This is the most overrated movie in modern history. Joker's makeup and hair look sloppy and dirty while his clothes are overly matched in style and colors as if he had a personal tailor. This doesn't add up. That he alone with his henchmen and the mafia can paralyze the entire megacity is also completely absurd and not credible. It would actually require a network larger than Al-Qaeda at its peak, closer to a fully mobilized force like ISIS. It would require years of preparation and billions of dollars to succeed. The overall atmosphere and tone of the film is reminiscent of a crime/drama film and not a superhero film, especially not Batman which is known for its dark, raw atmosphere. These are just a few things that come to mind right now.

How this movie recieves so much praise is extremely sad. It's seems to be the product of a horror film and DC coming together. Not even close to being on the same level as Batman Begins, disgusting and shocking. This is a sick film that I truely believe torments the viewers mind with hopeless entrapments which constantly end in failure and sorrow, it is indeed dark...

A true superhero spectacle. One of the best villain performances of all time. Watch this film JUST for The Joker. That's it. He carries the film and takes you on a journey that is both engaging and VERY fun.

Psychopaths had long been popularized, but they usually felt distant—chilling and unpleasant, but definitely not "everyday" beings.260312 (5.0)I watched this in the theater back in 2008, and I was absolutely stunned by a version of pure evil that felt almost playful—like someone you could just pass by on the street. It wasn't the typical, calculated cinematic psychopath; it was a spontaneous, mischievous kind of malice that felt terrifyingly grounded. What made it a perfect 5.0 for me was that Batman didn't back down for a second—he stood his ground against that chaos with equal intensity. The balance between that unpredictable villain and a hero who could actually keep up created a cinematic synergy that defined the year for me. It remains a masterpiece that captured a very specific, haunting energy.

If there is one word to describe the Dark Knight it probably is - a Masterpiece .

One of the most iconic well-coordinated films I have ever seen. The grounded realistic plot combined with the award winning score makes for an intense, epic experience. Only contributing to enthrall, the opening scene catches attention and provokes adrenaline in one of the best ways known. The acting is better than anything I’ve seen before, summed up this is a cinematic classic.

The Dark Knight is easily one of the best sequels ever, if not the best. Dark Knight does a perfect job with showing the evolution of Bruce Wayne as himself and Batman. It also the best version of the joker we've had to date, and the best we will ever have. No one can beat it!

Nolan treats Gotham like a real city drowning in crime and panic, and that grounded tone gives the story a surprising amount of weight. The film moves with this constant sense of pressure; every time Batman thinks he’s getting ahead, the Joker shifts the rules again.Heath Ledger is obviously the highlight. It’s not just the voice or the makeup — it’s the way he carries chaos into every scene. You genuinely never know what he’s going to do, which makes even the quieter moments feel tense. Bale is strong too, especially in scenes where Bruce is clearly torn between being Gotham’s protector and dealing with the consequences of his own methods.Harvey Dent’s storyline adds a lot of emotional depth. His rise and fall show what Gotham could have been versus what it becomes, and the film uses him well to hit the theme of “you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” The pacing does get messy in places and the movie feels slightly overloaded near the end, but the emotional beats land.Overall, it’s a gripping, well-acted crime thriller that goes far beyond typical superhero storytelling and still holds up incredibly well.

Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight is one of the most fantastic and the most extraordinary comic book movie of all time. It is well deserve to be in the DC movie Hall of fame. This is all thanks to Heath Ledger's Joker which is an outstanding performance.

The film has excellent cinematography and action sequences, though at times the plot becomes overly complex and the pacing drags in certain scenes. While the movie shines with its dark tone and moral dilemmas, some character arcs feel underdeveloped. Overall, it's a strong entry in Nolan's Batman trilogy that revolutionized the superhero genre, even with its few shortcomings.

I think the Dark Knight is not a bad movie, but it's also not a good movie,The film delves into difficult and different events in each direction, but in the end the film did not give all the solutions or answers, clear or even unclear ...But far from anything, the film was very good productively, good directionally and great acting

If you look past the super heroes, this is also an excellent crime film. The opening bank robbery scene is engrossing and Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker rivals Hannibal Lector. His musical cue is an unnerving harbinger, and I never knew what to expect next.

The film is a masterpiece in terms of the setting taken care of in the smallest details, a plot that is never banal throughout its entire development with an atmosphere always of suspense and action with great effectiveness, the interpretation of the characters exceptional (the interpretation of Joker is spectacular). I positively adored this one in the theater, and over the years I've discovered even more ways to appreciate it. The Dark Knight is the perfect Batman film; dark and gritty and tragic but ultimately optimistic and meaningful, with an armful of colorful characters tossed in for seasoning. Of course, it's impossible to discuss the film without first touching on Heath Ledger, whose magnificent turn as The Joker unconscionably steals the show from his very first appearance. Magical moments, memories and faces routinely come and go on the silver screen, but a role this iconic only comes around once or twice a generation, and the magnitude of his appearance has only amplified over the years. Ledger deserves every bit of the credit he reaped for this part, even if his untimely demise may have heightened the hype to superhuman levels. The things his character gets to do, say, and imply are downright remarkable, and really elevate this from a strong superhero movie into a brilliant social commentary that just so happens to revolve around a man with a cape, cowl and vast personal armory. As in Batman Begins, the supporting cast is heavily peppered with brilliant performances from Hollywood's heavy-hitters, with particularly excellent showings from Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Aaron Eckhart. And, naturally, Christian Bale is once again masterful in the dual roles of Bruce Wayne and Batman. A great action movie, detective story, political thriller, superhero flick and moral tragedy, which never feels half as long as its 152 minute run time lets on and sticks the landing in every single important scene. One for the ages.

The Dark Knight is a massive action movie. Nolan took everything great from Batman Begins and added some amazing new elements to it. The story is quite simple, it's basically Batman trying to fight crime. In contrast to this, the characters are all brilliant. Bruce had a smaller arc than what he had in the previous film, but it was still great. My favourite supporting roles are Jim Gordon, Alfred and Lucius Fox. The new villain, Joker is at least as good of an antagonist as Ra's Al Ghul was in Batman Begins. The only character I didn' fully understand was Harvey Dent by the end. This time, I didn't find anything weird in the editing, cinematography still outstanding. The casting is still on point, they didn't have to cast a bunch of new actors, but Heath Ledger was a perfect choice. He is outstanding in this movie, just absolutely perfect. The Dark Knight is one of the best action movies out there with an unbelievable cast.

This movie is a masterpiece. I analyzed it and I thinks that there is not a single bad actor or actress performance.

Very overrated. Decent performances acting wise. The joker is really well acted, but very poorly written. The scale of the movie hurts the characters immensely. This kind of dark portrayal of the Joker does not combine well with him having access to limitless henchmen + resources. It undermines the character a lot. with the Joker not only having plot armour, but plot resources, and plot charisma as well, while supposedly being an "outsider". Its frustrating because it could have been great. This kind of Joker would work in more small scale stories, with him tormenting Harvey dent or Commissioner Gordon. Making him a niche figure, that only Criminals and Batman & co know about, rather than a global public terrorist. The Joker in the movie, would not have leverage on anyone. because he is publicly known, and publicly crazy. None would work with him, citizens would want him dead, and because of his terrorist attacks, the FBI + the Criminal underworld would hunt him down. Hardly someone Batman needs to go after. To me this is too much of a disconnect. I can suspend my disbelief, but not when it destroys the characters. It destroys the setting for me too.

NO SPOILERS It was a very good movie. Dark Knight goes boom boom to The Joker. Fun fact, Heath Ledger (the actor of The Joker) went psycho in real life for the role in the movie and then killed himself by suicide. It was a very good movie. Christian Bale is the real sigma.

Probably my favorite piece of post 9/11 cinema. I don't think that current comic book movies will hold up this well.
