When is Hollywood going to learn that the old shows did so good because they didn’t care about politics or woke crap.

Horrible woke reboot thats only focused on filling dei quotas. Just not a good show and more than obvious that they were pushing woke agendas

It's a bit of a miracle that they managed to make this new version as good as it is. It's just as good as the old one.

As someone that enjoyed the original, to see what this version has become is just disgusting, a script with severely outdated narratives and views, all to push out an agenda another “woke” piece of slop ready for the trash heap. Now to get into it, for what was once seen as a comedy the new version is just pure cringe with the only funny parts coming from sections that definitely weren’t meant to be funny. The constant hostility in some characters is just stupid and a lot of the time just totally uncalled for. It reeks of desperation from returning actors to try and grab any little resemblance of fame they once had from a popular IP, and don’t worry of course it comes with virtue signalling as well with the other check marks needed for “woke” tv. If you want to watch a Malcom in the middle show, than stick with the original because this one is pure garbage in every sense of the word, it has no redeeming qualities.

My only reaction to this could be described as the Steve Carell "No, god, please no, NO, NOOOO!"-meme in an eternal loop. Just horrible.

Malcolm in the Middle was the comedy series of a dysfunctional family I always adore, but the 20+ year follow up felt sloppy and confusing like every revival. Honestly, it was really great to see the whole cast except one important face return and somehow the humor still manages to make me laugh.

Malcolm in the Middle Life Still Unfair is a four episode hate crime against nostalgia. The original show was already a dysfunctional anti-white fever dream that somehow worked because it mocked everyone equally authority family the American dream without pretending to lecture you. This revival. It takes that chaotic energy slaps a rainbow filter on it and turns the Wilkersons into a walking HR seminar. What was once sometimes funny cartoonish degeneracy is now a full blown 2026 identity politics circlejerk that screams we have **** kids at home from the very first frame. Congratulations Linwood Boomer and Tracy Katsky you didnt revive the show you exhumed it put it in drag and called it progress. The biggest sins are the lazy retcons and the new non binary kid Kelly who exists solely so the family can have a heartfelt coming out scene that stops the comedy dead. Stevie gets magically gay washed with a husband and adopted kid because apparently the wheelchair bound Black genius wasnt diverse enough the first time around. Every returning character gets an extra sprinkle of 2020s checkbox seasoning indigenous this female led revenge plot that while the actual jokes feel like they were focus grouped by Tumblr. The creators openly admitted they did it because three of their own kids are ****. Cool story. Next time just make a new show instead of hijacking one that used to punch at everyone without apology. This isnt a reboot its a corporate apology letter dressed up as comedy. The original Malcolm was edgy because it didnt give a damn about your feelings. Life Still Unfair gives so many damns it collapses under the weight of its own virtue signaling. Skip it. Re watch the old seasons. At least those knew how to be messed up without turning into propaganda. This thing is unwatchable garbage that deserves to be memory holed right next to every other legacy show they ruined for clout.

Damn near everyone is either gay, trans, in thrupple or a single parent. Noone is even remotely the same character they were in the original. The show is laughably bad and pure crap. Only the wokest of woke will find this show non-stop self inserts enjoyable.

Unexpectedly good, bringing the old joy of watching a Malcolm episode for the first time.

Same feelings I had watching Gladiator **** sad what they did to this series. They should have let it rest and leave us with the good memories.

The actual worst piece of trash I’ve ever seen. They threw the characters out the window. The “comedy” is horrific. Forced, ridiculous and nothing like the original show.

The series retains its spice; the characters are what they are, but it's like wondering what would have happened to them after the series ended. Malcolm, Ritz, Francis, and Stewie, who fared the best, Lois and Hal are phenomenal, except for the new characters who lacked flavor, and the inclusive daughter—something the series was never politically correct about—and the friend whose sexual orientation I don't understand, and it shows. Aside from that, it's clear he's neither here nor there; the others are fantastic, as always.

Years ago, the creator of the original series said that every character have had their dream life, but in this piece of garbage, dewey is the only one that made it out, reese is a failure as a person, francis is inmature, malcolm is inmature, they barely speak about jamie, and kelly is a bad sister. Besides that, the series was made purely for the money and IT SHOWS with the unnecesary fan service, like francis friends or gretchen. The only thing funny about this series is stevie, and in the final chapter they didn´t even made a emotional moment because it just doesn´t connect with you. They should have let the series rest and not touch it, that way they wouldn´t have ruined every characters life. I will never forgive them for making Reese dirty.

I hope all the people complaining about woke Disney writers ruining their lives take 10 seconds to realize that Linwood Boomer, the creator and showrunner of the original series, wrote all 4 of these episodes. It's his continuation of his own story.

Nostalgia fest, but it really has something to say about the passing of time, the importance of individuality within a family, and the need to forgive and redeem yourself to find peace. Funny and entertaining overall.

Stupid, woke garbage. So disappointed. This was one of my favorite childhood shows and they turned it into a political statement. Embarrassing.

The heart and humor is lost in this one. I do not see how you could enjoy this unless you feel obligated by your agenda. Shame how uninspired this show seems, you would think Cranston had better options.

Realistically this show is probably an 8 or a 9, but it has been review bombed for admitting that people may have nuanced feelings about where they fall on the spectrum of humanity, it doesn't even get preachy about it, but boy people sure lined up to be mad about it! If you think this doesn't show a realistic depiction of a household with this many kids... You probably don't listen to everyone in the house, or people do not feel safe admitting to you what they think or feel. ANYWAYS The show provides an enormous amount of laughs, although at times some of the jokes can fall a little flat, as they can be punching repetitively in some of the episodes, although I attribute this to trying to cram SO much into only 4 episodes, this is why I would give an 8 or 9 instead of 10 in a perfect world where people judged on merit. The return of so many familiar faces and the references to the people who have been lost since the original airing is positively heatwarming and lends to some of the best laughs. The return of Brian Cranston's "little men in his head" is a great gag that I am pleased came back, as it was one of my favorite original episodes. I cannot stress enough that these four episodes fly by, and deserve your watch. I cannot stress enough how pleased I am to see the continuity of the character flaws, and the realistic spotlight that is shined on Malcom's flaws, and "nice guy" persona. The show doesn't pull punches from anyone, and shows how each person is damaged in their own way. The show provides a healthy mirror for the average American family to look at, and consider what choices they are making in their inter-familial relationships, and a hints at possible better pathways to follow moving forward.

Agenda doesnt belong is a show like this. I cant support a show that supports the non-binary ideology. All the fun ridiculous scenarios and they ad one that has REAL INTENT and promotes children think its ok to act like biological facts dont exist. Its a shame, the show had some promise.

Totally misses the point with what made Malcolm in the Middle fun. Boring, lacked logic, lacked humour and had a barebones story which was so dull and dragged that I had to push myself to finish the show. Totally would not recommend watching. Feels like they ruined my whole childhood in 4 episodes.

Juste quatre épisodes de bouillie inutile et moralisatrice qui donne l’impression d’avoir été écrite par un comité d’internes Disney aux cheveux bleus qui détestent les familles hétéros et la vraie comédie. Ils ont pris la grossesse surprise de la fin originale, cette bombe Hal et Lois à la dernière seconde, et transformé le gosse en un non-binaire they/them parce que rien ne dit « on respecte le matériel source » comme transformer son bébé surprise en guerrier des pronoms plein d’apathie dépressive, d’embarras paralysant et de fureur impuissante. Malcolm a maintenant une petite amie métisse, parce qu’apparemment la dysfonctionnalité white-picket originale n’était pas assez diverse. Et alors Stevie, ils l’ont rendu super gay, avec deux boucles d’oreilles, marié à un mec blanc, et en train d’élever un fils bébé adopté. Fétichisme de scénariste hollywoodien pur : case, case, et case. 5/5 sur l’échelle de la dégénérescence. Zéro moment drôle. Zéro cœur. Juste une idéologie incessante enfoncée dans votre gorge comme si c’était censé être du "progrès". Ce n’est pas une renaissance, c’est une profanation. Un crime haineux contre l’une des séries les plus drôles jamais créées. ALLEZ BIEN VOUS FAIRE FOUTRE !!!

It's not perfect but still is great fun, with a touching finale. And you can feel the potential, so I'm hoping for more seasons! Is worth the watch!

I used to run home from school to briefly play outside before eating a snack and watching this show, King of the Hill and the Simpsons (or at certain times Dragon Ball Z or Pokemon Indigo League). I LOVED this show and binged it again in anticipation of this reboot. Unfortunately, rather than being a cool and dutiful and well written reboot this is like a Netflix reboot and is worse than even the massacre of Arrested Development (one of my favorite shows for the first 3 seasons, the rest are unwatchable). The show opens on letting us understand the new Malcolm character of the family is a nonbinary sister of Malcolm and Stevie, who was established across literally HUNDREDS of episodes as being girl crazy as a core character feature to the extent he would be underhanded to fulfill it constantly, is totally randomly (like Michel in Netflix's Gilmore Girls reboot, which also was degenerate trash) apparently a married gay man with huge ear gauges??? TOTALLY out of nonwhere and makes ZERO sense to his character. We have a pandemic of writers who literally do not care about what they are writing about or how good the writing is or how much it honors the established content and have active disdain for the audience and insist they should for some reason of personal determination of ideological purity which 80% of the population rejects flatly be able to infiltrate and cuckold the body of what others like and use it as an arbitrary vessel for ideology/LGBTP etc. Insanity and force it on people who hate/reject it even when it doesn't make sense. It's always all climate or gender nonsense or telling western women to get abortions and import the third world, and the writers are incentivized by award structures that literally mandate diversity quotas. It is absolutely absurd and poison to art. People just want to have media that actually tries to be good instead of forcing this evil bs on people. It is not a lot to ask for and very very attainable and people have had enough! This was like watching Elmo tell 3 year olds to go take the covid vaxx. I quit watching after the second episode after spending 2 weeks power watching the original to prepare for it and will never watch this again. It was like the last season of Brooklyn 99 where the gruffest most brutal character left cuz BLM lol. Absolutely delusional, literally the most spiritually inept and empty people in modern mainstream history who think they are moral savants. Living in LA for too long seems to creep into everyone in this way, it is really weird.

God dammit, I'm on your side, but just take the W. Did they make a character gay? Yeah. Did they add a non-binary character? Sure. BUT, not arbitrarily in the latter case- I would argue it's reflective of a modern culture and it works great in this context. Either way, the writing, the characters, etc. Are all faithful to the original. It's a good show, it's funny, the writers clearly studied the original and made something with that foundation in mind with care. To critique though, I suppose it did stray from the same kind of pacing as the original if you ask me, but that's for several reasons. And the gay character? He doesn't need to be gay, but I personally didn't care that much. Realistically, I'd say around an 8/10; going higher because people made assumptions and didn't watch 95% of the show. Just watch it, it's been faithfully changed in the way the comedy comes out and meshes well with the overall story... **** sake, I've been excited since they announced it and I'm very happy with what came out. I just hope for more episodes in the near future and hope you dumbasses don't mess that up.

Competent, comforting, nostalgic fan service with a few benign contemporary tweaks (a non-binary character, etc.) that don't improve or hurt the franchise. Despite the characters being older, it's still pretty much the same, which is the problem. Since it doesn't add anything new to the original series, it's just superfluous fan service.

Look how they massacred my boy lol. I got like what 3 minutes in and already don’t care to watch it anymore. Currently watching the original series with my kids. This reboot can stay locked in the cellar and rot. Lois needs to have one of her signature scream fits at the writers.

Non-binary? What the Hell is that, a robot? The original show ****. It was a joke amongst everyone I knew. It's not hard to be funnier than the show itself!

A completely unneeded cash grab. It adds nothing to the legacy of the original series and exists only so that a streaming service has more slop to put out. I'm tiered of seeing shows and films I used to love get revived or rebooted for no reason. It's too short to add anything meaningful to the Malcolm in the Middle original series, It isn't even written well enough to be viewed as an epilogue and honestly I don't think the writers even understand what made the show so great all those years ago. It's just pointless. And yes, personally I hate how they had to chuck in "modern audience" slop like Kelly being non binary and Stevie being gay and looking like a woman (Stevie having been written in the original series as having been quite into women btw. No one remember the speed boat episode or how he'd flirt with girls in school?). It served no purpose to the plot or the legacy of the original characters. You literally could have not had any of that in there and the plot wouldn't have been any different. She gives the most out of touch speech on gender in it. Like didn’t Lois and Hall have another baby at the end of the original series and they kept the sex of the baby a secret, as a kind of ‘screw the audience’ joke? To not understand that and think this is acceptable in it's continuation is just stupid. I see a lot of people write that it's faithful to the original show. As someone who rewatched seasons 1-3 not that long ago, I ask have you even watched the originals at all? Because I really doubt it. Go rewatch them and then rewatch this one. If you can't see that they're completely of different quality then I have a bridge to sell you.

Im so sad! It hurts me! It hurts me so bad, that they had(!) to use my most favorite show of all time as a platform to push their woke agenda! Why doesn't Disney create NEW IPs to push that message? Why do they have(!) to taint existing and beloved IPs? I'm disappointed in Bryan Cranston, Frankie Muniz and the rest of the crew. How could they read the script and follow through with it? Well, seems like their love for the show isn't that great after all.

Oh no! Way to ruin the past. My whole family loved the old series, my sons especially and we only watched them in 2025. We were waiting for this reboot and what a waste of waiting it has been. Basically, it's a parade of woke pretending to be the norm. Seriously, who writes this stuff? Take your soy latte with extra fluff and enjoy yourself somewhere else, the rest of us don't want to live in your fantasy world.

Lois no longer cares about family and sidelines Francis. The whole family are awful meeting Malcolm’s daughter online. It’s very modern with texting and zoom calls. It forced in a non-binary character, turned straight characters homosexual, managed to complain about the police and forced in several rants about men. It completely lost track of what it was supposed to be. Dont watch this garbage as it will ruin the ending of one of the greatest sitcoms ever for you.

This show is so unsettling. Too much woke garbage and trying to please modern day people then please the original fans. Such a terrible show. I would only watch the original and never watched this new one ever again.

It was a slow burn, but by the end of the fourth episode I was enjoying it and laughing out loud. I would love for the show to continue. It feels like as soon as it properly gets into its rhythm its over too soon. Leaving you wanting to see more.
