relações. Esses momentos, especialmente na rotina de Harry, alternam entre obrigações mafiosas e dilemas familiares — o que humaniza o personagem e enriquece a narrativa. Esse equilíbrio é mérito de um roteiro fluido aliado a uma boa direção, o que torna a experiência bastante envolvente.O problema, na minha visão, está nos episódios finais. Quando a série muda o ritmo para encaminhar o desfecho, há uma leve perda de controle. A sensação é que, na tentativa de entregar respostas e ao mesmo tempo preparar terreno para uma segunda temporada, temos alguns deslizes narrativos, principalmente no ritmo. Ainda assim, as reviravoltas são bem construídas e há ganchos suficientes para manter o interesse do público para a nova **** resumo, Terra da Máfia é uma ótima série e um dos grandes acertos da Paramount+. Vale lembrar que, inicialmente, a série foi concebida como um spin-off de Ray Donovan, intitulada The Donovans, mas acabou sendo totalmente reformulada como uma produção independente. O resultado é uma série de máfia contemporânea, que vai agradar especialmente os fãs do gênero por ser bem escrita, com um elenco afiado e um ritmo envolvente.Mesmo que algumas subtramas não tenham a mesma força e que o desfecho perca um pouco o equilíbrio, o saldo final é extremamente positivo. Terra da Máfia se posiciona, com tranquilidade, como uma das melhores séries de 2025 até agora.

This isn’t a bad crime/mobster thriller, it’s just nothing special even in this genre. It has a lot of great action scenes, but it doesn’t have a great plot. It's got a lot of high profile actors in it but the script gives them little to work with (paddy considine is the exception as he's fantastic in this show). Characters aren’t written well. There are no character that you’re supposed to like or get behind and support. So you’re just watching bad people do bad things for 8-10 hours. It’s enjoyable enough to watch but in a few months time you’ll probably struggle to name a character or remember what the plot was about. Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirum’s Irish accents will also put some people off as they’re just terrible attempts. Almost as bad as Robert Downey Junior’s attempt at a Welsh accent in Doctor Doolittle. There’s also one blatantly obvious DEI character as well. Serafina is introduced so badly that some people won’t be able to take her character seriously. It’s something on the line of “You may not be 100% related by blood but you’re still one of us” and then the camera pans to a small 5 foot 5 black woman who we're supposed to take seriously as a gangster. It’s very “we were British gangsters too”. There's no two ways about it, Ronan Bennett should have written her intro better. It doesn't get any better from there as her entire character ark is basically emasculating her half brother Brendan (not that his character needed help with that), that's pretty much it for entire character. It just empathises the bad plot and character writing.

Helen Mirren deserves an award for sure. Story was great, truly action packed. Very violent; not for everyone. John Wick fans will love this.

Mob-Land is everything you want in a crime drama and more. The first episode alone gives us a taste of what's to come as it explores the dark depths of criminal underworld and establishes several important characters. Well filmed, well edited , top flight cinematography, sets, costumes, makes and action scenes. This show doesn't just entertain-it commands your attention. Every episode is like a mini film. I couldn't stop watching, and I highly, highly recommend it. It's one of the best series I've seen in a while. I hope there are many seasons. No second thoughts Just watch it. You will love it if you're a fan of crime dramas i promise you.

Une série fort bien réalisée dans laquelle on ne s’ennuie pas… ou presque pas. Sauf dans les deux derniers épîsodes et surtout dans le dernier, à moins que ce ne soit les trois derniers en fait. Non, rien d’alarmant en soi mais des ralentissements patents de l’intrigue qui se met à faire du surplace… La faute principalement à ce psychodrame ou plutôt ces psychodrames familiaux qui agitent la famille mafieuse et viennent régulièrement diluer et perturber la trame… j’ignore pourquoi ils ont autant insisté là dessus, avec autant de lourdeurs parce que franchement, c’est aussi chiant que lourdingue ! C’est là aussi -évidemment- le souci de cette série : elle a tout d’une tarantinade et en même temps de l’une des chieries de Guy Ritchie (le Tarantilol rosbif) qui fait et n’a fait que de la merde. Cela dit, heureusement, on reste loin des daubes du blaireau concerné (heureusement, car ici il n’a rien écrit directement lui-même) mais quelques relents subsistent ici et là, à savoir cette complaisance, cette putasserie et cette vulgarité, toutes très typiques de ses « oeuvres »… Cela étant, il y a aussi quelques moments indéniablement drôles (et très ironiques) typiques de l’humour britannique à brûle-pourpoint… Les acteurs et les actrices soufflent le chaud et le froid pour leur grande part, oscillent entre la caricature qui confine au grotesque et la grandeur de quelques scènes certes percutantes… ou quelques dialogues très appuyés, dirons-nous ! bref, c’est inégal et ce, sur l’ensemble de la distribution. La fin de cette première saison occasionne certainement son lot de rebondissements plus ou moins crédibles et bien entendu une suite se fait déjà attendre… mais espérons qu’ils ne tirent pas trop sur la corde ni ne **** trop, car Mamie Mirren et Pépé Brosnan ont presque 200 ans à eux deux… (il faut conclure la série avant qu’ils ne claquent). Et puis putain, mettre deux fois du Johnny Cash dans le dernier épisode, ç’a bien flingué la série, ça aussi ! (quelle putain d’horreur de zique de meeeerrrde à chiiier).

As a big fan of Guy Richies past work I had high hopes for this show. Unfortunately it’s super disappointing, badly written, badly acted and really just not worth your time.

This is a bad show. It feels like a dozen other shows I have already seen. Then the accents start and it turns into a comedy. If you are a fan of other dross such as peaky blinders then you might love this, although there isn't a gimmick that you can base your life around here so maybe stick to being a viking for a bit longer.

this show so badly wants to be a 21st Century PEAKY BLINDERS ..but Tommy Shelby would never be anyone's lackey (unlike Tom Hardy's Harry) ..Tommy Shelby is The Boss not a minion ..and certainly NOT to a coupla doddering out of touch mobsters that NEED to be put down like the cruel, stupid & senile rabid dogs that they've become. I found this to be a very frustrating watch ..and very hard to root for anyone here

It’s one of the finest ensemble casts in recent memory, and they alone make the series compulsively watchable. That said, anyone hoping for layered social commentary or genre-defying storytelling à la *The Wire* or *Peaky Blinders* might be left wanting. At its core, *Mobland* sticks closely to familiar territory: two feuding families, simmering grudges, and the occasional stylish **** here’s the twist—when the acting’s this good, the clichés don’t sting. The cast brings so much grit and nuance, you happily follow them down even the most well-trodden narrative paths. And with the finale opening doors to fresh intrigue, Season 2 holds real promise. If the writing takes a few more risks to match the cast’s calibre, Mobland could become more than just a great performance piece. It might just become essential TV.

This is a cinematic mafia bomb, created and assembled by two celebrities: Ronan Bennett and Guy Ritchie, with a cool filling in the form of Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren. A gift for fans of a cool crime theme with great celebrity acting, the smell of gunpowder and vulgar humor. The explosion of our brains begins with the charisma of Tom Hardy and continues with the brutality of Brosnan. The best series I have watched recently...

In another of his typical tough-guy roles, Tom Hardy plays the “fixer” for a mob that’s led by Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren. This series focuses on two warring crime families with lots of threatening conversations and a few violent moments. Guy Ritchie directed the first 2 eps to establish the brutal approach to the interactions and the action. The showrunner is Ronan Bennett, whose “Day of the Jackal” (Peacock) is one of the season’s best new shows. This series isn’t as compelling, although it’s fun to see Brosnan and, even more so, Mirren play evil. Hardy gruffs his way as usual. The moments of violence are surprisingly more subdued and off-camera than expected, leaving those scenes less riveting. The thing that makes this series worth the watch is Mirren’s evil character. Otherwise, it doesn’t offer anything new in the genre and it’s been done better before. (Review based on 8 out of 10 eps with three full seasons announced).

This show is getting WAY better scores than it deserves, I watched it because Tom Hardy. As the episodes went on, I started feeling really bad at just how bad this show is and that Tom has to act in this garbage, some of the most bone-headed decisions at every single turn, it's just bad poor writing for the lowest IQ audience possible, not sure who could watch this and not just shake their head at all the bad non-sensical BS everywhere. Snoozer. Don't watch.

Good cast and this is the only positive things about this serial. The script is bad and idea is pretty repetative.

No charm, on the nose writing, nothing new being brought to the table. I'd rather rewatch The Gentleman series, at least that had some style to it. This is just bland Television.
