Season 1 is worth watching because it was written from the original book and the BBC and Amazon prime weren't as interested in pushing DEI into every show. Season 2 (and likely season 3) was injected with DEI representation and a boring plot. These two things amplified each other so both are much more noticeable. It's one of the best examples of how to do inclusivity poorly. If you don't believe me, watch season 2 for yourself and you'll notice.

THANK YOU HUMANITY FOR THIS MASTERPIECE!! I am in love with Aziraphale and Crowley, perfect cast, gripping, beautiful but heartbreaking storyline — we can’t continue life on earth without another season!

They go full bud light and make everything about promoting homosexual relationships and discounting authority or traditional religion. Their egos pretend to be wiser than any higher power and lead people astray to pursue gratification of the ego and wrongdoing.

Absolutely adore this show! Season one had a great plot, and a wonderful sense of humor. The acting is on point! Can't go wrong with David Tennant and Michael Sheen. Season two was a great follow up to season one. Episode six is heart wrenching in all the right ways. Neil Gaiman gave us everything we wanted for the entire season, and an ending we didn't see coming (and didn't knew we needed). Super excited to see where he takes our beloved characters in season three. Chemistry between Tennant and Sheen really shines this season. Their banter is perfectly polished, and expertly written. Costuming is absolutely beautiful. Set dressing is also gorgeous. Everything about season two was top tier. Not a single complaint from this long time fan!

This is a faithful adaptation of a humorous novel co-written by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. It is a quirky and lighthearted comfort tale about the apocalypse that doesn't explode onto the screen so much as charm its way in through a back window.

I will never forget the moment I decided to give this show a shot. It was 3 years ago. I binged it in one night. It was magical. I watched the first season at least 5 times and never got bored with it. Every time I'm in need of comfort Good Omens doesn't disappoint. When the announcement came that they would make a second season I was overjoyed. Though I must admit I was a tad scared to watch it when it was released. I was afraid it wouldn't be as good as the first season. And I somewhat put off watching it, because you can watch something for the first time only once. I think that statement alone should show what an amazing show Good Omens really is. A few days after S2 was released I finally couldn't hold off anymore and binged it. I laughed. I cried. I grieved. I was completely submerged into the show. I still haven't quite recovered. It's been a very long time since something made me feel so much. I expect I'll rewatch S2 at least as often as season 1. Every second of the show is worth it. It's a masterpiece like I haven't seen before. Summary: It's a Masterpiece (capital letter required)

The story is okay but it's really saved by David Tennant and Michael Sheen's characters and performances.

Although quirky and charming the series falls flat in a few different ways. The plot is shallow and the characters in the series have almost no agency over it in the first place. This isn't bad when David Tennant and Michael Sheen are on screen, but the other characters feel entirely out of place. The best part about this show is the fact it's a miniseries. It's quick to get through and doesn't overstay it's welcome like many American shows of similar quality. It's certainly good enough to watch, especially if you just want to experience the banter between the two main characters.

Neil Gaiman’s “Good Omens” is clearly channeling Douglas Adams and Monty Python, and even though the results might not be as funny or visionary, it’s still a pretty solid show. It’s not the first time irreverent comedy is used to debunk religion and mankind’s warmongering tendencies, but it’s hardly as sharp and inventive as it is here. The only problem might be the plot, which didn’t make much sense and felt a little underwhelming if considered the premise. The continuous digressions might have made the pacing a little off, but it’s probably the first time the digressions are actually more entertaining than the main thing. The chemistry between Michael Sheen and David Tennant is so good that you just want to watch them interact the whole time. I particularly liked the bits that retell moments in history and episodes from the Bible in the show’s own cheeky and sarcastic way. In the end, who really cared about the Antichrist and his “Stranger Things” friends?

'Good Omens' is a TV series that is made up of comprises of 6 episodes. It was directed by Douglas Mackinnon in 2019 and is based on a novel that was written by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman in **** lead roles are played by David Tennant and Michael Sheen. An angel, whose name is Aziraphale and a demon, Crowley, want to stop the approaching Armageddon, because they like their lives on earth. The opening title sequence is really great with a wonderful musical accompaniment. This TV series brightly stands out from other series. It is hard to overlook it and it attracts attention. 'Good Omens' is unusual, with an entertaining atmosphere and a nonstandard approach to well-known topics, but in an unconventional way. Fans of Terry Pratchett's and Neil Gaiman's creativity will be happy to watch it, but it will be interesting for moviegoers who haven't read a novel too. Written by Anastasiia Shystovska

Curtir demais!!

I’m trying to like it. I mean, I’m really trying. It just feels off; essentially too contrived. Will keep watching, however so far having a tough time continuing on.

David Tennant as a rock god of a demon and Michael Sheen as a conflicted angel are pure magic! The rest of the cast supports them wonderfully.

the show had a great set up. I loved the intro, the way it shows history was funny. once I got to the end of the last episode I found it very anticlimactic, but I guess that's pretty much the point

While a well made production the problem is that the show cannot decide what it wants to be. It has the feel of a kids show but its very inappropriate for children. It come soff as a comedy but the jokes are incredibly dry and flat. It has some dramatic elements but it never gets serious about any of it. It might make for a great adaptation of the source material but as for a modern show it is boring, unfunny, and lacking depth. Would do better off watching American Gods or even Lucifer. This series ends up being roughly in the middle. Not quite funny and not quite thought provoking. I would almost be upset had it not been for there only being six episodes and knowing I have spent time in much worse ways. Honestly if summer 2019 had not been so terrible of a TV season this would be much worse scored, but having so little to compete with it makes for middle of the road filler show. While a second season might improve it, It will likely struggle more in a better season.

very cool! I liked the humor and respect for the original source) I think the series is worth seeing only because of the duet Tennant and Sheen. Just kidding For the sake of the magnificent duo Gaiman and Pratchett, who gave the world this masterpiece!

Very nearly perfect miniseries. The chemistry between Michael Sheen's Aziraphale and David Tennant's Crowley elevates the series from "good" to "great". The pacing is excellent: 6 one hour episodes is the perfect length to draw you in without overstaying it's welcome, and makes the show perfect for binging.

A great novel mangled by one of its original authors. The humor fails to land, likely from the absence of Terry Pratchett. The characters don't work. Fun twists are thrown away. Good parts of the novel are discarded for some new material that is inferior. On the whole the series is a slog. I've read this book more times than I can remember since it came out. While the dialog is occasionally word-for-word, dropping some lines now deemed inappropriate, something is lost in the translation to screen, direction or the skill of the actors that aren't Tennant and Sheen. That leads me to the biggest error. David Tennant should have been Aziraphale and Michael Sheen should have been Crowley, not the other way around. The book is just better and you could probably read it with the same investment of time.

A combination of cheeky British humor, and an unlikely buddy adventure. Theologically it’s a hot mess, but too fun to spoil the ride. All star cast!

This is a very very VERY biased score. I know the series is not perfect (the energy kinda simmers down whenever the story wonders off to the side casts), BUT it got right what really matters. For me, Good Omens is ultimately the story of Aziraphale and Crowley, and the series GOT IT. The casting choices and the acting of Michael Sheen and David Tennant are so bloody great that they override the few wrongs the series has. They just kill it whenever they are on screen. I know it might sound a bit shallow to give a 10 just from the casting and performance of two characters. However, considering I have been waiting for this adaptation for almost two decades with unrealistic expectation, and the main casts somehow manage to EXCEED that absurdly unrealistically high expectation, a 10 is the least I can give the series.

"Good Omens" S01 (Amzn, 6, 1-hr eps) had the potential to be great, it really did, it has a good storyline and a stellar cast so where does it fail - direction and a budget that limited it to a first-time filmmaker's effort. Doug Mackinnon (British director) hasn't really distinguished himself with any production and he continues his legacy of mediocrity here, too. His vision for this telling is frivolous and trite even as he's hamstrung by a budget that can't afford costuming and VFX that match the story's needs. All this makes for a poor, lackluster vision for what angels and demons are - dapper humans, apparently - and for what heaven appears to be - something akin to the all white Apple stores of yore within a NYC-style cityscape. There's a lot of offbeat British humor that never really scores, British cultural and societal mannerisms that are offputting, but brightside, there are snippets of Queen's hits throughout. However, I could only make it into episode five - where the Four Horsemen which includes two women because you know gender diversity was so important in ancient times (not) are regular 'ole humans on motorcycles - before I had enough of the nonsense and idiocy, sticking through it to the end would've been more painful than I could further endure, because believe me, you have to forgive a whole lot of frivolity to make it that far. It's ashame, so much potential just frittered away.

To be quite honest, the end of the world isn't very enjoyable-- if you didn't have Michael Sheen and David Tenant that is. The show is a bit wonky at times, but the character dynamic of Arizaphale and Crowley somehow get me through it. Overall: stay for those two, as the rest may as well be mediocre.

It is hard to work out who this show is for. It seems like it would be good for children but it has a 12 rating and contains bad language. When Sheen and Tennant are present it is genuinely entertaining but it is let down by almost unbearable child actors and the puzzling casting of Jack Whitehall.

Unfortunately, only mediocrity. why? It depends on the fact that only Sheen and Tennant convince. Episode 2 is stinkly-bent and is of no use. The humour is the same but the actors don't fit. I will look at the rest and then keep reporting as I am only on episode 3.

How does one simply sum up a six hour sudo religious modern alternative family romp… Well Good Omens was ok, the characters felt like they had genuine personality. The two main characters Crowley (David Tennant) and Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) portrayed everything the script gave them, with so much effort it came across a bit hammy, which ironically this was not one of John Hamm's good performances with him only actually displaying gravatas in a few of the scenes his purple contacts forced their way into. Run on sentences aside, it felt as though the direction was pushing for Terry Pratchett's unique settings where absurdity becomes a self contained world do to its own internal logic. The results however, bad cg and lackluster acting, with a story that felt it had no real conclusion did not leave me satisfied. I get the feeling this show was made for a very specific demographic, and considering the advertisement, and budget that went into this I hope it resonates with the homosexual Christian community. If you all don't like it none of us will. All disappointment aside I finished it in a sitting and only felt Ill from bad script writing once, nearly cringing myself to death towards the end of episode 5. Thank you for trying, next time let the actors tell you home much is the right amount to act, not the detector or script.

I thought this would at least bear some resemblance to the bible however it twists and does what it likes when it likes to suite its own self-indulgent need for some comic effect. Both main protagonists while very good actors, come across as trying too hard. It verges on ‘life of brianesque’ spoof at the best of tikes. What an absolute load of bollocks.

Very much a hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy vibe. Entertaining from start to finish. Would have loved maybe 8-10 episodes to flesh things out even more, but don't believe the miserable people giving it bad reviews. Must watch for sure!
