You see the ingredients for a fun show. Great actors, beautiful locations, an entertaining story. But it somehow didn`t click for me. It lacks a distinctive artistic vision. It seems like a mix of Bosch and the White Lotus but has neither the local authenticity of the first nor the bleak cynicism of the later.

Over produced trash TV. Nothing compelled me beyond the opening few minutes.Vince Vaughn has done an interesting mixture of the good the bad and the ugly. This is firmly in the ugly category. Avoid.

This is pretty good. The mystery is complex enough to keep a season going. Vince Vaughn is funny. The story is funny. The characters are funny. The misunderstandings are funny. The dialog is funny. The pacing is funny. This is one of the few TV shows that I actually look forward to the next episode. It's not a perfect show but it is good enough. Our view is: "watch this and enjoy. Stream it and get some popcorn."

Vince Vaughn has a unique comic style of off-hand comments that's usually amusing. It's working for him in this series, as he plays a former police detective who's been reduced to restaurant inspector. Even so, he insists on pursuing the mystery of a severed arm that was fished out of the water in the Keys. There's also a parallel plot in the Bahamas featuring Ronald Peet as a man whose house has been demolished by a real estate developer. The voiceover promises that these 2 plots will intertwine later in the series. There's also cast of enjoyable supporting characters. Meanwhile, the mystery twists and Vaughn's wisecracks keep it entertaining, making it more rewarding than the typical procedural. Review based on 3 out of 10 eps.

The narrator talking endlessly absolutely destroys the vibe. Wanted to like the show but the commentary is so annoying.

I’m giving this a 5 because the voice over quality **** major ass. At first episode, I thought this series would be realistic with a pinch of Vaughn’s humor but apparently in episode 2 there exists a restaurant in Key West that has dead rats and rat **** in the kitchen…

Vince Vaughn is usual self. Funny at times. The commentary throughout is very annoying and unnecessary

Fun, well made and engaging. Hiaasen has finally gotten a media treatment worthy of his prose.

So far it's a six. It reminds me of a number of different PI vibed cop shows/comedies and that's a good thing. Vince Vaughn is perfectly cast and quippy af. Natalie Martinez is and will always be perfect. She could be on QVC and I'd watch. Great supporting cast as well. I'm intrigued and I'll watch all ten seasons. If it keeps going on this trajectory, I can only hope for a season 2.

bloated, slow, charmless, non-sensical, self-important. And that's not just Vince Vaughn. It's the whole damn first episode. Not a single smirk. Total waste
