This Movie has the Best 007 Intro credits in any movie period, it's legendary, I would give it a 9, but the way that it ends is just so...Unsatisfying. 8/10, Solid Film.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Skyfall" (2012) is one of the best James Bond movies ever made. For me, it ranks together with "Casino Royale" (2006 version of course) as the best James Bond entries. After the messy but still somewhat enjoyable "Quantum of Solace" they really packed the punch with "Skyfall". In front and behind the camera were masters of their craft. Cinematography by the legendary Roger Deakins was amazing. Screenplay by heavyweighters John Logan and Neal Purvis is more straightforward and accessible this time around with some funny and clever writing through the whole film. Directing by Oscar winner Sam Mendes was very good - this is a highly controlled and constructed film that grabs ones attention from the get go and never let go. The Bond villain portrayed by Javier Bardem is one of the more believable, memorable and creepy ones in long and colorful history of Bond villains. And then there is the incredible music with cherry at the top Adele's "Skyfall" which rightly won Oscar as the best soundtrack of the year and it is easily ranks as the best James Bond opening songs as of 2026 - it will be hard to top it for years to come.Overall, "Skyfall" while having intriguing story but full of plot holes, still is one of the few best Bond films ever made. As of 2026, it is easily one of my favorite ones. Great film.

Skyfall is one of the more polished Bond films, and you can feel that from the very beginning. Visually it looks incredible, with some really memorable shots and a darker tone that gives the whole movie a bit more weight than usual. It’s not just about action this time — there’s a stronger focus on character and identity, which I **** pacing is mostly solid, though it does slow down in a few places. Still, it never gets boring. The action scenes are well done without feeling over-the-top, and the tension holds up even during quieter moments. Daniel Craig feels fully settled into the role here, more confident and controlled compared to earlier entries.What stood out to me is how the film balances classic Bond elements with a more grounded approach. It still has the style, the gadgets, and the big set pieces, but it also tries to explore something a bit deeper without losing that entertainment factor.Overall, Skyfall is a strong entry in the series. Not perfect, but definitely enjoyable and memorable. A solid 7/10 for me.

Bond plays cat-and-mouse with a rogue element who wants to kill someone close to him. A satisfying actioner that contributes to the backstory of his character.

This is definitely one of the best James Bond movies ever made with relatively fleshed-out characters, a great story, a great villain and you can really feel Daniel Craig stepping into the role as James Bond in this movie compared to his previous ones

A solid return to form for the franchise after a bit of instability in Quantum of Solace. Daniel Craig is still growing into his leading role, but he's begun mixing little quirks and kinks into his performance that, taken together, make a big difference. The action sets, also, seem to be past their growing pains, striking a nice balance between the stark, modern realism of the two preceding pictures and the characteristic over-the-top absurdity of past chapters. Like its immediate predecessors, Skyfall struggles with pacing issues, dilly-dallying for most of the first act, but once Javier Bardem finally surfaces around the sixty-minute mark, it gets to the point and presses pedal to metal the rest of the way. It's interesting that, while in previous films the villains have been momentary flashes of color meant to shine a brighter light on the hero, Bardem's role in Skyfall often threatens to eclipse Bond himself. He's a brilliant, charismatic, damaged bit of anarchy that's reminiscent of, if not quite as eccentric as, Heath Ledger's turn as The Joker, and Bardem is magnificently unnerving in the role. With a spirited new foil, the return of a few familiar monikers to the series and a dramatic, meaningful finale that's sure to reverberate through subsequent installments, I think it's safe to say James Bond is finally, firmly, back in the saddle.

Skyfall is the twenty-third entry into the Bond franchise. While it is a significant step up from the rather mundane previous entry – Quantum of Solace – it still fails to reach the heights of Casino Royale. It’s got excellent action, great music, and decent acting (as long as your name isn’t Danial Craig). The story stumbles in the convenience and contrivance departments as well as some questionable motivations by Bond, but never truly falls and most it is saved by the spectacular third act. Definitely enough here for new and old fans alike

“Skyfall” is a plot-driven espionage film that is, in most regards, a solid chapter in the 007 franchise. Despite being a continuation in the Daniel Craig arch of the Bond movies, it resembles more of a soft reboot than another sequel which allowed for a more fresh experience after the events of “Quantum of Solace”. Though there are issues involving Craig’s depiction of the iconic MI6 agent that can easily sully the character for long-running fans of the series, the theme of this entry does a decent enough job of concealing it behind a mask of plausibility: more on that later. Character-work otherwise is decent, and with the boost of an exceptional soundtrack and third act, the experience lands reasonably well.Concerning the plot, the story starts off at a full sprint as Bond and fellow agent Eve are pursuing an enemy target with little success; a stalemate which concludes with their boss “M” ordering Eve to take a sniper shot that inadvertently knocks Bond out of the scenario. After meandering in downtime for several months (prompted on by a bitterness that his performance was called into question) Bond returns to MI6 and “M” after the MI6 headquarters was hacked internally and bombed from an unknown adversary. In order to get Bond back into the field and on the trail of their assailant, “M” fakes Bond’s exam results which themselves call into question if he still has his edge; a reoccurring theme of movie. Upon tracking down the tech-savvy ringleader, Raoul Silva, it is revealed that Silva was a predecessor of Bond’s who had survived the ingestion of a cyanide pill after having fallen into captivity. Spurred on by a deep-seated drive for revenge, Silva’s plans escalate against “M” which in turn leads Bond to lean into old-school spy-craft to keep her one step ahead as he in turn is forced to face the lingering shadow of his past. The smaller stakes (as opposed to the threats of war and orbital death-lasers seen in previous iterations) are refreshing in light of the overarching “old vs. new” theme present throughout the story. Though Bond is the recipient of several “relic of the past” jabs, he is allotted the opportunity to prove his critics wrong on several occasions, which were excellent high points to an otherwise dour series of events. Also of note is that the pacing is on point for a 143 minute runtime with little noticeable drag; thanks largely in part to the latter portion and climax of the film. Concerning the characters, Daniel Craig’s third outing as the legendary agent James Bond was fairly well executed for the given scenario, with the primary caveat being his down-and-out attitude. While it plays decently in the face of the “espionage is dated” message prompted by several other perspectives, it does call to question the sincerity of Bond’s loyalty if a single misplaced bullet could derail his willingness to serve his country. Judy Dench’s “M” on the other hand was tonally consistent with her past portrayals (always being firm, yet tender with Bond) and remained a positive draw in her final performance as the boss of MI6. Javier Bardem’s “Silva” was a strange addition to the long line of Bond villains, as he came off as more of a watered-down version of GoldenEye’s “Alec Trevelyan” with awkward mannerisms than the intimidating counterpart of Bond that the story necessitated. Lastly, Ben Whishaw’s stab at the beloved role of “Q” felt hit or miss, while Albert Finney’s “Kincade” and Naomie Harris’ “Eve” were more grounded and respectable by comparison. As mentioned previously, the soundtrack for this Bond outing was inspiring, with the traditional music video at the title sequence being among the best in the series. And as expected of the genre, the action scenes didn’t disappoint and delivered much needed adrenaline to Craig’s presentation. In conclusion, while “Skyfall” suffered from minor inconsistencies off and on, the movie as a whole was satisfying. If taken as a standalone spy film outside of the 007 universe, it succeeds in creating a dynamic story that emboldens the old adage that “sometimes the most tried and true methods are the best”. And while Craig has had his share of criticism for his take on the role, this particular entry of his is certainly worthy of a watch.

Sadly doesn't good as Casino Royale - Decent, watchable, bearable... these words was floating in my mind while watching to the end.

After a lot of thought, I believe THIS is the best movie of the 2010s. It should be held up highly to other films like Pulp Fiction, as it is a movie that was able to create something so monumental from a genre that had seemed to be completely rinsed of ideas. If any spy movie from the past century is revered in the coming decades, this movie should be it. Quite the anomaly considering the time it came out was all about sell-out movies like Pacific Rim and even its prequel, Quantum of Solace (which is definitely a dud), but the tone of the movie was able to encapsulate an intense mood so foreign to Western media that watching it is definitely like breathing in fresh, musky, rainy English air after seeing it's sequels (which, like Quantum of Solace, miss the mark). The stand-out roles aren't even Daniel Craig (although he is great), but the supporting cast like Judi Dench, Javier Bardem and Ben Wishaw that make the movie so alive and gripping. 10/10 Can't see James Bond ever returning to such a high-point, when every good thing a future 007 film could do was done here.

Due to MGM's financial troubles, the public had to endure a lengthy four-year wait for the release of the subsequent 007 movie, but the wait was more than worthwhile when SKYFALL eventually arrived. It's clear that the production team put a lot of time and effort into creating what might be the best Bond film in a long time. What I witnessed wasn't simply a movie; it was an experience.

One of the best action movies ever made in my opinion. It's definitely one of the best Bond films. The characters are really well fleshed out, the action is practical and really well shot, as is the entire film (Roger Deakins my goodness), and a riveting story about Bond getting old and still trying to make a living as an agent in the field. I think Skyfall is peak sexy and badass Daniel Craig and my god he is glorious as Bond in this film. Judi Dench's M, Ben Whishaw's Q, Naomie Harris' Moneypenny, Ralph Fiennes' Malory, and the absolute standout Javier Bardem as the deliriously depraved Silva are all interesting when they are on screen. This is a shoutout to a brilliant script by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, John Logan who penned a masterful character study for all of these characters all interwoven into the central plot. The opening Istanbul setpiece is one of the best openings in an action film you can really ask for. The Tennyson sequence is cinematic masterpiece and Thomas Newman's score in this sequence in particular is nothing short of exemplary. The plot about Bond getting old, him really not wanting to admit it but still being such a raw, manly MI6 agent is really what makes this Bond so attractive. No matter how many times I watch it, Skyfall is just simply spectacular.

What a perfect movie to celibate the 50th anniversary of James Bond 007 as it is easily one of the best Bond movies, has a great plot, characters, and villain, and is easily Daniel Craig's best performance as 007.

Skyfall is all the good elements of James Bond but with steroids. It really feels like one of the biggest Blockbusters ever made. Daniel Craig and Judi Dench are the best of the film. All this is the result of have one of the greatest filmmaker in the last years, Sam Mendes created a incredible film to watch in the big screen with a lot of popcorn and with friends. But I keep my position that Casino Royale is the best of the franchise.

I thought this movie was visually stunning, although its not exactly perfect it certainly looked very appealing and I don't mean just in terms of eye candy (lol). There are various landscape shots of London and other countries which are quite stunning and there are many quite slick camera angles used which help make this really quite an engrossing movie. Given its running time of just over or around the two hour and twenty minute mark, its quite a feat to keep viewers entertained and intrigued throughout, without getting bored and fidgety but I found that I had my eyes glued to the screen for certainly the majority of the time, which, for me, is good going lol. As I say, I found it to be very atmospheric, particularly with the asian casino scenes and in scenes by the asian waterfront (strong colours used, high intense colours seem to be something Sony are into judging by their latest camera advert - its clear Sony make or heavily fund the picture given the numerous product placements for Sony items seen throughout, such as various Vaio laptops - I've noticed this in previous Bond movies) and also notedly during the long battle scenes in Scotland, where the color was drained down to a mere grey/blue. Plus of course it wouldn't be a Bond movie without the long, artsy animated or cartoon-esque opening titles, which are quite psychodelic and have a spooky theme which relates to what we witness at the end of the first scene. I wouldn't say it came across as especially low budget, though it is a bit 'tales of the unexpected'-esque but if you've seen previous Bond movies then you likely know what to expect (which is a bit of a pun, I suppose(!)). As is expected from a James Bond film, it features some pretty slick dialogue, some funny and some poignant and also various good fight scenes (gun and hand on hand, I believe). I had a very quick glance at reviews of the movie before I left to see it and I thought I'd read that there weren't much in the way of car chase scenes but that turned out to not be the case - ok maybe in terms of conventional car chase scenes there aren't many but at the start there's a long scene which involves chasing a suspect including different forms of public transport (I'm trying not to give away too much information in the way of spoilers). I think this is how most Bond movies start? but it was quite gripping and my concerns about this movie lacking possibly some of the better elements of previous Bond movies seemed to fade away. Having said that, as I eluded to earlier I wouldn't say this is a perfect movie in terms of the Bond franchise - for me the downsides include a bit of predictability in terms of locations and character types (which ok perhaps we're expected to take as a given and some things I do expect to see and would be sad if I didn't but one or two token scenes such as parts of the world and types of people involved, just seemed a bit too obvious, a little old hat? I don't know, maybe im a little harsh but I remember thinking that and I don't always criticise movies much, so having thought of it I wanted to add it to my review). The other negative for me, I felt, were a couple of plot developments I found especially hard to believe - don't get me wrong, I know that these movies aren't meant to be taken too seriously (what agent could possibly not have aged much and still be on active duty some 40 or 50 years after the first movie came out, apart from anything else?) but I felt it was perhaps a bit like the Bourne movie(s) in one or two parts where I could feel myself thinking that seems very unlikely - its hard to explain more without potentially spoiling the story, so I'll leave that there but ultimately this is a movie to thrill and entertain and as far as that goes, it does its job pretty well. Also in its defense, as well as some parts being a little especially unbelievable, its also true to say that the good guys don't all come off unscathed (like in some American movies you sometimes see and think if that were real, they'd have never walked away from there - they wish(!)). Also if I were to compare it to the previous Bond films starring Daniel Craig, I think its better than Casino Royale, which seemed to slump for me mid way through if I remember right, this one kept my attention more and seemed a bit more solid, its probably roughly on a par with Casino Royale, although all Bond films feature there own quirks and other peoples opinions may differ on this but thats my thought anyway. This is definitely worth seeing on the big screen ie at a cinema, like I did. Some films can't fully be done justice (as it were) by watching it on a large TV say 32" or so, I think alot of the appeal of this movie, the fact it managed to keep me engrossed and seemed visually stunning, was definitely aided by being shown on a large cinema screen.

It's a watchable movie with a very dumb plot and some other stupid stuff like when a Bond is in a remote country and there is a TV broadcasting the news in english. However there are positive things in this film too: Some action scenes are pretty good and the movie is shot well plus the special effects are nice.

Emotionally driven and beautifully shot. Skyfall is definitely in the top 5 best Bond Movies of all time. Not to mention the finale in the Skyfall estate and the relationship between Bond and M, insane story-writing.

Having watched 25 Bonds from **** to Spectre, I place Skyfall at 4/25. Now to be clear, I'm rating it as 4th as a Bond movie, because I have certain expectations from a Bond movie, which Skyfall did not really want/try to satisfy. If I rate Skyfall simply as a "movie", it is the best movie in all of James Bond. It's simply the greatest movie they made. The emotional weight, the characters difficult decisions, the visuals, the direction, the music (Adele!), the action, everything is just brilliant. They even brought back some of the old style Bond madness, not necessarily its best parts, but it was still a lot of fun to see. Skyfall is simply an excellent, emotionally striking movie, with so many gorgeous scenes and moments it needs to be seen. The only reasons it's not a 10/10 are: - the movie starts with a lengthy sequence that ultimately brings nothing to the plot (and lasts 25 whole minutes) - the villain isn't as great as some say, I found him good rather than great - the classic Bond silliness does come and is great, but it also comes around and is just silly, especially the ending battle where really, there's no reason at all for it to happen this way These minor points shouldn't push anyone away from watching Skyfall, which may not be the greatest "Bond movie" but is the greatest movie the Bond franchise ever produced. Sam Mendes and Richard Deakins at directing and photography particularly deserve a special mention, but Judi Dench, Daniel Craig, Naomie Harris, all deserve mentions too. Skyfall is simply a top tier movie. If I could give it 9.5/10, I would.

Dragged down by a disappointing villain and the strange decision to explore Bond's family, Skyfall doesn't fulfill its full potential but is still a well spent two hours.

I still have to look to No Time to Die, however, I remember watching this movie back in 2012 and I found it so exciting! Yes, Bond's movie are all quite the same, but if the format works... why change it?

What a great film. Javier Bardem is the greatest villain in the Daniel Craig (he's great as always) era. The absence of a relevant traditional "Bond girl" is countered by an amazing Judi Dench. Roger Deakins ir so good.

An extraordinary entry in the Bond franchise. It has a darker and more serious tone than other films. Daniel Craig is wonderful again as Bond. Javier Bardem plays an excellent and magnetic villain. The cinematography here felt much more memorable here than in other Bond films; just incredible. Adele's 'Skyfall' song is contender for best Bond song ever (deservedly winning the Oscar for Best Original Song). For me, Casino Royale is just slightly above Skyfall, but its a damn good movie.

The first James Bond film (in the Daniel Craig saga) that I enjoyed! You can't even compare the previous ones to this... the previous were boring and in my opinion a complete waste of time... this one wasn't! :) This is by far the best from the Daniel Craig saga! The story was interesting, the villain was soooo good and overall this was a great film! I will recommend watching just this one and not the others that comes before it.

Skyfall has everything a good Bond movie needs, plus an entertaining and well twisted plot, a beautiful production design, well acted characters, brilliant soundtrack, magnificent cinematography and of course a talented director. It is the best Daniel Craig's Bond movie so far.

I reaaaaaallly hate how incompetent they made M (Judi) in this film's first act. She is in charge of MI6 (SIS) and does not know basic fundamentals of cyber security, and I hate the overt big tech spyware being shown in the film (Commietube and Guuuuulag) The rest of the film is great however.

Som characters were annoying. Judi Dench is ugly as always, Eve is like wonder woman in the beginning, so the feminism is obvious. I didnt like Javier Bardem also, he is a typical villain you ve seen so many times already. And the news Q is an arrogant kid... But there are some things I liked: The action is not so much over the top. Daniel Craig is great like always and Judi Dench is finally gone.

The second best Bond movie I adore this film the look the action is fantastic, and the focus on M gives a great movie a slight edge add on top what may be the best opening Bond sequences and you have a masterpiece here

“Skyfall” is one of the better Bond movies? Yes, that is a question mark. I hated this movie. Watching people have ear piece conversations does not ramp up the tension of a scene, it just **** all the personality out of the conflict. Seriously, the plot made no sense. The only reason I am giving it a passing grade is because it was competently shot to where I didn't feel like I was watching one big CGI fest. I give it a C, if you've already seen the best, but you insist on watching a movie, try this one out.

James Bond's loyalty to M is tested when her past comes back to haunt her. When MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost. (7)

Skyfall is absolutely fantastic, from its plot to its villain to acting to cinematography, I was pleasantly surprised this being my first Bond film (and being a Mission Impossible fan) Adele's song is catchy, the action is exciting an all around great film

After the not so good Quantum of Solace came another Bond called Skyfall. How much this film surpasses the previous one is not even possible, and I am very glad that the quality of Casino Royale has returned. Well, she didn't even come back, because she still overcame her with this film! Great story with a very good villain. The action scenes here are perhaps one of the best I've ever seen in Bondovky and the music ... The music just has grades here and for me it's the best jingle from the Bond series. The location is probably the best we have ever seen in Bonds. The film beautifully fixed the story cracks and overall it is an great film that I recommend.

This was my first 007 movie and it easily my favourite of all time. They say the movie is only as good as its villain and this film and its villain is AMAZING. 007- A+ Acting- A+ Villain- A+ Plot- A+ Action- A+ Theme- A+ Soundtrack- A+

skyfall is one of the best films that i ever seen it's a good film with a good story but something it's missing... you must see this film if you like James Bond films. age +14

Skyfall is the best film in the series if you sort out the series after it restarted in 2006. Here is a dearly interesting and confusing plot, after the boring Quantum of Solace. And clearly there is a change in the course of the franchise, the addition of new characters and it is worth noting that Ralph Fiennes stands out vividly for his excellent acting. And the film finally ends without happy end.

É um bom filme para a "sessão da ****". Se você está procurando algo pra se entreter e apenas isso, talvez funcione. Mas ao ser um pouco mais exigente, já começa a notar coisas que comprometem e muito a obra. Primeiro ponto são os personagens. O filme tem uma mania incrível de superestimá-los, forçando diálogos "inteligentes" e tampouco naturais, quando o mesmo a frente mostra as trapalhadas das arrogância do mesmo, o problema é que isso não me pareceu de proposito. Outro ponto que me incomodou foi a personalidade do Bond. Aqui o roteirista não parece se preocupar com a modernização - natural, diga-se de passagem; do personagem, que transmite um ar de homem com "H maiúsculo", sendo favorável a moda antiga, desde fazer a barba com a navalha ou sou um ignorante quanto o poder da tecnologia - mesmo que ela tenha sido retratada pelo personagem "Q", que apenas é inteligente quando o roteiro quer. E mesmo que se esforcem muito para passar a personalidade do Bond ao publico, não funciona, pois simplesmente é falado e não mostrado - trazendo mais uma vez um ar de artificialidade. Fora o fato de que é impossível salvar o mundo se você não transou com ao menos duas mulheres no mesmo filme. É insano o fato de que quase toda mulher quer pegar ele. Esse filme mais parece um anime de tarado japonês do que de um filme de ação. A mulher que lidera os 00 é super arrogante e cheia de si e suas decisões, mas o filme não se aprofunda nisso, fazendo com que esse elemento não valha nada. O vilão, como sempre, é um pedaço de saco que serve para o protagonista bater. Suas convicções são incompreensíveis e mais uma vez o personagem só é inteligente quando o roteirista quer. A atuação não convence muito, e eu nem se quer acho que o ator teria background de personagem suficiente pra isso. Como pontos positivos, temos a fotografia - sempre concisa, a trilha sonora original sendo uma das melhores do gênero, efeitos especiais.

Another great James Bond movie and definitely Daniel Craig's best next to Casino Royale. Absolutely a step up from the disappointment of Quantum Solace. The extremely entertaining and thrilling action keeps you interested at every frame. I personally love this movie and recommend this to anyone that is a fan of James Bond or just great action movies.

One of the best James Bond movies of all time, I dont have much to say about thisone because it's so good. Tension, Storytelling, and action sold in the entire bundle. I highly recommend this movie for all bond fans old and new.

Skyfall has great action, locations and a well made story which makes this film not boring but rather exiting and is one of the best films in the franchise.

Mendes has a ground breaking method and chilling ideology to make them sweat, switching into old style beat, gadgets are tagged out and drama in the ring. Skyfall Mendes is the game changer. He sees what a rich character like such deserves. And creating an ugly yet polished world, offering a palpable environment for Bond to survive, Sam Mendes, the director keeps the job, a job. Despite of being the most personal and emotionally driven content, the mano-y-mano perspective let's you fill in on their shoes giving you the up close 3d experience with three dimensional characters which none of these hokum comic books extravaganza can give. This is also probably the first complete script of James Bond, in the sense that the linearity is easily followed and synced with crisp relevant action. The Bond girl Berenice Marlohe leaves a resonant message in her brief appearance, also since this is the only Bond girl with almost no flirt talk, her fear makes her hand and voice shake and the film takes a steady U turn. This is where we catch up with Javier Bardem, who is celebrated with no care in the world by the writers, where you can see them bending the rules and even the script to make sure, he comes off as a magnetic righteous leader. And if he is poised in every step of his plan, M, played by Judi Dench, makes him rubble every time, he encounters her and this cat and mouse chase is spiced with a love track that you not only don't see it coming, but also practically go wolfish to have some more. And amidst all the new recruits to the old employees striking horn for some noble agenda, Daniel Craig, gets overshadowed which too is foliated nicely by Mendes making him the empathetic character, just like Ryan Gosling in Blade Runner 2049 or even Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry to some degree. The ultimate question is, Is Skyfall the best in Bond collection? Yes.
