Greetings from Lithuania. "Under Siege" (1992) is an action film that I watched many times as a kid and liked it very much. Revisiting it in 2026 on newly released 4K UHD disk by Arrow Videos was a blast from a past. It looks and sound great on **** of 2026, this is without a doubt the best film with Steven Siegal, and will remain so. It a slick action film directed by Andrew Davis, who a year later created his masterpiece "The Fugitive". "Under Siege" features a first hour so excited, so captivating and involving that in comparison the last 40 min or so felt a bit rushed and to much fast paced. Still, as an action thriller that is basically a "Die Hard" rip off it delivers. Sound is great here, there is plenty of action and a great performances by Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Busey who both delivered great and over the top performances. They are very entertaining to watch and are very memorable villains that elevated "Under Siege" to another level. Overall, "Under Siege" is a memorable action film from the 90's. It is a "Die Hard" rip off but on of the best ones.

Greetings from Lithuania. I've watched "Outland" (1981) for the first time in 2026. The new 4K UHD release by Arrow video was the one I bought. I enjoyed "Outland" more than I thought I will. The performance by the late great Sean Connery was one of the best from him. Directing by Peter Hyams was good - it is an atmospheric, and moody movie in best traditions of "Alien". Music, cinematography and especially set design were very good. Sound is good as well. The story was involving although the ending is a but predictable for sure. It has a good social commentary about corporate greed that hasn't changed since 1981 unfortunately. Special effects do look old of course but I do not mind it - it adds to the charm. Overall, "Outland" is good, stylish, realistic science fiction action thriller with great performance by Sean Connery and excellent production values. On 4K in 2026 it looks pretty amazing and very atmospheric.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Ad Astra" (2019) is an amazing science fiction / space drama for those, who aren't looking for an popcorn Friday sci-fi flick with Brad Pitt. I kinda expected it to be serious sci-fi movie from a trailer i saw, and it didn't disappointing me to say the least. The other thing that intrigued me to see this film on its opening night was the fact that i was amazed by a previous film created by James Gray "The Lost City of Z" (2016) - it was a masterpiece of 2016 (for me personally)."Ad Astra" has a very similar tone to the "The Lost City of Z" and movies like "Solaris" (the Russian, original movie), "Interstellar", "2001" (the second half of that film) and even "Apocalypse Now" - and nothing similar to the lets say "The Martian", quite opposite "Ad Astra" has zero humor in it and its note is a dark, mysterious and bold. I was hocked in the plot of this film from its spectacular and frightening opening sequence till the very last scene. There isn't much action, but the action sequence it has was amazing and chilling in its reality. And acting by Pitt was amazing.Overall, for those looking for a fun sci-fi Friday flick with Brad - you might be seriously disappointed. But those looking for a true sci-fi, the one with ideas, amazing and haunting sets, tone - "Ad Astra" is a true gem.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Eyes Wide Shut" (1999) is a movie that I saw like 3 times now as of 2026, and every time it strikes me a bit differently. First time I saw it like in 2002 when I was a teenager and I liked it, because of many things. Now rewatching it 2026 for like a third time it just strikes of how many things this movie showed that later came out to be true regarding the entire underworld of sex parties and etc. not to mention names. "Eyes Wide Shut" is the last movie made by a legendary Stanley Kubrick. It is not his best by far but it is his film trough and trough. The cinematography, pacing, lighting, set design, editing - it is all to reminiscent of previous films by Kubrick. No other movies feels like his - period. Acting was great as expected by leads but it's the calm and chilling performance of Sydney Pollack that always stood out for me. Music is haunting.Overall, "Eyes Wide Shut" is a long, slowly paced but ultimately rewarding movie experience. This is Kubrick's film trough and trough and that is worth a price of admission alone.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Out of Africa" (1985) is one of those movies that can be categorised under the tag line "They sure don't make movies like this no more". As of 2026 I watched this movie few times and last time was on a beautiful 4K UHD disk that I bought which was released in 2025. This is still a great movie in my opinion, that has great actors Meryl Streep and Robert Redford doing great work here. Klaus Maria Brandauer has also a very good performance here. But the star of this movie is location and the way it is captured. Landscapes look gorgeous to say the least. And this movie is also about love - but it is not to sweet and it features some great dialogs and ideas about belonging to another person. Overall, "Out of Africa" is like a time capsule movie that shows the time that is long past, was created by people who are mostly gone. It is a film that definitely wort watching and rewatching as this is a great cinema.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Possession" (1981) is a movie that has a lot of ideas, some unforgettable images, some good and the same time weird acting, and director that tries to do a lot with a small budget that he has. It is a mix of everything which at the end of the day didn't do anything for me. It is a bizarre film that didn't got my attention during its entire, dreadfully long 2 h 4 min. If I ever would need to rewatch it again, I would rather be possessed instead. Overall, "Possession" has a lot of hidden meaning, which is why it has its appeal. I've watched the 4K restored version for the first (and last) time in my life in 2026 - it does look amazing. The story here unfortunately was a complete mess and I couldn't recommend this movie.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Days of Heaven" (1978) is movie made by a legendary movie director Terrence Malick. Legendary because there is no other director like him. His films starting with this one and trough his carrier are a very unique. They are unique in terms of the way they look, feel and constructed. "Days of Heaven" is the one after which he made 20 years gap up until "The Thin Red Line". Yet it's already features directors trademarks - individual performances are more or less not they key, yet the scenery is the star of the movie. "Days of Heaven" looks absolutely incredible, due to amazing cinematography of a stunning landscapes. You can find these in nearly every film of his. The storytelling feels like a loose pictures, it is like it is drifting. Overall, "Days of Heaven" still looks incredible and it is a good movie to see it in 2026. It can feel odd sometimes due to craftsmanship of Terrence Malick, this is his film after all.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Blue Velvet" (1986) is a striking movie that works as a mystery film, kind of coming of age story as well detective thriller, all wrapped with symbolism that only director David Lynch could have made. I still prefer some of his films more than "Blue Velvet" but this is a good film that I found myself involved in from the get go. Performances were very good by everyone involved and it is easy to see why the late Dennis Hopper become an actor to-go when looking for a good villain in a films from that point - it is a chilling performance. The young and future Oscar winner Laura Dern is also good here as well the entire cast. Music was haunting but it is the director who made his mark with this film. This could have easily been a mystery film that is quickly forgotten but not "Blue Velvet". Overall, "Blue Velvet" is a really good film that I found a bit to slow in some parts, but ultimately a rewarding movie watching experience.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Skyfall" (2012) is one of the best James Bond movies ever made. For me, it ranks together with "Casino Royale" (2006 version of course) as the best James Bond entries. After the messy but still somewhat enjoyable "Quantum of Solace" they really packed the punch with "Skyfall". In front and behind the camera were masters of their craft. Cinematography by the legendary Roger Deakins was amazing. Screenplay by heavyweighters John Logan and Neal Purvis is more straightforward and accessible this time around with some funny and clever writing through the whole film. Directing by Oscar winner Sam Mendes was very good - this is a highly controlled and constructed film that grabs ones attention from the get go and never let go. The Bond villain portrayed by Javier Bardem is one of the more believable, memorable and creepy ones in long and colorful history of Bond villains. And then there is the incredible music with cherry at the top Adele's "Skyfall" which rightly won Oscar as the best soundtrack of the year and it is easily ranks as the best James Bond opening songs as of 2026 - it will be hard to top it for years to come.Overall, "Skyfall" while having intriguing story but full of plot holes, still is one of the few best Bond films ever made. As of 2026, it is easily one of my favorite ones. Great film.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Zootopia" (2016) is by far the best animated movie i have seen in many, many and (did i just said MANY) many moons. Script is brilliant. Directing is on the spot and perfectly matched the brilliant script, which has many references to classic movies / shows / or some pop culture references, which youngest audience members probably won't be able to understand, but adults will be in nirvana watching this brilliant animation. Voice acting was also superb - there aren't superstars in every role, but that isn't a letdown, because every voice in here is brilliantly matched to the character, not the other way around. And there is a sequence with Flash - a killer scene.Overall, i do not know what other animated masterpiece should be born in the rest of 2016 that would claim Oscar for best animation in next years Oscars. This is a big winner, which i think can easily gain nomination for the best original screenplay. "Zootopia" is colorful, superbly funny, excellently paced and amazingly written animated movie which is easily my favorite movie so far this year. Brilliant stuff.

Greetings from Lithuania. So i just returned from the 3D screening of "Alita: Battle Angel" (2019). This is the movie i first saw in development along James Cameron name for probably 10 years now. As the one who highly enjoyed Mr. Cameron's movies, i was kinda excited, but then i kinda forgot about, as many time has **** i went to movie theater with a bit of skepticism, because many recent post apocalyptic blockbusters have bombed and were kinda messy. But "Alita: Battle Angel" has surprised me in very positive way. It has good story (i haven't seen nor heard about material it is based on), amazing visuals, solid acting but the biggest star was Alita herself. The performance and visual effects we simply amazing. Movie could have flopped if the main character wasn't interesting, but this character fortunately glued to the whole movie. This character was simply amazing - couldn't take my eyes of screen. There are also spectacular action sequences. and while the story itself kinda was hit and miss at the time (especially so so love plot), the whole experience left kinda wanting for more, especially when at the end we got a glimpse on a main villain which was a good surprise for me.Overall, "Alita: Battle Angel" is big and fun entertainment. It might appeal not for everyone taste, but this movie was done so well that it left wanting for more. A very pleasant surprise.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Snow White" (2025) is in my opinion the weakest movie from the entire catalogue of Disney classics that were re-made as an live action movie. I saw them all and this one I didn't like, but didn't hate it either. All of the controversies and negativity that surrounded this movies release haven't impacted my viewing of this film. "Snow White" was targeted at the youngest audience members - this is clearly is visible in every frame and word of this movie. It is a cute-look film from a standpoint of animation style CG, characters, animals and etc. But it lacks a skill of simply to be an entertaining movie. There is zero chemistry between Snow White and Jonathan. Performance by Mrs. Israel was pretty poor in here. Music sequences were pretty boring and music isn't memorable. The best part about "Snow White" was Rachel Zegler - she is really talented and great singer, and she clearly could have saved this movie. But she didn't - off screen she was one of the main catalysts for the entire backlash that this film got. Directing by Marc Webb was also kind of "work for hire" - he done two very entertaining Spider Man movie before, as well as brilliant films like "Gifted" and "500 Days of Summer". This is unfortunately his weakest film.Overall, controversies aside, "Snow White" is a pretty mediocre and forgettable Disney live action remake. It lacks anything that makes movies fun and entertaining, and was basically created as product in mind.

Writing and directing by Harold Ramis was flawless - for me this is his best work. At running time 1 h 38 min this is an excellently paced film. Great acting by Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell. Overall, "Groundhog Day" is a classic for a reason. It has unique and great premise, very good script, great performances and the the top notch directing. Greetings from Lithuania. In 2011, as writing this short review for the first time, 2 years have past since "Avatar" blew out the cinemas in this "dying" world. 2 years have past since we visited Pandora for our first time. In these two years, nothing, nothing in this world came even in a mile to "Avatar's" experience (and i'm a real fan of "Inception"). James Cameron is my favorite director since his "Aliens". I simply love every single movie (except the one with flying fishes - killers) he made. I'm waited for "Avatar" from the moment i first heard about J.Cameron making his new "groundbreaking" movie since "Titanic", it was in 2004. In December of 2009 "Avatar" blew out everything. Never in my life i didn't saw anything like that before (and i saw almost everything) :) In local 3D theater in was impossible to have a ticket. Everyone talked only about this experience in theaters.Recently i revisited Pandora on Blu Ray on my 2,2 m x 2 m HD screen - it's a breathtaking ride.Rewatching this movie on 4K UHD became a yearly tradition. It's still looks and sounds immaculate and on 4K this film is a blast from start till finish. As of 2026, this is one of me favorite movies of all time.

It is a weird movie in a sense, and is definitely not everyones cup of tea. Greetings from Lithuania. "Thunderbolts*" (2025) is a movie from a Marvel cinematic universe. I haven't been on a Marvel train in the couple of last year due to fact that got tired of these superhero movies years ago. I've watched "Thunderbolts*" out of curiosity as I've heard positive things about it. And this is exactly what it is - nothing new or great, but some fun and pretty entertaining movie. The premise is pretty good, and story was a bit better then an average hero flick. Humor is all over the place but some of the jokes did land, and I liked the overall style of it. Performances by David Harbour, Florence Pugh were fun and entertaining - by hammering the Russian accent to the point of parody, they are both a fun to watch and in a good, fun way. Overall, "Thunderbolts" didn't restored by interest in Marvel universe by a bit, but I had fun watching it. It isn't a great movie by any means, but better then some (a lot) of the previous entries in this universe.

Greetings from Lithuania. "12 Angry Men" is a masterpiece of a moviemaking in which a very simple story is told in a minimalistic way. There are 12 men talking in one room for the entire runtime of 1 h 35 min and yet it is written, directed, edited and acted so well that you can't take your eyes off the screen. If there ever was one movie made in black and white that everyone should see at least once in their lifetime, "12 Angry Men" is the one.I won't get into details of plot of this film because it's a one that should discover by themselves. This film later was remade many times and in more then few countries and i saw few of them, yet nothing comes close to "12 Angry Men".Overall, "12 Angry Men" is as good as small movies can be done. Its an example for all movie makers in the world that you don't need a big budget to make something simple yet unforgettable.

Greetings from Lithuania.N ot going to lie that I enjoyed "The Housemaid" (2025) for the majority of its run time 2 h 5 min. But at the end this film just probably wasn't that much for me. I liked the performance by Amanda Seyfried - she was great in this film. The premise is fun but far stretched - I had no clue what this movie was about and all of the few twists that were here weren't that great. It is a ridiculous premise that could have worked only in a movie world. Overall, "The Housemaid" run out off its fun premise into a boring and predictable third act with a whimper. It is a fun film to watch once on a boring evening mainly because of Amanda Seyfried. Other then that I left disappointed.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Death of a Unicorn" (2025) is dark satire, fantasy, horror mashup with comedy elements that on paper sounds more fun then it is. It is a well made film - solid performances by veteran actors, solid directing, some nice dark comedy here and there. The premise while not original is nice but ultimately to goofy that one should really care about. I was enjoying it mildly for it's running time 1 h 40 min but somewhere in the middle i caught myself thinking that I just don't really care about the outcome.Overall, "Death of a Unicorn" could have been way better if the premise wouldn't be part "Aliens" (I kid not - there are plenty of references to an old time classic), part fantasy, part comedy and part satire. At the end it didn't made any of these parts to stood out and I wasn't really caring about the outcome in the middle of the movie. A disappointing film yet not the worst one either.

Greetings from Lithuania. "2001: A Space Odyssey" (1968) is truly a great and unique motion picture. By saying unique, i mean boldness of this picture. It is great because of many things - truly unique storytelling, simple and at the same time difficult plot, the special effects which in the year 2014 looks great, classical music incorporated with dazzling and breathtaking visuals and a scope larger then life. "2001: A Space Odyssey" is not a trill ride or "lets grab a popcorn and watch some sci-fi flick" type of picture. To truly appreciate it, you have to sit down and simply enjoy it - it's like watching a painting, and "2001: A Space Odyssey" is a true art. This movie is segmented in parts, and all of them are truly great in they own way. Regarding the last part of the film - art sometimes isn't meant to be understood, but nevertheless, for me it was a bit to much. Overall, "2001: A Space Odyssey" is a motion picture, that can truly be called an art. It's never going to get old, even if humankind will reach Jupiter one day, this motion picture will always going to be viewed as a classic art of movie making. It's bold, unique, gorgeous sophisticated and unforgettable.Rewatching it in 2026 a stunning 4K UHD release just let me appreciate this film even more. It started Will Smith who at the time wasn't a big star, and it proved, that this man can save the world. Needles to say, this is probably the best film of Roland Emmerich. Greetings from Lithuania. "Sleepy Hollow" (1999) is a superbly entertaining horror mystery film with a lot of dark humor. It is no surprise that it's a darkly funny movie, because when a budget is a 100 million $ you can't simply make a horror flick, it would be to risky. Thankfully this movie was fun from the beginning till very end. Set design of this movie is simply one of the very best ever created till this day. Film looks astonishingly, with all Gothic touches, it is definitely of the best and stylish looking movies of all time. The story is very good and intriguing, it plays like good old fashioned mystery with horror elements. Although i don't find this movie particularly scary, it has some spooky moments. Sound design, make up, cinematography were all Oscar worthy. Overall, "Sleepy Hollow" is an excellent Gothic mystery horror film made by a great but uneven Tim Burton. Greetings from Lithuania. "Spectre" (2015) is an entertaining Bond movie. It a solid and sometimes great follow up to the "Skyfall" and it is a good entry into rebooted Bond franchise. Finally we do get to see the famous evil organization behind last 3 pictures, and it does not disappoint. Unfortunately there is one weak side. I thought that Christoph Waltz's character was not fully realized as an ultimate James Bond enemy. He is a great actor, but he wasn't fully and superbly used in here and this is the weakest and the only downside of "Spectre" in my opinion. Everything else here is superbly solid and very entertaining. Directing by great Sam Mendes was very solid and highly controlled. Pacing of this picture was good, at running time 2 h 15 min it mostly never drags and is an involving adventure. Opening was great, with seemingly one unbroken shoot in Mexico - superbly cool costumes as well. Action set pieces are the ones you could expect in this movie, they are great and looks as realistic as possible in this kind of movie. Overall, i enjoyed "Spectre" more than i thought I will be. After magnificent "Skyfall" i didn't believe that it would be possible to top it in the near future, and "Spectre" doesn't top "Skyfall". This is an excellently paced, acted and directed movie about ... well there is no need to go into plot details in 2026 since so many sequels and shows were made. Still this is my favorite from the bunch - sometimes less is better. Performances by Ralph Macchio & Pat Morita were excellent and really glued the film together. These two made such an iconic duet. Directing by the later John G. Avildsen ("Rocky") was excellent. Overall, "The Karate Kid" still works all those years later because its core is excellent. Greetings from Lithuania. "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" (2015) is probably the weakest installment in the series as of 2026. Rewatching this movie in 2026 on 4K UHD I couldn't but feel of the issues this movie have had in its pacing. There are to many places were characters pause to talk about their experiences and feelings in a mid of a quest, and that ruined the pacing significantly. Still, this is not a bad movie by any means, it just that it's more or less the same, it doesn't offer anything new. It is a repetitive movie, and the conclusion of the saga.Acting was OK, nothing special. Special effects were pretty solid, although there isn't that much of them here. It has couple of nicely done action sequences, but they are far and in between dialogs, which we have heard already before. The entire film just felt unnecessary to long and stretched.Overall, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" is a mixed bag. One will get to see how this series ends (at least for this particular period), but that is not it's strongest part. Still, great production values, some amazing looking few action sequences and involving acting makes this for a pretty descent film overall, but not the best in the series by far.

It's has some solid acting (especially from the lead, but no wonder here), nice settings, interesting and involving plot, very good special effects (although there aren't many of them here). Looking forward for a final installment.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Back to the Future Part III" (1990) is a fun, entertaining and very well made film. It is set in the old west and maybe I'm a bit of a fan when it comes to westerns, so this movie for me worked better then Part 2. This is an excellently paced, solidly acted, well written and directed movie with great set design, great music, and good cinematography. The old west scenes did look amazing. As for the entire trilogy, it is a very good one.Overall, Part III is good end of a trilogy. Fun, energetic and little less quirky and confusing then Part 2, I found it to be a lot of fun.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Back to the Future Part II" (1990) is a fun sequel to the great Back to the Future (1985). I've never liked second film as much as the first one - atought no could argue that it is a fun film. It has intriguing visuals of the future - this is where the film stood out in my opinion. And yet the whole premise of Part II feels like a sequel that was made only because the first one was such a commercial and critical success. It still manages to entertain and at its running time 1 h 45 min is a fun film with high energy. Music was again excellent by same composer who scored "Predator", and you can clearly hear some similarities. Overall, "Back to the Future Part II" isn't as great as the first one was for me. I liked it, but didn't loved it at all. It feels tacked on and is goofy as hell, but due to high energy, fun performances, excellent score and some good jokes here and there is fun nevertheless.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Project Hail Mary" (2026) is an excellent science fiction movie. Went to see this one without reading a book and haven't watched watched any trailers, just read that it was from an author of "Martian". "Project Hail Mary" is a superb science fiction movie that is smart, superbly written acted and directed movie. It borrows heavily from the same "Martian", Interstellar", "Arrival". On its own this film works very well and while it does not reach the heights of any of the three above mentioned movies, I still have enjoyed "Mary" imenselly. At its running time 2 h 35 min. this film flies like a wind for those willing to see a good and pretty original science fiction film. Humor and jokes are superb here - haven't expected for this movie to be this fun. Also it is a bit more lighthearted in comparison with "Arrival", and I will say no more. Music was excellent.Overall, "Project Hail Mary" is an excellent science fiction that is smart, and at the end works as a crowd pleaser. That is difficult to pull of but this film nails it. Great film.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Valkyrie" (2008) is a good film directed by Bryan Singer and written by Christopher McQuarrie. The odd part of this film for me at first glance was always casting of Tom Cruise in a part of Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg. I like Tom Cruise very much but this was unusual casting. He was solid in this film but I still believe that they should casted someone else here. This film tells a very true story of the operation Valkyrie during which **** should have been assassinated during WW2. What happened is a part of the history now. This is a solid film that is more a thriller then WW2 history movie. It is expertly crafted, solidly acted but pacing is a bit uneven. Some characters were clearly underdeveloped but then it is a movie about real events. Overall, "Valkyrie" is good film. It is not a great one and given the A list cast and amazing talents behind the camera could have been even better.

Greetings from Lithuania. I am a huge Rambo fan. I loved all of the previous movies and first three were my childhood superhero movie. The fourth one was good action flick, but not a great one - kinda lacked that part that goes between second and third part in any motion picture. And then 10 years later comes "Rambo: Last Blood". I was excited for this movie to see Rambo on screen one more time before i saw a trailer, but after seeing it I knew exactly what this movie is going to be about."Rambo: Last Blood" is the smallest and the weakest movie in the series - in my opinion. It kinda felt even not as a Rambo movie. What it lacked even considering that this is a true Rambo sequel - I wanted to know or hear a little bit more about Rambo himself. On the other hand this is a very hard rated R movie - this is not for kids, and this aspect kinda saved this flick from being not so good. The last act of the film puts even Jason Voorhees to a shame. Overall, "Last Blood" is not a bad flick, but unfortunately is not the best Rambo movie. It lacked the budget, the scope and ambition of previous movies. But for action and Rambo super fans, it is an OK one.

Greetings from Lithuania. "John Rambo" (aka. Rambo IV) 2008 is a pure action film directed by the Rambo himself - Sylvester Stallone. As a super fan of the character I basically grew up with first 3 movies - this was my superhero when I was a kid. And "Rambo IV" didn't disappointed back in 2006. This is a very bloody, faced paced action film were action is front and center, without pretty much anything else. On that it works. One shouldn't look for character development or anything like that in Rambo IV - it's pure action. Overall, while not my favorite in the series (and by far not the worst - leave that to a disappointing "Last Blood"), "Rambo IV" is a lean mean killing machine. Its pure action, premise is simple yet effective and Sylvester Stallone is in Rambo mode. Sometimes that is all you need.

Greetings from Lithuania. "The Mummy" (1999) is a certified adventure films classic at this point in 2026. Watched this movie multiple times back in the day, and rewatching it now in 2026 after many years on 4K UHD disk was a blast. This is a fun, amazingly paced and highly entertaining and rewatchable adventure movie. Two future Oscar winners Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz shine here, and supporting cast is excellent. Sound design, special effects, cinematography, editing, writing and directing are all on point. Music is excellent. This film was heavily influenced by Indiana Jones and that is a good thing. The energy is high here. Overall, "The Mummy" is still a highly entertaining film to watch even in 2026. It blast away nearly every adventure fantasy movie released in last few decades and is a certified classic of its genre in my opinion.

Greetings from Lithuania. "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" (2014) in my opinion is the best Spider Man movie yet, and i enjoyed it much more than any of the Marvel studios created movies yet (though i haven't see "Guardians of the Galaxy 2014" yet) - you can already start throwing rocks at me. Why is it so good?At 2:20 h. running time i was captivated from first till last second. Ye, it was a bit cheesy at the end in the street fight with the kid stepping in, but overall, it's a hell of a entertainment. Great special effects sequences, absolutely marvelous chemistry between two leads Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, and very captivating plot - it's all works. Although the sequence in which J.Foxx becomes a villain (no spoilers here) was kinda lame, he was a cool villain. And what an ending! Bottom line. As i see here at IMDb that there are many who disliked the film, here is the last nail in my review - i will wait for 3rd installment of this franchise much more that i will wait for a sequel to any Marvel movie that i have seen yet - it is superb entertainment.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Strange Darling" (2023) caught me by surprise of how well this film was made. Without getting in any spoilers or plot details, I was surprised of twists and turns this film took. This is small budget film but very efficiently made one. Lead acting by Willa Fitzgerald was outstanding. Directing was very good - at running time 1 h 30 min this film was involving along the way. It is a bloody film, one to be warned. Sound design was excellent. Overall, "Strange Darling" is surprisingly well executed slow burner that is well paced, superbly acted and at the same time a bit to much "artsy" here and there. That does not distracted me from liken it.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Munich" (2005) is Steven Spielberg excellent and epic movie about events that took place after an infamous and bloody tragedy that happened at Munich Olympic games. I have seen many films about those events itself before, but never about what happened after, which is a very realistic tale of revenge. Directing by Steven Spielberg was excellent in here - "Munich" is a hardly forgettable movie that explores in depth events and people related to a plan to execute those responsible for the tragedy. It's a long film and it's pacing is a bit of a problem - it takes many detours from a main storyline but due to good script, great performances, terrific settings this film is worth rewatching even some 20 years after its release. Overall, "Munich" is an excellent Spielberg movie, his one of the more compelling ones about real events. It is relevant today probably even more then in 2005.

Greetings from Lithuania. "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" (2013) is, as of writing this in early 2026, the best film in the "Hunger Games" series by far - in my opinion. This is a near perfect sequel to "Hunger Games" that was good, but this one was just better in every way. Nearly everything in "Catching Fire" works on highest notes - from a terrific acting of great cast, to pitch perfect editing, directing and writing. At running time 2 h 18 min this movie never draggs and is involving from a get go. Revesting the entire series in 2026 on 4K UHD format I did enjoyed this film just as i did back in 2013 - it is an amazing sequel. Overall, "Catching Fire" is the best film in the series, and a great example of how to make an excellent sequel. Bigger, better in every way and involving from start to finish, this is a superb entertainment.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Back to the Future" (1985) is one of those bellowed movies that hits both as a nostalgia driven movie entertainment as well as just a great cinema overall. Revisiting this classic on 4K UHD release I've couldn't stop thinking that this movie is a very close to great films that Frank Capra did in his time. Like it just captures this dream like small city feeling were everyone seems to know everyone, and just the overall tone of the film is a reminiscent of great Hollywood classics from the golden age of Hollywood. Acting by Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd and Crispin Glover were amazing. Music by Alan Silvestri was amazing as well. Directing by Robert Zemeckis is among his very best.Overall, "Back To The Future" works as a science fiction comedy were at its heart is a theme of stepping up for itself (just my personal opinion). At running time 1 h 50 min this movie is nearly perfectly paced and is a big fun entertainment.

Greetings from Lithuania. "The Amazing Spider-Man" (2012) is an excellent Spider Man film in my opinion. I liked all three Sam Raimi Spider Man films back in the day (with third one being a small exception), yet this Mark Webb's film in 2012 surprised me a lot. I thought it was very entertaining movie. While it didn't brought anything new to the table in terms of Spider Man or superhero movies in general, I still enjoyed it very much. The cast of this film is incredible. The two leading actors Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone had a terrific chemistry on screen - their chemistry is off the charts here. Supporting actors were great. At its running time 2 h 18 min this was a long film, but it never really dragged. Overall, the 2012's version, reboot of Spider Man was a really good one for me. Greetings from Lithuania. "The Hunger Games" (2012) is a movie adaptation of "Hunger Games" book series, and it is first installment. The film was very popular back upon its release (same as book), therefore as of 2026 there 5 films in total been made and 6th one is on its way. I did enjoyed all of them so far and decided to revisit each and every in 2026 - on 4K UHD. This film isn't for me best in the series, but it is a really good one. The success of this one made possibilities for sequels. Jennifer Lawrence is a front and center of this movie and she is very good here. But for me it was Stanley Tucci who stole every scene he was in. At its running time 2 h 12 min this movie barrely drags and is involving from start till finish. One big critic from my side is a camera work. During action sequences it is shaky and it's hard to figure it out what is really happening. I know this was the popular back in the day, glad there isn't no longer present for big movies in 2026. Overall, "The Hunger Games" was and still is a good movie. While not the best in the series (for me it's the second installment that takes the crown), it does entertain enough to recommend to revisit from time to time.

Greetings from Lithuania. When it comes to a great war movies, "We Were Soldiers" (2002) is always I think was overlooked. This is a great war film that depicts very true events about the "opening" of Vietnam war for America. It is a brutal, bloody and hard hitting in portrayal of the actual combat. The scenes that leads to Vietnam are well made but a bit to melodramatic. Also some of the ending is a bit to melodramatic in my opinion. But the combat is were this film shines and stands right there with great ones. It is very impressively stages - the editing, sound effects, cinematography, make-up, all off it shines. Mel Gibson is at center and is good in here. Overall, "We Were Soldiers" is an excellent war film in depicting combat and is based on very real events. A good movie overall.

Greetings from Lithuania. "Until Dawn" (2025) is a poor adaptation **** video game. I played VG back in the day few times, and loved it. Movie unfortunately was a poor adaptation. While the opening is intriguing it quickly becomes a tired horror mess where plot is over its head so much and you start to watch at clock every 15 min. to see how much of it left. Acting wasn't bad, it's just that none of these unknown actors (except for Peter Stormire - reprising his role) will win any awards in the nearest decade. But it's the screenplay that dawns the whole thing - i couldn't care less about the outcome with 30 min left still, and that is never a good sign. Overall, "Until Dawn" is a pretty bad horror flick. The storytelling and screenplay are not good even for a horror flick. While the premise is intriguing, the execution is not. Better play the original PS4 game instead.

Greetings from Lithuania. "The Long Walk" (2025) is a movie based on Stephen King's novel released in 1979. I haven't read it myself, therefore i can only comment about the movie. I thought it was a good one. I liked acting by David Jonsson (Alien: Romulus) very much here - he is definitely an actor to look out. Directing by a veteran Francis Lawrence (Hunger Games series, I Am Legend) was very solid. At its running time 1 h 45 min this film was excellently paced considering its premise - the execution was good. The ending was a bit predictable but it's more about the ride, not about destination i guess. Music was very good during dramatic moments. Overall, "The Long Walk" is a bit of a fresh air in a dystopian sub-genre. It's premise is simple yet kinda original. Acting is very good by a lead and supporting characters. All in all i liked it quite a bit.

It features great acting by Kurt Russell, great directing by a legendary John Carpenter and stunning set design. Supporting actors are first rate character actors. Music is terrific throughout the film. The first half of the film that plays like a horror movie sorts of - very moody, dark and atmospheric. If the movie did aged by this time (2026) it's not because of the sets, that is for sure. The plot is simple yet effective. I knew this film before but seeing it first time in 2026 is a different experience that it was when seeing it in 1988. It has good story created by George Lucas, clearly inspired by Lord of The Rings movies. Special effects, pre-cgi, are pretty good and there is a lot of practical effects, makeup that still hold up pretty well. Acting is mixed, but on a positive side. There are many silly moments that do not work, but majority of them do work and that makes for a fun adventure fantasy quest movie. Overall, "Willow" isn't a great movie, but it is solid enough to recommend it even in 2026 if one has never seen it before. Greetings from Lithuania. Imagine my surprise when nearly 20 years ago i was 11 years old and got a VHS copy (a highly good quality at the moment) of "From Dusk Till Dawn". George Clooney was just a new and nice screen presents at the time and the many horror action flick were in the future. At the time i didn't know what was the true genre of this movie, thought it was going to be a nice **** the most 50 min. it was actually a very well made thriller, with some hostages and a very likable main hero (or antagonist) and very basic plot line. But then, suddenly everything changed. At running time i think 55 min (didn't saw this movie in many many years now so sorry for inaccuracy) suddenly this thriller changed his genre in a moment, like probably no other flick till this date (02/05/2015) has ever did. From a heist thriller this became a monster movie, with NO earlier hints on that. NO hints. This is a rare as it can be. Tarantino? No. Yes and no. Even he prepares audience for a ride in a first minutes whatever wild roads it might take them. "From Dusk Till Dawn" was a different kind of beast. Gory, bloody, over the top, and bloody entertaining.Overall, if you haven't saw this flick, you probably won't be surprised of suddenly change in it's narrative during the ride because it's surely was spoiled many time already. Nevertheless, you should DEFINITELY see this flick as it delivers goods. All in or nothing - this flick delivers.

Greetings from Lithuania. "How to Train Your Dragon" (2025) is a live action movie based on one of my favorite animated movies from 2010 - "How to Train Your Dragon". I really enjoyed this movie because it was very close to the material, yet a little bit of that magic probably was lost in transition. Nevertheless, this film was spectacular. Special effects while not on "Avatar" level did looks amazing. Toothless looked exactly as i remember it from animated movie. Acting was very good by everyone involved, especially by Gerald Butler, reprising his role in a movie. Sound effects, editing and cinematography was well as music were great. Overall, while "How to Train Your Dragon" movie adaptation doesn't hit the heights the animated movie did back in 2010, nevertheless it is a superb entertainment and one of the best live action adaptations out there. A must watch for the fans of the original.
