I fully embraced this film and it left me impressed. I was captivated by the vibe and the visuals. On some level, this felt like the film was avoiding another origin story, and tried to reestablish the characters as efficiently as possible in the first 10 minutes. But honestly, the first 10 minutes was really entertaining, and avoided the "show, don't tell" troubles of **** character felt more authentic and more super-heroic than any of the other movies in the past. Perhaps the world around felt foreign, like this was another planet. For sure, this is not the planet Earth I'm from, but the movie made me feel like i would love to live there.

Times are tough for franchise films these days. But it's a decent film. Perhaps an underwhelming last act, but decent. My honest opinion is that Afterlife was an appreciated epilogue, but ultimately Frozen Empire feels very unnecessary. The movie gets a couple of positive points for timid attempts at expanding the lore a little bit. Perhaps it could have punched just a little harder, but for what it is, really it's fine, and you might enjoy most of it.

Interesting! I enjoyed the other two movies, but i enjoyed the second one a little less when i saw it, because i already knew the story. And this time around, I indeed knew nothing about it, i hadn't even seen the trailer. Apart from it being an Hercule Poirot story of course. And so, this was quite interesting! This doesn't start the same way, this starts like a horror story waiting to be debunked or explained. And then of course, the story adds more layers and more mystery. Great characters here, great acting, all done very seriously and very well. The pacing was rather good here too. I absolutely recommend it if you like serious murder stories.

I was really curious about this film. Now here is the best thing : the dogs, they are all very lovable, and i applaud the choice to use real dogs as much as they did. Beyond that, the movie is not completely terrible, but it's difficult to recommend as well. A lot of crude jokes, sure, perhaps too many, since a lot of them didn't really land. In the end, the result is a bit forgettable. But if you are curious about this film : go for it, it can still be fun.

Actually pretty good! I went into the movie theater half relunctantly, because a friend wanted to go see it, yet car movies are not my thing! But the film did a fine job at making me care about its story, and all the main actors really work well in their characters.

I went in with low expectations, but some curiosity. And for good measure, I had rewatched Temple of Doom and Crystal Skull - my two least favourite Indy movies - before seeing this new movie. And this was a pleasant surprise! Very pleasant even! Maybe the first quarter of the film, I wasn't too convinced yet, but I opened my heart, and I did love the film! Absolutely better than the fourth one, for sure. Now, was this movie needed? That's a tricky question. If Indiana Jones 4 didn't exist, then no, this new one would feel unnecessary. But in the real world, this Indiana Jones 5 offers a rather entertaining epilogue. And now, I almost feel bad that the film apparently couldn't find an audience. If you were a fan of Indiana Jones, but were disappointed by Indiana 4. do give this new movie a chance, this might just bring you the closure that you didn't know you needed.

A strange film, but interesting and funny! And this felt incredibly refreshing, after my strong diet of superhero films. I was pleasantly entertained for the whole thing! I was never really sure where this was going to go. This is mainly an entertaining story about an isolated town in the desert, which is set near an asteroid crater. But it's also about a family that is temporarily stranded there. In the film, you will see a lot of unique characters. And all the characters are interesting in their own ways. But there is also an upper layer in the movie. Because the inner core of the movie is actually supposed to be a play. And sometimes, the movie switches to "the theatre world" so to speak, and you see the actors working on the play. This isn't a documentary, it's just some kind of mise-en-abime I suppose. I found that concept really interesting, but I am not sure if that worked properly, and ultimately i was more interested in the inner story itself. But there is at least one intriguing payoff for this concept later in the film.

Ok, this DC movie offered some fun! Better than I expected. Basically, this film is essentially a time-travel adventure. Easily accessible, no need to have expert knowledge on the movies that came before. What I liked the best is how they manage to creatively explain the origins of how Flash without it be simply an origins movie. Ultimately, some of the movie ends up being forgettable and the ending is a bit underwhelming.

A decent story with some heart, about a lovable yet clueless and barely functional mute and homeless man who somehow gets caught by the gears of the Hollywood machine. Ray Liotta was great in this, although he is in the first half of the film really. I was also pleasantly surprised by the character of Ken Jeong, who turned out to be a big part of the story. But ultimately, something in the film does not quite work correctly.

Pretty solid! A fine send off for this trilogy. And it gives us some background on the origins of Rocket, which was surprisingly very emotional. If you love animals, prepare for some emotion. All the characters are still loveable, and I was delighted to know more about the High Evolutionary. I also enjoyed the new angle with Gamora. In fact, I think I liked this movie more than vol 2. However, since critical plot points happened outside of the Guardians trilogy (see Infinity War and End Game), the movie has the characters explain to us several times what exactly the deal with Gamora is and it can feel a bit clunky. But that really is the MCU's design which is at fault here. A couple of jokes felt flat, for a few chuckles. A line or two felt cringy. But really I'm being a bit picky. Let me be clear : it was a joy to see these characters again, and I couldn't ask for a better end for the Guardians Saga.

This film was quite the surprise. Fascinating story, I really enjoyed this. It's hard to give a review without spoiling too much of it. Is it a horror film? Is it a critic on society? Well it's about fancy cuisine, and gastronomic restaurants. But it's also quite a twisted film, and really insane. It's a bit of a slow burn at first, but you quickly feel that something is wrong, and the tension rise more and more. And then it's clear : people will die in this restaurant. But you want to understand why.

Pretty good fun! This movie almost came out of nowhere, and it's exactly what i was hoping it to be : a bit of horror comedy, gory and a bit goofy at times, with some heart. The first half of the film felt fresh and it got me hooked. The second half turns more into a modern action/comedy film, but that was fine. Overall, it's very much a great addition to the Dracula stories. I especially liked Dracula himself, because even though this film was a somewhat fresh take on the story, Dracula himself stayed very faithful to the character.

I already knew the story behind the origins of the Tetris game, and I enjoyed this film. The beginning starts with some narration, but it's not too bad, and don't worry, it gets better rather quickly. While this stays, at its core, a story about licensing agreements in the Soviet Union, the movie tells its tale in a very effective and entertaining manner.

It's difficult to give a fair score. I liked it, a decent story, and the characters are still fun. I can still appreciate that these characters are rooted in magic. It felt like we were learning more about the inner lore of the Shazam magic, but in the end we didn't learn that much. It'a decent sequel to Shazam 1.

A lot of harsh reviews. I will try to be fair. The film isn't a 0, but it's not a 10 either. I think it's a fair 6. I am a big fan of Ant-Man, and I like most of the MCU content generally. This here is a decent MCU film, a great new expansion of Ant-Man lore, and the introduction (or re-introduction) of an exciting new character. That being said, I found some parts of the story to be more difficult to digest. Janet works hard to justify herself in how she never bothered to tell everyone about "The Conqueror". And the Conqueror himself sure explains a lot about his multiversal conflict. This is of course the MCU talking to us, the audience, through this film. But i find this sort of thing more and more obvious, and it makes the film feel less like an Ant-Man film, and more about a "what you need to know about" film. It's like the movie is retconning itself sometimes. This is nothing new for recent MCU content, they do that more and more. But for an Ant-Man film, it's a bit disappointing. The movie is also set 95% in the Quantum Realm, where almost everything is CGI. To me it looked great, but I won't argue against someone with the opposite opinion. CGI landscapes can feel grand, just like they can feel empty. They can look fake, or beautiful. Sometimes it's both. I am also a fan of Modok, generally speaking. I liked seeing this version of him in the film, and I enjoyed the explanation behind it. But I feel like it's a bit of a waste. The movie would be the same without him, basically. I felt a bit confused at the end of the film however. Perhaps i was a bit tired, but near the end I felt like i had missed a scene and suddenly it was ending. I don't want to give too many spoilers, so I cannot say too much.

A good surprise! While I don't see this film becoming a cult classic, because it is nothing new, it's still a rather solid "friendly ghost" story. The beginning of the story takes a few shortcuts, but I enjoyed learning more about "Ernest" and how the characters interacted with him. Frankly, I had more fun with this film that I initially expected.

I watched this in the theaters in 1993. I was 7 years old. The thing about me is that I knew nothing about Mario, and I had never played the games at the time. I actually got a game boy a few years later. Anyway, considering all that, I actually liked this movie a lot at the time. I thought it was a great Sci-Fi Dino-Punk adventure. I enjoyed the concept of this alternate dino-universe, and I enjoyed the characters. I also loved the crazy design of the city of Dino-Hattan, and the ambiance was like nothing I had every seen in any other movie (well, at 7 years old, I didn't know about Blade Runner). Nowadays, I have played all of the main Mario games, but I still have a lot of nostalgia for this film. But I can see more faults now. In retrospect, sure, it's not faithful to the lore because it went in a weird direction. Some of the major plot points are not very solid. And considering how the movie was made, it's actually amazing how watcheable and decent the final product is. Perhaps its weakest trait is that it's linked to the Mario franchise. On its own, without the Mario name, this movie might have fared better based on its Dino-Punk novelty alone. But of course, Jurassic Park would have destroyed it a year later.

I am not usually a fan of the Christmas Carol, because I find this tale a bit too old fashioned. But this felt fresh! I really enjoyed this. This was a good time. This is definitely a Christmas movie, and it's a good one. I am really recommending this, but I don't know if a lot of people have apple+. Perhaps that's a shame, because this film deserves an audience. I had doubts about the musical angle at first, and in the beginning it started to feel like padding, but I really got into the ambiance and the style after the first 15 minutes. And there are that many songs, they never feel out of place. While there are a couple of scenes that looked a bit green screen-ish, this film has a good production, good songs, and great dance scenes, and the story is a really good twist on the Christmas carol.

We had a fun time watching this one. It is definitely a sequel to Ragnarok. I liked seeing Jane again. But the relationship between Thor and Jane feels a bit forced still, however. I don't really believe there's love here, but it's very much on par with Thor 1 and Thor 2 and I give it a pass, because I enjoyed seeing her again. A couple of jokes felt flat, and that's a shame. The movie sometimes feels like it's trying too hard, sometimes even not being serious enough during important scenes. But all in all, I liked this. They do ditch the guardians rather quickly. Based on the trailer, I had imagined they would play a bigger part. But in the end, this might be for the best. The butcher has a great design, and Christian Bale is great in this. But perhaps the god butcher does not really do a whole lot of god butchering after all. Perhaps a lot of wasted potential right there.
