This game is definitely one of the best open worlds of the year. The world is absolutely beautiful and I always wanted to see what was around the next corner. The narrative had many moments that made me chuckle and rarely did I travel far without something drawing my eye and taking me away from what I originally set out to do. The only thing that holds me back from a 10 is the somewhat repetitive enemies in each area. However, combat is top notch and just becomes more engaging with every upgrade and skill unlock. Definitely has a breath of the wild feel at times but I think it is more taking inspiration from it than thoughtless copy and paste. Some criticize the puzzles being too easy but I found them appropriate in most situations. Some I figured out instantly and some required a little thought but I never got frustrated or felt like they were too simple, the balance felt right for me. The characters are fun and entertaining and you can easily enjoy losing 40-50 hours to this game if you seek out all the skins and upgrade materials. I look forward to any DLC and will definitely be revisiting this game down the road. I Liked it so much I’m getting a copy as a gift for my daughter for Christmas! Highly recommend this for a light hearted and fun adventure.

Don't listen to all the hate. Amazing game, beautiful visuals, great mechanics and characters that can be played in so many ways. If you like looter shooters this is a must have in your game library. I've played through all 3 and they just keep getting better.

RAGE 210

First off, rage 2 is probably more like an 8.5/10, but I had to try and balance out all the crazy hate being spread about it. Go watch ACG review it on YouTube for some great detailed points. I would agree that it's a little odd for a game in 2019 to not have 4K at least as an option (So many games let you choose "resolution" or "performance" in the options). That aside, I played it on PS4 Pro and don't agree with the people saying the visuals are bad. I would love Rage 2 to be able to get 4K on the PS4 Pro but as of now that's just not the deal. Moving on, the gameplay is so much fun and is clearly the star of this game! The guns, equipment and abilities allow for so many ways to destroy your enemies. I found myself always chasing the next upgrade or power. There is SO MUCH to upgrade here it can be overwhelming at first, but once you decide on your favorites you can pretty quickly become an ultimate killing machine. The game knows you want to be powerful and it doesn't stop you from getting there however you want. When you do die, it's simple to rethink your approach and use a completely different set of guns and powers to correct your mistake. One thing I loved, and maybe not everybody will, is that you can carry everything at all times! You don't have to worry about what should I equip and what should I leave at a base, it's ALL with you ALL the time and is easy to switch between. I didn't expect a ground breaking story (it definitely is not one), but that's not why I wanted Rage 2. This game is about the freedom to play how you want and is great whether you pick it up for a 5 minute fix or a 5 hour session. Don't listen to the negativity about Rage 2, it's a blast to play and my only gripe this far is that I wish they had given me the option to experience it all in 4K on my PS4 Pro. Again, I say 8.5/10, losing a bit for the lack of 4K in a generation where it has become standard.

It has it's issues like ALMOST every other game out there, but the game is fun and, in my opinion, has a good cast of characters that present a good story. Some of the critics out there are overly harsh and I'm not really sure why. It deserves to be rated higher than "bad" or "mediocre" for sure. For me nothing comes close to GOW since it's release, but this is a different kind of game than that and I appreciate it for what it is and really enjoy playing it.
