Simply to best written and acted Star Wars ever. Amazing high moments, incredible character backstory/depth, chilling insights into the inner workings of the empire and the rebellion. This series sets a new high bar for Star Wars and science fiction television and movies.

Sorry, but this is not Star Wars. It's so depressing and way too dark in its core. Where is the adventure? I mean, even Rouge One had some fun in it despite its War Movie Character. Yes, I know that it is about the heroes who have to die for the Rebellion and so on. But come on! You better watch The Mandalorian or even Skeleton Crew.

Never expected to see a Disney Star Wars-Content with good story and writing. I would have liked to see a little bit more action, especially with the Tie-fighters, but thats a minor complaint, because the story was thrilling even without action scenes.

After a slightly ponderous start, this series turns into the best Star Wars production to date, by a country mile. It makes me so happy to write that after all the terrible Star Wars that has been made. I can't imagine why this show hasn't been seen by every adult on earth apart from the fact that it's on Disney plus and everyone knew before it came out that Disney can't make Star Wars. . . Where the heck were these writers and creators when the other shows and movies were getting destroyed?!?! amazing show, amazing cast, some of the best acting in cinema history. I'm stunned. Very pleased and very stunned. Disney would be insane to make more Star Wars like the bad instead of more like this in the future. I just hope it can go forward without the "modernization"s. And I REALLY hope the people in production get the recognition, promotions and additional jobs they deserve.

Imagine being so mentally challenged to rate this show poorly because it lacks action or is slow paced. I guess GoT is unwatchable for some too. It's called intrigue or tension you tiktok brainwashed pithecanthrops. Andor is a masterpiece and deserves praise. Although it has some minor hickups here and there in character decisions , and it lacks kissing because it disturbs the fragile androgenous modern audience I guess, Andor will remain one my fave tv shows and probably the best Star Wars has to offer. Hats off to actresses, they have incredible skill of the arts them ladies

Rogue One has to be the best modern day addon to the star wars lore. Yet this Andor show really put together Andor, Mon Motha, the rebellion etc. Bravo.

Who would have thought the best thing to come from Disney Star Wars is a non star wars TV series. This is by far the most compelling must watch TV series from Disney. The story is well thought out, finely crafted, and engaging without being loud and in your face. The underlying message is so poignantly relevant to what is happening around the world today. Bravo to all those involved. It ended at its peak and leaves viewers wanting more.

The absolute greatest that Star Wars has ever been. I'll even go as far as to say, Andor is better than the original trilogy. Although MAYBE Empire Strikes Back still holds true at #1.

The three main reasons why I didn't enjoy Andor were: 1) It's really boring. 2) It feels like the writer has never seen Star Wars before. It doesn't feel like Star Wars. It feels like someone has just written a standard story, and then stuck it in the Star Wars universe. 3) Most the characters have an English accent. This makes it feel like a cheap BBC sci-fi show, rather than Star Wars.

Every 45-minute episode is jam-packed with about 12 minutes worth of action—seemingly as a way to extract full value out of the very expensive sets. It's just terrible storytelling. I have given it multiple chances to engage me but I am now done.

A spectacular return to form and a love letter for Star Wars fans. Andor reaches deep into the heart of what made Star Wars great in the first place and carves out a brilliant sci-fi spy thriller which explains how the rebellion came to be.

Wow. I am absolutely blown away by this show. This is the best Star Wars story I have ever watched. This is a story about the people of the galaxy building and creating the presence of the rebellion against the authoritarian nightmare that is the rebellion. There is no sith, jedi, or force in this show. Just excellent writing and incredible story arcs. Andor is the prequel show to the movie Rogue One, and if you have yet to see Rogue One, you should watch Andor first. It will attach you deeper to some of the characters.

Overly complicated for two seasons. Couldn’t understand if what they were talking about was a character or a planet.

Season 2 is dull, poorly written and boring for long stretches. I mean, it’s better than some of the other dreck they’ve been serving us but it’s a chore to watch.

It takes real skill to make Star Wars boring, but they somehow managed it. Incredibly boring, very pretentious and completely forgettable.

Surprisingly brilliant series. It surprised a few of us, showing that Disney are still capable of writing a good show. Had a slow start, but once it got going really impressed. This and Rogue One is finally a good Star Wars story from Disney.

I almost stopped watching this having watched the first two episodes of series one! I'm glad I persisted, as it did get better. The costumes and sets are excellent, but the protagonist is average at best. Luckily there are a plethora of British and Irish actors who steal the show and make it far better! Overall I enjoyed series one. I'd watch it again.

This is a rare show where the production values, writing, acting and directing all work together to tell an engaging story. Who would have thought one of the best espionage series would originate from the Star Wars universe?

This show is a monumental galactic snoozefest. I was recommended this show by several people and had already given up on Disney’s take on Star Wars long ago due to too many flops. The Lucas Star Wars movies—even the prequels—tower over any of this Disney rubbish, yet I hoped this one would be different given all the praise.Well, let me tell you—it was not different. It’s another motley crew cast of diversity hires, none of whom actually feel like whole characters. The protagonist seems like he doesn’t even want to be there most of the time, and the plot is more complicated than solving a Rubik’s Cube blindfolded. I mean, what was Disney thinking?Also—no Jedi? It feels like a space version of Mad Men with mediocre acting, confusing plot lines, and the occasional decent episode. But seriously, when I see episodes rated 9 or 10 on IMDb, I wonder: who are the people giving it these scores? Are we living in the movie Idiocracy, where average is the new exceptional—or am I missing something? At best, I’d say it’s above average for a modern TV show, and well above average for a Disney Star Wars show—but nothing to write home about.

What a masterpiece. Everything works: There is tension all the time, not even one episode feels like a filler. Many characters are grey, not easy to see through, well written. Acting on a high level. Visually its great, you can see the big budget they had. On top on that, its Star Wars franchise. What I am appreciate the most is, that it is Star Wars, but there is no jedi, force, sith lord talking, or laser sword fights, which we had so often. They showed us an interesting piece of the SW universe: intelligence authority, spy jobs, bureaucracy. I was worried about political correctness, also because its Disney, and yes, there are some elements, but not often. I would like to see more seasons of this series, but it was over only after 2 seasons.

The slow build of the first episodes leads to a narrative and emotional climax that feels like true **** series dares to show the Empire from the inside — its bureaucratic machinery of oppression — and also what it costs to resist: fear, sacrifice, loss. There’s no black or white here, only a kind of moral complexity rarely seen in the Star Wars universe. Andor feels like cinema in serial form. It’s tension, drama, resistance. It’s fire. And hopefully, the future of the saga will rise from this very flame.

It was a slow burn but the story arc ended well with the final few episodes closed off the plot lines in a neat crescendo that was a satisfying end to the only decent show that Disney has produced in a long long time..

7.0/10 ~ Fantastic prequal to star wars best movie Andor takes a completely diffrent approach to pretty much anything from Disney era of Star wars by showing you the hardships, pain, struggle of what it takes to run a rebellion. I did not really feel hand held through Andor like the sequel movies, and this overall felt like it was for adults, not kids. Andor himself was a pretty good character, but the rest of the cast was pretty hit or miss on their character or acting /delivery. S1 was much better then S2, except for the last few episodes really tying it all together with the Rogue 1 movie which I did appreciate immensely. About 3-4 episodes worth of time in S1 and about 7-8 episodes of S2 I really felt board and just wanted it to be done with. With about half the total runetime being a general waste, I am a bit conflicted on how much I liked this one, but over all looking back at my time, the highs were much higher then the lows and that is a good place to be. Now go and make an old republic movie with KOTR energy. Plox

I remember when they first announced the Andor TV series, I thought: "Another useless show that no one asked for, destined to flop." Well, I was completely wrong!How can Disney make a terrible series starring an amazing, beloved character like Ahsoka, and at the same time create a brilliant show around someone like Cassian Andor a character nobody really cared about? I HAVE NO IDEA. What I do know is that today I'm here to give Andor a 10/10, because it's undeniably the best Star Wars series ever made, and one of the best projects in the entire franchise. I highly recommend it to everyone it's incredibly enjoyable even for NON-fans, who could actually use it as a perfect entry point into the Star Wars universe.

The only good Star Wars content from Disney and it's up there with A New Hope. Watch Andor, Rogue One, and New Hope in that order. That's the new definitive trilogy.

What Star Wars was meant to be. A more adult, gritty reality check of life under the oppression of the empire. A human display of struggle and grief fuelling the rebellion. A gripping portrayal of events leading up to a New Hope. The prologue that Star Wars always deserved.

’Andor’ is far and away one of the best things that Star Wars has put out in a long time. While ‘The Mandalorian’ gave us classic Star Wars fun, Andor gave us heart, emotion, drama, and suspense plus really fantastic cinematography, great dialogue, and some really memorable performances. Genevieve O’Reilly is a standout as Mon Mothma, while Elizabeth Dulau knocks her acting debut out of the park. There really is no one on the cast who didn’t give us something special. It does start of slow, but episodes 7, 8, and 9 were some of the best tv you’ll watch this year. ‘Andor’ season 2 was a fitting end to the series and set us up for ‘Rogue One’ with so much more depth and emotional connection to Cassian and the gang. Hollywood Video was great about keeping everything in alphabetical order, but at 7 I had no idea that the different genres were separated into sections as well. Was I in sci-fi or fantasy? Family or action/adventure? I don't know. And with the ultimate dissolution of Hollywood Video, I suppose I never will, but it doesn't matter. Fate, or the Force, moves in mysterious ways. "I found one," I said, bringing forward the VHS. "You know that's not the first one," my dad said. I shrugged. I didn't care. The cover looked cool. An overarching badguy, two laser-swords crossing in a dangerous battle, a handsome man and a beautiful girl looking at one another longingly... This looked like a pretty epic adventure, and the title set it off even more. The Empire Strikes Back. It sounds like they meant business. I had no idea then, but that moment in Hollywood Video with my dad would stay with me forever. It's funny how our brain decides to keep certain memories and dump off other ones in an Inside Out fashion. One wouldn't necessarily think that a decades-old memory of my renting Episode V would have stayed with me, but I suppose the impact that Star Wars has had on my life gives a bit of an explanation as to why. I watched The Empire Strikes Back for the first time at 7 and fell in love with Leia, wished I could swing a saber and move things with my mind like Vader, idolized the swagger of Han, listened to the wisdom of Yoda, and couldn't believe the epic reveal of Luke's parentage. That started it. At 8 my grandmother gifted me the box set of the original trilogy, remastered but not yet remade (Han still shot first, damnit), and those tapes were switched out of our VCR in a constant rotation for years. I remember seeing The Phantom Menace in theaters. I introduced my baby brother to Attack of the Clones when he was 2 years old and started his obsession even earlier than my own... poor bastard. I saw Revenge of the Sith in theaters 3 times, and as an angry teenager who struggled with my own problems and finding my true self, I identified with Anakin far closely than my mother would have liked. Hell, I even wrote a college paper on tragic heroes in literature through modern media with him as the star. And I got an A. It sounds silly. A cultural phenomenon started in the 70s has kept me enthralled in its content for the vast majority of my life. Wow. So damn dorky. But it's true. And I'm not the only one. Star Wars has been a staple throughout many peoples lives, and although Disney has certainly sent a couple torpedoes through it all in recent years... Andor has pulled it from the fire and set it back on the podium. Surprisingly good. Good writing, Good acting and Good execution. I was pleasantly surprised with this show. it might still be pg-13 and have some jank but overall it's a very decent watch and feels way more mature and grounded than other Disney SW slop.

Andor is the best Star Wars I’ve watched in years. The acting is great—Diego Luna as Cassian Andor and the whole cast make every scene feel real. The dialogue is sharp and smart, with political vibes about fighting oppression that hit home. It shows the rebellion’s struggle against the Empire in a gritty, human way. However, cutting the show from five seasons to two left fans wanting more. No wonder so many of us rewatched Rogue One right after to stay with these awesome characters a bit longer. Star Wars for adults. Star Wars can be fun, but war is not. This series shows us the nitty gritty side of fighting a war. Even the good guys have to do bad things in order to defeat evil. Loved this series! Possibly even more so than the original trilogy. Makes up for the awful sequel trilogy. More of this kind of Star Wars please, Disney.

Honestly one of the more thought provoking Star Wars Series in a crowd of whoosh whoosh lightsabers. Essentially this time around was more Andor focused as opposed to their first season which built a world beyond the Skywalker clan. Many people tell me that this is a slow burn and frankly that is always the excuse for people who don't want to admit something is boring. However this series will stand as a testament to storytelling. from the rich characters to storylines that don't quite end, but live on beyond imagination. While the main cast is going into the Rogue One movie from 10 years ago, the story built only serves to bolster to story beyond the trilogy.

Masterpiece. One of the best piece of cinematography showing how totalitarian government is reducing freedom from citizens. Closing them in thought prisons, manipulating information and steering public opinion. Andor put Wars in Star Wars first time in almost 50 years.

A total Masterpiece. I watched the first 3 episodes of Season 2 and was really worried. I was not a fan of them and felt like too much time had passed between releasing season 1 and releasing season 2. Like all the momentum was take out of it. I am glad I stayed. Once Eps 7-9 dropped it was incredible. An adult story with many sided characters. Good people doing bad things. No punches held with it came to violence. (Violence used to move the story forward and add weight to the story). I will say it again! This is a masterpiece.

There is no way this is a 9-10 TV show (the ratings must be done by bots, as the audience ratings must be too). Nobody would rate this series/season as a 10 except a bot. It has way too many flaws. Characters are confusing. Multiple storylines are confusing and disorienting. Progression is very slow, i.e. it plods along so slowly. Our interest wanes the more we watched. There are characters and storylines we just don't care about; they're neither pleasant or diabolical. We don't care about deviant society that doesn't further the plot, e.g. we don't care if a young girl is introduced to a 14 year old boy. Are they going to be central characters somewhere? We're tired of seeing same-sex relationships as pure and normal relationships while normal relationships are disturbing. The perspectives of Disney are perverted. The sets are nice but the treatment of the human condition is too often irrational and unbalanced. The more we watched the series the worse it got (we gave it a 5 to start and now we're down to a 4). We kept watching and the storyline became less disjointed, so it's back to a 5. The last few episodes were better so we upped our score to a 6 (it is Star Wars after all). All in all, we'd say: "skim the first six, or so, episodes (episode 3 may be worth watching) and the last five should be condensed to two or three episodes (episodes 10 and 12 are worth watching). Then, maybe, watch Rogue One again."

Masterpiece. These whole 2 seasons and rogue one would be the best Star Wars one can have. It’s a blessing for our generation to witness this kind of show.

This is a 9 out of 10, but it accomplished setting up the original movies so well that I am adding +1 fanboy point. While Season 1 was episodic, Season 2 chooses to have a large intricate plots full of morally grey complex situations between two warring parties, and it is splendidly written. Also there is an unnamed cameo who is a huge character in Star Wars and I love how Andor didn't even make it clear who this was, but the smart will know. The series is over now, so don't worry about seasons 3,4, and 10 adding spinoff episodes for characters they want to make a show about later, or a slow meandering plot where you feel it could have been condensed. Everything has reason and purpose in this show, and no time is wasted. A masterpiece.
