An all-around bad movie that further gets lost pushing a weird anti-white agenda. I counted three separate instances where white people were directly insulted for their race, and a bunch of other moments that bring up "white people" in a way that adds nothing to the story.

I was surprisingly engaged with this film. The opening is excellent and really sets the spooky and humorous tone. The production value is excellent, the VFX are really convincing. The main characters are what carries the film. They are so well acted and so well written that you don’t doubt their actions for a moment. The two main teenagers are charming and deep. Ernest the ghost is especially enigmatic and considering he doesn’t speak this is very impressive and a testament to the fantastic acting and stellar directing. But not everything is great. The rest of the cast are not as memorable. The pacing is uneven, there are some sections that just go on too long with not much happening. It’s not the most memorable or iconic film overall, there are flashes of unforgettable but most only good. And that’s about it for the negative. So overall it is very enjoyable and worth watching.

Quite enjoyable take on a ghost movie. Not at all what I expected, and quite funny and poignant in equal measure. Strong performances throughout.

As others have pointed out the movie is extremely racist and bigoted. If you replaced every attack on Whites with Blacks and every slam of a non-democrat/non-leftist with a democrat/leftist this film wouldn't have ever been made. It was less about telling a story and more about just insulting anyone not part of the democrat, lelftist, Hollywood hive mind. Sad but very true.

This movie crosses the line. Its white shaming **** and if it was the other way around it would have been cancelled instantly. I can't believe people let this slide. Seems that all this cancel culture is a one-way thing. Into the trash it goes.

The movie is mostly fun. No deep psychological moments but nice to see Dad and son overcome their rough spots. Brother and Mom aren't of much use. Has it's usual modern bigoted structure. We rate it "Didn't turn it off but wouldn't watch it a second time."

This is all over the map. Its kind of presented as a family comedy but the action scenes, deaths, and sudden darker scenes don't go with the vibe at all. Also Tig Notaro turned good why???? Very stupid from start to finish. I also don't think David Harbour could of made it as a silent film star.

A good surprise! While I don't see this film becoming a cult classic, because it is nothing new, it's still a rather solid "friendly ghost" story. The beginning of the story takes a few shortcuts, but I enjoyed learning more about "Ernest" and how the characters interacted with him. Frankly, I had more fun with this film that I initially expected.

Horribly racist!, if the word black was was exchanged for the word white in some of the god awful writing , this movie and all its staff would be deleted from the internet.

This movie is trying to be funny by following the trend of being racist against white people ( oh wait you can't be racist against white people). Outside of that it's showing bad parenting, mom and dad both oblivious to they're youngest son who idolises a WHITE guitar player and is being mocked because of that, oldest son clearly the favourite call all white girls he swipes by on his phone ugly) disgusting and dad clearly promotes this behaviour. Mom is in her own word only thinking of mom. I'm the opening 15 minutes there some obviously agenda pushing and race baiting. Only redeeming qualities of this movie are the youngest son, who clearly is talented and has a goor singing voice, the (white) ghost of Ernest and the other side characters steering wheel his movie. What was even more cringe what's the part of YouTubers and TikTok users showing what is obviously wrong the world and why both should disappear. In conclusion this movie is just bad, and that's ashame it had good ideas that where horribly executit to please the woke and current audience.

This movie was fantastic! It was funny, heartwarming, thought-provoking, and had a lovely cast that made for a thoroughly entertaining movie experience! Jennifer Coolidge in the role of a medium adds an extra funny scene that gives the ghost a bit of edginess that is previously unseen. There are a lot of unexpected moments that make it a combination of genres and themes that somehow work together perfectly to create a comedy title that pulls on several tropes that are known to terrify, but I think that's what makes it such an effective delivery. Not a spoof so much, but definitely had similar feelings as the 90s "Casper," with Devon Sawa and Christina Ricci.I loved this! Five ️

When a family moves into a grand old house, they soon discover their attic "harbors" the titular phantom (David Harbour). This is billed as a comedy, but there are few humorous moments. There also isn't any suspense as the plot delves the ghost's past. The writing is predictable and the performances are mild (even Jennifer Coolidge in a red wig isn't at her best). While it's paced effectively and there's sufficient energy to keep interest, nothing stands out. It feels like a mediocre Disney family adventure.

Am I being told that David Harbour was hired to appear as a ghost with that ridiculous hairstyle and not even utter a single line of dialogue? Easiest paycheck of his life. What's really disappointing about We Have a Ghost is that it never seems to know what it wants to be. From how cheesy it comes off at times to how utterly stupid its humor feels - that montage of social media reactions was beyond ridiculous - to how irrelevant the part involving Tig Notaro and the CIA ends up being and how its climax feels more like something pulled out of the hat to create some conflict than anything else. That's what knocks it down so much. That it wants to cover so much that it just piles things on top of each other without knowing what to do with them. This is complete junk meant to get lost in the streaming abyss.
