12 Monkeys (2015)

With the recent Ebola scare, the show’s premise is timely. Plus, it’s a trippy, roller coaster ride as we learn, along with Cole and Cassandra, who is responsible for killing 7 billion people.

It's different enough from the original that you may be better off looking at it fresh, as a promising and more straightforward (okay, relatively straightforward) sci-fi adventure series with the requisite shadow conspiracy and, for those in the past, a looming Armageddon.

k. “Sesame Street” episode. This can seem frustrating if you care, but the TV show does it all with a sense of bravado that allows you to overlook any internal logic issues.

12 Monkeys hums along at a reasonable pace; its pilot is pleasingly energetic and efficient.... The problem is, 12 Monkeys tends to prioritize a series of MacGuffins over attempts to deepen its characters and their relationships.

12 Monkeys won't hook those who aren't already fans of the genre. The characters are mostly two-dimensional. The philosophical conundrums are secondary to the action. The dialogue is terribly earnest.

None of the performers can do much to enliven a show that, judging from the two episodes sent to critics, is comprised mainly of padding.

The series is a powerfully stupidity-ridden vision of poorly done science fiction, an inexcusably generic take on the movie.

12 monkeys é a melhor adaptação de filme que eu já assistir até o momento, a série soube desenvolver todos os seus personagens, além de nos apresentar protagonistas de peso sem palavras!!.

Season 1 was good. Season 2 was better. Season 3 was ok. Season 4 and the ending was the best. Ignore the stupid critics. Stick through to the end and you will be happy you did.

What a strange and wonderful film that really gets opens up and becomes deeper as it moves on. Overall great performances and has Director Terry Gilliam's unique style of shooting.

Time travel plot is interesting, but the acting is so bad, it's unenjoyable.

It starts promising. A nice twist from the movie for sure, but overall great. The first season are promising and great. Logical build up. Then, in around in late season 2 when you expect a ending it does the opposite, more illogical twists and hasten written plot points reveals. 12 monkeys is a prime example of a series that start nice and suddenly it has achieved a popular status, that they need more material then whats given from the start. Things start to go to **** Other similar series that does this are Suits, Prison Break, Lost, White Collar, etc. They simply not have the ending planned from the start and it goes from quality to cash cow instantaneous. I watched the entire show until it was, as not unexpectedly canceled (mainly because my SO felt invested) Where the show ended was just horrible, and a betrayal to every fan watching it.
