Havoc is a template street action movie, entirely assembled from clichés. The plot is predictable from the first scene to the finale, the film does not try to surprise and causes rather an emotionless perception - you watch it by inertia. Tom Hardy, for whom many will turn on the picture, plays without much return, and it's disappointing. The only thing that really works is the battle scenes: they are staged in a driving way and look spectacular, which at least somehow saves the viewing. If it weren't for the action, the film could be called a complete failure. In general, "Havoc" is only suitable for one-time viewing for fans of the genre, but you should not expect anything more from it.

Ash is a failure in the Sci-Fi horror genre. The plot is boring and linear: the intrigue of the first minutes quickly dies, leaving the viewer without interest. There is no suspense, ideas are not developed, and the film does not surprise with anything. The cast is mediocre, the main character barely copes with the role. The only plus is working with light: with its help they tried to hide cheap decorations made "of cardboard". But it's not enough to pull out the project. As a result, it's not a horror or science fiction, but an empty shell without content. You can't recommend "Ash": the film gives neither emotions, nor ideas, nor atmosphere.

Initially, it seems like a comedy, but as it develops, a dystopian message is felt. Pattinson plays convincingly, perfectly distinguishing his doubles. Visually, the film is weak - the spaceship and the colony look modest, limited to corridors and several rooms. A black comedy with an unnatural Happy End and an antagonist, exaggeratedly greedy, but an interesting idea.

That's why Last Breath is nice to watch, here the story is very simple and down-to-earth, but you believe in it. I don't know why, but I've always been attracted to movies about diving, but when they try to show ordinary work so carefully and simply, it causes respect. Last Breath is clearly not the movie for which it is worth running to watch in the cinema at the release. But it's a great movie for those who like chamber thrillers. Without murders, violence and other elements of any modern tripper, Last Breath keeps suspense. And it's worthy of respect.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is relevant even more than 20 years after its release. And it will always be relevant. Everything is done at a decent level here. The story is interesting until the very end, the cast is stellar, the presentation of the film is great. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, although it has a non-linear narrative, any viewer will build a storyline without any problems. The film will be watched by more than one generation, for one simple reason - it talks about things that are beyond generations and time. The Electric State is an attempt to make a dystopia and partially post-polypsis for children of primary school age. And the target audience of the project is read immediately. Everything here is either cardboard or maximally hypertrophied. Watching The Electric State without a child is almost torture. The Electric State is the most stupid film according to the script. I don't know the original. But the film clearly simplified the whole story and the setting of the world to the maximum. The cast is not bad, but everyone plays for nothing. And then you see the project budget of 320 million and you don't understand anything else. I can't recommend this movie to anyone, except for children who don't understand the more adult presentation yet.

Conclave is a good chamber drama. The movie is clearly not for everyone. After all, there is almost no action here, only continuous dialogues and reflections. The plot is predictable from the very beginning. But the very presentation of the film without haste, Ray Fiennes' great acting and beautiful Vatican scenery do their job. Conclave is based primarily on the realism of what is happening in the frame. You start to believe in the story on the screen. And as a result, it turns out that Conclave became one of the best films of 2024. In 2024, everyone only discussed Anora. And I haven't heard anything about Conclave in the infopole. The main problem of Conclave is that it is a very specific film not for the mass audience.

Why is there such a big hype around Anora? I didn't understand before watching it, not after watching it. And this project is one of the best in 2024? Honestly, Anora is a mid-level comedy drama. Which still has a very long introduction, the beginning is more than 1/3 of the film. Mediocre cast, of course I'm glad that several Russian actors starred in the Hollywood film of the Oscar-ander. But he's mediocre. The story in which the script revolves is as straight as a tunnel. There are 2 strong scenes for the whole movie, one of which is the final one. And the story itself is secondary. It's already been in movies hundreds of times. Only the circumstances and decorations have changed. The essence is the same. Anora is the most overrated project of 2024.

Marlowe is a level B neo-noir thriller. Everything is done here at an average level, there is nothing outstanding. Almost an ordinary action movie with Liam Neeson. The Ninth Gate is a mystical thriller with Joni Depp. And the acting of the still young Depp is the best thing in the movie. But all this is presented weakly and rather caricatured. The plot develops slowly. And the final third of the movie is just crumpled. The finale is predictable and boring. So it turns out that it seems to be a film by Roman Polanski, on the topic of part Satanism, on which he has already made good films before. But the film is completely secondary and it's disappointing. It can be recommended for viewing only to fans of Johnny Depp's acting.

Rosemary's Baby is a cult psychological thriller by Polanski. The film is somewhat outdated even after almost 60 years. Simple but intriguing plot. Magnificently served suspense, which is pumped up unnoticed, but the final third of the film is literally impregnated with it. The film calmly survived the time, it looks relevant even now. Of course, now the plot of the film is somewhat outdated, society is no longer so patriarchal in the United States, people have become more uninhibited. And many plot moments will not seem logical to the modern viewer. And Rosemary's Baby is probably one of the most striking examples of Satanism in cinema. And most importantly, this example is very realistic and not cartoonish as is customary in most films.

Sleepy Hollow is a classic by Tim Burton. And also a wonderful young Joni Depp. Sleepy Hollow is the brightest example of Victorian Gothic, while it is not shot in urban scenery. You can immediately determine whether you like this genre or not from this movie. This is the gold standard. You can pick on the protracted timing, the predictability of the plot, rather mediocre action scenes. But who cares? When you see a young (with hot actor's eyes) Johnny Depp in Tim Burton's movie. This is one of the best director-actor connections that I know.

Only the Germans could shoot Downfall. Not Western cinema, not Russian cinema will be able to convey this agony of retribution that overtook **** in the last days before the fall of the Reich. And although for the most part, the mass audience associates Downfall rather with the meme of rabid **** on the map, in fact it is an excellent military film without action. There's not much of it here, but rather in the background. Downfall about human relationships. I can't say that the authors of Downfall had an idea to whitewash **** and his entourage. But everything is so well filmed here, so realistic that you believe it. And all this is filmed and presented as abstracted as possible from politics, ideology and condemnation. And the main thing is how the viewer's sympathy for the main character can change from the beginning of the film to its end. This is one of the best fighters of the zeros. They almost don't shoot like that now.

Not a bad cast with an emphasis on European actors. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo has nothing to scold for, it's a very good thriller. Maybe a little delayed, and sagging in the plot in the middle. But the most correct ending, which adds realism. Well, the plus is that this is an adult movie in some age, there are also sexual scenes with violence and torture and incest. This is necessary so that the viewer can get an emotional connection with what is happening. In modern films, in favor of age ratings, this is increasingly being scored.

Jake Gyllenhaal perfectly plays both characters, he manages to make the viewer believe that these are completely different people. The film is clearly not for a wide audience, very slow melancholic pace of narration. In general, Enemy reminded me of an earlier work of Villeneuve - Maelstrom. They cause the same feelings after watching. Although Enemy is a more dynamic film.

Rather, there is a story about a car that predicts the future. And this is also not badly inscribed in the plot. Given that the film was clearly shot for a small amount, the end result is not bad. But this is clearly not a movie for everyone. If you like camera movies - it's a good movie, if not, then most likely turn it off in 15 minutes.

Action scenes don't just look stupid as usual and happen in movies of this genre, they're just poorly shot. So it turns out that Role Play has nothing to surprise. Everything you expect from him turned out badly. And what else is important in movies? Cast? Here he is average, the actors are trying to give away their best roles in their careers. Plot? Well, it's here, we need to somehow connect these terrible action scenes. Role Play is too secondary and mediocre to be recommended for viewing.

Greyhound is a great war drama from Apple. One of their most successful releases on Apple TV. Military drama in general is a very convenient genre if you need to popularize a new streaming service. This is an immortal genre that is appreciated by both critics and viewers. The cast is good, the picture looks great, the sound is beautiful. Greyhound can be used as an excellent benchmark for checking TV screens and tablets. The picture looks very juicy on OLED. As for the film itself, it's a classic war drama, fortunately without Hollywood pathos. There is suspense, but it is predictable. You understand perfectly well that the main character will survive 100%. Greyhound compares favorably with modern military dramas, in terms of its restraint of emotions it is closer to post-war films of the 20th century.

The Gorge is an example of a movie in which the trailer is much more interesting than the movie. The Gorge collected a lot of hype during the release, Apple advertised it as much as possible. Before watching it, it seemed that it was an expensive, beautiful Sci-Fi action movie, and with some kind of plot twist. But first you watch a very long plot, almost a third of the movie. Logic comes out of the movie in the first 10 minutes. And when they finally explain to the viewer what's going on here, the viewer catches a cringe. Was that a plot twist? The Gorge is still one of the biggest disappointments of 2025. But it's worth giving credit that the trailer didn't cheat. There are really good action scenes here, and it's worth watching this movie for them.

Y2K classic project from A24. Cheap, primitive and predictable. In the first 5 minutes it becomes clear which project you sat down to watch and immediately it becomes clear that you are not even facing B-trash, but something easier. And you either turn it off right away and forget about it or watch it purposefully. Sometimes trash can be so bad that it's even good. But Y2K is not the case. Yes, it's not the worst cast, but the script is as illogical and stupid as possible, everything is terribly shot and the film looks worse than some short films on YouTube, shot for a pack of crackers. Do you like A24 projects? I don't condemn, very often their projects are underestimated. But Y2K clearly does not belong to them. I don't advise anyone to waste time on this.

Super 8 deceives the viewer. First of all, he deceives with the cover, director JJ Abrams and producer Steven Spielberg. Sounds promising, doesn't it? Secondly, Super 8 at first looks like a mixture of Sci-Fi and thriller. But firstly, it's a very weak JJ Abrams thriller, secondly, Sci-Fi here is rather background. This is more of a personal work of JJ Abrams than an independent film. It feels like the budget of the film is not big, the cast is not stellar, and you can predict the development of the plot in advance. By the middle of the movie, it becomes clear how it will all end. Because of the predictability of the plot, Stir of Echoes begins to seem secondary, one cliché after another. But over the past 25 years, cinema has degraded so much that it looks good against the background of modern thrillers Stir of Echoes. Yes, it is inferior in all respects (especially the preservation of suspense) to other thrillers of that era. But it is still pleasant and interesting to watch even in our time.

Yes, in the 2010s, the Marvel movie universe will appear and all attention will switch to it and Spider-Man himself will eventually become a part of it. But this is no longer comparable to the original Raimi trilogy.

The only problem with Spider-Man 2002 is that it was filmed in advance by planning a sequel. Therefore, it cannot be called an independent project and much was cut out and transferred to the sequel.

City of Ember children's version of Silo. I decided to watch City of Ember under the influence of watching season 2 of Silo. I liked the dystopia of a closed city surrounded by the ground, where people survive. And how funny it was to watch City of Ember. It's a real fairy tale. So childish and naive that I even liked it. The film is especially revealed when the escape from the city begins. City of Ember is not a bad example of steampunk. The whole city looks like a frozen village at the end of the 19th century. And when you see Tim Robbins in one of the roles. So in general there is a feeling that this is one metaverse of movies. Well, if you seriously evaluate City of Ember, this movie is a failure. It is primitive, it has a weak plot, and the realism of what is happening and the existence of the city is 0.

Superhero Movie should not be taken seriously. Before watching, you should understand what you are going to watch. This is a parody, and you either accept it and enjoy it or do not initially watch such movies. I started watchingSuperhero Movie and expected to get good humor. Still, the presence of Leslie Nielsen in the cast was credible. But unfortunately, Superhero Movie is a mediocre parody, although there are a couple of successful scenes. Apparently, the scriptwriters did not have enough strength for a full timing of the film. Some scenes are not humorous, but rather Spanish shame. Instead of watching this movie, it's better to watch a cut of funny moments.

Heretic is a movie in which it is enough to watch the trailer. After all, all the best scenes are listed in it. And they are all in the first half of the movie. If you only watch the trailer, you won't lose much. After all, the whole second half of the movie is complete ****, especially its finale. There is a feeling that the screenwriter initially lacked ideas to tell a 2-hour story. If we talk about the first half of the film, Heretic is not a bad chamber thriller. Of course, there is a lot of graphomania on the topic of religion, but Hugh Grant's acting levels it out. Another thing is that most of the timing is the dialogues of the eight. And here with other actors, Heretic can't give anything intelligible. Heretic movie cheating for me 2024. I saw all the most interesting things in the trailer in the cinema before watching another movie.

Suspense works almost the entire film, only the first third of the film falls in terms of dynamics, personally for me. The development of the plot is not the fastest way. Of course, if the final part of the movie wasn't something of a fantasy, then Non-Stop would be better. The final action scenes destroy the whole atmosphere of the film. Non-Stop can still be attributed more to trippers than to action movies. And it's a good thriller. You can advise everyone to watch it.

Ghosts of Mars is a classic film from John Carpenter at the end of his directorial career. It's just a trash movie for its fans. If we objectively consider Ghosts of Mars, it's a mediocre action movie and an even more terrible horror. Don't take Ghosts of Mars seriously. Everything you need for such a movie is here. It's sad how suddenly in the 21st century, John Carpenter's career went down sharply. On the other hand, the budget is minimal for Hollywood action movies. But in general I liked Ghosts of Mars, such films were made only in the 90s and early 20s. You can watch it only if you like Carpenter's work.

The Long Good Friday as a textbook for Guy Ritchie. Now I understand where Guy Ritchie got his inspiration from when he created his first and best films. The Long Good Friday is a great example of a crime drama. There is also a thriller, a comedy and a drama. The Long Good Friday perfectly jangles genres. If at first I expected to see something similar to Get Carter movies. He got something completely different. First of all, in The Long Good Friday the main role is played by the wonderful performance of Bob Hoskins. He literally got hooked on the role. And although The Long Good Friday ends quite predictably, it does not prevent you from watching the movie without breaking away. If you like Guy Ritchie's movies, especially Gentlemen. But you should definitely watch The Long Good Friday. It was already removed more than 40 years ago. And it hasn't aged in any way, it's still relevant.

The Third Man is a live classic and just one of the best British movies I've seen. At first, you don't understand what can captivate a film shot for almost 80 years in Vienna, destroyed after the war. And then you can't get distracted anymore. A perfect example of European post-war noir. Great detective movie. Excellent acting by Joseph Cotten. Nowadays, noir detectives don't shoot like that. The Third Man's special charm is conveyed by the place of action. Not only does the action take place not in the golden age of Hollywood, but in Europe. So also in Vienna divided into several occupation zones. If you like noir and detective stories, you must watch The Third Man. This is one of the best films of both its genre and the 20th century.

Blink Twice is suddenly a good psychological thriller. At first, the film is not impressive at all, but it begins to be revealed in the second half. And although already in the first third of the film it becomes clear the main plot twist to watch Blink Twice does not become boring. Unfortunately, Blink Twice can't boast **** female cast, it is very inferior to the male half. And this is a serious assumption for a film like Blink Twice, in which the plot is based on the confrontation between men and women in a closed and isolated place.
