This game is fan-freaking-tastic! All the characters are likeable and funny in some way. The dialog is clever, quirky, and humorous and the voice acting across the board is superb. The mystery itself was actually intriguing and had me wondering what was going on with genuine curiosity of wanting to piece everything together. The payoff was good and the cumulative parts of the mystery paid off well. I'm already playing the previous game now!

This game has its positives and negatives. The art style is top notch which I'm sure you can find loads of images of on google. This isn't a deck builder like slay the spire that has absolutely 0 story,. I'd say 70^ of the time you'll be listening to characters banter and watching cut scenes of the main story. The first half introduces the universe, factions and history and is spent on recruiting your crew/pilots. he characters all get along and are most are extremely likeable with a few that are just so boring that you'll never think about them after beating the game ever again. The story tries to tell a unique and interesting scifi space story with cool robots which it kind of succeeds at but the devs clearly wanted to flood this game with multiple love stories that derailed the core story massively for me. Keep in mind that this is definitely a LGTBQ+ game which I didn't realize before playing. The first half the gayness is mild but noticeable but by the 2nd half every damn scene of every damn planet is about some gay relationship not just the lead characters but the entire damn ship. I kid you not at least 50% of the cast is gay in this game and the other 50% are probably gay too but you just don't see their love life on screen. This is 50% gay dating sim 50% card battler. Btw keep in mind once you pick cards you can't take them out of your deck which I've seen a lot of people complain about on the steam forums. That part doesn't bother me so much as that was the way the game was designed to be played I just wish that was explained to you during the tutorial as I was draftin cards (recruiting pilots) solely to learn the characters back story but it ended up bloating my deck. It doesn't really matter though because 9/10 fights are still really easy even on the hardest difficulty. I think the devs need to tweak the difficulty by maybe giving each enemy 1-2 extra health or 1 extra damage to ratchet up the difficulty a big. Only a handful of fights in the 20 hours I played gave me any trouble. You can draft any pilots without consideration for synergies and probably still win but when synergies do happen they're fun and rewarding. This game will not hook you like slay the spire or monster train. This game does not compare in fun factor to either of those but its fun enough to play for a weekend and never pick up again at least until some DLC releases. Mid deck builder, with mild amounts of fun but nothing to write home about.

Let me be clear that this game should not be called a "Remake" and instead should be a "Remaster" This is basically the exact same game as the original with better graphics. The story and audio are exactly the same (minus extremely minor tweaks to incorporate the new interface) which I think was a missed opportunity to improve parts of the story telling and map layout. It is still a good game but I'm just not a big fan of remakes that don't do anything other than update the graphics because to me that is the definition of a remaster. The game looks decent but won't blow your mind. I won't call the game a cash grab, but Konami played this as safe as they possibly could having lost the genius of Hideo Kojima.

About 35 hours into the game and I'm enjoying the game solo thus far but I wish I could team up with even just 1 other player but that hasn't been the case even once despite asking every person I see. I know the game was meant for coop despite being basically impossible now that everyone has moved on to The Division 2 years ago so I'm not holding that against the game. Great graphics, runs smoothly on a low-mid level gaming laptop (3050 Ti). Movement in combat has been very fluid and the cover system has been exceptional. The gun variety is nice and although I'm not FPS expert, as I barely play competitive shooters the guns feel diverse enough with enough difference in punchyness, kickback, reload speed, and steadiness between guns. Environments all kind of look the same but I really dig the atmosphere of the game. Some zones at night are creepy while during the day feel alive and exciting. Overall digging the game!

This is a mid-game review as I'm about to finish the second zone. The game has been decently fun so far, but it hasn't captivated me to the point where I'm constantly thinking about it and eager to play. It's good, but not great, and definitely not **** graphics are impressive, but there are random FPS drops. The game has crashed on me about ten times, despite having a decent graphics card and 32GB of RAM. I believe these crashes are due to poor optimization, as many other reviewers have **** gameplay is easy to pick up, and the combat is enjoyable with just the right amount of difficulty. I really like the dash skill and parry system, which add a new element to combat. I started playing on the second hardest difficulty and am now on the hardest (Path of the Damned). I've died a bunch of times, but the deaths mostly feel fair. Some enemies, especially melee ones, are pushovers as they don't do enough DPS to be a threat, while others, like priests, mages, and rangers, seem overpowered and hit like trucks. I think the mobs need some balancing to make certain enemies stronger. When entering a new zone, some enemies feel like damage sponges, but once you gear up, that becomes less of a problem. You can still attempt it if you like a challenge. However, the gear upgrade system is awful. It's complicated to explain, but essentially, you're incentivized not to pick up unique items until you've upgraded the gear you already have, which is a terrible design choice. I think this is the primary reason the game is just good but not **** enemy pathing needs a lot of work. Enemies chase you and then randomly run back to their original spot, similar to many MMOs. It looks and feels off when they do that.I've met two companions so far, and both have likable but bland personalities, especially Marius the ranger. He never wants to share anything about himself, which makes sense early on, but I'm halfway through the game and still know nothing about his backstory. These companions are nowhere near as cool as those in Mass Effect, but they are serviceable, I **** the way, I turned off pronouns from the start because I don't think they belong in a game like this. In a game like Life is Strange, sure, but not in Avowed. I didn't deduct any points for the pronouns, but it's still annoying.

Nexomon: Extinction

Art Style & World Design: For this type of game, the art style is stunning, earning a 9/10. The game world is beautifully crafted, and the Nexomon designs are impressive for the most part. Exploration & Scaling: One of the game's highlights is how mobs and enemy trainers scale with your level, no matter the zone. This means you can explore and revisit old areas without worrying about being over-leveled. The ability to see where wild Nexomon are hiding in the brush is also a great feature, allowing you to avoid unwanted battles and focus on the story. Storyline & Humor: The story is decent with a touch of maturity. I'm not a fan of the constant fourth wall-breaking jokes, though I understand some players might find them amusing. Combat & Mechanics: Here's where the game stumbles. The combat is heavily skewed towards DPS moves, rendering status effect moves almost useless due to their low proc rates. This becomes frustratingly apparent as they seem to work far less often than advertised, making me want to pull my hair out at times. While I attempted to mix things up with these ineffective moves, I found that spamming the basic 25% crit move, which almost every Nexomon starts with, was the most efficient strategy. This level of min/maxing feels out of place for a game in this genre. Overall Impression: Due to the combat shortcomings, I can only rate this game as average at best. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone other than die-hard Pokémon fans.

I haven't gotten very far into the game. I've played a few hours. I usually don't factor in price when I'm reviewing a game because price changes all the time but I bought this for $1 and I absolutely got $1 and more of worth of fun time. The graphics are above average but not top tier because its a live service game. However you can drive the entire across the entire USA end to end which is a very cool feature and adds alot of diversity to the scenery and artistic style of the game. The street racing is fun and plays like an arcade racing game where pretty much everyone can pick it up. It isn't realistic in the slightest which makes it accessible to all but might frustrate and bore the ardent racing fans. I'm not the biggest racing game fan and rather casual but for me its fun in quick bursts which is exactly what I was looking for. Overall the game is mid.

This game is so damn good. The graphics speak for themselves, they are best in class. The world building of the Remedyverse is incredible. The game strikes the perfect balance of horror and comedy. The story telling is top tier. Yes sweet baby inc was involved in this game but don't let that slop of a fake company's involvement sour you on this game. do yourself a favor and BUY THIS GAME! DO NOT PIRATE IT! PLEASE SUPPORT THE DEVELOPER!

This game is criminally underrated. The graphic are stellar and the art design top notch. Viewing the world from a high mountain is kind of mindblowing in terms of the view distance and the diversity of the different biomes. The humor is really appreciated and fits the overall vibe of the game world really well. Characters throughout are funny and welcomed additions to the narrative. The world Ubisoft created is absolutely gorgeous and I know this game gets compared to Zelda BotW a lot but honestly it blows that game away both graphically and aesthetically. How beautiful this game is on the eyes cant be understated, its pure visual splendor! Gameplay is on the high end with super smooth and responsive combat. There are tons of mini tasks sprinkled all over the map. It is actually quiet daunting to think about tackling them all at first glance and I subtracted a point from the score because some of the puzzles are super easy and mundane and I wish some required just a bit more thinking and effort. As an RPG there are tons of option on how you want to build your character with a diverse range of upgrades. I subtracted another point for replayability because I don't see many gamers returning to the game after beating it the first time. I myself definitely won't because I have a massive backlog of games already but as a first time playthrough its top notch! I know people kind of hate Ubisoft right now, but this game is actually top tier in terms of being a total package and considering how cheap this game can be purchased its a no brainer! Buy this game you won't be disappointed!
